AWE- ALMIGHTY GOD!

Make My Life Excellent In You-Constant In Your Courage

Hebrews 1:3 Jesus Is…

He is the sole expression of the glory of God [the Light-being, the [c]out-raying or radiance of the divine], and He is the perfect imprint and very image of [God's] nature, upholding and maintaining and guiding and propelling the universe by His mighty word of power.

A sustainable lifestyle happens in community with other followers of Jesus. Faith comes alive when it is exercised in the presence of other people who love the Lord. You feel support, love, compassion, prayers and wisdom from the Body of Christ. The Lord is your help and His people are His helpers. A sustainable lifestyle comes from Christ. McCARTHY FAMILY PRAYER

Ephesians 3: 14-21 Draw Us (BOB, KIM, BRAD, BONNIE, KIELE, RYANNE, CHRIS, SUMMER, NOAH, KENNETH, TINA) To You That We Might Walk With You This Day And Forever!

It was so good to be together over Labor Day! I had a really good time with you all, I hope you did too! Today, the Lord is showing me that as a family, we can have a faith that sustains us personally and sustains us together as a family! I pray for that! I hope for that for us. If we strive to stay connected to Jesus heart-to-heart and connected to each other, getting our encouragement from our relationship with Jesus and then sharing it with each other, then our family will be strong in the love and truth of God. I love the above scripture because I totally realize it is God that is upholding us maintaining our provision and guiding us by His Power and His Mighty Strength! God's Got This!

I pray that we (BOB, KIM, BRAD, BONNIE, KIELE, RYANNE, CHRIS, SUMMER, NOAH, Baby M, KENNETH, TINA, Baby D) will be blessed by God this week as He upholds our families in His sustainable provision. I pray we (BOB, KIM, BRAD, BONNIE, KIELE, RYANNE, CHRIS, SUMMER, NOAH, Baby M, KENNETH, TINA, Baby D) will be a family that pursues You 1st and our faith will spur a trust action that lets You, Lord God work, giving You the time you need to design and create the perfect us in our families, the perfect situations in our lives. Jesus!

Excerpts-Thoughts From The Bridegroom's Voice

******Day ONE… #1 Of Week Three…. Day One……#3 Week******

Monday, Sept 12, 2011 My Thoughts: From The Bridegroom's Voice Week 3

1 Corinthians 1: 17-31

For Christ (the Messiah) sent me out not to baptize but [to evangelize by] preaching the glad tidings (the Gospel), and that not with verbal eloquence, lest the cross of Christ should be deprived of force and emptied of its power and rendered vain (fruitless, void of value, and of no effect). 18 For the story and message of the cross is sheer absurdity and folly to those who are perishing and on their way to perdition, but to us who are being saved it is the [manifestation of] the power of God. 19 For it is written, I will baffle and render useless and destroy the learning of the learned and the philosophy of the philosophers and the cleverness of the clever and the discernment of the discerning; I will frustrate and nullify [them] and bring [them] to nothing. 20 Where is the wise man (the philosopher)? Where is the scribe (the scholar)? Where is the investigator (the logician, the debater) of this present time and age? Has not God shown up the nonsense and the folly of this world's wisdom? 21 For when the world with all its earthly wisdom failed to perceive and recognize and know God by means of its own philosophy, God in His wisdom was pleased through the foolishness of preaching [salvation, procured by Christ and to be had through Him], to save those who believed (who clung to and trusted in and relied on Him). 22 For while Jews [demandingly] ask for signs and miracles and Greeks pursue philosophy and wisdom, 23 We preach Christ (the Messiah) crucified, [preaching which] to the Jews is a scandal and an offensive stumbling block [that springs a snare or trap], and to the Gentiles it is absurd and utterly unphilosophical nonsense. 24 But to those who are called, whether Jew or Greek (Gentile), Christ [is] the Power of God and the Wisdom of God. 2 5[This is] because the foolish thing [that has its source in] God is wiser than men, and the weak thing [that springs] from God is stronger than men. 26 For [simply] consider your own call, brethren; not many [of you were considered to be] wise according to human estimates and standards, not many influential and powerful, not many of high and noble birth. 27 [No] for God selected (deliberately chose) what in the world is foolish to put the wise to shame, and what the world calls weak to put the strong to shame. 28 And God also selected (deliberately chose) what in the world is lowborn and insignificant and branded and treated with contempt, even the things that are nothing, that He might depose and bring to nothing the things that are, 29 So that no mortal man should [have pretense for glorying and] boast in the presence of God. 30 But it is from Him that you have your life in Christ Jesus, Whom God made our Wisdom from God, [revealed to us a knowledge of the divine plan of salvation previously hidden, manifesting itself as] our Righteousness [thus making us upright and putting us in right standing with God], and our Consecration [making us pure and holy], and our Redemption [providing our ransom from eternal penalty for sin]. 31 So then, as it is written, Let him who boasts and proudly rejoices and glories, boast and proudly rejoice and glory in the Lord.

