Psalm 89: 19-22

Once You spoke in a vision to Your devoted ones and said, I have endowed one who is mighty [a hero, giving him the power to help--to be a champion for Israel]; I have exalted one chosen from among the people.20 I have found David My servant; with My holy oil have I anointed him, 21 With whom My hand shall be established and ever abide; My arm also shall strengthen him.22 The enemy shall not exact from him or do him violence or outwit him, nor shall the wicked afflict and humble him.

Developing My AWE-GOD With An Attitude Of Gratitude!

2012 AWE-GOD Gratefulness! I am so grateful today for the Sovereign Will of God, which is His Good Purpose to "grow me" through my current life season. I am thankful for the purposes of God in play in my life. I am grateful for every challenge He Sovereignty puts in my life path, with great preconceived and purposely designed Kingdom growth for me. Thank you Lord God, that everything in my life has your Master Touch of Kingdom Purpose on it. I am so grateful with every challenge there is Kingdom Purpose and with every "Divine Appointment" in this Sovereign season of my life, there is always Infinite Love that is present and active as I grow in Kingdom Purpose through the Sovereignty of my AWE-GOD!

Lord it is evident that Your Great Favor is lifting off the United States Of America. It is also evident that we don't deserve it as we continue to make decisions that are blatantly against Your Will, Your Way, Your Truth and Your Life. Please forgive us Lord Jesus, we are so sorry and we will do everything we can to fight for Your Truth, Your Way and Your Life to prevail. We will stand up for Your Truth when we vote in November 2012. This is all we can do and we will do it humbly and courageously as we STAND for you!

My heart just breaks for this country. I can imagine how God feels, can truly feel His heart. His purposes will be in play, He will win back this nation, the road to repentance will be difficulty and challenging for us all, but in the midst of the challenge there will be great God purpose in play and we have to constantly remind each other, we don't belong here, we do have a future and a hope! AWE-GOD!

We are truly moving into an era where it will feel like our faith is being crucified! The Power of the Cross of Jesus Christ will prevail and the chains will fall! Infinitely So!

I may change the question I ask some people. Usually we're thinking, "Do you know Jesus?" What if I ask, "Does Jesus know the real you?" How will that go over?

I think that is a great question! Don't you all think it cuts right through the "cultural religion presupposition" straight to relationship?

A good example is: People "culturally" think that if you are making "Godly" choices that you are "religious". They equate your "followship" of Jesus with religion, not relationship. Like… I don't usually go to "R" rated movies, because I feel the need to guard my heart from some things. People look at that and in our culture would say I am "religious", but truly I don't do that because of religion, I do it because of "relationship". It is something between God and me, something He has asked of me. He knows me and He knows R rated movies take my heart in places where I can't guard it.

I think that the culture we live in see's God as "religious" not "relational". Do you think that?

So yes Steve, this is a really good way to serve up our culture what they truly need "a relationship with Jesus" … not religion.

A Seasoned Servant Of God Has Encouraged Me Today

Anne Graham Lotz- Attracted to Weakness

It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God.

1 Corinthians 1:30, NIV

Who do you say you can't witness to because he or she is an intellectual, or highly educated, and you are not? Or maybe the person has a seminary degree and you have just started going to church. Remember, it was Joseph, a Hebrew teenager and slave, not the wise men of Egypt, who interpreted Pharaoh's dreams. It was another Hebrew slave, Daniel, not the wise men of Babylon, who deciphered the mysterious writing on the wall of Belshazzar's palace. It was the unlettered fishermen, not the Scribes and the Pharisees, who were taken into the confidence of Christ and used of God to build His church.

Do you feel inadequate intellectually, educationally, socially, theologically? Good! God can use you! He states clearly that He "chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things - and the things that are not - to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him" (1 Cor. 1:27-28, NIV). God is attracted to your weakness!

With whom My hand shall be established and ever abide; My arm also shall strengthen him. 22 The enemy shall not exact from him or do him violence or outwit him, nor shall the wicked afflict and humble him. 23 I will beat down his foes before his face and smite those who hate him. 24 My faithfulness and My mercy and loving-kindness shall be with him, and in My name shall his horn be exalted [great power and prosperity shall be conferred upon him]

Developing My AWE-GOD With An Attitude Of Gratitude!

