AWE- ALMIGHTY GOD!

Make My Life A Constant Conversation With You!

********************************************************************************

I, Kimberly Ann McCarthy, will build my life today on the cornerstone of Who Christ is and walk out of the position of what is so very right with God and not my weak human condition, my human nature or my will. Willessness is a perfect way for me today! Be the Lord of my all and everything today. I pray to know the leading of Your Holy Spirit today, Lord Jesus! Forgive-change my impulsive nature, replace it with respectful-honoring-humble-submissive-willessness!

Study in hosea: loving god hoseah 6:4 – 11:11

Hosea 6:4-11

O Ephraim, what shall I do with you? [says the Lord] O Judah, what shall I do with you? For your [wavering] love and kindness are like the night mist or like the dew that goes early away. 5 Therefore have I hewn down and smitten them by means of the prophets; I have slain them by the words of My mouth; My judgments [pronounced upon them by you prophets] are like the light that goes forth. 6 For I desire and delight in dutiful steadfast love and goodness, not sacrifice, and the knowledge of and acquaintance with God more than burnt offerings.(A) 7 But they, like [less-privileged] men and like Adam, have transgressed the covenant; there have they dealt faithlessly and treacherously with Me. 8 Gilead is a city of evildoers; it is tracked with bloody [footprints]. 9 And as troops of robbers lie in wait for a man, so the company of priests murder on the road toward Shechem; yes, they commit villainy and outrages. 10 I have seen a horrible thing in the house of Israel! There harlotry and idolatry are found in Ephraim; Israel is defiled. 11 Also, O Judah, there is a harvest [of divine judgment] appointed for you; when I would return My people from their captivity [in which they are slaves to the misery brought on by their own sins],

Matthew 9:11-13

But when the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, "Why does your teacher eat with such scum?[a]" 12 When Jesus heard this, he said, "Healthy people don't need a doctor—sick people do." 13 Then he added, "Now go and learn the meaning of this Scripture: 'I want you to show mercy, not offer sacrifices.'[b] For I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners."

Wisdom From Papa Papa's Bible

Hello Precious Family,

I hope you are all well, I think of you often and hope huge in God for you!

This is from PaPa's Bible! In the front of his bible he had underlined it under the section called: Where can you find help when you are lacking direction. So I looked it up in his bible and it was circled, yellowed in a highlighter and each verse circled in red! It caught my eye today so I wanted to share it with all of you that Papa still loves as he looks over heaven cheering us on, yet most importantly the Father God, because you are His child, has all of heaven ready to help you!

Psalm 16:6-8 The Lord himself is my inheritance, my prize. He is my food and drink, my highest joy. He guards all that is mine. He sees that I am given pleasant brooks and meadows as my share. What a wonderful inheritance. I will bless the Lord who counsels me; he gives me wisdom in the night. He tells me what to do. I am always thinking of the lord; and because he is so near, I never need to stumble or fall.

I pray Lord that this family will stand for You. As you guide us, we will always stand for You in complete willessness before the Father God!

I'll Stand Tree63

My Thoughts About These Verses:

  • 8 Gilead is a city of evildoers; it is tracked with bloody [footprints]. Jesus, may it not be so in this country! Heal our land!
  • Self righteousness is truly a trap and it spits in the face of God's mercy. Help us Lord to humble ourselves before you. #prayer
  • God describes the faithfulness of His people like a dew that goes away with the heat of the sun. It does not endure, it comes and goes – it wavers
  • God judged the people for their transitory faithfulness by using the prophets to speak words of
  • Future judgement by God.
  • God wants us to serve Him out of a willing heart- out of a personal relationship, not a dutiful-willful sacrifice that does not show our true heart.
  • God does not want our willful sacrifices, He wants our unconditional love
  • Hosea 6 Unfaithfulness! Harlotry! Idolatry! Murder! Lawelessness… a city of evildoers tracked with bloody footprints…Ouch that is God's description of them and the United States is not so far off from this..
  • My faithfulness to God has been transitory too, it wavers when things don't go the way I thought they would, it is like the dew that evaporates during the heat of the seasons of my life. I don't want to be like this Holy Spirit, I call upon Your power in me to change me. Remove the self-righteousness from me, because that causes me to stumble in faithlessness and bring to me a humble heart, dependent upon my AWE-GOD! I don't want to have transitory faithfulness like God charged in Hosea 6… make me like you Jesus!

QUOTES THAT INSPIRE GROWTH AND CHANGE

We are saved to worship God. All that Christ has done for us in the past and all that he is doing now leads us to that one end.

-- A. W. Tozer

Many of us have prayed that dangerous prayer, "Here I am Lord, change me, I want to do Your perfect Will Lord, no matter what the cost." The Lord looks down from Heaven with a smile on His face because He has such great plans for you. Then "suddenly" you find yourself right in the middle of His wheel. He begins to work with you, pushing here pulling there and pinching over there...It may be a bad temper, pride, a critical spirit, religious spirit, or any number of things. God gets your attention and makes you aware of it. This is no fun!!! God is exposing what needs to be taken care of. We can either stay on the wheel and allow God to continue or we can get in the flesh and eject ourselves from the wheel and run from God.

Jim Clark

*My Prayer-HIS-THOUGHTS: KimberlyMac Shining 4-Him-Always-4Ever!*

Willessness is choosing to stay! I choose to stay on the wheel. God continue the work you are doing in me and finish what you have started in me through this trial. I am grateful for this trial because it has given me an opportunity to see my heart in a way I have not looked in a long while. Thank you Jesus for changing me.

Sins are like circles in the water when a stone is thrown into it; one produces another. When anger was in Cain's heart, murder was not far off.