My Thoughts About This Verse:

Verse Of The Day@biblegateway.com

"[Final Exhortations] Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!" Philippians 4:4 NIV

Notes from listening to Philippians Chapter 4:

You Whom I love and long for, my joy and crown! Agree with each other in the Lord. Help each other who contend at God's side. Rejoice always! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Don't be anxious- pray about everything with Thanksgiving. God's peace will guard my heart, my mind. Whatever is true, right, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, think on these things. Whatever you have learn from God, put it into practice. God of peace will be with us as we live right. Rejoice in the Lord when others encourage you with concern. Learn to be content with whatever God puts in your life. Learn the secret of being content in everything it is Jesus, Jesus who gives you strength in the all of your everything. Send others aid when they are in need, do what you can to encourage them. Be a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice pleasing unto God. To God be glory forever. Greet all the saints in Christ Jesus with : The Grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with Your Spirit.

Pastor Elliott

Romans 8:16-17

16 The Spirit Himself testifies together with our spirit that we are God's children, 17 and if children, also heirs— heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ - seeing that we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him.

Dear Bob and Kim,

It amazed me in a new way this morning when I opened my Bible to this passage. It amazed me to realize that, as believers in God's Son, we are to be heirs of God and co-heirs with Jesus Christ our LORD. This is an honor greater than any man could possibly bestow upon us. Co-heirs will share with Him in the glory and abundance of heaven. But it also means we will share in His earthly suffering. We will know shame, disappointment and many of the discouragements of this life. The hurt of betrayal will be normal for those that love God. The enemy hates you for your relationship with Jesus. It is his job to steal, kill and destroy. AND you are the target of his vengeance.

Satan's fate is sealed. Messiah conquered him when He came forth from the grave. Your reward is still before you. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. You have been redeemed from the debt of sin and the law. Your eternity is sealed with Jesus. Let all heaven and earth know today that you, Bob and Kim are an heir of God with all the benefits and strength of that relationship to get you through this life and into the next.

Don't forget this. Because our goal, our purpose for living, is to glorify God and to be glorified with Him one day. Pastor Elliott

My Thoughts About This:

Thanks that was great! This time of year when we reflect on 9/11 I like to say to people: Always Remember! Because the Taliban could not steal, kill or destroy the American Spirit. Why? Because the American Spirit is Jesus Christ in us and through us! Our AWE-GOD is always being, no one and nothing can stop Him from being. So it is our wise choice to constantly take an "Omnipresent Reality Check" to make sure our heart connection with Jesus is tight and we are in a Holy Alignment with His life, word and way. What a powerful Holy Alliance we have with Jesus and He is always and forever for us. Jesus! His Name is our strength to press on, to "grow through" this precious life He gives us with the privilege we have to share in His Kingdom message and His sufferings! AWE-GOD!

A Sustainable Lifestyle By Bill Boyd

"Surely God is my help; the Lord is the one who sustains me." Psalm 54:4

A lifestyle is sustainable when the Lord is the sustainer. Behind every sustainable life is dependence on a Savior: to help in time of need—to provide calm in a crisis—to give perspective when feeling pressure and to slow down someone who is way to busy. The grace of God gives sustainability to a life paced by prayer and energized by faith in Jesus.

Are you involved in so many good initiatives, only to find yourself unable to keep up with your commitments? Is your pace of life without margin—unable to really invest in those who need you the most? Indeed, it is extremely important to take periodic audits of our pace of life and make sure we make room for real relational investments. A life is unsustainable, if it is always darting from one good deed to the next with no down time.

"Sustain me, my God, according to your promise, and I will live; do not let my hopes be dashed" (Psalm 119:116).