Oh Lord, I am so thankful today for your faithfulness to me. I don't deserve it. I want with all my heart, to be faithful to YOU, in that ALL-IN kind of way YOU always are and have been to me. I feel discouraged when I stumble over my emotions and fall into inconsistency. Thank you for not giving up on me. Your constancy of being for me, with me and working in me, never waivers, even when I don't deserve it! I am so grateful for that constant-consistent faithfulness that YOU show me as you continue to shape me and mold me. I desire to have that moment to right choice 1st kind of faithfulness! Your faithfulness to me, it makes my heart desire burst with hope that I will one day be like YOU, being a consistent mirror image of Your faithfulness. I am grateful to read the Bible and see your faithfulness to the Father God, in every situation You faced, because it gives me a model to hope after! Thank you Jesus! I am so grateful to YOU, AWE-GOD!

Important Wisdom For Living Out Our Christian Life Found In The Bible

Basic-Instructions-Before-Leaving-Earth

Psalm 89

1 I WILL sing of the mercy and loving-kindness of the Lord forever; with my mouth will I make known Your faithfulness from generation to generation.2 For I have said, Mercy and loving-kindness shall be built up forever; Your faithfulness will You establish in the very heavens [unchangeable and perpetual].3 [You have said] I have made a covenant with My chosen one, I have sworn to David My servant,4 Your Seed I will establish forever, and I will build up your throne for all generations. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!

5 Let heaven (the angels) praise Your wonders, O Lord, Your faithfulness also in the assembly of the holy ones (the holy angels).6 For who in the heavens can be compared to the Lord? Who among the mighty [heavenly beings] can be likened to the Lord,7 A God greatly feared and revered in the council of the holy (angelic) ones, and to be feared and worshipfully revered above all those who are round about Him?8 O Lord God of hosts, who is a mighty one like unto You, O Lord? And Your faithfulness is round about You [an essential part of You at all times].9 You rule the raging of the sea; when its waves arise, You still them.10 You have broken Rahab (Egypt) in pieces; with Your mighty arm You have scattered Your enemies.11 The heavens are Yours, the earth also is Yours; the world and all that is in it, You have founded them.12 The north and the south, You have created them; Mount Tabor and Mount Hermon joyously praise Your name.13 You have a mighty arm; strong is Your hand, Your right hand is soaring high.

14 Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; mercy and loving-kindness and truth go before Your face.15 Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are the people who know the joyful sound [who understand and appreciate the spiritual blessings symbolized by the feasts]; they walk, O Lord, in the light and favor of Your countenance!16 In Your name they rejoice all the day, and in Your righteousness they are exalted.17 For You are the glory of their strength [their proud adornment], and by Your favor our horn is exalted and we walk with uplifted faces!18 For our shield belongs to the Lord, and our king to the Holy One of Israel.19 Once You spoke in a vision to Your devoted ones and said, I have endowed one who is mighty [a hero, giving him the power to help--to be a champion for Israel]; I have exalted one chosen from among the people.20 I have found David My servant; with My holy oil have I anointed him, 21 With whom My hand shall be established and ever abide; My arm also shall strengthen him.22 The enemy shall not exact from him or do him violence or outwit him, nor shall the wicked afflict and humble him.

23 I will beat down his foes before his face and smite those who hate him.24 My faithfulness and My mercy and loving-kindness shall be with him, and in My name shall his horn be exalted [great power and prosperity shall be conferred upon him].25 I will set his hand in control also on the [Mediterranean] Sea, and his right hand on the rivers [Euphrates with its tributaries].26 He shall cry to Me, You are my Father, my God, and the Rock of my salvation!27 Also I will make him the firstborn, the highest of the kings of the earth. 28 My mercy and loving-kindness will I keep for him forevermore, and My covenant shall stand fast and be faithful with him.29 His Offspring also will I make to endure forever, and his throne as the days of heaven. 30 If his children forsake My law and walk not in My ordinances,31 If they break or profane My statutes and keep not My commandments,32 Then will I punish their transgression with the rod [of chastisement], and their iniquity with stripes. 33 Nevertheless, My loving-kindness will I not break off from him, nor allow My faithfulness to fail [to lie and be false to him]. 34 My covenant will I not break or profane, nor alter the thing that is gone out of My lips. 35 Once [for all] have I sworn by My holiness, which cannot be violated; I will not lie to David:36 His Offspring shall endure forever, and his throne [shall continue] as the sun before Me. 37 It shall be established forever as the moon, the faithful witness in the heavens. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]! (Amplified Bible)