Philip Henry

*My Prayer-HIS-THOUGHTS: KimberlyMac Shining 4-Him-Always-4Ever!*

That is so true, sin snowballs into a huge out of control thing that started off so tiny…. So very true. Jesus keep us habitually serving you in the all of our everything…. Willess

"O my Lord Jesus Christ, if I could be in heaven without thee, it would be a hell; and if I could be in hell, and have thee still, it would be a heaven to me, for thou art all the heaven I want." It is true, is it not, Christian? Does not thy soul say so? Charles Spurgeon

Worthy News Brief @worthyemail.com

Kimberly, relax!

Matthew 8:26-27 And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!

Whew! What must the disciples have felt back then as they saw the waves crashing against their boat? They we're being swayed from side to side in the deep dark sea. They were afraid for their lives! But our Lord was there all along. He just wanted them to trust.

So often we find ourselves in that same boat, don't we? Lord, are you there?! Don't you see these waves about to consume me?!

But He does! He sees all, hears all, knows all. He is the same Lord that calmed that storm two thousand years ago and He can cause the winds and the seas, and the trials of our lives to become calm in an instant! Ahh, but it's usually in the storms that He will display His awesome power!

Kimberly, let's renew our trust in the Lord today. God has great plans for those who will put their trust in Him.

James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Satan will make a big ruckus, fussing and hissing all he wants but we need to keep our eyes focused on our Lord.

Kimberly, are you being hissed at today? The enemy would love nothing more than to make us feel powerless against him -- but "he ain't got no teeth" next to our Lord! Let's turn to God and put our trust in Him. If God is for us, who can be against us?!

2011 I want to continue to learn to let God lead me "completely" by His Holy Spirit – to not be impulsive and to learn more and more, to give God time to work. I used to stack my priorities up and plan out my complete day and hold very tightly to "my schedule". Needless to say, interruptions frustrated me so much! I had a very type A personality – all Martha. But over the last 10 years God has changed me and now I see myself as a Martha with the heart of a Mary. My balance does not come from my scheduled life; it comes from the Holy Spirit. I am learning to depend on His guidance, completely. He sets my priorities. As Isaiah said, I spent a lot of time walking by the light of a man-made fire. Now as I give my day to the Holy Spirit, I walk by the Light of God's all consuming fire, one I have not kindled, but His Holy Spirit has! The thing I have struggled with the most is letting God have the time to work out His Kingdom purposes in my life-situations. I kept jumping in when I felt God had enough time to work, and trying to "fix it" myself and align my priorities according to my comfort zone. The enemy knew this weakness and played it often, because I kept missing my breakthrough and always ended up in a human mess of tangled priorities, because I did not give God the time to work things out for me. Everything had to be done my way, very concise, exactly how I planned, and in the time frame I set. LOL… God has changed me! Now I deliberately align myself with God in a holy alliance, and this is my 1st priority. I do have specific priorities for my life, but Jesus changes them up at times; as I seek Him, He adds to my priorities with His Kingdom purpose. My priorities are no longer my law, but His Will bringing forth Kingdom purpose in ways I could not even begin to imagine. He is always better at keeping my priorities balanced between my personal activity and my calling and is continually breaking down the walls I put up to constrain me, so I can live taking full advantage of His Omnipresence; my life wholly in Christ without falling into the trap of compartmentalizing! When He is the all in my everything, my #1 priority, I sport the look of "willessness"; it is through this advocacy, everything else lines up perfectly with great Kingdom Purpose! I know one thing for sure… I can't do it without God's Holy Spirit! I need Him to keep my priorities Kingdom focused – I am very dependent on God!

Great Wisdom! Very well written! I just wanted to add this: One thing that can be a stumbling block is when you are tired and there is constant whining…it grates on your nerves. So I used to do this with my kids and now when I watch my grandkids I do it too: I picture a tornado, because the child or teenager is spinning an emotional tornado and if I step into their tornado, I am going to get bumped and bruised up and start spinning around too… but if I let them "Whine" down, take a deep breath, while their tornado is spinning out, which eventually the emotions will spin out… then I can safely with respect and authority say: Are you finished? Okay now lets talk about this… I find if I stand outside the tornado and let it spin out, then I am able to handle the situation with more Godly respect and I have learned that respect goes both ways, when I give it, I usually get it back. So, don't rush into a spinning tornado, it will spin out and the emotions will be easier to handle.

THOUGHT:

I guess for those who find themselves in places they shouldn't be, the abiding presence of God might be a bit terrifying. But I find great comfort in knowing that no matter where I go, from the moment of my conception to the day of my death, God is always there. He is there to guide me and sustain me. Even when I'm in places I am not supposed to be, doing things I am not supposed to do, he is still there. I can turn to him in repentance and receive his grace. I can turn to him in need and receive his strength. I can turn to him and know I am not alone.

PRAYER:

Thank you, Father for loving me and personally knowing me. Thank you for the assurance that I won't have to face a day without you.

Thank you for the comfort of knowing that I will never face my sorrows alone. Thank you for being the strength that sustains me when I don't have the strength to go on. Thank you that when tomorrow dawns, I will be with you no matter what happens during the night. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

STUDY: gOSPEL oF jOHN – MY THOUGHTS

JOHN CHAPTER ONE! Verses 13-17

13Who owe their birth neither to [c]bloods nor to the will of the flesh [that of physical impulse] nor to the will of man [that of a natural father], but to God. [They are born of God!]

14And the Word (Christ) became flesh (human, incarnate) and tabernacled (fixed His tent of flesh, lived awhile) among us; and we [actually] saw His glory (His honor, His majesty), such glory as an only begotten son receives from his father, full of grace (favor, loving-kindness) and truth.(E)

15John testified about Him and cried out, This was He of Whom I said, He Who comes after me has priority over me, for He was before me. [He takes rank above me, for He existed before I did. He has advanced before me, because He is my Chief.]

16For out of His fullness (abundance) we have all received [all had a share and we were all supplied with] one grace after another and spiritual blessing upon spiritual blessing and even favor upon favor and gift [heaped] upon gift.

