I can have a faith that grows huge in strength and stability as I pursue the Promises of God! Marching across the length and width of their miraculous potential, I speak them into soul ownership and experience the possibility of My AWE-GOD through them.
When I pursue the Promises of my AWE-GOD, I will discover for myself the Kingdom Purpose within the province of God's Promises and I will experience God's Glory as His Kingdom grows in me and through me!
God's Kingdom Purposes Are Always In Play In My Life, With His Intention Of Growing Me Up With Excellence, As A Kingdom Of God Servant Warrior!

The land of God's promises is open before us, and it is His Will for us to possess it. We must measure off the territory with the feet of obedient faith and faithful obedience, thereby claiming and appropriating it as our own.

How many of us have ever taken possession of the promises of God in the name of Christ? The land of His promises is a magnificent territory for faith to claim by marching across its length and its breath, but faith has yet to do it.

Sickness Isn't Only Physical! By Joyce Meyer

The Bible teaches that Jesus came to heal our wounds, to bind up and heal our broken hearts, and to give us beauty instead of ashes and the oil of joy instead of mourning (see Isaiah 61:1-3).

Many Christians read this scripture and know that God wants to heal us from physical and spiritual sickness, but there's more to it than that. The truth is that our emotions are part of our makeup and they can become sick like any other part of us.

The world today is full of people who are suffering from emotional pain. The cause is often abuse, rejection, abandonment, betrayal, disappointment, judgment, criticism or other negative behavior by others. This emotional pain can be more devastating than physical pain because people feel that they have to hide it and pretend it isn't real.

My Thoughts About This = Miraculous Musings! J

Lord you sent me here to this book, to this page by the prompting of Your Holy Spirit. It was perfect for me because I am struggling with my today, with the situations that I am facing that I can't see a way out of; with decisions that need to be made, that I can't see clear enough to make; with fear that arises out of daily occurrences that point to another job loss. This was perfect for me and I am grateful for this Manna given to me today by Your Holy Spirit.

When I cry to you out of my dark place, You hear me, You will shine a light and lead me. There is not one night cry that you do not hear.

You will breakthrough this night season with a "sudden" light and I will be able to see my way clearly and I will move swiftly according to Your Sovereign Will for me. There will be an end to this season of my life where I can't see ahead, I can't see Your Purpose in this dark place, but I do have Your Provision and for that I am thankful.

I love the promise in this that I can't see right now, but I will be able to see later and move later by Your divine unction and authority. I love that… God's Divine Unction-Authority Can Move Me Suddenly From Where I Am To Where I Need To Be - Positioned In His Sovereign Will!

When God leads me and I put my hand, my life completely in His, then I will have His strength, His might, His powerful promptings in my life.

Bring every sudden emergency to You and You will take care of it… bring it 1^st, bring it immediately before any thoughts churn up fear, doubt… bring it to God 1^st… 1^st…. Pray, Fast… 1^st before I get down, before I begin assuming, before anything starts a reaction in me, I need to respond to God 1^st…

My 1st response to every "suddenly" in my life is #prayer to God, so my reaction is never out of my human condition but His Strength-Wisdom.

The tree cut down is that Jesus? And from Jesus' resurrection grows the Bride of Christ. God will help us, He will rest His Holy Spirit upon us and He will guide us to His wisdom and understanding. The Holy Spirit will rest on us and help us make wise plans and help us carry them out. The Holy Spirit will help me know God!

I like what verse 3 implies that we don't judge by the way things look, we don't make decisions based on what people say.

Vs 4 is amazing too in how it says whatever God says is what will happen… I love that God will always do what is right! We can trust HIM no matter what we see in our circumstances now.

4 He will always do what is right when he judges those who are in need. He'll be completely fair

when he makes decisions about poor people. When he commands that people be punished, it will happen. When he orders that evil people be put to death, it will take place.

What An Amazing Picture Of God! Can You See It! Is 11:5 He will put godliness on as if it were his belt. He'll wear faithfulness around his waist.

VS 9 The oceans are full of water. In the same way, the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord.

What an amazing and true promise. Just look around, there are so many things right in front of our eyes that we can't even begin to explain, that we can be in AWE of God for.

10 At that time the man who is called the Root from Jesse's family line will be like a banner that brings nations together. They will come to him. And the place where he rules will be glorious.

This is Jesus, He is the Root of all of our family lines and we can be deeply rooted in HIS Kingdom, where He rules… Infinitely So! AWE-GOD

ISAIAH CHAPTER 12

God was angry with the people, but after His anger subsided, He brought comfort. I love that picture of God.

VS 2 Is an amazing statement of gratitude to God after they had been disciplined by God, they realized it was the judgement, the discipline that brought them salvation, that changed them.

2 God, you are the one who saves us. We will trust in you. Then we won't be afraid. Lord, you give us strength. We sing about you. Lord, you have saved us." 5 Sing to the Lord. He has done glorious things. Let it be known all over the world. 6 People of Zion, give a loud shout!

Sing with joy! The Holy One of Israel is among you. And he is great."

They just went through the judgement of God and they were ecstatic with joy. Repentance brings great joy and you can really see it in these verses, plus I have felt it… It is not fun to be disciplined by God, but afterwards there is no feeling like it, it is amazing, you feel so clean, so unburdened, so awesome! I can relate to them in the above verses…

ISAIAH CHAPTER 13

3 The Lord has set those soldiers apart to fight for him. He has sent for them to carry out his anger against Babylon. They will be happy when he wins the battle for them.

This is just another reference for the Military to see that God uses them as His Warriors, and they carry out His judgement.

4 Listen! I hear a noise in the mountains. It sounds like a huge crowd. Listen! I hear a loud noise among the kingdoms. It sounds like nations gathering together. The Lord who rules over all is bringing an army together for war. 5 They come from lands far away. They come from the farthest places on earth. The Lord and those weapons of his anger are coming to destroy the whole country of Babylonia.

God Uses Soldiers As Ministers Of His Justice!

11 The Lord will punish the world because it is so evil. He will punish evil people for their sins. He'll put an end to the bragging of those who are proud. He'll bring down the pride of those who don't show any pity.

The Lord Will… Stir Up… Rule… show His anger… make the heavens tremble… shake the earth out of its place… anger will blaze out… destroy sinners… punish the world for evil…. Punish evil people for their sins…

It is so hard to see God in this way, we want to think of Him as grace filled, loving, kind but He has many characteristics and we need to see the whole of HIM, respect and revere Him for WHO He is… this is a part of Him, He punishes sin, He destroys sinners… Don't presume on the Grace of God, God still hates habitual sin, He has not changed. We can change the way we view God, but that does not change God. He is the same God Who judged and destroyed the city of Babylon.