Worthy News Brief @worthyemail.com

Kimberly, give a good word!
Proverbs 12:25 Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression, But a good word makes it glad.
A friend writes: "My father did some pretty nasty things to me. But at the end of his life, as I kneeled by his bedside, I told him how thankful I was for every good thing he had done and every way he had blessed me, and there were many. We were good friends when he passed away." One of the greatest regrets you can avoid at the end of your life is the failure to praise others when they deserved it, (and even when they didn't).
But why is it that affirming words are so pitifully rare in our conversations, especially when so many many people are anxious, discouraged, and depressed by all the negativity in this life? We're living in a world that's constantly knocking us down, from cradle to grave. Is it any wonder that anxiety and depression are rampant at every age level?
But notice the advice that Solomon gives – a good word makes the heart glad. We should take this to heart. A compliment or blessing can be one of the greatest motivators, and can be truly life changing. And every one of us needs this kind of encouragement to run the race of this life.
Kimberly, let's be people of encouragement, looking for the word which will lift another person up and bring healing and hope to her soul. A good word will also do wonders for our own hearts.

You're No Surprise to God

Do you ever feel like God is disappointed with you? I used to feel this way until one day He said, "You know, Joyce, you're no surprise to Me. I knew what I was getting when I got you."

Think about it! God knows the end from the beginning, and all the days of our life are written in His book. Every decision we're ever going to make, good or bad, God already knew them before we ever showed up on planet earth. He already knows today every word in our mouth that is still unuttered, even what we're going to say a year from now.

Sometimes we go around thinking that God is so disappointed with us all the time. It's true that we make mistakes. And we're not supposed to be lighthearted about them, we need to take them seriously. But in spite of our mistakes, God has hope for us and knows that He can change us if we'll stay close to Him.

God's not disappointed. He's full of hope where we're concerned! He believes in us more than we do ourselves.

Prayer Starter: Lord, Your hope for me is so encouraging and inspiring. Even when I don't believe in myself, I know that You do, and that gives me the strength to overcome my mistakes and follow You.

My Thoughts About This = Miraculous Musings! J

I don't believe in myself at all. I am not faithful like HE is. I want to be, but my human condition keeps me on a roller coaster ride of sorts. Mostly my emotions are what I struggle with, they mess with me being constantly-consistently faithful to God in the all of my everything. Completely is what I hope for, being ALL-IN is my relational pursuit. My whole heart wants it. That is why when I do fall prey to these stupid emotions of mine, I pick myself right back up, and head for the goal again to be ALL-In. I know one day I will get there not because of me but because God is faithful.

Psalm 43

1 JUDGE and vindicate me, O God; plead and defend my cause against an ungodly nation. O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man!2 For You are the God of my strength [my Stronghold--in Whom I take refuge]; why have You cast me off? Why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?3 O send out Your light and Your truth, let them lead me; let them bring me to Your holy hill and to Your dwelling.4 Then will I go to the altar of God, to God, my exceeding joy; yes, with the lyre will I praise You, O God, my God!5 Why are you cast down, O my inner self? And why should you moan over me and be disquieted within me? Hope in God and wait expectantly for Him, for I shall yet praise Him, Who is the help of my [sad] countenance, and my God.

In All Situations, With Everyone And Everywhere God is my vindicator

Vindicator: Justifier; Maintainer Of Truth; Prover Of His Word; Defender; Correct With His Justice; Assert Truth; Supporter Of Justice; Claim Maker;

God is the defender of HIS calling

God is our vindicator and will deliver us from all deceit and deceitful people

Anything unjust will not stand- God will make it right. God is JUSTICE

My strength is found in God and no where else will if find it. Cling to God= Cling To Strength

Joyce Meyer: Promises for Your Everyday Life - a Daily Devotional

James 1:4 But let endurance and steadfastness and patience have full play and do a thorough work, so that you may be [people] perfectly and fully developed [with no defects], lacking in nothing.

