Family Prayer: STAND!

FAMILY PRAYER JANUARY 5TH, 2009:

"STAND!"

 

When we have done all we can, we must still wait for God to accomplish His purposes. As we wait, we can fix our eyes on Jesus as a companion who empathizes with our suffering and a Savior who is working behind the scenes. Difficult circumstances seem to increase our ability to experience intimacy with Christ.

LIFE HAPPENS! LIVE IT IN GOD'S PRESENCE!

Life happens every day and God walks with us along our life-path and a lot of the times, He interrupts our gait with His surprising miracles, those big and little impossibilities that seem to just suddenly light up our path. My son, Chris had one of those this past year when God unexpectedly brought his fiance Summer into his life. All of us can testify of the devotion between them, a spark of love ignited by The Holy Spirit! They have a cool story of a sign a literal "sign" with AMEN written on it that God miraculously gave them as a "Go" to their dating relationship!

LOVE WORTH FIGHTING FOR!    

We all have a special love that is worth "standing" for! Mine is Jesus First, Bob, my husband second! LOL! Yes, He does not mind being second to Jesus because He knows that makes me a better friend and wife to him! In this generation, we Christians all are "standing 4 Jesus"! Sometimes that is all we can do is stand, watch and wait for His gory to be revealed in our situations. Our culture in 2009 will throw up a lot of road blocks to the goals and dreams God has written on our hearts. We need to desire to learn to STAND, because in our all and everything Jesus is worth it and those we love and what He has told us to do is worth the fight to STAND, not giving up any ground to our enemy! STAND!!!

"Stand still" - keep the posture of an upright man, ready for action, expecting further orders, cheerfully and patiently awaiting the directing voice; and it will not be long ere God shall say to you, as distinctly as Moses said it to the people of Israel, "Go forward."

SUDDEN ROAD BLOCKS!

I think our enemy deliberately throws up road blocks, stumbling blocks in our life path! Our day starts out like every day as we "Grow 2 Go" with Jesus, following after the goals, visions, dreams He has given us ! Daily we walk our life path our Father God has laid out for us to achieve the providence He has placed in our hearts. With Jesus, Our Heavenly Father and the Holy Spirit…we are Destined To Win! Life happens as we continue to keep pace with Jesus, carefully placing our heels in His footprints as He always goes before us making the way smooth for us! Yet, our enemy wants to cut into the pace we have set as we are Holy Aligned with Jesus day by day, stepping out on our life-path one foot at a time! God is good! Life is good! Until suddenly… A ROAD BLOCK!!

To wait open-endedly is an enormously radical attitude toward life. So is to trust that something will happen to us that is far beyond our imaginings. So, too, is giving up control over our future and letting God define our life, trusting that God moulds us according to God's love and not according to our fear. The spiritual life is a life in which we wait, actively present to the moment, trusting that new things will happen to us, new things that are far beyond our own imagination, fantasy, or prediction. That, indeed, is a very radical stance toward life in a world preoccupied with control.

INTERUPPTED LIFE PACE!

WHAM!!! A Sudden Road Block! Oh it hurts when you slam into those divisively placed obstructions! Ouch! That Hurt! Then confusion comes, you lurch out of your destined God pace. Whoa! Where did that come from? Totally Blocked! What now! You can see Jesus ahead, you can see the next step, but your circumstances block you taking it. So what now? The enemy schemes how to turn that Road Block into a Stumbling Block as he taunts you with frustration, anger, discouragement, disappointment, fear, anxiety, independence and will try to get you to follow him down one of the above "bunny trails" that always lead to some kind of dead end: depression, despair, despondency, dysfunction… the dead end enemy death-wish list goes on….

Beloved, I say, let your fears go, lest they make you fainthearted. Stop inspiring fear in those around you and now take your stand in faith. God has been good and He will continue to manifest His goodness........ Let us approach these days expecting to see the goodness of the Lord manifest. Let us be strong and of good courage, for the Lord will fight for us if we stand in faith.

HOPING HUGE FOR MY FAMILY!

It is my hope and prayer for this family as we begin 2009 that we will learn to STAND!

1^st     Road Block:WHAM! There It Is, Blocking! Recognize It! Hold Your Ground!

2^nd    Don't Listen To The Enemy! Turn Your Ears Upward To God, His Holy Spirit, His Word!

3^rd    Recognize The Battle Is Not Yours! Fully Engage Jesus, The Commander! Pray!

4^th    Stop, Listen, Do Everything He Tells You To Do! Be His Soldier of Submission!

5^th    Stand! Fight To Hold Your Ground With The Promises Of God! Stand! Sword In Hand!

6^th    Wait Actively In Faith, Trust And Endure As Jesus Fights The Fight.

7^th    STAND! Don't Give Up Any Ground. Until He Removes The Obstacle! PRAISE HIM!

Give to us clear vision that we may know where to stand and what to stand for -- because unless we stand for something, we shall fall for anything.

Pray For Your Family Members To Stand!

• Lord Jesus! I pray for me and my precious family, that with every Road Block that we suddenly find in our life-path this year of 2009, that we will STAND in Christ Jesus.
• Lord Jesus, cleanse this family of bad habits: impulsiveness, independence, isolation, fix it modes and cause us to put You FIRST and Stand upon Your Promises.
• I pray that we will be a family who is known for waiting upon You, and receiving Your Miraculous Provision!
• I pray that every Road Block in each life represented by this precious family will be REMOVED by the Hand of Almighty God through the Power Of Your Holy Spirit! Jesus Is Mighty To Save!
• Jesus, cause us to turn to You, that we might know of Your Saving Power, that we might be a family saturated in Your Might, Miracles and Provisions.
• Holy Spirit, teach us to STAND! Holy Spirit I pray that you would keep us from the "bunny trails" of our enemy. Ahhhh Lord God, may we never dead end! Keep us standing in faith, trust and belief.
• Jesus, Be the commander and chief of our Road Blocked Battles in 2009! Jesus, we submit ourselves to Your leadership, Your Wisdom, Your Way, Your Will, Your Truth, Your Hope! Jesus! So Be It!
• Father God, be the Almighty Lifter of our heads so we don't see the Road Block as much as the possibilities available to us as we STAND and Wait upon Your Deliverance! FOCUS….JESUS!
• AHHHHH Lord God I pray that we will be a family with a living legacy of STANDING! WAITING! BELIEVING! TRUSTING! Jesus, may we STAND with an active faith, doing all that You prescribe and then STAND! STAND! Make it so Lord Jesus! AMEN!!