17For while the Law was given through Moses, grace ([d]unearned, undeserved favor and spiritual blessing) and truth came through Jesus Christ.(F)

Dig Deeper…. Dig Deeper….Dig Deeper….Just Do It!!

Matthew Henry Commentary

Matthew Henry's Concise Commentary on the Bible is available in the Public Domain.

The Son of the Highest was here in this lower world. He was in the world, but not of it. He came to save a lost world, because it was a world of his own making. Yet the world knew him not. When he comes as a Judge, the world shall know him. Many say that they are Christ's own, yet do not receive him, because they will not part with their sins, nor have him to reign over them. All the children of God are born again. This new birth is through the word of God as the means,

1Pe 1:23, and by the Spirit of God as the Author. By his Divine presence Christ always was in the world. But now that the fulness of time was come, he was, after another manner, God manifested in the flesh. But observe the beams of his Divine glory, which darted through this veil of flesh. Men discover their weaknesses to those most familiar with them, but it was not so with Christ; those most intimate with him saw most of his glory. Although he was in

the form of a servant, as to outward circumstances, yet, in respect of graces, his form was like the Son of God His Divine glory appeared in the holiness of his doctrine, and in his miracles. He was full of grace, fully acceptable to his Father, therefore qualified to plead for us; and full of truth, fully aware of the things he was to reveal. (Jn 1:15-18)

My Thoughts About These Verses:

  • I was not born because of the will of man, I was born because of the will of AWE-GOD and it is His will I should serve.
  • Jesus, the Word of God became human and He was full of grace, favor, loving-kindness and truth. May we be like Him #prayer
  • I wonder if my life testifies of God, of the Father God Who is coming!
  • We have been given so much, not just some… but given favor, grace, truth, life in abundance. You can't out give our God! Out of God's fullness we receive!
  • Jesus Christ gave us truth – freedom that replaced the law. Truth was brought to us with God's grace. We do not have to earn God's truth, it is an undeserved gift and a spiritual blessing from the Father God!
  • Who is truth: Jesus! How: He came to bring us truth. Why? Because of the spiritual blessing – undeserved favor poured out from our Father God. Where: He-Jesus came here to this earth in human form, gave up His Kingly rights to save us, to show us the Father God.
  • The love of the Father God is so overwhelming in these verses. Just to know How much the Triune God loves us, the sacrifices made for us even when we were in sin. Law always demanded but never brought freedom, truth gives freedom because Jesus is the truth!

Verse Of The Day@biblegateway.com

Philippians 2:14-16

"Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, "children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation." Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life. And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor in vain." -

Today's passage is from the New International Version, ©2010.

Notes From Listening To Chapter Philippians 2

Encouragement from being united with Christ, comfort from His love… be likeminded having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose… in humility consider others better than yourself… look to the interest of others 1st… attitude like Christ..humbled himself as a servant… did not cling to his rights… obedience even to death… Jesus Christ is Lord… to the glory of the Father… our lives should be to the glory of the Father as God works in us to will and act according to His good purpose… become blameless children of God, shining likes stars… be poured out like a drink offering from the sacrifices of the faith of Jesus… Don't' look out for your own interests but for the interests of the Kingdom of God… Welcome the servants of God with great joy and honor them for loving Christ with the all of their lives

*My Prayer-HIS-THOUGHTS: KimberlyMac Shining 4-Him-Always-4Ever!*

Willessness is obedience unto the death of the personal interest we have in ourself, our wants, our way! When we have a willess spirit, we do not grumble or argue with the Holy Spirit, we submissively obey with a joy that shines the glory of God to others.

I Timothy 6 ~ The Message Bible

6[And it is, indeed, a source of immense profit, for] godliness accompanied with contentment (that contentment which is a sense of inward sufficiency) is great and abundant gain.  7For we brought nothing into the world, and obviously we cannot take anything out of the world;  8But if we have food and clothing, with these we shall be content (satisfied).

9But those who crave to be rich fall into temptation and a snare and into many foolish (useless, godless) and hurtful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction and miserable perishing.    10For the love of money is a root of all evils; it is through this craving that some have been led astray and have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves through with many acute [mental] pangs.

11But as for you, O man of God, flee from all these things; aim at and pursue righteousness (right standing with God and true goodness), godliness (which is the loving fear of God and being Christlike), faith, love, steadfastness (patience), and gentleness of heart.   12Fight the good fight of the faith; lay hold of the eternal life to which you were summoned and [for which] you confessed the good confession [of faith] before many witnesses.

*My Prayer-HIS-THOUGHTS: KimberlyMac Shining 4-Him-Always-4Ever!*

I love that… that contentment is a sense of inwardly sufficiency! Sweet! That is truly where the riches of this life lie! Pursue righteousness- Pursue God's Kingdom purpose – Pursue Godliness… God takes care of the rest! Money is not a gain that is always with you! Godliness-Righteousness are gains that give you a sense of inner sufficiency forever!

"Jehoshaphat made ships of Tharshish to go to Ophir for gold: but they went not; for the ships were broken at Ezion-geber" - 1 Kings 22:48

Solomon's ships had returned in safety, but Jehoshaphat's vessels never reached the land of gold. Providence prospers one, and frustrates the desires of another, in the same business and at the same spot, yet the Great Ruler is as good and wise at one time as another. May we have grace today, in the remembrance of this text, to bless the Lord for ships broken at Ezion-geber, as well as for vessels freighted with temporal blessings; let us not envy the more successful, nor murmur at our losses as though we were singularly and specially tried. Like Jehoshaphat, we may be precious in the Lord's sight, although our schemes end in disappointment.

Twitter, Blogging, Facebook are amazing because of the Power of God and how StickyJesus so perfectly puts it… Genuine Truth Is Sticky. I will be praying for God to hold Joanne in His Healing Hands!