When you and I say to God, "Change me," we better know what we're saying because we are not just going to wake up different the next morning. Instead, what God is going to do is give us an opportunity, through opposition, to grow as we change.

James 1 tells us how important it is to have patience when we're changing and facing opposition. Patience is a fruit of the Spirit that only develops and grows under trial, and it's something we need. Scripture tells us that when we have it, we're perfect and entire, lacking nothing. However, there's just no way to get it without going through something to receive it.

If we really want to be victorious Christians who serve God and make a difference in the world, then we are going to have to go through some challenging things. The devil will try to scare you off, but God can see you through any challenge.

So today, choose to let God work through you, even in the face of opposition. As your patience grows and develops, you will step into a life of great victory.

Prayer Starter: Lord, I want You to change me, and I know that means I'll have to go through challenges. Give me Your strength to endure and be steadfast when I'm going through trials so I can have patience and be fully developed in Christ.

My Thoughts About This = Miraculous Musings! J

I really do believe that Jesus, with all my heart. I can see now, where I could not see before that in every great challenge, Your God purpose is greater still. Every time I face a challenge, I now look more for the God purpose in it than I focus on the challenge of it. You use everything in our lives to grow us in Kingdom things. Everything that You allow to touch our lives has great God Purpose. We are never without Your Purpose being dealt by the hand of Your Sovereign Will.

The God of All Comfort

A Seasoned Servant Of God Has Encouraged Me Today

Anne Graham Lotz

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ . . . who comforts us in all our tribulation.

2 Corinthians 1:3-4, NKJV

Medical studies have proven that worry attacks the central nervous system, the circulatory system, and the digestive system of our bodies. Charles Mayo, of the Mayo Clinic, said, "You can worry yourself to death, but you cannot worry yourself to a longer life."

Noah was exposed to such frightening experiences he could have worried himself to death; after all, he survived the equivalent of a nuclear holocaust. While Sunday school stories conjure up in our minds the picture of Noah as a quaint, folksy, old zookeeper with a plump, rosy-cheeked wife, he was in fact a very strong, courageous man of character and faith who could have been tremendously traumatized by the most violent catastrophe in history. Surely Noah knew the paralysis of fear and the total paranoia of worry. But he also knew by experience that the God of the storm is also the God of all comfort, able to calm his fears as he kept his faith in God and his focus on God.

Blessings, Anne Graham Lotz AnGeL Ministries Website

My Thoughts About This = Miraculous Musings! J

Emotions…….Urrrrrrgggggggggg! I think they are the paralysis! Fear is the motivator, but emotions paralyze us, distract us, detract us in so many ways. I say us, but I mean me. If anyone should have been paralyzed by fear it was Noah. God drowned the whole earth… can you imagine that. I get fearful in a thunderstorm when it is bad! I just feel like I need to get it together. Times are looking rough, it may not go as our kind of well for us in the future, but we do have a great future and hope. I need to learn not to let my emotions distract me from God's purposes in play and the great future I do have. I need to settle it in my soul, God's Got This!!

Choose Your Battles

"Whoever corrects a mocker invites insult; whoever rebukes a wicked man incurs abuse" (Proverbs 9:7).

We all have a limited amount of time and energy. Wisdom says to spend them both on productive people, not destructive ones. Verbal sparring with a proud person only invites insult. It is better to ignore their venomous venting than try to reason with them. Do your best, stay focused on the task, and trust your reputation with the giver of reputations—your Savior Jesus.

Mockers look to stir things up in the moment. They have no long-term solutions, so avoid their cynical, crazy cycle. A mocker's mind is already made up; he will not change regardless of wise rationale. There are those who return evil for good so do not go there or you may end up in despair. Jesus says the caustic cynic is full of pride.

"Let them alone; they are blind guides of the blind. And if a blind man guides a blind man, both will fall into a pit" (Matthew 15:14 NASB).

What about a family member who seems to be hurtling down a path of destruction? Specifically, you may have a teenager or adult child whose entire focus is friends and freedom. They seem to have rejected all common sense and Christ-like influence. First and foremost, focus on their heart with love and acceptance. If you battle over the external, it will be messy and costly. However, if they change from the inside out, the transformation will be beautiful and enduring.