Sometimes it takes a restoration of joy in following Jesus to realign our hearts in rest with Him. Joyless living is drudgery and only contributes to fatigue and exhaustion. However, the Lord upholds His own—by His presence and the wisdom of His word. He is ever present to energize a seeking soul with His solace of strength, peace and perseverance.

Like a wilderness hiker without a backpack of supplies and no compass—is a life that wanders around without the sustenance of Scripture and the leadership of the Holy Spirit. A sustainable life has Almighty God as its architect and belief in Jesus as its builder. He sustains those who regularly seek Him with a pure heart and a teachable mind. He helps the humble and lifts up those who worship Him in Spirit and in truth.

"The LORD sustains the humble but casts the wicked to the ground" (Psalm 147:6).

Are you old? The Lord is your sustainer in your later years. Are you sick? Your Savior Jesus sustains you on your sick bed. Are you an orphan? You are not outcast, but a precious child of your Heavenly Father. Are you a widow or widower? You are not alone, but loved by the Lord. Are you in a new country, away from home? Jesus is trustworthy in your transition. Are you afraid? Christ is a prayer away to provide comfort and care.

Lastly, a sustainable lifestyle happens in community with other followers of Jesus. Faith comes alive when it is exercised in the presence of other people who love the Lord. You feel support, love, compassion, prayers and wisdom from the Body of Christ. The Lord is your help and His people are His helpers. A sustainable lifestyle comes from Christ.

"The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word" (Hebrews 1:3a).

How can I sustain my lifestyle in the power of the Spirit and not in my own strength?

Religion and Religiosity never sustained me. It just wasn't enough to hold me through the good and the bad times of this life. Sometimes life is hard, harder than I could have imagined and things happen that we would never have planned for, yet Jesus is simply-significantly enough. Money

Money is a wonderful thing, but not the main thing. Two positive things: gives you options and opportunity to help people. Value options=value money because of what it gives you. Money gives you options to pass on to others. The joy of giving is greater than the way of receiving.

*My THOUGHTS: GODS THOUGHTS = My Learning=Heart Change*

I have never thought about money that way, that it gives you better options. I guess because my greatest option is Jesus and I am content with the provision He brings into my life. So that was a very interesting thought. I always have viewed money as something to use to bless others and to invest into the Kingdom. I have never wanted it, unless to give it away and gift others in need. Money also to me is the hand of God's provision for my needs. He takes really good care of me. I am grateful for everything I have from His Hands. What money I have, I have in hand, from God's hand of provision and because it is His, I don't hold on to it very long, I place it where He points.

Philippians 4 ~ The Message Bible

6-7Don't fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God's wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It's wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.

8-9Summing it all up, friends, I'd say you'll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. Put into practice what you learned from me, what you heard and saw and realized. Do that, and God, who makes everything work together, will work you into his most excellent harmonies.

He'll take you to an ungodly place so you can see the Holy Spirit rising up within you, transforming an impossible situation while transforming lives in the process. We don't want to go to "Nineveh." Nobody does. But by running and hiding, we miss being part of what God is doing in our day and age. Like Jonah almost did………..

My Thoughts About This:

Yep... Nineveh... the cool thing is that God has already gone before us and is with us and as long as we cling tightly to  Him and dig our roots deeply into His Kingdom... this life is good!!  I pray your new God Adventure brings you much joy... wait and see what God will do... He is amazing...  I had a Ninevite telling me what to do last night trying to manipulate me, I saw through their eyes to a dead life, a life who truly needs Jesus Christ and this great salvation passion rises up in me and it overcomes the prickles of the outside of  this lost audacious ninevite….so lost... I watched as not just one beer but three get carried out, then come back in for three more and I thought... drinking to peace... only it is just temporary... has to do that every day, yet I have the peace that lasts through it all... God's Presence-Peace! I want that for this ninevite too.  So I guess Nineveh is not so bad...... there is Kingdom purpose here.