Mark Chapter 4

God has scattered the seed of His truth and life. Some of the seed was eaten by birds, some fell on rocky places where there was not much Kingdom soil--- Dig your roots deeply into Kingdom soil, not the soil of this worldly culture, Kingdom soil or your plant will burn. You will dry up if you are not rooted, deeply rooted in Kingdom soil. Don't plant your seed among thorns, because they will crowd you out and you will not be able to bear fruit. You are called to God 1^st ! Be deeply rooted in God's Kingdom 1^st and bear fruit and then go out and share it. If you plant your life roots of your ministry among the thorns, you will not bear fruit. Be called to God 1^st, deeply rooted in His Kingdom soil

13 Then Jesus said to them, "Don't you understand this story? Then how will you understand any stories of this kind?14 The seed the farmer plants is God's message.15 What is seed scattered on a path like? The message is planted. The people hear the message. Then Satan comes. He takes away the message that was planted in them.16 And what is seed scattered on rocky places like? The people hear the message. At once they receive it with joy.17 But they have no roots. So they last only a short time. They quickly fall away from the faith when trouble or suffering comes because of the message.18 And what is seed scattered among thorns like? The people hear the message.19 But then the worries of this life come to them. Wealth comes with its false promises. The people also long for other things. All of those are the kinds of things that crowd out the message. They keep it from producing fruit.20 And what is seed scattered on good soil like? The people hear the message. They accept it. They produce a good crop 30, 60, or even 100 times more than the farmer planted."

37 A wild storm came up. Waves crashed over the boat. It was about to sink.38 Jesus was in the back, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him up. They said, "Teacher! Don't you care if we drown?"

39 He got up and ordered the wind to stop. He said to the waves, "Quiet! Be still!" Then the wind died down. And it was completely calm. 40 He said to his disciples, "Why are you so afraid? Don't you have any faith at all yet?" 41 They were terrified. They asked each other, "Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!"

The measure of our faith is when we can remain steady in trust and belief when the sudden storms of life arise and we know without a doubt God is with us. I love the picture of Jesus sleeping through the storm. If Jesus is with us, and He always is, then no sudden storm should stir up fearful doubt. Omnipresent Reality Check! Jesus Is Here! He's Got This!

When I pursue the Promises of my AWE-GOD, I will discover for myself the Kingdom Purpose within the province of God's Promises and I will experience God's Glory as His Kingdom grows in me and through me!

Agreeing with John, there's a saying in Brazil: "Don't take yourself too seriously… Nobody does!" Of course it's a joke, but, a face too serious often acts like a closed door with a "not available" sign on it. Gratitude and Contentment

"Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus". 1 Thessalonians 5:18… "I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want". Philippians 4:12

Gratitude and contentment go together like turkey and dressing. They feed each other, and are both fostered by faith. When I remember how God has so richly blessed me, I am overwhelmed by His generosity. For example, for His salvation in His son Jesus, I am eternally grateful. His gift of grace, I am grateful for its freedom. His forgiveness, I am grateful for guilt-free living. His love, I am grateful for the ability to love and be loved.
His holiness, I am grateful His character can be trusted and is transformational. Stuff is secondary, while the blessings of faith, family, friends and fitness grow our contentment. We may not have what we want, or even deserve, but in Christ we have all that is necessary. So, be humbly grateful to God, and contentment will increase its influence.
"The fear of the LORD leads to life; then one rests content, untouched by trouble". Proverbs 19:23
Contentment is to rest in Christ, and trust He is in control. Circumstances, good or bad, are an opportunity for Him to show Himself faithful. So, once you go to God in gratitude, you can live life in contentment knowing Christ is in control. Contentment is not passive and uninformed, but rather it is engaged and educated. It is not anxious. It replaces worry with work, pity with prayer, pride with humility, and grumbling with gratitude.
Your peace and stability is the fruit of contentment, which grows out of the ground of gratitude. Seed this soil in prayer, and you will see abundance abound. You are able to accommodate in adversity, because the Almighty has gone before you. You are able to bridle wants in prosperity, because gratitude to God and contentment in Christ governs your generosity. Thank God often, and trust Him to cultivate your contentment.

I completely lost my patience and started yelling, "Hurry! Hurry! Hurry!"

Those of us who have lived in rural areas know that tractors on the road are a fact of life. However, just because they're the norm doesn't make them any less irritating if you're in a rush! I followed a tractor down one of our narrow two-lane roads recently. I could only take the snail's pace for so long before blowing up. But all that yelling, "Hurry! Hurry! Hurry!" didn't speed up the tractor.

How often have I approached God's timing the same way? And it never hurries Him up either.

When God doesn't operate at a pace that pleases me, and I want Him to hurry, I'm reminded of Sarah, Abraham's wife. I have feeling she felt the same way. After waiting ten years for a baby that God had promised (read Genesis 12-21 for the complete story), Sarah decided to "help" God.

Surely ten years was too long for anybody to wait. So Sarah gave her maidservant Hagar to her husband, and the two of them had a child. Soon the two women were at odds. Talk about a soap opera!

Finally, fifteen years later, the child promised by God to Abraham and Sarah was born. God was not late. His timing was perfect. It was Sarah who was in a hurry and rushing things, but she found out there was a price to pay for manipulating her circumstances.

I know Sarah and I are not alone in our desire for God to hurry up. I once heard it said that we are people with gods on our wrists.

In Isaiah 55:9 God says, "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts" (NIV). God's timing is part of His ways. I may be tapping my watch, but He is never late. He may seem slow, but He is always right on time.

Has God made a promise to you that seems sluggish in coming? Has He planted a dream in your heart that has yet to come to fruition?

Don't give up hope! God is faithful, and you can rely on His perfect timing. Fix your eyes on Him and enjoy the journey to your destination. There are things to be learned along the way that will enhance the joy of a promise fulfilled.

Dear Lord, sometimes I don't understand Your timing. It's often very hard to wait, but I trust You. I want to rely on Your ways and Your timing. Help me to learn what I need to learn as I wait. In Jesus' name, Amen.

I like this scripture because it speaks to me about the Truth of God and two ways to share His Wisdom with others. One way to share God's wisdom is by living it out in my life and the second one is by speaking it with peace. My motive for sharing wisdom is crucial to the peace that is imparted. Am I sharing God's Word out of compassion for those who are lost, deceived and hurting that they might have the only solution, Jesus Christ, His Spirit and Truth? What is my motive for sharing God's truth? Is it out of God's heart of passion for someone or is it about me being religiously right? Selfish wisdom is "me" centered in motives all pointing to me. Heavenly wisdom is God centered in Kingdom Purpose-God passion that points to Jesus!

YES! What is the source? Enough with the symptoms, those tend to remain very much the same; different players, same situations. What is the lesson? I've found in my lifetime that I tended to repeat things until I had the "ah-ha" moment I was supposed to.

When Jesus left this earth, He said that He was leaving His peace with us. Now the decision we have to make is, are we going to choose to live in the peace He has given us?

Of course, the devil works overtime to try to get you upset. Why? Because he knows that if you don't remain peaceful, you can't hear from God.

If you watch your life, you'll be amazed at how many times a week Satan launches an attack against you for the sole purpose of stealing your peace. When I finally saw that, God said to me in my spirit, "Joyce, if the devil wants your peace that badly, then there must be something pretty powerful about being peaceful."

It's true! So now when the devil tries to steal my peace, I enjoy holding on to it, knowing that I'm getting the better of him. That doesn't mean I don't feel upset, but I can do something positive about it, I can control myself and be peaceful on purpose.