Ask them to pray, asking the Lord what He thinks about their decisions and choice of friends. Direct them back to Scripture as their Savior's standard for living. Above all, pursue a peaceful and patient attitude in prayer. Our most significant battles are spiritual; they are won or lost on our knees. The Holy Spirit will lead you when to speak, what to say, and when to remain silent. Everyone wins when you value the relationship over winning the argument.

"Do not rebuke a mocker or he will hate you; rebuke a wise man and he will love you" (Proverbs 9:8).

Prayer: What relationship do I need to quit striving over and give to the Lord?

Graced Again! leadership wisdom from Ron edmondston

http://www.ronedmondson.com/2012/06/most-dangerous-leadership-traits.html

There are no perfect leaders…except for Jesus. For the rest of us, we each have room for improvement. Most of us live with flaws in our leadership. Good leaders learn to surround themselves with people who can supplement their weaknesses.

There are, however, some leadership traits, which a leader can never delegate away. If the leader can't work through them, in my opinion, his or her leadership will be crippled. With these traits, the best the leader has to offer will never fully materialize.

These leadership traits will eventually wreck a leader's success.

Here are 8 dangerous leadership traits:

Immoral character – If the leader's character is flawed, the leadership will be flawed. A leader can never escape the quality of his or her heart.

Assuming everyone's support – Leaders seldom hear the complete story unless they pursue it. Environments have to be created that produce transparency and honesty. Even in the healthiest organizations there will always be things a leader doesn't know.

Assuming everyone understands – In my experience, most leaders think they are communicating effectively. What's clear to them they assume is clear to others. It's usually not as clear as the leader thinks. Good leaders ask lots of questions to identify the level of clarity.

Continually avoiding conflict – Conflict never, ever, ever, goes away. Ever. Unresolved conflict damages the strength and integrity of organizational health. It may get ignored, overlooked, or stifled, but until conflict is dealt with it continues to stir strife in an organization.

Pretending to have all the answers – The less a leader listens to others, the less willing others will desire to help the leader succeed. Arrogant leaders never attract the best from people. Great leaders invite input, knowing that with more people involved, decisions will be stronger and more buy-in will be achieved.

Allowing friendship to derail progress - Great leaders value relationships and recognize friendships with others as an important part of their personal well-being. At the same time, some leaders fail to separate their friendships from their callings as leaders. They confuse loyalty as a friend from their responsibility as a leader. A leader cannot allow personal friendships to negatively alter the course to success.

Refusing to let go of control – When the leader doesn't delegate, he or she stifles the growth of the organization. Healthy delegation involves releasing authority over a project. If a leader continually maintains the right to control, the organization will be limited to his or her abilities, rather than the strength of the team.

Living in the past – Unless you're a teacher of history, the leader's primary focus needs to be on the future. Leadership is about moving things forward. That requires progressive thinking, welcoming change, and refusing to let past failures determine future success.

Be honest, of which of these are you most guilty? As difficult as it may be, until you push through them and improve in that area, you'll never experience the leadership success you desire.

What leadership trait would you add that must be overcome?

My Thoughts About This = Miraculous Musings! J

1st I wanted to say thank you! I am really learning and growing from these blog posts and I am grateful. 2nd is the leadership trait you need to overcome. Not stopping to celebrate and be grateful. We plan everything into our vision and our goals, except celebration. We evaluate which leans toward the negative but we don't take time to celebrate the positive of what God did. We move too quickly to the "next big thing"! If you notice in the bible, God always bookends each season. He leads the way with worship and He bookends the season with Praise-Celebration. The lack of celebration dumbs down the development of our AWE of God as leaders, which I believe a lot of GOD-gifts flow out of AWE! We miss out when we don't celebrate as leaders!

The one I need to work on the most is conflict… I hate conflict… I avoid it like a plague, yet it still infects my leadership as I saw in your God wisdom today… what goes around comes around until you break the circle… Oh Lord… help me grow in this!

Developing My AWE-GOD With An Attitude Of Gratitude!