Exactly the point! WE are being asked to "tolerate sin". To look the other way and if we don't, if our love for God, our passion for the things on His Heart move us to speak the truth in love, we are called bigots, Pharisees, homo-phobic, intolerant, hard hearted and whatever else the cultural labels want to sling. I heard this on the news: "This is just the way it is in our society, we just need to learn to tolerate those whose life-styles are different." No, the truth is these life-styles are not "different", they are man-made and have nothing to do with God's original design. Someone said: Christians need to be educated in "tolerance"! I think not! We need to stay in relationship with God and His Truth and speak God's truth in love and stand courageously in it! The love of God compels us to speak the truth in love, to be consistent with God's Truth with all people at all times. I greatly dislike the words tolerate and tolerant, especially when the grace of God is presumed on and the sinner has no mind at all to change, but wants to be accepted because they are genetically predisposed!? All things all genetics in God's creation are all formed by the very truth He spoke into being in the beginning when He created male and female. This is the fine line where God's truth trumps tolerance and it is a fine line that is balanced between God's Love and God's Truth. The hard hearted is the sinner who wants to keep sinning and their heart will not be softened by tolerance, only truth spoken in due season, at the inspiration of God's Holy Spirit, can set them free. If God speaks to my heart to share His Truth and Love, I will not chose tolerance! This is a time for truth and love and it is not a time for truth to take a back seat to tolerance. Truth trumps tolerance with eternity. Tolerance is not love. God would choose truth and love. A Pharisee's heart motive was all about religion and religiosity, and they were law driven. With Jesus, with His Holy Spirit in the picture, we can be relationally driven, we can know the thoughts and intents of God's heart and our hearts can be humble and contrite in the passion of God's heart, in His Truth and Love.

Take Pride

"I am talking to you Gentiles. Inasmuch as I am the apostle to the Gentiles, I take pride in my ministry." Romans 11:13

There is a good pride. It is a feeling of accomplishment when a job is well done. It knows God has placed you in a work environment or family that you are proud of, because they honor you, the Lord, and others with their life. Bad pride brags and takes credit for good work, but good pride is grateful to God for the opportunity to represent Him well at work. Take pride in your work, because it is a reflection of your relationship with Jesus. If your work is sloppy or incomplete then you lose the moral high ground to speak to people about God. But if you arrive early and stay late until the project is complete—then people want to learn why you are motivated to take such pride in doing your job with excellence.

"I have spoken to you with great frankness; I take great pride in you. I am greatly encouraged; in all our troubles my joy knows no bounds" (2 Corinthians 7:4).

Take great pride in your relationships. Are you proud of your friends? Are your close confidants people you recommend so that others will listen to their advice? Perhaps you are concerned about someone you are dating—because you are not really proud of their disregard for authority and their disrespectful attitude. As a child of King Jesus do not settle for someone that only takes from you in a friendship. Be proud of your friends.

Good pride understands that humble circumstances are not something to be embarrassed about. Maybe you grew up with very little material possessions, but you were rich in the relational love of your family. Be grateful the Lord used your modest upbringing to bring you to Himself. Be not ashamed of who you are or where you came from, but be proud of God's providential path that has brought you to this point in life.

"Believers in humble circumstances ought to take pride in their high position" (James 1:9).

Lastly, take pride in yourself that the Lord has you in the middle of His will. Bad pride compares itself to others in discontent, while good pride is content to be the person Christ has called them to be. It's when you relax in being who you are that you are able to take pride in how God has gifted you and created you for His glory. The Lord expects you to take pride in yourself and to take pride as a servant of Jesus. Good pride gives God the glory.

"Each one should test their own actions. Then they can take pride in themselves alone, without comparing themselves to someone else" (Ephesians 6:4).

How can I take pride in my work, my relationships and myself and give God the glory?

Related Readings: 1 Corinthians 4:17; 2 Corinthians 5:12; Ephesians 2:10

Ephesians 2:10

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. New King James Version (NKJV)

My Thoughts About This:

I like this today because it reminds me what a privilege it is to be serving God, to be used by God and have the opportunity to be a part of His Kingdom purposes in play in this world. My heart just cries out to God to help me to be excellent in all I do, to be disciplined in spirit, truth and heart and set forth a kingdom working that God would be proud of each day an excellence that draws people to God because they see Him. I heard a teaching once that said: We all are working for Jesus. I want to show up in my each day with excellence but I know I can't do it without Him, so if I follow my boss, I gain His wisdom, I hear His thoughts, I experience His heart passion, I can be excellent in Him. I guess that is my hearts desire to be excellent in all that He calls me to and to do what I do unto Him because I am being found in Him!

