Day 6: Tuesday, January 6, 2009

Road Trip personal thoughts of Kimberlymac!

I started out this day by turning off my alarm and not getting up early, slept in an hour and ½ later. I did not sleep well last night, but that is not an excuse. I know my best time with God is early, but I also know that He meets me where I am at. He is so good. Yesterday I slipped up in my attitude, I got discouraged and sad because I focused on the goal and not the goal setter. As I yearned for food, TV and things I am giving up for this spiritual fast, I took my focus off of the Lord and on them and then I began to let my mind think ahead with dreadful and foreboding thoughts. I can't do this. Why am I doing this? What am I doing this for? It is too hard. What if I get weaker in body? The more I thought about the thoughts, the darker the path of my attitudes became. I quickly realized I needed an attitude adjustment that needed to come from a change of focus. I stopped looking at the endgame and started looking at Jesus, right now. I found His Presence, His Peace and His Provision to endure. So I learned something valuable yesterday in my Grow to Go and it is this: Don't focus on the goal, the diet and the endgame. Focus on the goal maker, pace setter and that day at hand because that is where Jesus Christ is with His strength, His peace, His wisdom and His Endurance!

Road Trip : 2 endurance! attitude- paced- 2-appreciate!

1. I appreciate all the divine appointments You Lord have made for our good!
2. Grateful that we signed the lease for the apt the week they were doing a 1000 dollar off special.
3. Grateful that we just happen to run into someone moving and selling a washer and dryer for 100 dollars.
4. Grateful for getting a third story apartment, near the pool, Gym, mail and clubhouse! Very convenient!
5. Grateful for CPI, for the divine appointment with a contractor on our last job.
6. Grateful for a job, not just any job, but probably the best company in this area.
7. Grateful for a very generous surprise Christmas gift. Thank you Lord!

Road Trip personal thoughts!

It was a hard day today. I so wanted something… chocolate, pizza, ice cream… I would have taken even a spoonful! I am sooooo missing TV and that is not a good thing, it shows me that I have a lot of fat on my spirit that I need to get rid of. It is so weird not watching any TV, you ought to try it for a week… I am!!! It is funny, but I miss Fox news the most! HMMMMM what does that tell me?? Am I a news junky, do I have to be in the know all the time, does that help me feel secure if I know whats happening? HMMMM. I really did not feel well with the Arbonne Cleanse in the 4^th day, which is the hump day for the cleanse. I could feel my emotions being swayed by what I was feeling in my body and I realized, I need to make a conscious choice no matter how I am feeling to have a good attitude!

It was a difficult day, Jesus was LARGER than the difficulty.

LIFE HAPPENS! LIVE IT IN GOD'S PRESENCE!

Life happens every day and God walks with us along our life-path and a lot of the times, He interrupts our gait with His surprising miracles, those big and little impossibilities that seem to just suddenly light up our path. My son, Chris had one of those this past year when God unexpectedly brought his fiance Summer into his life. All of us can testify of the devotion between them, a spark of love ignited by The Holy Spirit! They have a cool story of a sign a literal "sign" with AMEN written on it that God miraculously gave them as a "Go" to their dating relationship!

LOVE WORTH FIGHTING FOR!    

We all have a special love that is worth "standing" for! Mine is Jesus First, Bob, my husband second! LOL! Yes, He does not mind being second to Jesus because He knows that makes me a better friend and wife to him! In this generation, we Christians all are "standing 4 Jesus"! Sometimes that is all we can do is stand, watch and wait for His gory to be revealed in our situations. Our culture in 2009 will throw up a lot of road blocks to the goals and dreams God has written on our hearts. We need to desire to learn to STAND, because in our all and everything Jesus is worth it and those we love and what He has told us to do is worth the fight to STAND, not giving up any ground to our enemy! STAND!!!

SUDDEN ROAD BLOCKS!