Being peaceful on purpose is something we have to do for ourselves. Will you choose God's peace?

Prayer Starter: Lord, thank You for providing me with Your peace. When the devil tries to steal my peace, reveal his plans to me. I won't let him take my peace. Instead, I'll remain rooted in You.

If God had wanted all of us to be alike, He would not have given each of us a different set of fingerprints. I believe that fact alone proves we are created equal but different. We all have different gifts and talents, different likes and dislikes, different goals in life and different motivations. A loving person respects and encourages the differences in others. Oh My Gosh, I Am So There With You! I realized something though when I thought about this and that is I have been given the ability to make the right choice the 1^st time because in between my moment to my next choice is where the Holy Spirit is. God is with me from moment to choice. In the center of every moment is the solution that I need for my next choice. If I pursue the goal to keep God 1^st, to make my 1^st calling, a calling to God 1^st, then I step out from my current moment into Holy Ground, where the Holy Spirit reigns with God wisdom that sets me in the perfect flow of God's Kingdom purpose at play, and my next step is a glory glide into the perfect flow of God's Sovereign Will for me as I choose to follow the prompting of the Holy Spirit. I realize that if God is always being then, the Holy Spirit is always prompting me from every moment to every choice, I can make the right choice the 1^st time. How cool is that?!!! There in the center of my every moment to my next choice is Jesus! AWE-GOD! I just have to slow down my impulsive gait so I don't step out in my human condition, but I step out into the Kingdom purposes already put in play by the Holy Spirit at the center of my life, in between every moment is my place of refuge where I align myself in holy alignment with God's Way, Truth and Life and make my right choice my next step. Am I over thinking this… probably yes… but Oh it sounds like a plan! LOL!! Have a great day!

2012 AWE-GOD Gratefulness! Today I want to express my gratefulness to my Father God for His healing touch on our bodies. We get sick and we recover, it is not natural, it is supernaturally built into our DNA! God was, is and always will be our healer! AWE-FATHER GOD! I am grateful!

These thoughts bombard my mind at times and they always seem to come in questions! Why is this season of life so hard for me? I can't figure out what God is up too? What is God doing? Why can't I find the God purpose in this season of my life? I can't do this!
Why does this season of life have to be so hard? Is God punishing me? I have learned not to bog my mind up by giving thought to these questions because they just evoke feelings in me that tempt me to chase them and when I do, they just weigh me down! Silence is good and truth is better! So I do both! I silence the questions with Truth! Truth: God is with me. God is for me. God's purposes are at work in the unseen for my Good. I have a great future and hope! AWE-GOD!

Confession! It’s A Paradox!

If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just (true to His own nature and promises) and will forgive our sins [dismiss our lawlessness] and [continuously] cleanse us from all unrighteousness [everything not in conformity to His will in purpose, thought, and action].

A Purpose-Filled Paradox

Confession! A Purpose-Filled Paradox! Sometimes I wonder if the things outside of God's purpose are the very things leading us by our will to unrighteousness. I truly believe this is why when we confess our sins, God cleanses our will from the things not in conformity to His purposes, because this protects us from falling from our willful thoughts into soul driven actions that are not right in His sight. God's Kingdom Purposes flowing freely are vital for our growth as a Christian.

Sin hinders God's Purposes from shaping us into His Image. Our sins, the human condition that we lift up above God's purposes, the choices that cover over God's Image in us, are what we need to confess to Him. What is it in my life that is lifted above God's Kingdom Purposes? What is it in my life that is hampering my spiritual growth?

Growth is a paradox of sorts as a Christian. When I confess my sins, I grow in conformity to God's Will because a cleansed spirit is a soul filled with God Purposes from the inside to the outside. Growth is the paradox purpose to possibility. My personal growth is possible when there is less of me growing and more of Jesus growing in me and through me. When there is less sin, there is more Kingdom Purpose flowing in my life and Kingdom purpose leads me directly to God's Sovereign Will. In the center of God's Sovereign Will, my spirit grows into His Image. When there is less of my human condition lifted up, there are more of God's characteristics shaped in me.

The 1st step of growing in Christ's righteousness is admitting my weakness has caused sin; a lifting up of my human nature above the Will of God. God's purpose flow is damned up by sin, and without the flow of His Kingdom purposes, growth is at a dead end and my spirit, my inner plant withers. The paradox of growth is seen when I die to self. As I confess my sin humbly and repentantly before God, He forgives me and my sin nature is cleansed, the result being a right standing with God and my spiritual growth is increased. I become more like God, developing and growing in His character when I am cleansed of my sin, because His Kingdom Purposes can freely flow in my life, working out His Sovereign Will in me.

God makes a way for His Kingdom Purposes to work His righteousness in our lives and it all begins with our confession of sin. God is faithful to cleanse us and sets us up in every good and right mind-thought, will-action, soul-attitude and spirit-passion and this always brings about the fullness of His Truth in us and through us. How cool is confession! Wow! It is painfully awesome! What a paradox! AWE-Father God! A Paradox Of Purpose! God makes sense out of insensibility!

Thank You Jesus! Philippians 4:11-13

Not that I am implying that I was in any personal want, for I have learned how to be content (satisfied to the point where I am not disturbed or disquieted) in whatever state I am.12 I know how to be abased and live humbly in straitened circumstances, and I know also how to enjoy plenty and live in abundance. I have learned in any and all circumstances the secret of facing every situation, whether well-fed or going hungry, having a sufficiency and enough to spare or going without and being in want.13 I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency].

Redirect My Pursuits AWE-FATHER GOD! I want to be redirected and be found content simply-significantly in Christ Jesus! I am learning this and it truly has been a redirection of what I have been chasing after. When I chase after my wants to try to keep myself in that all illusive human comfort zone, I am never truly satisfied, just burned out tired! Crazy isn't it, that our comfort zones we strive to keep in place around ourselves are actually places of deep discontentment! Hmmmmm! Stop Chasing After My Wants And Step Out Of My Comfort Zone! Yes! I would rather be found in the flow of God's Kingdom Purposes, even if it is taking the path of spiritual risk and living dangerously for God. Why? Because this kind of risky surrender makes me vulnerable, responsive clay in the Potter God's Hands! It is truly a risk to tear down my comfort zone and completely bear my heart to The Potter God, in order to be shaped by Him for Kingdom growth! True Contentment is a place I can only find in the perfect, Sovereign Will of my Father God, it isn't something I have chased down and created for myself, it is a position God placed me in at salvation, a position in His Grace. When I chase my human rights, my worldly plans, my excessive creature-comfort-wants, I leave this position of God-Grace and step right into insatiable human discontentment, which I like to call "the human condition". I can kindle my own fire and walk by the light of it only temporarily, because unlike the light of God's all consuming fire, my fire flames out, not lasting the storms of my culture. Nothing I chase in this world, can replace the peace I have when I am positioned in my Father God's Grace! When I pursue God 1st, being called to Him 1st, I may not find this to be a hospitable-comfortable place for my wants, my plans or my dreams, but I need to stay put, instead of running from the discomfort I feel, because this for sure will be a place of God's peace, a position in Christ that surpasses all of the earthly things I personally chase after. I am redirected by surrendered followship that plants me smack in the center of the flow of God's Kingdom Purposes, a place where inner contentment flows in abundance as I put all my hopes and expectations in God and He returns His Sovereign Will wrapped up in His Peace and His Infinite Love. Redirected by God's Holy Spirit, I am no longer chasing the wind, or being tossed to and fro by the storms in my life. Pursuits redirected to Kingdom purpose, cause me to be caught up by the Holy Spirit, Who captivates me with His contentment and anchors me by His great hope. Positioned in God's Grace and in pursuit of His Kingdom Purposes, I know without a doubt that I have a great future and hope and my life journey is sweetened with God's Grace and strengthened by His Joy! I don't chase my wants anymore; it is a futile race that I can't win. I run the race of faith and I persevere with a huge prayerful desire to be found in the perfect Kingdom Purpose flow of my Heavenly Father, because in this position, all things that are uncomfortable to my flesh will eventually be "Kingdom Good", and in this future promise and hope rests my contentment! AWE-FATHER GOD!