Verse Of The Day@biblegateway.com

"Teach the older men to be temperate, worthy of respect, self-controlled, and sound in faith, in love and in endurance." Titus 2:2 NIV

My Thoughts As I Listen To This Chapter Titus 2:

Teach what is in accord with sound doctrine… sound in faith, love endurance. Be reverent in how you live. Don't slander. Teach what is good. Teach how to be self controlled… Submissive… Be self controlled, set an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity so that those who oppose you have nothing bad to say about you. Show you can be fully trusted to make the teaching about God our savior attractive. Say no to ungodliness and worldy passion and live self controlled Godly lives in this present age. Jesus gave Himself to purify a people who are His very own and do what is good. Do not let anyone despise you, do what it right and be ready to do what is good. Show true humility towards all men…

History

History is the biography of the lives of great people. History shows people of courage. One person many times is a majority when you have courage to do the right thing. Today, make history and do something courageous, right and good and help someone else.

My Thoughts About This:

The greatest History we can leave is a living legacy that points to the greatest man Who ever walked this earth, our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. He was, is and always will be our history. His heavenly hindsight of history pays forward eternity, something no one can paint the canvas of this world with but Him. AWE-GOD!

First you struggle trying to learn all the rules
Once you catch on and begin to understand
Only to find most people are broken and can't lend a hand!
You observe compromise from Elders
And Abuse from those called to Serve
They promised to cover and protect you, Yet they violate you and Pervert the Word.
Then you are left Deceived into thinking that, that is all you deserve.
You are searching for answers,
Crying out for help
but no one will listen.
You feel like you're screaming yet no one can hear
Day by day you replay the choices that you've made,
Only to find it was not because of your ways.
You didn't choose for life to be this way, born into bondage
and having to fight just to survive........
So what do you do Now?
Do you move forward or settle in and break down?
I want to make progress and gain greater ground,
But who will help me?
Who could show me how?
I don't want to feel this way any longer
I do what ever i can to drown it out
Someone! please help me put these things down.

My Thoughts About This:

Ouch… I could feel that pain! God does too! I feel it too, the pain of this generation, whose hearts are bent toward this world and the passion of God's heart to reach us, to renew us! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SvF2eKzx0i8

God did not design us for pain, He created us for Himself and did everything possible to keep us, even to the point of sending His own Son to die for us to restore the fellowship with Him. He then left us with His Holy Spirit and incredible and powerful Word so we could be totally equipped in His love, wisdom and grace. Pain is a symptom of sin, ours and others. We hurt so much because in our culture we isolate ourselves from God, through the culturalistic way of independence, we only need God when things are really, really bad and we realize we can't fix them. We live religious lives, that have no depth of relationship with our AWE-GOD! We don't follow His Truth, we rationalize it, and diminish it down to a comfort level we can live with, therefore there is pain and hurt from us living comfortable in our sins. Why? Because God's Word was spoken to keep us, to protect us from our humanity and shape us in Kingdom ways, yet we change it to suit our humanity, we tolerate sin when we were designed to walk in the fullness of God's Truth.

Followship of Jesus is counter cultural in our day in age because we are steeped in self indulgent excess, all of this which brings stress and pain into our lives. The truth is relative and love is conditional, and the strife between these compromises is very painful. God did not create us for this kind of pain, this is what we choose, you can even see the warning He gave us in Isaiah 50, He said don't kindle your own fire and walk by the light of a man made fire or you will lay down in torment. Torment is not found in complete followship of Jesus, His Word, His Way. Why is it people feel that we can't have Truth with Love, that love has to tolerate people's sin? Toleration does not free people, God's Truth Does. Truth=Love!

If we pursue God, a personal relationship with God with our hearts undivided, we will find His peace that surpasses the pain of this world, His truth in its fullness that sets us free and shapes us in His character. In the excess and creature comfort that we strive for, in the roots that we set into this earth through things, titles and rights we will only find dissatisfaction, disappointment, dismay, disillusionment and death of dreams. Only in Christ, walking in the fullness of His Word, fulfilling the destiny of our heavenly design is their lasting peace, huge hope, indescribable joy. Followship is the subscription for this generation, Jesus is the right way, the right truth and the only life that will endure forever! Go full out for God and His Kingdom! Tolerance-NO! Truth-YES! Love-ALWAYS! http://thebridegroomscafe.com/smorg.htm

Followship will be my heart's desire as I purposefully and diligently pursue Your Kingdom plan-purposes and deny my selfishness.