2012 AWE-GOD Gratefulness! I am so grateful today for a God like ours WHO always makes a way of escape for us. We can have those pesky suddenly attacks that bring the temptation to be discouraged, tempt us to be dissatisfied and are designed to stir up doubt. BUT GOD, no matter how many suddenly things pop up in our lives, I am so thankful that God has creatively and purposefully made a way for us to endure them until they serve HIS good purpose in our lives and then create His own miraculous moment out of them. He is so good at that. I am grateful today for His Sovereign purpose that is always accompanied by the Way of His Great Love and always works for our good! AWE-GOD!

M.eet!

Lord, Holy Spirit, please meet with me in Philippians Two today and speak to my heart. Change me. Mold me. Shape Me. Speak to me that which is not easily seen or discerned, speak to me YOUR heart Jesus! I pray that these precepts in Philippians will be shaped to my personality. May my personality look like YOUR Word! Jesus!

E.xamine!

3  Do nothing from factional motives [through contentiousness, strife, selfishness, or for unworthy ends] or prompted by conceit and empty arrogance. Instead, in the true spirit of humility (lowliness of mind) let each regard the others as better than and superior to himself [thinking more highly of one another than you do of yourselves].4  Let each of you esteem and look upon and be concerned for not [merely] his own interests, but also each for the interests of others

A.pply!

The word motives jumps out at me right now. Doing is always fueled by a motive. When you take an action and do something, there is always a heart motive. Sometimes I am oblivious to my heart motive, especially if I am in a hurry or if what I am doing is all about me.

Factional: a party or group (as within a government) that is often contentious or self-seeking

  • Could that also mean that sometimes we do things not motivated by our heart but by the cause of someone else. Factional also implies it might mean contentious or self seeking.
  • My motives should never have self seeking attached to them.
  • Empty arrogance! What a great way to describe arrogance. Arrogance is truly vacant of all things Godly. Phil 2:3
  • Don't be prompted by selfish conceit or another way to say that is impelled by selfish prideful motives. What am I pursuing right now? Am I in touch with the heart motive for this pursuit?
  • If I am going to live my life from the inside out, the 1st stop of evaluating every action should be my heart motive. Why am I doing this? Is my motive pure?
  • Esteeming Others! Does what I choose to do value, look out for the interests of others? What is my heart motive?
  • True Spirit Of Humility! What is it? What makes it true? The heart motive!
  • Meekness is a motive that begins in the heart 1st! Before humility it is ever an action, it has saturated your soul and filled your mind with thoughts of pleasing others 1st over yourself.

L.ist!

Lord Jesus, my motives really, really matter. Help me be more aware of them. Shape them into Your characteristics.

Lord purify my motives in Your humility and create a lowliness of mind, where I am thinking JOY= Jesus 1st Others 2nd You (me) last.

Lord cause me to esteem others over myself, to place a high value on them from my heart motive to my actions.

Help me to always evaluate my pursuits by checking my heart motive and making sure it is aligned with YOUR Heart passion.

Lord I pray that selfish pride never enters into my life through my heart motives. Keep my heart guarded with Your Word.

YOU VERSION NOTE – GOD INSPIRED- GOD WRITTEN

Heart Motives Matter

http://www.youversion.com/notes/6912928

Philippians 2:3 Do nothing from factional motives [through contentiousness, strife, selfishness, or for unworthy ends] or prompted by conceit and empty arrogance. Instead, in the true spirit of humility (lowliness of mind) let each regard the others as better than and superior to himself [thinking more highly of one another than you do of yourselves].4 Let each of you esteem and look upon and be concerned for not [merely] his own interests, but also each for the interests of others.

The word "motive" jumps right out of this verse at me right now. I know I do not pay enough attention to my heart motive and for someone who is supposed to live from the inside out, this is not a good evaluation! My heart motives affect my actions with either selflessness or selfishness. Selflessness is a supernatural trait that flows in my life when I have surrendered myself completely to God; selfishness is a human condition that I truly do not want to feed my flesh with.

I realize that my outward doing is always fueled by an inner motive. Why am I not more aware of my motives? Because in light of this scripture, I can see that they really, really do matter! When I take an action to do something, there is always a heart motive in play. This brings up another question to the forefront of my mind and that is: Are God's Kingdom Purposes In Play In My Heart Motives?