Isaiah 7

They were up against the impossible and God told the Prophet to tell them not to fear, to quiet their fears in the face of fierce anger- God had the final say and the outcome was His.
If you don't trust in the words of the prophet and rely on God, then you will not remain. Wow… can you imagine being told that! They had a choice.
Ahaz said he would not ask for a sign from God, He would not tempt God, and the prophet said back to HIM you try the patience of God and of me. Then he told Ahaz about the coming messiah, this was God's sign of deliverance.
The prophet said Ahaz was sickened with dread… interesting analogy but so very true

Write in the way that even the humblest man can read
Prophecy about the riches of Samaria, Israel's capital being taken away to the king of Assyria
Why? The people tried to do things on their own, independent from God… refused and despised the waters of Shiloah- perennial fountain of Jerusalem, symbolic of God's protection and sustaining power.
Therefore God brought upon them the waters of the River Euphrates, strong and many…. The armies will sweep into Judah, overflowing, reaching to the neck of Jerusalem.
You can wage war in an uproar, yet be broken into pieces and you can take counsel together but it will come to naught, you can speak words but they will not stand when God is for you, nothing is against you.
Do not be afraid, do not fear what they fear or make other afraid. God should be your fear, God should be your dread, let you offend Him by fear of man and distrust of Him!
God is the sanctuary- the sacred indestructible asylum to those who reverently fear and trust in HIM
He is also a stumbling block and a Rock of offense to those He has judged – they shall fall and stumble, be broken and snared.
When the Lord hides His face against your country, all you can do is wait, look for and hope in God.
Getting direction from mediums and wizards is like consulting the dead on behalf of the living.
Direct yourself to the Word of God-His testimonial promises – stand in accord with His Word and there will be a morning dawn to your night season
If you consult a medium, there will be no help for you. When hungry you will fret and curse. No matter where you look, you will only se distress and darkness, gloom and anguish… you will be driven away into the thick darkness of an obscure night.

Mark 3

He Pharisees did not care about the man with the withered hand, all they cared about was their stupid rules. They did not celebrate what God had done, instead they confronted Jesus because he broke their religious law.
Can you imagine how stony their hearts were that they confronted the King of Heaven about a man made law!
Jesus completely restored this man's hand and it did not even faze them, they only wanted revenge because they felt Jesus mocked their religious laws. They did not even see the miracle, they were blinded by the law.
People heard about Jesus and came for many different villages
Jesus planned a way of escape, by telling the disciples to have a boat ready because the crowds had a way of pushing him and pressing up against him so that they might touch Him.
The demons fell before Him, recognizing that He was The Son of God… interesting how the Pharisees could not see what the demons saw.
Jesus called those He wanted and chose them to be with Him, to be his apostles or special messengers. He gave them authority and power to heal the sick and drive out demons.
Simon He named Peter; James son of Zebedee; John the brother of James, Jesus named them Sons of Thunder; Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew-Nathaniel, Matthew, Thomas, James son of Alphaues, and Thaddeus; Simon called Zelotes and Judas Iscariot who betrayed Him.
Can you imagine being Judas and forever going down in history as one who betrayed God. It makes me feel sorry for him, but it also puts a steel will in me to not betray God..
Jesus' family thought he had gone insane and they plotted to take him away. The scribes added to it by saying He was possessed by Beelzebub and by the prince of demons, He is casting out demons.
Jesus said how can that be possible: satan driving out satan? A kingdom that is divided and rebelling against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. If a house is divided, split into factions and rebelling against itself, that house will not last!
You can't say yes to some things and no to others – divided in heart, your Christianity will not stand.
You can't plunder a strong man's house unless you bind him 1^st.
An everlasting trespass: speaking abusively or maliciously represents the Holy Spirit- no forgiveness for this.

Psalm 137 is in trouble with a leadership problem… we cried and cried and remembered the good old days… we stacked our unplayed harps… our captors demanded songs… How can we sing God's song in this wasteland

1. What do you cry about?

2. What do you sing about?

If I ever forget you, let my fingers wither and fall off like leaves…

3. What do you dream about?

Cried about people not reaching their potential because they had bad leadership. Everything rises and falls on leadership. This is an eternal principle. When leadership is bad, there is no song. People were born to sing, but they don't sing, they can't… there is nothing to sing about. They don't have good leadership.

What do I cry about. People who do not have good leaders.

When He saw the crowds, His heart breaks because they are lost, confused without a shepherd. Without great godly leadership there is no hope for people. Jesus knew this.

Working hard isn't the answer. It is all about Jesus, His passion in your heart.

Nehemiah asked about the Jews and Jerusalem: I ask them about the conditions … conditions are appalling.. city gates cinders… when I heard this I sat down and wept. I mourned for days fasting and praying for the God of heaven…

They had a leadership problem….

Nehemiah teach us You never lighten the load for OHTERS until you feel the load Yourself. The burden gives leadership integrity, purity comes when it hurts you when you see people that don't have good leadership. If we don't feel the burden 1^st, we can't with authenticity lift the burden for others.

Before I can transform anything, I must be transformed… leadership begins with me!

Every effective leader feels the weight of their calling! You understand you can't escape it.

Philippians 4:11-13

Crazy isn't it, that our comfort zones we strive to keep in place around ourselves are actually places of deep discontentment! Hmmmmm! Stop Chasing After My Wants And Step Out Of My Comfort Zone! Yes! I would rather be found in the flow of God's Kingdom Purposes, even if it is taking the path of spiritual risk and living dangerously for God.

Why? Because this kind of risky surrender makes me vulnerable, responsive clay in the Potter God's Hands! It is truly a risk to tear down my comfort zone and completely bear my heart to The Potter God, in order to be shaped by Him for Kingdom growth! True Contentment is a place I can only find in the perfect, Sovereign Will of my Father God, it isn't something I have chased down and created for myself, it is a position God placed me in at salvation, a position in His Grace.