Here is a little blogging life experience from someone who has been journaling most of my life!

I wrote what I call a "life creed"! Specific things God has taught me, personalized in a prayer. I have written it for over 10 years. What I write starts with a bowed heart-will and a listening ear. To get to this place I have to clear my spirit of everything I hold on to, all my hopes, dreams, expectations and put them in God's hands. (Psalm 62 is good at that) I find that the 1st thing to prepare myself for blogging is clarity of spirit (Undivided Heart Psalm 86:11 pray for it) and the cool thing is, journaling actually does that for you, brings clarity of God's truth. So blogging to be me begins with clarity and ends in clarity! Starting in clarity makes everything you put in writing, bring a deeper clarity for your soul and a genuine read for the reader; dusting the heart of the reader with what I affectionately like to call God's glory dust that puts a shimmer on their soul-shine! Blogging begins in your own personal journal where you share thoughts with God from the all of your everything. Journaling is simply-significantly the foundation of blogging. So talk it up with God and in doing so, you will make one amazing blogger! God Bless You Much!

2 Corinthians 5:19-20

"that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God." -

Today's passage is from the New International Version, ©2010.

Notes From Listening To 2 Corinthians 5

We have a building from God, an eternal house not built by human hands… we groan longing to be clothed in heavenly dwelling, so what is mortal will be swallowed up by life. God has made us for this very purpose with a deposit of His Holy Spirit for what is to come… we live by faith, not by sight, so we make it our goal to please God…we will all appear before the judgment seat of Christ… we know what it is to fear the lord, persuade men to respect, honor love God… Take pride in what is in the heart, not what is seen. Christ's love compels us, because One died for all to no longer live for themselves but to live for our Redeemer. We don't regard people from a worldly point of view. God reconciled ourselves to God through Christ. Not counting men's sins against them=reconciliation…we are Christ's ambassadors as God is making His appeal through our lives… God made him who had no sin be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.

*My Prayer-HIS-THOUGHTS: KimberlyMac Shining 4-Him-Always-4Ever!*

This chapter touches my heart so much that I need to listen to it again. God has given us such a great future and hope, it is so hard to wait for it when things here are so tough. But whether I am here or no matter what I am growing through I must be a person who seeks to please God in the all of my everything. Don't take pride in what is seen, but take pride in what is in the heart. Wow… this is such a huge Kingdom principle, one that is kind of flip-flopped in our generation and culture. All is from our Father God, who reconciled us to Himself through His only son's death. It is so hard to fathom such a love, such a desire and we must call others to be reconciled to God by our life, by being the righteousness of God through Christ Jesus in us. Christ's love must compel us today. So be it! Help us to be Christ's ambassadors, making a Godly appeal for Him through our lives!

STUDY: gOSPEL oF jOHN – MY THOUGHTS

JOHN CHAPTER ONE! Verses 10-11

10He came into the world, and though the world was made through Him, the world did not recognize Him [did not know Him].    11He came to that which belonged to Him [to His own--His domain, creation, things, world], and they who were His own did not receive Him and did not welcome Him.

2But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the authority (power, privilege, right) to become the children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name--(D)

My Thoughts About These Verses:

God created our world and when He came, we were so caught up in our world, we did not even recognize Him. I wonder today if that would be so. Who: Jesus came to our world! Who: God's Son! Why: God wanted us to receive Him, to recognize and acknowledge Who He is! How? He came to His own, He, the creator came to us, the created… He reached out in a way that was so amazing, so miraculous. Why? Because He loves me! If He loves me that much, then I can trust Him now, right now, because He has not changed, His infinite love has not been withdrawn. What? I should trust Him completely, I should rely only on Him and I should adhere to Him and Him alone. He came and because people were so steeped in their own culture, they did not know Him. I think of us today of our political cultures and parties and I wonder if we can see past the culture of our political parties to even see Jesus, to even hear Him or know what He is doing in our world? If someone does something wrong and they are from our political party, we can't see past the party to even see the error. Like something so obviously glaring like college students being so disrespectful, horribly disrespectful of the families who had lost so much, and turning a memorial service into a rally, yet those of that party not willing to admit it, even though it was so very obviously wrong. People in this country can't see past their party lines to even see the Truth of the AWE-GOD! It really does remind me of when Jesus came to reach out to this world with His truth and love and they did not even receive Him, welcome Him or know Him because they could not see past their culture. Of Father God, forgive us, Help us to know the true creator, to love You and to respectfully submit to Your power. Jesus gave up His kingly rights and came to this earth that we might live, yet we can't give up our party affiliations to see or speak genuine truth. Father, You reached out to us, and your Son Jesus died for us that we might have access as Your children to Kingdom power, privilege and right and we lay that kind of majesty down for temporary political affiliation! Father God, cause us to come back to You, to fully face our God!

--\/------------------------------------------------------------------

VERSE:

Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves.

-- Romans 12:10

http://www.SearchGodsWord.org/desk/?query=Romans+12:10

THOUGHT:

We are to be devoted to one another. We are to honor one another. And the basis of this loving devotion and honor is found in one central truth: Because God is our Father, we are one family.

We are siblings in God's Kingdom. Our relationship is eternal and built on God's grace to us and our grace expressed to each other. |-- Phil Ware

My Thoughts About This Verse:

I love what Phil said about being siblings in God's Kingdom! Honor and respect is something that is a lost art in our country right now. This verse really speaks to the truth that we need to develop brother love, we need to honor each other more than we honor our wants and desires… hmmmmmm

Hosea 5:8-15 Blow the horn in Gibeah and the trumpet in Ramah [both lofty hills on Benjamin's northern border]. Sound the alarm at Beth-aven: [the enemy is] behind you and after you, O Benjamin [be on your guard]!9 Ephraim shall become a desolation in the day of rebuke and punishment. Among the tribes of Israel I declare what shall surely be. 10 The princes of Judah are like those who remove the landmark [the barrier between right and wrong]; I will pour out My wrath upon them like water.(A) 11 Ephraim is oppressed; he is broken and crushed by [divine] judgment, because he was content to walk after idols (images) and man's [evil] command [a](vanities and filth).