Psalm 145:3

God is magnificent; he can never be praised enough. There are no boundaries to his greatness.

My promised Bride, your insecurity is causing you to be tossed back and forth between My wisdom and your understanding- this will be a turbulent ride for your mind. Kimberlymac Excerpt From The Bridegroom's Voice

Following Jesus is a transition from distrust to trust—fear to faith—insecurity to security—selfish to selfless—hell to heaven—lost to found—isolation to community—getting to giving and scarcity living to abundant living. Boyd Bailey http://wisdomhunters.com

Psalm 143:9-11

Rescue me from my enemies, LORD, for I hide myself in you. 10 Teach me to do your will,

for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground.

Hear our prayer Lord. Listen to our cry for mercy. In your faithfulness be our relief. The enemy pursues us, crushes us to the grown. Our heart is dismayed. Meditate on all God's Work, open our hands to you. Our soul thirsts for you. Our spirit faints with longing. Let the morning bring word of Your unfailing love. Rescue us from our enemies. Hide yourself in God. For Your namesake preserve our lives. In your righteousness bring us out. Faithfulness and righteousness are our relief. No one is righteous before God. Our spirit grow faint within us. Answer us Lord God. Do not hide your face from us. Let the morning bring your unfailing love, I put my trust in You. I lift up my soul to You. Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God. Preserve my life in Your Righteousness. IN your unfailing love silence my enemies for I am Your Servant. Jesus.

Excerpts-Thoughts From The Bridegroom's Voice

Thur Sept 8 My Thoughts: From The Bridegroom's Voice Week 2

  • Jesus I pray my 1st call will be to You, today and everyday.
  • Subdue my selfish nature, quiet my questions and help me to pursue Your Will
  • Total surrender, nothing less, this is what I hope huge for. Let my human condition be under Your control Jesus!
  • Questioning God shows my need for a "completely"!
  • To know you past my questioning heart, I must rise above my doubts, fears, fleshly attitudes and fully face You, Lord God. So be it!

Hebrews 6:13-20

For when God made [His] promise to Abraham, He swore by Himself, since He had no one greater by whom to swear, 14 Saying, Blessing I certainly will bless you and multiplying I will multiply you. 15 And so it was that he [Abraham], having waited long and endured patiently, realized and obtained [in the birth of Isaac as a pledge of what was to come] what God had promised him. 16 Men indeed swear by a greater [than themselves], and with them in all disputes the oath taken for confirmation is final [ending strife]. 17 Accordingly God also, in His desire to show more convincingly and beyond doubt to those who were to inherit the promise the unchangeableness of His purpose and plan, intervened (mediated) with an oath. 18 This was so that, by two unchangeable things [His promise and His oath] in which it is impossible for God ever to prove false or deceive us, we who have fled [to Him] for refuge might have mighty indwelling strength and strong encouragement to grasp and hold fast the hope appointed for us and set before [us]. 19 [Now] we have this [hope] as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul [it cannot slip and it cannot [a]break down under whoever steps out upon it--a hope] that reaches [b]farther and enters into [the very certainty of the Presence] within the veil, 20 Where Jesus has entered in for us [in advance], a Forerunner having become a High Priest forever after the order (with [c]the rank) of Melchizedek.

My Thoughts About This Verse:

  • My AWE-GOD is unchangeable in His faithfulness, trustworthiness and beyond any doubtful questions is where my relationship with Him should be.
  • Hoping in God will anchor my soul in trust.
  • When I find myself questioning God with a doubtful attitude, I need to increase my hope in Him, let go of my personal expectations and anchor my soul to His Powerful Holy Spirit.
  • What is so unchangeable about my AWE-GOD? His faithfulness to Goodness. He is Infinitely Good!
  • God's Goodness Is A Great Anchor For Our Soul In Times Like These! How Faithful He Is! How Good He Is To Us!
  • Hope Huge In God! Pray for His strength of faith to fill your heart, dispel all questions and believe completely in Him! AWE-GOD!
  • We have the strong Word of God, His Oath spoken in purposeful Kingdom promises backed up with His Infinite Power! AWE-GOD! We are so blessed!

