My Upmost For His Hightest By Oswald Chambers
Isaiah 61 The Year of the LORD's Favor
1 The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, [a] 2 to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, 3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor. 4 They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations. 5 Aliens will shepherd your flocks; foreigners will work your fields and vineyards. 6 And you will be called priests of the LORD, you will be named ministers of our God. You will feed on the wealth of nations, and in their riches you will boast. 7 Instead of their shame my people will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace they will rejoice in their inheritance; and so they will inherit a double portion in their land, and everlasting joy will be theirs. 8 "For I, the LORD, love justice; I hate robbery and iniquity. In my faithfulness I will reward them and make an everlasting covenant with them. 9 Their descendants will be known among the nations and their offspring among the peoples. All who see them will acknowledge that they are a people the LORD has blessed." 10 I delight greatly in the LORD; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. 11 For as the soil makes the sprout come up and a garden causes seeds to grow, so the Sovereign LORD will make righteousness and praise spring up before all nations.
Excerpt:
"Before I can say, "I saw the Lord, " there must be something in my character that conforms to the likness of God. Until I am born again and really begin to see the kingdom of God, I only see from the perspective of my own biases."

"Your priorities must be God first, God second and God third, until your life is continually face to face with God and no on else is taken into account whatsoever. Your prayer will then be, " In all the world there is no one but You, dear God, there is no one but You."

Excerpt:
"To redeem mankind the Eternal Son did not leave the bosom of the Father; while walking among men He referred to Himself as "the only begotton Son which is in the bosom of the Father,"
"In His incarnation the Son veiled His deity, but He did not void it. The unity of the Godhead made it impossible that He should surrender anything of His deity."

Praying 4 U Today, God spoke to my heart this morning that He is using this season of your life to create in Your soul an oak of righteousness. I suggest you find out what an "oak" is. The characteristics of an oak tree, what it takes to grow one and then study on righteousness and put the two of them together. I believe the Holy Spirit will show you because this season of time, the anxiety and the changes in your life all have a purpose to Him, a good purpose to create in Your soul the kind of emotions that are visible as an Oak of Righteousness and characteristic of such.
Do a word search at www.biblegateway.com for the word "oak"! Don't look at the content of the verse, but just at the word oak to see what they were used for. God is going to make you an "oak" and it is through this "season" of your life that He will shape you into an oak. Pursue this concept of becoming an "oak" because in it is the purpose of your suffering, "growing through" anxiety.
One verse I saw which was particularly interesting was this one:
Ezekiel 27:6
Of oaks from Bashan they made your oars;

I could almost hear God say that He is making you into an Oak Tree so that you can one day be made into the oars that help people row out of the soul-bog that comes from being molested as a child.
Remember this:
But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. Corinthians 4:7-9
"Ask God for understanding deep within our hearts for what our calling is. Pray on our knees and beg God to reveal His calling on our lives through our suffering. He has a call through my suffering that only I can fulfill." Quote By: Celeste Li, M.D http://www.triumphoversuffering.org/

Growing pains are the worse, but God uses them for the best! Hang in there. I love you so!

2 Corinthians 4:7-9
However, we possess this precious treasure [the divine Light of the Gospel] in [frail, human] vessels of earth, that the grandeur and exceeding greatness of the power may be shown to be from God and not from ourselves. 8We are hedged in (pressed) on every side [troubled and oppressed in every way], but not cramped or crushed; we suffer embarrassments and are perplexed and unable to find a way out, but not driven to despair; 9We are pursued (persecuted and hard driven), but not deserted [to stand alone]; we are struck down to the ground, but never struck out and destroyed;

You Are Becoming An Oak Tree, So You Can Be God's Oar!
2 Cor 4:7-9
If you only look at us, you might well miss the brightness. We carry this precious Message around in the unadorned clay pots of our ordinary lives. That's to prevent anyone from confusing God's incomparable power with us. As it is, there's not much chance of that. You know for yourselves that we're not much to look at. We've been surrounded and battered by troubles, but we're not demoralized; we're not sure what to do, but we know that God knows what to do; we've been spiritually terrorized, but God hasn't left our side; we've been thrown down, but we haven't broken. What they did to Jesus, they do to us—trial and torture, mockery and murder; what Jesus did among them, he does in us—he lives! Our lives are at constant risk for Jesus' sake, which makes Jesus' life all the more evident in us. While we're going through the worst, you're getting in on the best!

*My Prayer-HIS-THOUGHTS: KimberlyMac Shining 4-Him- Glowing His Glory-Always-4Ever!*
When I was having the anxiety attacks regularly, I despised them. Then I learned a valuable lesson from God about how my weakness is used much more than my strength and how in my weakness, He was strong. I no longer despise my "emotional weakness", I use it to give glory and honor to God and through it, He speaks volumes of Himself and the power that He has to create in my weakness, something so beautiful, something so Him! So your first step is to not despise your weakness, but embrace it because you believe the truth that God makes beauty from ashes, strength from weakness and purpose from pain.
2 Corinthians 13:4
Although he was crucified in weakness, he now lives by the power of God. We, too, are weak, just as Christ was, but when we deal with you we will be alive with him and will have God's power.

2 Corinthians 13:4
In fact, He was crucified (A) in weakness, but He lives (B) by God's power. For we also are weak in Him, (C) yet toward you we will live (D) with Him by God's power.

Be found in Christ! Become an Oak Tree and God will use you to be an Oar that helps row others out of the sea of despair! Growing to be an oak tree might be a bit "painful" but the end result is huge in God's Glory as He uses you as a sturdy Oak Oar to row others to Him!