Yet he cannot heal you nor will he cure you of your wound [received in divine judgment]. 14 For I will be to Ephraim like a lion, and like a young lion to the house of Judah. I, even I, will rend and go on [rending]; I will carry off and there will be no one to deliver. 15 I will return to My place [on high] until they acknowledge their offense and feel their guilt and seek My face; in their affliction and distress they will seek, inquire for, and require Me earnestly, saying,

My Thoughts About These Verses

Wow… removing the landmark- the barrier between right and wrong. That hits home with my heart, so true about us and about this country. We know what is right and wrong, yet we remove the barrier through rationalization. The barriers are removed because of personal gain. Right is no longer right and truth is no longer practiced in its fullness. I wonder if the barrier between right and wrong could be made up of respect, because the respect in this country, the reverence and AWE- for God is completely whacked by affiliation and desire of temporary gain!

God says in VS 15 that He will not help us until we acknowledge our offense and fell our guilt and seek His Face. Fully face our God! Not just take a knee in convenience but bow before Him, knees to the ground! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-AQL8Zk2sOk&feature=related

God is willing to forgive and redeem us once again… He did not say never again, He said until! God wants us to turn to Him for comfort, not man, not the President, not Kings, not anyone but Him. I loved what this verse said about no one being able to heal you from a divine judgement. Oh The Power of AWE-GOD!

Notes From Joyce Meyer TV program

January 9th Confidence

  • Your attitude belongs to you! Whatever attitude you have, you have chosen. It is not people who have the best of everything that have the best attitudes but those who make the best of everything. You can either be fearful, insecure totally focused on your weaknesses or confident. You must choose confidence… are you tired of being focused on your weaknesses? A confident attitude!
  • Make a choice to live by your feelings or the Word of God, listen to lies by satan or the truth of the Word of God. Feelings are important, you don't want to deny, ignore or not understand them. If you will decide what you are going to "be" in Christ, your feelings will catch up with your being. God told Jeremiah to stop looking at the peoples faces… we look too much for the approval of people. When you feel yourself sinking into your cirucmtances fast, you must make a decision for truth. You never get to the success side of anything without growing through hard times. You don't have the luxury of giving up as a Christian, you must press on and press in. Stop thinking about how you are feeling: afraid, insecure, anxious… Know Who you are in Christ! Hold your head up!
  • People Who play it safe all the time: The Confident Woman by Joyce meyer… You don't realize the fulfillment of your dreams when you play it safe… look at it like what if you do something exciting, what if you are a success. Don't be so afraid of failing, you never step out of doing something
  • Phil 3:3 Where does Godly confidence come from? No confidence or dependence on what we are in the flesh, or outward… appearance…
  • Your confidence has to come from Christ and Christ alone. Satan can move and shake other things but can never get inside of us in our hearts if we know Who we are in Christ… I am ready for anything through Christ… I am ready for anything, I am equal for anything through Christ… God is the great equalizer… no matter what you don't have, if you have Jesus, you are equal to any task through Christ.
  • When God anoints someone or something, it makes all the difference in the world. It is amazing what happens!
  • Jesus said: I am qualified because God has anointed me to preach the gospel…
  • When the Holy Spirit puts His hand on you, you are ready to do God's will…
  • When you are in the lowest pit, God has His eye on you and HE will reach down and pull you out
  • God is our qualification in all things! We have everything we need in Christ!
  • Where does true confidence come from? Not worldy confidence… but lasting confidence… if your bank account makes you feel confident, what will you do when it is all gone?
  • True Confidence comes from Knowing God! You can't despise the trials that come in yoru life because it is in those times we see what God can do in us.
  • Pray for revelation. Our eyes need to be open to what we have in Christ through our salvation. You can't buy God's love, He already loves you.
  • Your pain can become your gain and your mess can become your ministry.
  • We are not built for rejection, we are built for acceptance. We want to feel valuable because God has put that in us. There is no where you can ever go where God is not! Everywhere you go, God is with you. People believe more of what they hear their own voice say than any other voice in the world, that is why it is so important to confess the Word of God.
  • Confess the Word! Say it over and over again! God Loves Me! God Has A Unique One Of A Kind Plan For Me!
  • John called Himself: The Apostle Who Jesus Loved! John was the only disciple that stuck it out to the end because He knew God loved him, he talked about it and it gave him the strength not to run away when it got tough. WE should know the love of God so much that nothing can steal it from us. Don't say when you are in a trial: Does God not love me? God has a special, one of a kind unique plan for us and our day is coming! God has a plan for us! Prov 14:30 jealousy and envy rots the bones
  • If you feel envy or jealousy, fight it, talk outloud blessings for the other person and talk outloud: God I know you love me, I know you have a great plan for me.
  • James 4:1-3 What leads to strife? How do conflicts rise above you? Your are jealous and covet what others have. We can't look at what God is doing with others and compare that to yourself…. God has a unique one of a kind, awesome, amazing plan for each of us. Learn how to be happy about what God is doing in others life, before God will do something in your life. So many things in life are a test and after we have passed the test, our reward will come. It is very important to maintain a confident attitude in Christ. Confidence should be grounded in God, God is the one Who makes us able to do anything… this gives us confidence as we remember where the ability came from.

In the most lopsided deal of all time, Jesus took our filthy rags of sin and gave us His robe of righteousness. Our righteousness is not our own, it is from Him. Dare we brag of our goodness now?