When I chase my human rights, my worldly plans, my excessive creature-comfort-wants, I leave this position of God-Grace and step right into insatiable human discontentment, which I like to call "the human condition". I can kindle my own fire and walk by the light of it only temporarily, because unlike the light of God's all consuming fire, my fire flames out, not lasting the storms of my culture. Nothing I chase in this world, can replace the peace I have when I am positioned in my Father God's Grace! When I pursue God 1st, being called to Him 1st, I may not find this to be a hospitable-comfortable place for my wants, my plans or my dreams, but I need to stay put, instead of running from the discomfort I feel, because this for sure will be a place of God's peace, a position in Christ that surpasses all of the earthly things I personally chase after.

I am redirected by surrendered followship that plants me smack in the center of the flow of God's Kingdom Purposes, a place where inner contentment flows in abundance as I put all my hopes and expectations in God and He returns His Sovereign Will wrapped up in His Peace and His Infinite Love. Redirected by God's Holy Spirit, I am no longer chasing the wind, or being tossed to and fro by the storms in my life.

Pursuits redirected to Kingdom purpose, cause me to be caught up by the Holy Spirit, Who captivates me with His contentment and anchors me by His great hope. Positioned in God's Grace and in pursuit of His Kingdom Purposes, I know without a doubt that I have a great future and hope and my life journey is sweetened with God's Grace and strengthened by His Joy!

I don't chase my wants anymore; it is a futile race that I can't win. I run the race of faith and I persevere with a huge prayerful desire to be found in the perfect Kingdom Purpose flow of my Heavenly Father, because in this position, all things that are uncomfortable to my flesh will eventually be "Kingdom Good", and in this future promise and hope rests my contentment! AWE-FATHER GOD!

Listen! The Bridegroom Speaks About Rejoicing!

Dearest Bride, When you think about My return what is the thought arising from the corridor of your mind and knocking on the door of your heart? What emotions do reflecting on My return stir up in your soul? Do you day dream about how wonderful it will be to finally be united with Me? I have listened to your heart and peeked at your soul this past week and lately the reflections of your spirit have no joyful image! I understand you are going through hard times! Lawlessness is not easy to deal with, especially when there are a lot of people habitually sinning! In your generation, most choices are leading towards bad options because people are doing what is easy, culturally correct and commonly done by others, instead of what is right. I can suppose, in times such as these, the consequences of people's self absorbed lifestyle is difficult to bear. I have walked in your shoes and I understand how you feel! I can empathize with how your outlook on life can be affected as you regularly receive negative input from your world. Desiring God More Than His Blessings

How many of us can actually say, 'I am not jealous of anyone else or envious of what others have. If God gave it to them, then I want them to enjoy it"?

The Word says, "Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have" (Hebrews 13:5 NKJV). I believe God tests us to see if we will live by this verse.

There are times when He will put somebody in front of us who has exactly what we want, just to see how we will respond. Until we can pass His "I am happy for you because you are blessed" test, we are never going to have any more than what we have right now.

If you have asked God for something and He hasn't given it to you yet, rest assured that He is not holding out on you. He simply wants to make sure that you rid yourself of jealousy and make Him your top priority.

God wants us to prosper in every way. He wants people to see His goodness and how well He takes care of us. But we must desire God more than we desire His blessings.

Prayer Starter: God, I want You to show me the areas of my life where I've given in to jealousy and covetousness, and help me rearrange my priorities. I want to desire You more than Your blessings.

This is so true, I believe we need to come into a Holy Alignment with our Salvation. We are called to God 1^st. The Father God of our Salvation desires a "completely" from us! God wants us to be All-IN with Him. We need to be in pursuit of finding the position of Oneness with God in the ALL of our everything and this is being ALL-In with God, Holy Aligned with His Kingdom purposes with our life-roots dug deeply in His Kingdom soil. More of Him, less of us, more of His divine nature, less of our human condition is our Holy habit that we need to consistently establish in our lives; from every moment to every choice we need to put God 1^st, we need to choose Jesus 1^st over our every want. I hope in 2012 to learn the spiritual habit of making my 1^st choice the right choice! AWE-GOD!

Obedience is a far reaching choice; it closes the gates of hell and opens the windows of heaven, and it has the power to affect many people. Just think of it: Because of Jesus' willingness to be obedient, countless multitudes will be brought into right standing with God. Joyce Meyer

Kimberly, walk on water!?!

Matthew 14:26-32 And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear. But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid. And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.

Peter exhibited GREAT faith when he stepped out on the water... but then he allowed his immediate surroundings to hinder his walk! Peter's faith began with a tremendous bold step, but it required a level of focus that he wasn't used to. Follow through.... that was the problem; those pesky waves, and the way he usually thought about and experienced water; (not something that generally supports your feet)...

We all know what Peter should have done, right? Keep his eyes on the Lord, NOT the waves!!! That's easy for us to say. But how many of us have ever stepped out of the boat? I didn't notice any of the other disciples playing follow the leader with Peter. :)

Kimberly, I see two things from this: First, put a little adventure into your life; step out on the water; you might actually enjoy the exhilaration and really glorify God on the way. And secondly, If and when you do, learn from Peter's mistake. Make sure you live life keeping your focus on the Lord (not on your own spiritual ambitions)...because you can be totally confident the waves will come, once you're out of the boat. But watching the Lord of Life walking there with you will give you the vision to follow through. Now that is another Holy Spirit moment… Make sure you live life keeping your focus on the Lord not on your own spiritual ambitions! Wow… that is an adjustment I realize I have been making over the last 3 years, just did not know how to put it in words… that is the truth… I set so many ambitions for myself spiritually and when I don't live up to them, I sink… My focus is key and I need it to be on The Father God. Yes my immediate moment does hinder my faith walk, I need to learn to follow through with followship! My new level of focus needs to be followship!

What does it mean to be devoted in love and to honor another above myself? It is much more than being selfless—I gladly prefer to put another's needs ahead of my own. Because I hold the relationship in such high esteem, I want them to feel the power of being preferred over my agenda or expectations. In marriage devoted love matters most.
Husbands who love by engaging their wife's emotions grow in patience and understanding. The insensitive coldly dismiss and dishonor a loved one's concerns, but a true lover looks for ways to work things out for their spouse's benefit. A wife honors her husband when she seeks to know his work world and empathize with his challenges. Only you, with love and honor, can uniquely meet certain God-given needs in your spouse.

Devotion to one another flows out of our devotion to the Lord. The more we allow Jesus to love us, the more we have capacity to love others. Our heavenly Father waits patiently to hear our hearts and then opens His heart of healing grace, insightful wisdom, caring conviction and patient forgiveness. We honor Him to honor others.
Is your devotion to the almighty dollar or to Almighty God? Do you honor heaven's agenda over the ways of the world? Your selfless devotion to family, friends and faith forever marks them with your Master's fingerprints of love and honor. Therefore, make it your goal to grow your relationships in love, honor and glad service for God. A sense of superiority has no home in relationships—love esteems others above themselves.
"Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others." Philippians 2:3-4

Honor heaven's agenda over my own… this is where I am growing. Honoring also has attached to it good attitudes, I don't think honor is honor without a Godly attitude serving it forward. My devotion to my life's work for God comes out of my AWE and honor of Him. I love what He said about selfless devotion, that it was fingerprints of love and honor that we leave with others. Value the Infinite more than valuing the human wants and this is loving others more than yourself.