Worthy News Brief @worthyemail.com

Kimberly, be still!

Psalms 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

In one passage in John, Mary and Martha come running to Jesus, asking Him to heal Lazarus, who was critically ill. Since Lazaruswas a good friend of Jesus, I'm sure they were expecting that Jesus would come immediately to his aid. The scripture says, however, that Jesus stayed two more days in the place where He was. It was in those two days that Lazarus died.

It's so hard to understand why it is that God waits to do the things we ask of Him. It's good for us to remember, though, that He has His purposes for waiting. God was about to teach everyone involved a much deeper lesson here. As Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, He made sure they all understood that He is the resurrection and the life for all who believe.

God has His perfect timing for everything under heaven. You may be waiting for God to intervene in some area of your life. You may have been begging and pleading with God for years on that particular thing. But we can relax and know that God's timing is perfect. We never know what God is doing behind the scenes, in order that our joy would be made full. Remember that He knows best what would bless us most and He is working all things for those of us who love Him and are called according to His purposes.

Kimberly, relax. God is in control. He has greater things for you than what you could ask or think!

*My THOUGHTS: GODS THOUGHTS = My Learning=Heart Change*

Waiting on God is the hardest thing to conqueror in Christianity, it so clashes with our human condition. I have to keep reminding myself of God's "purpose principle"! God always has a better purpose in every situation I am in, that is why His timing is perfect and my harried impulsiveness is lacking. I have anchor myself in the truth that "God's Got This" or my impulsive nature will pay forward in a dead ended discouragement. I need to train myself to trust God, to give God time to Work. Sit Down Impulsive Nature! Let God Work! God is in control and He can do things that I could not even begin to hope for or image!

Pride's Downfall

But after Uzziah became powerful, his pride led to his downfall. He was unfaithful to the LORD his God, and entered the temple of the LORD to burn incense on the altar of incense. 2 Chronicles 26:16

Lust for power is as insidious as it sounds. It is a dysfunctional drive that demands blind loyalty with nothing in return. Power hungry leaders are insensitive and short sighted as they take whatever means are necessary to accomplish their egocentric ends. They become entangled in their own web of wanting more control and find themselves trapped in a malaise of manipulation.

Power hungry leaders are insensitive-short sighted and find themselves trapped in a malaise of manipulation. Boyd Bailey http://wisdomhunters.com

Power has built-in arrogance that needs to be confronted with honesty, humility and truth. Moreover, it is unnatural for the spiritually minded to need power. They give it away to avoid greedily getting more. The devil used the promise of power to tempt Christ, however Jesus knew that Satan's temptation was a ploy that appealed to His pride.

"Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. "All this I will give you," he said, "if you will bow down and worship me." Jesus said to him, "Away from me, Satan! For it is written: 'Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only''" (Matthew 4:8-10).

Indeed, the lust for power does not exclude any industry or organization: politics, religion, business and ministry all have to deal with the stewardship of power and responsibility. So, how do you manage power or does it manage you? Only when you give it away are you free from its control. The more influence and authority you have the more wisdom and accountability you need from the Lord and trusted advisors.

You cannot keep power in its proper place without the principles of God's Word prescribing your behavior. This is why it is extremely easy to work for a boss with character. You trust them and you believe they have yours and the company's best interests in mind. This is why in marriage a woman can trust and follow a man of conviction, because she believes in him and trusts him to be accountable to God.

Furthermore, if you apply humility to your heart, power will not go to your head. Just as pride comes before a fall (Proverbs 16:18), humility comes before promotion by God. Therefore, use power as an excuse for persistent prayer and honest feedback. Give it away—for then it loses its prideful control and you avoid an embarrassing downfall.

"For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted" (Luke 14:11).

How can I stay accountable as a servant leader and not follow pride's downfall?

*My THOUGHTS: GODS THOUGHTS = My Learning=Heart Change*

We have to guard our hearts! The devil uses the promise of power to tempt us, to entice our prideful human condition. One way to guard our hearts from pride is to make room for God in our thoughts. Words get all twisted up by pride. Pride exaggerates, pride lies, pride focuses all our words on ourselves, pride twists our words with cockiness, pride twists our words with sarcasam, critizism, irony. Twisted Words Oh Lord May They Be Far From Me Today! Nothing can stay lifted higher than God, pride always falls, God is always exalted. Human arrogance has no staying power, trumped by the Light of God's Omnipotence it is always humbled down to the dust.