-- Paul C. Brownlow

STUDY: gOSPEL oF jOHN – MY THOUGHTS

John 1: 6-9 There came a man sent from God, whose name was John.(B)    7 This man came to witness, that he might testify of the Light, that all men might believe in it [adhere to it, trust it, and rely upon it] through him. 8 He was not the Light himself, but came that he might bear witness regarding the Light. 9 There it was--the true Light [was then] coming into the world [the genuine, perfect, steadfast Light] that illumines every person.(C)

Amplified Bible (AMP) Copyright © 1954, 1958, 1962, 1964, 1965, 1987 by The Lockman Foundation

My Thoughts About These Verses:

  • Who? The Light… Jesus! John was sent to be a light, so WHAT does a light do, it gets rid of darkness. Do I do this with my life? Does God in me shine in the darkness of other peoples lives to testify of Jesus, the true Light of this world?
  • Where? He was sent to this earth from God. So have I been sent by God here to this place in NC. Lord, I do believe that you position us right where you want us, for Your purpose. My life has meaning and purpose even to the point of where I live. You, Lord are purposeful
  • Why? To bear witness of the Light, of Jesus. Today, Lord I have that opportunity, help me to make the right choices in my situation to be a witness of Your life in me, to be a light to those who have darkness in their lives. Jesus!
  • How? Regarding The Light! How did John bear witness, it was not about himself, but it was about Jesus
  • Who? The True Light- Jesus! How? Coming into the World. Why? To illumine every person? How? With perfect-steadfast light!
  • I have a lot of places in my life where the enemy is trying to put darkness, darkness like discouragement, dismay, disappointment… but this verse tells me that Jesus is constantly-consistently my perfect-steadfast light. A light that can dispel any darkness, a light that is never subject to darkness. If I cling to Jesus today, if I hope in Him, then I am receiving His genuine truth, that stands through this test with a light in me that illumines my situation and every person I meet today.

My Thoughts About These Verses:

These verses really give me hope today because I realize whatever situation I am in right now, God has purposefully put me there, just like John above, God sends us to be a light. I can't be the true-steadfast light, that is Jesus, but I can be found as a reflection of God's light. Help me today Lord Jesus be an light of encouragement-hope-faith to others, just where you have placed me. AMEN! Jesus as I make choices today to shine Your Light out of me, I pray that all I come in contact with will adhere to it, trust it, and rely upon Jesus Christ

http://www.michellesarabia.org/my-struggle-with-blogging/

Oh How uncomfortable life can be at times! LOL! I don't mean to make light of your obvious discomfort… but I laugh not at you, but at me! We are opposites! I love writing! I have the gift of exhortation and God's Words just flow from me right out to the page. But… get me up in front of someone to speak… Oh My Gosh… blah-blah-blah… stumble, stumble… blah- blah! LOL! I can't put the words together, the same way you can't in writing. When God asks me to speak, I cringe on the inside…. I don't want to… but I will do it with fear and trembling…LOL… trembling literally!! The enemy as Joyce Meyer likes to say: sets us up to be upset. God is the opposite; He sets us up to grow through from our weakness to His strength. I truly do believe that when I teach, He gets the glory because it is out of a huge weakness that I do it. But, I have also learned when He asks me to speak, that His Kingdom purpose far outweighs my reluctance. What I have seen in the scripture really shows me that God has the Sovereign right to position us exactly where He needs His Kingdom purpose to be activated in us and others. It is no coincidence where God has placed you to live, the circumstances you are in and what He has asked you to do today. Every God-Incidence has to begin with God – flow by His Holy Spirit to end in Kingdom purpose=successfully bringing glory to God. Our stumbling block is that we are looking at our culture, at other people and comparing our place – our position – our giftedness and thinking we have to rise to these standards in order to be successful. I find, in order to "feel" successful at things I am not naturally "good" at, I have to cling harder to God, set my roots deeper in His Kingdom purpose and lose myself to gain His Kingdom purpose, perspective and power! When I get up to speak, it is all supernatural, nothing of me, or my strength and each and every time, my knees still tremble, my tongue feels like it won't talk and I feel sick to my stomach… yet I will because I know He can! I do believe God gifts us with specific gifts… which is so sweet… but I also believe that He stretches our tent pegs with the gifts He has not given us, yet asks us to walk in at times. I believe my gift of exhortation-writing is just as supernatural as my teaching, one I have been gifted with, the other one the Lord gives me as a gift of sorts, one that trumps my fleshly pride and maybe this is the best gift of the two! So precious one, keep writing your blog submissively-reverently unto God because it trumps your flesh with the miracles of God's provision! God Bless You Much!

Matthew 12:15-21 (NRSV)

The words of Isaiah applied to Jesus

When Jesus became aware of this, he departed. Many crowds followed him, and he cured all of them, and he ordered them not to make him known. This was to fulfill what had been spoken through the prophet Isaiah:

"Here is my servant, whom I have chosen,

my beloved, with whom my soul is well pleased.

I will put my Spirit upon him,

and he will proclaim justice to the Gentiles.

He will not wrangle or cry aloud,

nor will anyone hear his voice in the streets.

He will not break a bruised reed

or quench a smoldering wick

until he brings justice to victory.

And in his name the Gentiles will hope."

My Thoughts About These Verses:

What an amazing promise to us in times such as these: He will not break a bruised reed or quench a smoldering wick until he brings justice to victory. God is a God of justice and of victory and in bringing Justice To Victory, we have been given Jesus! In between Justice and Victory we cling to Jesus, dig our roots deeply in His love, hope and promise. AWE-GOD! Thanks for this devotion today, it encouraged my heart! God Bless You Much!

They Wouldn't Recognize God If They Saw Him 1-2 "Listen to this, priests! Attention, people of Israel!