Abraham, "did not know where he was going" --- it simply was enough for him to know he went with God. He did not lean as much on the promises as he did on the Promiser. AWE-GOD! Thank you Holy Spirit for leading me to this book to this page to receive what I needed to hear. I need to develop my relationship with the Father God. Forgive me Lord for leaving You out of the picture. This is a Triune God for a reason and I have been ignoring my Father God in the aspect of my relationship with the Triune God. I realize that after this week of fasting. I need to grow deeper in relationship with the Father God .I am His daughter, He is my Spiritual Father, my forever Father. I just lived this out! I was so restless, the day was gone and I felt weak and I knew I needed to take a break from all things and just walk with God. I could not find my way out of the restlessness because God designed it that way, He knew I needed to stop my life before I stumbled over things in my heart that needed to be dealt with. He took my hand and led me by His Way and I followed Him all week as we delved into my soul and the dark restlessness lost it's hold on me as I submitted to God's cleansing and healing touch. He has shown me what to do to stay out of this darkness, to move forward in complete trust and followship. Thank you Jesus for an incredible week with you, I am so grateful that you love me enough to confront me, change me and encourage me!

God has ordained every situation in your life with the sufficiency of His purposes in play, and they will lead to His Sovereign Goodness, because your life in Christ is infinitely great and eventually all God-Goodness will surface from the unseen to the seen as His perfect timing reveals breaks through from heaven to earth.

This is an appropriate scripture to end my fast and seeking God week with! It tells everything in His Voice that He has spoken to me this week. I need to make peace with my family as I follow after Him, I need to leave my past behind reconciled in peace as far as it depends on me. I need to strengthen my relationship with the Father God, because this will bolster up my feeble human condition. I need to not fear my future, because God does not fellowship with fear, He has never feared and does not want me to fear, but to trust Him completely. God has disciplined me using a strong restlessness and for that I am grateful, because during this time God exposed a dark place in my soul, an idol of nostalgia of my past and I have broken it by His Spirit and Truth and I am walking forward, leaving my past behind in followship of what God has for me today. My path is going in the right direction, I will not veer of course as I fully face my God and stop the habit of looking back with nostalgia for my past. This has caused feebleness in my soul. I have been charged by God to exercise foresight and be on the watch for others by exhorting and encouraging them with a heart of His compassion, because their story is my story and my story is their story because we share the same common denominator which is the Father God, we are His children and I commit to pray for them and mentor, hold them up and point them to Jesus, until they can stand positioned in His Grace and fully face Him, stepping out into the flow of His Kingdom Purposes. I am to continue to develop my AWE of God through a spoken gratefulness, a daily testimony of thanksgiving to AWE-GOD and develop community in the Bride of Christ founded upon this AWE of God! I am to work hard at my salvation by creating a spiritual habit where I make the right choice the 1^st time. My 1^st step out of bed every morning will be to bow down before my AWE-GOD in humble-respect and submissive-awe and every night before I go to bed, I will bow down in gratefulness for all He is in me and all He has done through me.

Isaiah 5-6

I am God's Representative… Wow… that needs to sink into my life, come out of my heart and through my actions. God is my greatly beloved and I am His representative of a love such as this one!
I am His vineyard, His chosen people.
God did so much for and in His vineyard and looked for it to produce grapes because of how well He had tended it.
God was upset about His Vineyard because He had worked so hard and nothing happened so He said He would take away the hedge, the hedge of protection and God Favor. This so much looks like America to me.
God laid his vineyard to waste, did not prune it or cultivate it and briers and thorns arose. He took away the rain. Why because when He looked for justice He saw oppression and bloodshed, when He looked for righteousness, for uprightness and right standing with God he heard a cry of distress and oppression. People violently expelled the poor in order to feed their greed for power and money and land ownership.
God said because of this that even the beautiful houses would not be inhabited. The provider of seed and harvest would be corrupted because they have not regarded the Lord. This is where we are headed in this country, Oh my heart hurts for us, we will be brought low and we will be humbled by God, we will know captivity to our enemies because we have stricken the knowledge of God. Honorable men will be glory famished and common people will parch with thirst. The common man is bowed down, the great man brought low and the eyes of the haughty are humbled.
We bring punishment upon ourselves by our wickedness. We call evil good and good evil and put darkness in place of light and light transposed to darkness. We are wise in our own eyes and shrewed in our own sight. We justify and acquit the guilty for a bribe and take away the rights of the innocent and righteous… our root will be like rottenness and our blossom will go up like fine dust because we have rejected God and His truth.

Isaiah 6

Isaiah saw a vision of God sitting on a throne high and lifted up… Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord of Hosts, the whole earth is filled with His Glory

He heard the voice of the Lord saying, Whom shall I send? And who will go for Us? then I said I, Here am I; send me.

God shared His frustration with the people who hear and hear continually but don't apprehend it in their mind, they see and hear and understand not with their hearts. Until they understand with their hearts and turn again and be healed. The Lord will remove the people and a tenth of them will remain in the land, the holy seed, the elect remnant is the stump and substance of Isreal

Mark 2

Jesus was discussing the Word in Peter's house and it was full.. people wanted to bring a paralytic to Him to be healed, they believed in Jesus so much that they went to great lengths to get this man to Jesus, they dug through the roof above Jesus. Jesus saw the faith and confidence they had in God and because of that He healed the man. How awesome is that. Jesus responded to their confident faith in God.
The Scribes in their spiritual pride were angry with Jesus because He healed someone on the Sabbath. He showed them the power and authority that He had was greater much more so than their religiosity.
Jesus continued to teach, meeting the people where they were at, going to them. I love that. He did not sit around, He went to where the people were at.
The Pharisees were put off that Jesus went to where the sinners where and He actually sat and ate with them. Jesus shared His mission at that point to minister life to the weak and sick and call the sinner to repentance.
Jesus was confronted and asked why His disciples did not fast and He told them they did not need to fast when the Bridegroom was with them, but in the days ahead when the Bridegroom was taken away that they would need to fast.
Jesus described Himself as a New Wine that would not be put into an old wineskin, but a New Wine that would be put into new fresh wineskins.
The disciples picked off grain on the Sabbath and the disciples confronted Jesus… He told them the story of David when he was in need of food how He went into the house of God and ate the sacred loaves. He then explained how the Sabbath was made on account of and for the sake of man, not man for the Sabbath. I am Lord of the Sabbath said Jesus!

Man's offense "smells to heaven": massacres, broken treaties, beatings-up, theft, kidnappings, enslavement, deportation, floggings, lynchings, rape, insult, mockery, and odious hypocrisy, make up that smell. But the thing comes nearer than that. Those of us who have little authority, who have few people at our mercy, may be thankful. But how if one is an officer in the army... a hospital matron? a magistrate? a prison-warden? a school prefect? a trades-union official? a Boss of any sort? in a word, anyone who cannot be "answered back"? It is hard enough, even with the best will in the world, to be just. It is hard, under the pressure of haste, uneasiness, ill-temper, self-complacency, and conceit, to continue intending justice. How do you know when God is stirring your heart for a change in ministry assignment?