I think our enemy deliberately throws up road blocks, stumbling blocks in our life path! Our day starts out like every day as we "Grow 2 Go" with Jesus, following after the goals, visions, dreams He has given us ! Daily we walk our life path our Father God has laid out for us to achieve the providence He has placed in our hearts. With Jesus, Our Heavenly Father and the Holy Spirit…we are Destined To Win! Life happens as we continue to keep pace with Jesus, carefully placing our heels in His footprints as He always goes before us making the way smooth for us! INTERUPPTED LIFE PACE!

WHAM!!! A Sudden Road Block! Oh it hurts when you slam into those divisively placed obstructions! Ouch! That Hurt! Then confusion comes, you lurch out of your destined God pace. Whoa! Where did that come from? Totally Blocked! What now! You can see Jesus ahead, you can see the next step, but your circumstances block you taking it. So what now? 3 John 1:4 (NIV) I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.

 

Hey Precious Children! Praying for each one of us today! This weekend ended really good for us. You know sometimes you feel like God is so far ahead of you, that you can't catch up to what He wants! He really isn't, it is just that our will holds us back. I felt that way when we moved to Charleston. It happened so quickly, yet I knew it was what He wanted, but I struggled so with it. I realize now that the best way is to just surrender at the get-go! He always gets His way with us. Willessness is a good thing! Anyway, I feel like I caught up to God, and I knew as we sat in the Dream Center talking to the Pastor and Children's Pastor that we finally found our way to what God has for us in Charleston. It is a good feeling! We are going to start in Children's ministry at the Center on Sunday mornings and then on Wednesday nights, we are going to cook and feed and tutor children from the area with the outreach at the Dream Center. I also connected with the secretary there and she needs some help, so I am going to give her one day and just be of service to what she needs done! So cool! I am excited! I read some in the book Battlefield Of The Mind By Joyce Meyer today and she said this and I thought it would be good for all of us to read:

• "We must not give way to fearful thoughts and feelings that attack us. We must learn to remain steadfast, knowing that no matter how things appear now, God will work them out for our good—and in the process, He will use them to make us better people."
• "We also learn through what we suffer."
• "Because of our sinful nature, we tend to fight God at every point, but this only makes the process longer and more painful. Learn to surrender quickly, and save yourself a lot of agony. I've learned that God gets His way in the end, so why prolong the process?"

So today I am praying for us: Bob, Kim, Brad, Bonnie, Kiele, Ryanne, Chris, Summer, Kenneth, Tina that God would teach us a new kind of "willessness" in 2009 and we would learn to quickly surrender to His will by: FAITH! Activate It! PRAYER! Do It! TRUST! Live It!

I pray that our willessness will be activated first before our impulsiveness! Make it so Lord Jesus! AMEN!
• Father God, work out every detail in our lives, our all in our everything for Your Good Purpose! Jesus! AMEN!

Romans 8: 22-25

All around us we observe a pregnant creation. The difficult times of pain throughout the world are simply birth pangs. But it's not only around us; it's within us. The Spirit of God is arousing us within. We're also feeling the birth pangs. These sterile and barren bodies of ours are yearning for full deliverance. That is why waiting does not diminish us, any more than waiting diminishes a pregnant mother. We are enlarged in the waiting. We, of course, don't see what is enlarging us. But the longer we wait, the larger we become, and the more joyful our expectancy. 26-28Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God's Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don't know how or what to pray, it doesn't matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans. He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God. That's why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good. 29-30God knew what he was doing from the very beginning. He decided from the outset to shape the lives of those who love him along the same lines as the life of his Son. The Son stands first in the line of humanity he restored. We see the original and intended shape of our lives there in him. After God made that decision of what his children should be like, he followed it up by calling people by name. After he called them by name, he set them on a solid basis with himself. And then, after getting them established, he stayed with them to the end, gloriously completing what he had begun.

Road Trip personal thoughts of Kimberlymac!