Royal family—all ears! You're in charge of justice around here. But what have you done? Exploited people at Mizpah, ripped them off on Tabor, Victimized them at Shittim. I'm going to punish the lot of you. 3-4"I know you, Ephraim, inside and out. Yes, Israel, I see right through you! Ephraim, you've played your sex-and-religion games long enough. All Israel is thoroughly polluted. They couldn't turn to God if they wanted to. Their evil life is a bad habit. Every breath they take is a whore's breath. They wouldn't recognize God if they saw me. 5-7"Bloated by arrogance, big as a house, they're a public disgrace, The lot of them—Israel, Ephraim, Judah— lurching and weaving down their guilty streets. When they decide to get their lives together and go off looking for God once again, They'll find it's too late. I, God, will be long gone. They've played fast and loose with me for too long, filling the country with their bastard offspring. A plague of locusts will devastate their violated land.

My Thoughts About These Verses:

Sinning can pile up, just like spending money by credit spends fast until you suddenly have a debt piled up you can't pay! Irresponsible Grace spends quickly and piles up a debt of habitual sin whose dividend is a dead end. This country is beset in habitual sin and quickly expending the grace of God. Lord turn us back to You, break the strongholds upon this nation and begin with me. Jesus!

Religion or Relationship. Something can look pretty on the outside but be broken on the inside, we can't tell by looking, but God can. You can whitewash your outside but be very dimly lit on the inside. I am guilty. I was telling everyone to trust God, yet I am spending money that I don't have on credit. The United States does the same. It says In God We Trust on the outside, but on the inside of this country there is an independence from God brewing in lawlessness, dishonor and disrespect for God and others. Religiosity crumbles from the outside – to inward. Relationship with God strengthens from the inside to the outside.

"So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus." -

Today's passage is from the New International Version, ©2010.

Notes From Galatians 3

Foolishness… Who has bewitched you? Before your very eyes you saw Jesus crucified.. Don't be foolish Jesus was clearly betrayed as crucified and rose as redeemer, did you receive the spirit by believing what you heard.. don't try to attain your goal by human effort… God has given you His spirit because you believed in Jesus! Abraham believed God, it was accredited to Him as righteousness. All nations are blessed through God. No one is justified before God by the Law, the righteousness live by faith. Jesus because the curse of the law for us, redeemed us… from the law, by faith we receive the promise of the Holy Spirit! So those who have faith are blessed…don't rely upon the law, rely upon Jesus… the righteous live by faith… the law is not based on faith… Jesus redeemed us from the law… He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham would come to us, the promise of the spirit by faith… What is promised is given to those who believe in Jesus Christ… the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ, we are not under the supervision of the law, but under Jesus Christ… clothe yourself with Christ, we are all one in Christ Jesus. If we belong to Christ, we are Abrahams seed and heirs according to the promise.

Proverbs 16:9 The mind of a man plans his way: but the LORD directs his steps.

I was thinking about the fact that we are very quick to blame the devil with these kinds of circumstances. But not only does the Bible say that ALL things work together for good for those who love God and are called according to His purposes, Kimberly, take every opportunity, every strange circumstance, every change in plans as an opportunity to trust God and share His love and all that He's given us. Looking back I can see that perhaps God may have just have been planning this thing all along!

Heavenly Hindsight is captured when you take every change in your plans as an opportunity to trust God and share everything He has given you.

Amos 8:11
11 Hear this! The days are coming— [this is] the declaration of the Lord God— when I will send a famine through the land: not a famine of bread or a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord.

Tragedy came because of my lack of commitment to serve God with all my heart and strength. Then, at the bottom and on my back, the Lord got my attention and broke me down. Is there a famine in your land? Are you hungry? What purpose does the Bible serve in your life? Do you keep it close?  The greatest compliment one can receive is to be called a follower of God's word.

*My Prayer-HIS-THOUGHTS: KimberlyMac Shining 4-Him-Always-4Ever!*

I pray it would be so, a follower, a doer and a daily dieter of God's Word. Make it so in us Lord Jesus!

Military Families Perusing Psalm Twelve

Military Families Perusing
Psalm Twelve

Perusing For: Purpose-Truth

As a person in a military family/friend what truth, what purpose of God do I see in this Psalm for me and my military warrior?

  • I Like Verse 6! I See God's Purpose All OverIt!
The words of the Lord are perfect. They are like silver made pure in a clay furnace. They are like silver made pure seven times over.
  • This verse really shows the purpose of God's Truth! Always! Always Your Word is with us and has been since the world was spoke into being by AWE-GOD Constant-Consistent -- Omnipresent-Omnipotence!
  • God, Your Word is always powerfully perfect for every situation of military families as we struggle to grow through our deployments in times of war and in times of peace.
  • Jesus, Your Word is the perfect common denominator for our purpose, hope and peace. It is full of Kingdom Purpose in a constant-consistency that gives us hope and courage!

Perusing For-Promise

What is God promising my military family/friend in this Psalm? What promise can I hold on to this week as my promise for them?

  • Verse 5 And 7 Are Powerful Promises That Will Always Comfort Us!
5 The Lord says, "The weak are beaten down. Those who are in need groan. So I will stand up to help them. 7 Lord, you will keep us safe. You will always keep sinners from hurting us.
  • When I first read verse five, it just really touched my heart that God would stand up to help me and then I read verse seven and the promise was sealed with an always! How sweet is that?!!
  • As I read these promises, I realize the hope of this truth that is quieting my fears with God's peace: Always You, Almighty God are present to protect, keep, guide and defend my warrior in body-spirit and soul! Always you will be with our families in spirit and truth as we grow through our deployments.
  • The promise the Holy Spirit speaks to my heart right now is: God will always keep our families united, being the common denominator of our all and everything by His Spirit-Hope-Peace as we spend deployment time separated by continents with concern for our warriors as they battle with those who terrorize the freedom and lives of all men.
  • In response to the promise of these two verses all I can say from my heart to God's is this: Father God, Your Omnipresent Justice and Omnipotence always targets with Kingdom purpose and huge hope, giving our military inner peace-strength with promise as they continue to defend our freedoms for our country and make liberty ring louder and better for people in other countries!