I work with pastors every week who are asking this question. I previously posted my answer to this question, but after several conversations recently I thought it was time for a revision to strengthen some of the points based on what I'm currently learning and observing. This can be one of the most grueling decisions a Christian leader makes. Because most of us feel we are in positions God has called us to do, it is often more difficult to leave one called position for another called position.

Several times in my ministry, first as a layperson and since then in vocational ministry, God has called me to leave one ministry and begin another. It can be a scary place to face the unknown, yet know that God is up to something new in your life. In sharing my experience, I am hoping it can help others process through what God may be doing in their life. Please realize that God uses unequaled experiences in each of our lives, but at the same time there are some common patterns I think each of us may experience, while the details remain unique.

Here are 5 steps I have experienced as God has led me to something new:

Wonderful sweet success – Each time the door of a new opportunity opened it began opening (looking back) when things were going well in my current ministry.

Inner struggle – I usually have not been able to understand what God is up to, but there is something in me (and usually in my wife at the same time) where I know God is doing something new. It could be a growing dissatisfaction, consistent unexplained frustrations, or just an uneasiness where I am currently. While I do not know what it is, and often not even if it involves a change in my place of ministry, I know God is working something new in my heart.

Closeness to Christ – Brennan Manning calls it a Dangerous love of Christ. During the times leading up to a change of ministry assignment I will be growing in my relationship with Christ, usually in new depths of trust and abandonment. Again, looking back I can see this clearly, but at the time I usually am just enjoying the closeness to Christ not expecting anything.

Opportunity presents itself – An opportunity seems to come from nowhere. In some seasons there has been multiple opportunities at the same time. Reflecting back, I can see this is the pattern that has occurred each time. It is only after these first three experiences that God brings a new opportunity my way. This is probably because my spirit must be totally aligned with His Spirit in order for me to trust the new work He calls me to, because I have yet to feel completely "ready" for the next step in my journey with Christ. New steps of obedience always involve a leap of faith on my part. I'm always stretched in my trust beyond where I've been previously, but this process prepares me to be ready to say "Yes Lord…Here am I…send me."

I surrendered to God's call – After I receive confirmation in my spirit, review the journey God has had us on, and Cheryl and I agree where God is leading, I have yet to refuse the next assignment. That does not mean it is easy for us to leave our current ministry, but it has always been most rewarding to know we are in the center of God's will for our life.

A special word to the spouse: Cheryl has never been "ready" to leave friends in our current ministry, but she has always lined with me in knowing God was calling us to a new work in our life. Cheryl has always had the same Spirit's leading that I am having, often before me. God has never allowed us to be confused with differing messages. That's part of our confirmation.

Discerning a change in ministry assignment can be a difficult task, especially when you are comfortable where you are currently. Perhaps my experiences can help.

Thank you for this, it helped me today! We had been involved in Campus Life Military Ministry at Ft. Benning Georgia and were just enjoying sharing the Word, loving and encouraging the soldiers and watching God draw them to Him, encourage them and change their destiny. It was awesome! God suddenly moved us and it has been a difficult transition. I realize that I am called to God 1st and that holds me steady, but I had extreme restlessness in our new town and I could not shake it, so I took a week off from everything and fully faced God. God showed me that my restlessness came from looking back with "nostalgia" and this nostalgia became a strong hold and he told me to get my mind out of the past and move forward with Him in complete followship and trust of Him. So I am letting go of my past and waiting on Him with active faith that does not despise a small beginning and a hope that faces forward, expecting a suddenly!

God has revealed it to us by His Spirit, the Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God… The Holy Spirit knows our thoughts, only the Spirit of God knows God's thoughts… we have received the spirit from God, we are taught by the Holy Spirit, God's spiritual truths in His spiritual words… If someone has not accepted the Holy Spirit, they won't understand our words from God… Who has known the mind of the Lord, we have the mind of Christ… We do not receive the spirit of the world, but the spirit that is from God, not in words of human wisdom, but in words taught by the Holy Spirit. God's wisdom is spiritually discerned. We have the mind of Christ so He can instruct us!

We are each gifted by the Holy Spirit, according to the Purposes of God for our time such as this. I am artistic in my unique Kingdom giftedness, because of God's purpose set forth and accomplish His Will through all of us, on earth as it is in heaven. Divine Grace is in commission in me and in you, by the Holy Spirit's pursuit of Kingdom Mission that every knee shall bow and every tongue confess Jesus Christ is Lord. Because your Spiritual Gifts are different than mine, doesn't mean I am better or more special, we both share the same common life denominator, The Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit remains the same, He breathes power and strength into all our lives and we remain equally underneath His authority.

We are all God's Seasoned Servants! Variety is God's life spice! He has loved creating us all different, putting His special, unique design on each of us. We all have different finger prints! How AWE-Inspiring is that! We are uniquely and wonderfully made, yet we all are inspired and empowered by the same Holy Spirit. Illuminate God, let the evidence of His gifts in you be for His goodness to be discovered by others in you and through you and His Kingdom revenue through your life be God-Glory!

As God chooses, in His precise and perfect purpose, we are shaped, designed to be His vessels of light.
We shine in multi-colored giftedness, yet we all shine because of the brilliance of God's inspiration, His Holy Spirit in us! We are different and diverse in design, as God chooses with great Kingdom purpose, our part in His Sovereign Will. God Chooses and we are given!

12 For just as the body is a unity and yet has many parts, and all the parts, though many, form [only] one body, so it is with Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).13 For by [means of the personal agency of] one [Holy] Spirit we were all, whether Jews or Greeks, slaves or free, baptized [and by baptism united together] into one body, and all made to drink of one [Holy] Spirit.

We Are The Bride Of Christ, His Church! One In Christ – Many Parts! We all have the common denominator of God's Holy Spirit! God's Holy Spirit is in each of us and that makes us completely the same, yet diversified in Kingdom purpose! We are unified because of the Holy Spirit in us! Omnipresent Reality Check! God is in us, God is for us, God is using us as individuals uniquely gifted by His Holy Spirit, empowered as ONE by His Holy Spirit! AWE-GOD!

We need God! We were created to need God! We are called to God 1^st! AWE-GOD is our spiritual father and we are His family! We need each other! We were designed individually as God's perfect plan to fit together in Sovereign unity, completing His Will! The Holy Spirit mingles in us and creates a divine appointment of destiny as our lives weave together, fitting perfectly into His purposes in play and accomplishing His Kingdom goodness. Without each other, nothing works for God's glory. We were created to fit together, to share in God's mission as ONE in Christ Jesus. We need God! We need each other, it is the divine plan. In our human condition, our individual strengths fit together with our individual weaknesses, we were designed to care adequately for one another. We Are The Bride Of Christ, We Are God's Community On Earth As It Will Be In Heaven. If you hurt, I hurt. If you are honored, I am honored. Your story is my story and my story is your story and God's compassion for us, flows in us and undergirds us as we share it, weave it around our individual life stories, creating a three strand cord that is not easily broken, that is undergirded in the unconditional love of Jesus Christ. There is no greater Triune God, there is no greater Kingdom and there is no greater community than the Body of Christ!