I woke up this morning feeling very yucky in my body, yet I had a song in my spirit. Our God Reigns! I love it when I wake up with a song on my heart, in my head and on my lips. I think that is one of the little miracles of life that we miss the significance of because of our busy lives. I am learning endurance in 2009. I know this is the road trip adventure that God has for me. I started with a seven day "spiritual fast" where I am being led by the Holy Spirit as what to eat for my soul, spirit, will, mind and body. It has been a very interesting trip so far. This promise in Philippians 1:6 about God finishing what He starts in me is probably the best thing the Holy Spirit could have fed me today. I am very hungry, my stomach is growling and I feel so yucky from the Arbonne Detox I am doing. I don't "think" I can do this 7 day fast or this 40 day "spiritual" diet because of my past performances of not finishing what I start. So, this scripture really speaks to me today.. I am not the finisher... He is! Jesus is the finisher in Me! I don't need to look to my past failure track record, I need to look to Jesus because He is doing something new in me today, this day! I learned from this promise that my confidence is well put in Him, He will finish this work in me because He started it. I guess that is the key... I have started so many things in my life... therefore they did not get finished. He started this.... He will finish this... I don't focus on me now, my past or the road trip ahead, if I am to Grow 2 Go all the way to endurance, then my focus needs to be on HIM, Jesus Christ... today! Ahhhhhh thank you Holy Spirit for this verse, it was very timely as You always are! Thank you!

I was dead in my human nature, in the origin of my sin. You, Father God could have left me there as a consequence of the humanity of my forefathers. You chose life for me, for all of us! Thank You! Father God, Your Grace saved me, it raised me above my earthly lot to a Heavenly Promise, an eternal Kingdom. I can't tell you how much I have taken that for granted. I feel awful about that! Yet now, as I walk with Jesus on a new kind of adventure, a road trip to Endurance, I realize the importance of such a Grace as this. To Grow 2 Go unto Endurance, I must learn to be positioned in Your Grace in my now. Taking my rightful position in Your Grace, enables me to rise above my natural tendencies by the power of Your Mercy resurrected! Every day and even so now, my flesh and its wants and desires scream out: "what about me?"! This measly cry can be silenced by the bounteous, rich Voice of the Bridegroom, as I sit at His feet positioned by my Father God's Grace! Oh Lord God, forgive me for taking such a position of Grace for granted. I have you know….taken it for granted! I will not again! Jesus! I had a pretty good day today! We were supposed to go to the Dream Center for service, so I was not sure I would feel up to it because the Arbonne Cleanse takes a lot of the toxins out of you the first three days, if you know what I mean…J! But, I really felt like I should go, so I just asked the Lord for the Grace I needed and wellllla…. He gave it! Thank you Lord Jesus!

When I think about God making me, creating me, shaping all of me with the foresight of His purpose in mind for me, it really does help me to grow, enduring through the things that I can't wrap my mind around or feel I can't handle a day longer! I realize that God does not want to change my situations that I cry out to Him about, He wants to change me to become more and more dependent upon The One Whom I truly belong to and with. I may be in this world, but I am not of it! My destiny, that God sent His Son to die for, is not one I can earn but one I can realize through faith in Christ Jesus. I am shaped by the Grace of God, there is no other greater position in this life but to be found in Him! I may have a lot of opportunities to choose from, many different paths I could take and too many things to decide whether to experience or not, yet throughout my day, I know God has something specific for me, something He has prepared for me… first! I so want to be aware of His First desire for me! I don't want to take second place in this world when I can position myself in His Heavenly Realm of Grace, His First Place for me and realize the dreams of His heart for me! God has dreamed a dream of me and now I desire to be completely a part of His revelation of purpose! God saved me for His intentions to be revealed in me and through me. His Salvation is a gift that is given freely with no prerequisites and in a salvation as great as this, I take joy and grow in strength and endurance in Him!