Sometimes I am oblivious to my heart motive, especially if I am in a hurry that is being motivated by impulsiveness. Impulsive actions are always masking a hidden heart motive. All the times I have been oblivious and have blocked out my heart motives, is usually because what I am doing is all about me and what I want. My pride helps me block out my heart motive, because my selfishness is always contentiously seeking to satisfy my flesh. Before I act, it really matters that I check my heart motives before I act on them, to make sure there is nothing self seeking attached to them.

I don't want to be prompted by selfish conceit or another way to say that is impelled by selfish-prideful motives. I want to be compelled by the Love of God. Empty Arrogance! What a great way to describe our arrogant motives! Arrogance is truly a motive that is vacant of all things Godly in characteristic!

What are the things my actions are pursuing right now? Am I in touch with the heart motive for the pursuits I am acting on? My heart motive matters! If I am going to live my life from the inside out, the 1st stop of evaluation for every action should be my heart motive. Why am I doing this? Is my heart motive pure? It matters!

Esteeming Others Comes From A Pure Heart Motive! Does what I choose to do value, look out for the interests of others? What is my heart motive?

True Spirit Of Humility! What is it? What makes it true? The heart motive does! Someone can look like they are being humble in their actions, but have a totally different heart motive. Our heart motives need to be Holy Aligned with God's Truth. A pure heart motive matters. A heart motive set in the fullness of truth matters!

Meekness is a motive that begins in the heart 1st! Before humility is ever an action, it has saturated your soul and filled your mind with thoughts of pleasing others 1st over yourself. Therefore, you act out the meekness that is already set in your heart, already a mind set in your thoughts.

Flattery is an example of a heart motive that is not pure! I think the best compliments are encouragements that come from a heart motive that is aligned with God's Purposes. When your heart motive is selfish and does not truthfully line up with the words spoken, I believe this is flattery. Encouragement and flattery have two different sources. I try to keep my motives pure, in holy alignment with God's Purposes, so I speak His encouragement and never give way to flattery that has selfish motives.

Motives matter because truth brings life into relationships. Our words have to align with our motives in order for us to walk in the fullness of truth. Christianize is words spoken with heart motives that do not have the same heart attitude as the words spoken. This dysfunctional action will not bring life, but death into a situation or relationship. Never say something you don't mean in order to soften the blow of a hidden truth that you do mean!

How are we freed in relationships with each other? The fullness of truth! How do we not hurt one another? We speak the fullness of truth where our heart motives line up with our spoken words in holy alignment with God's character, purpose and way.

Jesus, I hope you lead me by Your Holy Spirit, so I am continuously untainted by the world, pure in heart, sincere in spiritual motive, unerring in choice, blameless in behavior, pure in character and always having a reputation that is unsullied by this world. My heart motives matter. Everything begins with my heart attitude that is translated into motive 1st, and then thoughts and actions! Lord please guard my heart!

I hope my motives will always be selfless, pure and truth led. I want to welcome the fullness of God's truth into my heart motives every day.

I pray for all of us Jesus, that we encourage each other by motives untainted by selfishness. Keep our heart motives pure-unerring in Godly Character. Let our heart motives always lead us to having a reputation that is unsullied by our human condition. Heart Motives Matter! Holy Spirit, keep us in touch with our heart motives! Tall Order - BIG GOD! Hoping huge in God today for all of us. AWE-GOD!

Meditate On It! Roll It Over In Your Mind!

Philippians 2: 13 [Not in your own strength] for it is God Who is all the while effectually at work in you [energizing and creating in you the power and desire], both to will and to work for His good pleasure and satisfaction and delight. 14 Do all things without grumbling and faultfinding and complaining [against God] and questioning and doubting [among yourselves], 15 That you may show yourselves to be blameless and guileless, innocent and uncontaminated, children of God without blemish (faultless, unrebukable) in the midst of a crooked and wicked generation [spiritually perverted and perverse], among whom you are seen as bright lights (stars or beacons shining out clearly) in the [dark] world

My own strength is usually will power that does not outlast my challenge

God-power is found in my complete dependence on HIM

God's purposes are always in play in my life- they take longer to bloom in His goodness when my will is bucked up!

God effectually works in me through His purposes in play in my life

It is all about God, it is all about HIM working in me, therefore I lay down my will, my way and be found ALL-In With God!