27 Now you [collectively] are Christ's body and [individually] you are members of it, each part severally and distinct [each with his own place and function]. 28 So God has appointed some in the church [for His own use]: first apostles (special messengers); second prophets (inspired preachers and expounders); third teachers; then wonder-workers; then those with ability to heal the sick; helpers; administrators; [speakers in] different (unknown) tongues. 29 Are all apostles (special messengers)? Collectively we are all called to Jesus Christ 1^st! Father God has gifted us individually and we are divinely shaped and uniquely designed to do our part. What I am called to, fits perfectly into what you are called to because we both are called to God 1^st. I am being found in Christ Jesus, so are you, yet we function differently with distinctive Kingdom purpose that all works together to accomplish God's Sovereign Will on earth as it is in heaven. What a glorious plan that our AWE-GOD has set into motion. He designs each piece, He sets it apart, He anoints it by His Holy Spirit and He orchestrates each spiritual sound to bring together a symphony of Kingdom purposes versed in the highest grace of God's Love! Under the direction of His Holy Spirit, The Bride of Christ, The Church sounds heavenly and those who have ears to hear are drawn into God's Presence and Powerful Love and are saved, delivered and healed! Dear Bob and Kim

We've been studying about the Holy Spirit a lot at our church lately. Can other people see the evidence of the gifts of the Holy Spirit in your life? God intends for the gifts of His Spirit to be at work within (and without) His church. In the case of the scripture for today, Saul (ALSO called Paul) exercises two of his many gifts: discernment and boldness. Spiritual gifts are obvious.

"Spiritual gifts are God-granted empowerment for ministry on the part of the believer for the benefit of the Kingdom of God" (unknown author).

God will not send you without equipping you. When God called Bob, Laura, Polly and me to change our lives by planting a new church in Ashe County to serve His people, HE equipped us to do what He called us to do. He also gave us a passion for the people and the church to which He called us. He did all of this through the work of the Holy Spirit for the cause of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit taught us many lessons through people who have come into and out of our lives over the years including how to be a greater witness for the Lord Jesus Christ.

YOU, who are believers, have access to the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead and empowered Paul to speak with boldness. I ask you again; does your life show evidence of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit? If you know Jesus, the indwelling of the Holy Spirit is there. Learn to lean on Jesus and yield to the Holy Spirit. He is the one opening the doors for you to share the gospel, and to walk through the trials and tribulations of life. Pastor Elliott

Mark Chapter 1

The Good News is about Jesus, the Messiah
The Prophet Isaiah had written about sending a messenger to prepare the way.
The messenger was John the Baptist-
John spoke of Jesus as someone who was coming who was greater- so much so that he was not even worthy to untie the straps of his sandals
John said that he baptized with water but Jesus would baptize with the Holy Spirit
John baptized Jesus and the heavens split apart and the Holy Spirit descended on Him like a dove.
A Voice From Heaven said: You are my dearly loved Son, and you bring me great joy
The Holy Spirit prompted Jesus to go into the wilderness, where He was tempted by satan for forty days. Angels took care of Him.
John was later arrested and Jesus went into Galilee – speaking the good news about The Kingdom of God.
Jesus saw Simon and Andrew… brothers and fishermen, He called to them to follow Him and He would teach them how to be fishers of men.
They left everything, their business, their family and went with Jesus.
Jesus taught with authority, and it was really inspiring and different from the teachers of the religious law…. When He spoke demons responded, and a man with a demon began shouting . The demons recognized Who Jesus was, calling Him The Holy One Of God.
Jesus commanded the demon to come out of the man… the people were amazed at Jesus's authority and the new spread quickly.
Jesus healed Peter's mother and then He healed many people, He cast out demons but did not allow them to speak… amazing authority in action.
Jesus went to an isolated place to pray before day break.
When people who were terribly sick came before Jesus, He was moved with compassion.

Sometimes I think the selfishness of this generation has dulled our heart of compassion. Jesus was moved with compassion. Are we?

Psalm 25:20 O keep me, Lord, and deliver me; let me not be ashamed or disappointed, for my trust and my refuge are in You.

Healthy shame reminds us that we are imperfect human beings with weaknesses and limitations. It reminds us that we need God.

Unfortunately, when the healthy shame doesn't stop there, it becomes unhealthy and poisonous. When a person doesn't ask for or receive forgiveness, they can punish themselves and start to hate who they are.

Don't spend your life in this position. Remember your rightful position as an heir and child of God (see Romans 8:17). Unhealthy shame will make you forget who you are in Christ, but healthy shame will remind you that you're nothing without Him. Today, ask God to help you discern the difference.

Drop the right to win. When you come into a potential fiery situation with a have-to-win attitude you cloud your ability to work for the best results. Self-centeredness always gets in the way of healthy conflict. Be humble and agree that you are going to do what is best, even if that means you don't get your way. This doesn't mean you give in to the other party, but the goal in conflict should not be to win personally, but to reach the best solution for everyone. Ron Edmondson

I think holding on to our "rights" really muddies up things and takes away from the clarity of God's Kingdom purpose in the situation. Selflessness is always surrendering "rights" so God's best can come forth out of every situation. I do trip up a lot when it comes to "my rights", wanting to have the last "say so", but heavenly hindsight trumps that in me when I remember I would not have eternal life if Jesus had held on to His rights!

Leaders of Integrity

"But select capable men from all the people—men who fear God, trustworthy men who hate dishonest gain—and appoint them as officials over thousands, hundreds, fifties and tens." Exodus 18:21

Leaders with integrity are a rare breed within a group of citizens, whose utmost concern is, "What is in it for me?" A selfish society does not always select a leader for their integrity, but for their ability to manipulate a quick fix for chronic problems. It is this short sightedness that can set back a generation, because of their leader's greed and corruption.
However, men and women of integrity understand the big picture of principled leadership, and they value fear of God, trustworthiness and honest economics. A leader of integrity looks out over the long term, and discovers what is best for the culture, its citizens, churches and families. There is a resolve to do the right things, with the right people, for the right reasons. Leaders of integrity integrate uprightness with their quiet influence.
"Then the LORD said to Satan, "Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil. And he still maintains his integrity, though you incited me against him to ruin him without any reason." Job 2:3
Therefore, select capable men and women who hold Christ and His commands in high esteem, who you can trust to do and say the right things, implemented in the right way. Leaders of integrity surround themselves with leaders of integrity. There is a high standard in their selection of leaders, because they want to represent the people extremely well. Competence and character are valued over loyal but incompetent friends with suspicious standards of behavior. A leader of integrity delegates to capable leaders.
So, select your leaders in government and church prayerfully, and only after extensive due diligence of their policies, integrity and track record. Blindly betting on one person is a bad process. Instead, select statesmen who will serve the people in the best interests of the country—who surround themselves with the best and the brightest, full of character. Most importantly, choose those who will submit to the accountability of God and man.
The early church experienced a similar selection process of leaders: "Brothers, choose seven men from among you who are known to be full of the Spirit and wisdom. We will turn this responsibility over to them and will give our attention to prayer and the ministry of the word (Acts 6:3-4)".