10:17 pm This day has ended well… and You Lord really helped me grow through it. You gave me two friends today that are going to be accountable partners for me. I call them my "Firstees"! Thanks for that encouragement Lord. I went to church on Your strength and I am so glad I did because I made a connection and got a revelation that I have been waiting for. If I let the way I was feeling rule my decision, I would not have made that divine connection. Thank you Jesus!

Day 1: Thursday, January 1^st 2009:

I started this day off just listening and hearing about the road trip that the Lord wants me to take with Him in 2009. It sounds like quite the Adventure! I know that the Lord is probably the greatest adventurer there is, so I am in! A Road Trip To Endurance!

Day 2: Friday, January 02, 2009

The Lord woke me up today with a seven day fast plan to start the first leg of a 40 day "spiritual diet" for my body, soul, spirit, mind and will!

Shaping My Spirit

First out of bed: ½ hour a day on my face, still before the Lord. All Day:No TV-DVD for 7 days. Read Through Book of Isaiah. Write Daily In A Road Trip Adventure 2009 Journal. Listen to the Lord for directions for the next week of my 2009 Road Trip! Pray for endurance to be able to Grow 2 Go!

Shaping My Body

I realize completely that I can't do this! That is the honest truth! I have a terrible track record when it comes to fasting and diets! I have never stuck on a diet for more than maybe 3 days! So… as I was praying this morning, I recognized that I needed God; that is for sure because without Him, His strength and His will power…this is a bust! I also realized I needed my friends and family to be accountable to so I wrote up a blog post and asked them to join me on this Road Trip God Adventure: Grow 2 Go! I filed it under blog post 09/Grow 2 Go and posted it at my blog this morning that was sitting at a count number of 458. So I am hoping huge that the Holy Spirit will convince people to come with me on this 2009 Road Trip!

I am thinking at 12:33 am that I can't do this for seven days! Then I hear God's still small voice directing me, teaching me and He shares with me that He wants me to learn a moment by moment balance, of being positioned in His Presence as I am in my situation, but not of it, being found in Him! I can do all things through Jesus Who strengthens me. I can, I will! Jesus wants me to learn a moment to moment dependence upon Him where I endure through the moment; not looking ahead at the impossibility of my future, but at now, the possibility of His Presence in me…right now! Right now, I have His strength, His will power and His purposes for good are at work in me. I need to stop looking ahead for possibility and see it right here with me! Yes I do! I need to see Jesus now and learn to live in the heavenly hindsight more than I do the dread of foresight. Jesus make it so in me! AMEN!

3:38 pm! The funny thing is that I really don't think I can do this!! But I know, I know the Lord wants me to. So I am learning another really cool thing about the Lord. That which He asks, He provides for. I can think a lot of things that really stir up my surface emotions, but I can truly know something that settles me deeper!! Jesus I am digging deeper!

What a beautiful picture of God's mercy. We should have... those three words really struck my heart today…very hard! We should have... suffered God's anger... BUT... because of His Mercy... we did not! We should have stayed separated from God… We should have… BUT… because of the Father God's mercy, I today am in a personal relationship with my Father God, through Jesus by His Holy Spirit. I am so blessed that because of Jesus, my sinful nature does not keep me from the sweet fellowship I have with My Father God. We should have…. Except for MERCY! HMMMMMMM! My 7 day fast does totally relate to Mercy, because I am thinking a good thought of "His Mercy Is New Every Morning" and this is a one day at a time thing. Growing 2 Go! I am hoping that this 7 day "spiritual fast" will cleanse my body of all toxins, my soul of all worldly desires, my will of what I want and my spirit of everything and all that does not reflect God's Glory! So Be It… We should have… except for HIS MERCY! Jesus! AMEN!

I Am Starting On A Champions Road Trip

…A God Adventure For 2009

Called: "Grow 2 Go!"

 

Hey friends! Happy New Year!