Perusing For-Praise

What does God show me in this psalm about praising Him?

  • I Chose Verses 2-3 Because True Praise Is All About The "Always Of Our God"!
Everyone tells lies to his neighbors. With his lips he praises others, but he doesn't really mean it. 3 May the Lord cut off all lips that don't mean what they say. May he cut out every tongue that brags.
  • I realize when reading this verse there is false and true praise! I guess it depends upon the motive of our hearts and whether our praise is horizontal or vertical! Hmmmmmm! I can really see through this verse that when we become too focused on ourselves, on our own independence- we become braggarts. When we brag- we do not praise God, we praise ourselves. I wonder if when we brag about our God, if our feet are not centered in the gospel of His love and hope and our walk is not pointing people to Christ... I wonder if our praise is false! Hmmmmm! Interesting verse! That is why I picked it! Food for thought... LOL!
  • False praise is something our military encounters a lot with the Taliban because their praise is centered only in self and not based on true reality. They brag to pump each other up and their praise has nothing of the Truth and Presence of our Almighty God in it. I am thinking that false praise that comes from braggarts is really dead praise, it goes nowhere except to the graveyard of words that don't make the eternal distance. False Praise=Dust! True Praise=Always All About-Unto Our God!
  • Our warriors need the strength that praising God brings to them, so I hope huge for "True Praise" to rise up in their camps; praise unto God that will bring forth a purity of strength in their hearts and carry them forth in courage and tenacity through their days. True Praise Unto God Enables Warriors To Know The Might Of Their Savior!
  • Lord, thank you for showing me the difference between bragging and praising because I realize it is a matter of the heart and where it is attached too. The issues of our lives do arise out of our heart of worship and what we care about most and that is why we need to cling to God, dig our roots deeper in His love and devour His Word! Warriors Always Praise Unto And For God! AWE-GOD!

Perusing For-Prayer

What verse can I use as a prayer for my military family/friend this week?

  • I Like Verses 1-3 Because They Show And Tell The Real Human Condition!
Help, Lord! Those who do what is right are gone. Those who are faithful have disappeared from the earth. 2 Everyone tells lies to his neighbors. With his lips he praises others, but he doesn't really mean it. 3 May the Lord cut off all lips that don't mean what they say. May he cut out every tongue that brags.
  • Oh! We All Have "The Human Condition" Of Fleshing Out The Evil In Our Hearts! Our hearts are wicked at times and we do need to diligently guard our hearts through prayer and the word of God. We just need to do it! I know I do! As we face the stress of being a Military Family, we need to guard our hearts! I don't want to be one of "those" who don't do what is right, to be lumped in the category of "gone"! Lord help us to say what we mean and mean what we say and to not only wear Your Name but to be Your Character-Purity-Righteousness as we grow through our lives in military families! Always! Constantly-Consistently Always Being Yours And Acting Like It!
  • Sometimes I feel like I am going to throw up when I see the news reports of the vileness of war! When I get thoroughly disgusted and horrified by the hideous acts of our enemy, and fear, worry and anxiety start to rise in me, I always turn to God and cry out for help and He is always there to listen, comfort and balance out my weak flesh with His strength. PS! And as I listen to the fictitious threats of the Taliban against our military, I like these verses -- a lot! Can you see my smile? LOL!
  • Reading these verses, I realize life is all about the "Who" you serve with your heart passion! The taliban do not know any law higher than themselves – but that does not make the Omnipresent-Omnipotence of our God any less! The taliban have absolutely no value for human life and that is why we know we need to pray for God's help to understand and withstand them! They are a vicious enemy that is always plotting some coward act of evil behind your back! But God – He is the consistent-constant in this war and in the life of our warriors! Jesus is consistently and constantly interceding and intervening for our troops. He is an always-faithful advocate in the land of terror where there is nothing right as lawlessness is soaked in human dysfunction by the principalities and powers of evil.
  • Sometimes when I hear the taliban brag on news reports how they are going to kill all Americans, I can't help but feel so helpless! I pray and cry for God's help for my warrior, and instantly the comfort of God's truth comes, the truth that we can always trust our God to be the consistent-constant aid and to make all things right. Therefore Pray! Ask God For Help! He Is Always There For Us, As A Formidable Advocate! He Can Handle Anything! Let God Be Enough! Because He Truly Is! He Is Always, Always, Always For Us And Bringing About The Kingdom Best In Us And Through Us! AWE-GOD!

Perusing To-BE His! Just Do it

As a part or head of a military family, which verse helps me to be better, to act better, to trust God the best this week?

  • I Like Verse Five! I See In It That Whatever We Are Growing Through, Jesus Is Simply-Significantly Our Enough!
Now will I arise, says the Lord, because the poor are oppressed, because of the groans of the needy; I will set him in safety and in the salvation for which he pants.
  • Praying and laying out all our fears, worries, hopes and dreams before our God, we realize quickly that He always brings us to a constant position of security in His Grace and a place of safety-salvation by His consistent omnipotence. We need to place our military families in His capable hands and Let God Be Enough!
  • I read this verse and I realize this: I Must Be Found In Belief! How do we do that when we face so many emotions and fears each day our Military Warrior is at war and daily their lives are in danger? Military Families, we must settle it! We must settle the truth that our God is simply-significantly enough for us and He is always present in power for us! Belief must become more than a definition of our Christianity; it must become what defines us in the all of our everything.
  • I am realizing as a military family member, we must continually reposition ourselves to be found in Jesus, He is always a consistent-constant in a world that changes every day and in Him we have a great future and a hope that is unchangeable because He lives! AWE-GOD! Believe In Him! Just Be Found In Belief