James 1:13-15

Let no one say when he is tempted, I am tempted from God; for God is incapable of being tempted by [what is] evil and He Himself tempts no one. 14 But every person is tempted when he is drawn away, enticed and baited by his own evil desire (lust, passions).15 Then the evil desire, when it has conceived, gives birth to sin, and sin, when it is fully matured, brings forth death.

Attraction:

Most of us want to be attractive but we misunderstand how. Way too much emphasis on physical and way too little on attitude. Most attractive people have an attractive attitude. It is expansive in care and have positive attitudes. Beauty is only skin deep, but beneath that beauty the inner soul, the life that wants to help. It is the spirit that makes someone attractive. You are not limited at all on the inside attractiveness. Work on the inside and it will seep to the outside and make you attractive.

*My THOUGHTS: GODS THOUGHTS = My Learning=Heart Change*

I agree! The most attractive person ever was Jesus Christ and ever is attracting all to Him. Jesus's attractiveness flows from His heart, the abundant passion, the deep devotion of caring He has for us. He is attractive one on one and attractive in a corporate crowd, because He exudes the life of His Father God. The image of the Father was so brilliant in Jesus from the inside out; especially after His quiet moments in the wilderness as He poured out His heart to the Father and received from God more than He could ever hope for or imagine in strength and peace. So I believe in order for me to be attractive, Jesus needs to rise up in me and I need to be a reflection of all things Kingdom Good! Also, I believe a huge hope in God, a complete trust in His Ways, a clinging to His Promises makes us very attractive to this world we live in!

Influence:

Influence is intentional and it adds value to other people. Influence is what we all want and need and helps you be a better leader. Title or position? No not really. Not really who they are or what they have attained. Influence is every day doing your best to help people add value to them. The people who influence you are people who care for you and intentionally deposit goodness in your life. If you want to be people of influence than get intentional about adding value to other people.

*My THOUGHTS: GODS THOUGHTS = My Learning=Heart Change*

Very True! God is the greatest influence in my life. He truly cares about me in a HUGE way and in those gentle whispers of His Holy Spirit. He is the main influence in my life. I can also be His Influence in others lives as I step into each moment and chose from moment to choice to put others first, to care for them and be God's intentional encouragement in their lives. But you know him already because he has been staying with you, and will even be in you!  The person who knows my commandments and keeps them, that's who loves me.  "And the person who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and make myself plain to him."

Get together with others, engage in life together. Ecc 4:9-12 If you are by yourself, you can get taken out pretty easily. Exhortation- The Shepherd's Communicated Love-Wisdom!

Wow, if it wasn't for people, wouldn't church be great!!! I know how unsettling all that is... Wow.... I guess we all are so different and it is tough dealing with personalities and ways of doing things. Actually I stopped putting people up on a pedestal a long time ago, the worst hurt of my Christian life came from a pastor. And it took me years to grow through it. Even to this day, if I hear his name, I still cringe on the inside. I just decided not to base my followship of God on people. People buzz around us all day and they do dumb and stupid things, it is the human condition.... and at times I do dumb and stupid things too... I can stay focused on God's plan for me and the Kingdom work He has for me despite living here in Nineveh! I do get so sick and tired of church politics and all the human doings that totally mess with our heads, but where God asks me to go and what God asks me to do, whether it be volunteer or work, whatever it is, I do unto Him. People, no matter who they are or what title they have will answer to God, they are not exempt. He wants me here, that is all that matters, His purposes are not always very clear, but in our followship, He is clear and easy to follow. I don't like it here, I don't want to be here, but God's Purposes, being in the flow of them, trumps all of my feelings. Like today God asked me to write an exhortation, I had to obey Him. In writing that I lost two friends. But God said to write it, I had to obey. It is fun being an exhorter at times, but at other times it is not, but both times God says: follow. Followship has its ups and downs, its rights and wrongs, its fairness and injustices but the common denominator Jesus Christ, He is pretty awesome... So hang your "rights" up on His "Kingdom Coat Rack" and step out and follow wherever He leads... because in that there is peace that surpasses all the hurts that "human doing" of other people around you brings.