I sense the Lord is taking me on a Champions Road Trip this year of 2009. I am going to "Grow 2 Go"! Jesus has promised to shake up some of my "natural" senses this year and help me to learn to live more in the "supernatural" light of God's Presence, Purpose, Promise and Provision by the direction of His Holy Spirit! I am hoping huge that I can learn to stay in Pace with God's Presence in my all and everything, from moment to moment with an endurance that is beyond what I could imagine or hope for! Grow 2 Go! G2G! That is my tall order for 2009! I know that this year, I am destined to learn "endurance that perseveres past the natural to the supernatural" so I can GROW 2 Go! I have a feeling that it will continue my last year's adventure of "willessness 2 completely"! HMMMMM! Okay now…. LOL! J

I guess the logical first thoughts are: where do I begin? Where am I now in view of my body and spiritual health? I usually stay on a pretty consistent diet of natural food, spiritual food and exercise. I call it a "lifestyle diet"!

My body weight does not fluctuate too much, it pretty much stays the same; my spiritual attitudes usually are hopeful, my will is being shaped daily by God and my body is relatively strong for my age. Over the past five years I have learned to eat 80 percent of the time really good and 20 percent, I enjoy some things that I love: chocolate, ice cream, coconut cake, french fries, pastries and pizza! Which translates into looking like this: Monday-Friday a good diet and the weekends, a fun diet!!! LOL!

Spiritually, I ingest the Word daily, and stay in God's Presence trying to keep pace with what He is doing and be Holy Spirit led! I have not really read through the bible in years or done an indebt study on a book of the bible for a while because as an exhorter/encourager for God, my study is more topical.

*****MY UPS AND DOWNS AS A CHAMPION IN CHRIST*****

In the past five years, I did very little physical exercise! Booo Hooo! I was really out of balanced in this area of my life and the only thing I did was walk when I could fit it in. This past year as Pastor Tom Mullins (www.gochristfellowship.com) spoke on being a Champion In Christ, I was really convicted in the area of exercise and began exercising daily and also began a Cause to keep me accountable with those on facebook called: Step It Up!

The last two years as a Champion In Christ, I had a lot of ups and downs as the Lord was adjusting my will through situations: job losses, moving, family changes, relational problems, financial crashes and the shaping of a very strong will… therefore, unfortunately I did not stay as disciplined on my life-style diet and I gained about 15 pounds in body fat and probably a lot more in spiritual "fat"! I do believe though, that at the end of this Road Trip God Adventure of 2009, that I will have learned an "endurance" that paces me through life's adversities causing me to not just "go through to get through" but to "grow 2 go" and keep myself in a good shape, a body and spirit that is balanced, set and ready to "Grow 2 Go" …enduring until the end of my life race in Christ Jesus!

As 2009 begins, I sense that the Lord wants to teach me something about a "spiritual endurance" that comes as a result of learning to tap into His will power, His Mind, His Attitudes, His strength, His Purpose and His Word; as I learn to consistently stay in pace with His Presence, Purpose, Promise and Provisions on my life path. Yes, The Road Trip Adventure Of 2009 Begins! First, the Lord has asked me to Grow 2 Go, and I have decided to do it, this Road Trip Adventure with Jesus! So these past couple of days, I feel that I am being led into a "spiritual diet-fast" that is going to be somewhat very different from my past crazy diets! LOL!! I am going to take the next 40 days to shape up my body, soul and spirit in a fast of sorts that will be led by the Holy Spirit as I begin a new God Adventure in 2009 called: Grow 2 Go! I already know, I can't do this on my own! Help me Jesus, help me friends!

Grow and Go! Start a journal to express gratefulness, thanksgiving, gratitude. GTG! Grow To Go attitude shaper! Write at least 7 GTG statements a day!

Shaping My Soul

Led To Listen! Let the Holy Spirit lead me to two Christian songs a day during this 7 day fast. Listen and meditate on two songs a day and write out statements of praises to God in my G2G Journal.