God delights in creating passion in me for His Kingdom purposes

God satisfaction comes when I depend fully upon the strength of my AWE-GOD

All-IN with God means no, absolutely NO grumbling

When I am faultfinding, I am not all in with God's compassionate heart

When I am complaining, I am truly walking in the frustration of leaning on my own strength

Questioning God starts when I lean on my own understanding and strength and it ends when I find the position of being ALL-IN with AWE-GOD

Holiness is contaminated by doubt and unbelief

The innocence of faith is nurtured by complete surrender, being All-IN with AWE-GOD

When am I blameless? When I am All-IN with AWE-GOD; completely surrendered

Guileless is the state of being constantly connected, in Holy Alignment with God's character

Without blemish! The Bride of Christ Spotless! With God, In Holy Alliance With His Purity, this can be so!

God wants us to be unrebukable in every facet of our lives. Constantly-Consistently making the right choice the 1st time. Let this be our pursuit instead of winning trophies and titles that tarnish and rust! Shine Brightly Today From Each Moment To Every Choice! Glow God's Glory!

In the midst, in the middle of, surrounded by a crooked and wicked generation and this is right where God plants and blooms us in His Glory!

Perversion is even dark in the natural sunlight, but can be blanched by the supernatural Glory Glow of God's people! Shine!

Be a bright light today as you SHINE God's Glory in every thought, action, motive and word. Shatter the darkness with His Light!

Putting The Word To Work By Joyce Meyer

Do you ever wonder if your life as a Christian makes a difference to those around you? The Bible teaches that it certainly does! In Philippians 2:14,15, Paul says that just as stars brightly shine against the dark of night, so our lives as Christians shine like light in the spiritual darkness of the world. Ask God to help you shine brightly with His love and joy to those around you.

Pursue a Life of Holiness

1 Peter 1:15 But as the One Who called you is holy, you yourselves also be holy in all your conduct and manner of living.

I think we need to be a little more careful than we are with how we live. Not that we have to be so careful that we live in fear, but careful in a godly way, not a legalistic way.

Because if we're not careful about who our friends are, what television programs and movies we watch, what kind of books we read, what kind of music we listen to, how we spend our money, and what we do with our time, we could end up living wasted lives.

As Christians, we must pursue holiness and realize that we are sanctified, which means we are set apart for God's use. In fact, the minute we accept Christ as our Savior, we are sanctified by the Holy Spirit and set apart for a God-given purpose. And if we're not fulfilling our purpose or if we're not pursuing our purpose, we're going to feel empty and frustrated.

I urge you today to pursue your purpose of holiness. When faced with tricky decisions, ask God what to do and choose the path of holiness that He has laid out for you.

Prayer Starter: Holy Spirit, alert me before I do something that would pull me away from a life of holiness. With Your guidance, I want to live carefully, following the path of holiness You have for me.

My Thoughts About This = Miraculous Musings! J

Holiness needs to be a higher priority for me. Pursue means to chase after. What are the things I am chasing after in my life and are they in holy alignment with God's will and way? Respect for the Holiness of God is honoring the God-Presence in me. God lives in me! What does that say about my standard of holiness?

Don't let your emotions make your decisions. Joyce Meyer

God has won. HIS Truth prevailed. Always speak it! There is power in the Truth. It can stand on its own. Speak it in love and love the recipient of it. We don't have to prove it. God already did that. We just speak it, always and forever, we stand and speak God's truth. Truth is Truth. Whether received or rejected it is still... TRUTH! You don't have to agree to disagree about TRUTH. Truth is! You agree to disagree because of LOVE, and you stand in the truth that has already WON, already been proven to be TRUE.

People who can't accept God's truth usually come down to saying this:
"We have to agree to disagree on this" I usually say. No, there is no disagreement with God's truth for me. God's Truth Has Already Won – It Has Been Proven. So I don't agree to disagree on God's Truth. I don't have to prove it to you, He will. But, I do agree to disagree with you because of God's Love, because I know I can't prove His Truth to you, but He can, so I am letting go, letting God and loving you!

Your calling… God's got that. It belongs to HIM. The GOD of the universe, the ONE WHO created everything and every one. Your calling… He will equip you for it with everything you need. You will work hard with His excellence. Why? Because you are called to HIM1st!

Important Wisdom For Living Out Our Christian Life Found In The Bible

Basic-Instructions-Before-Leaving-Earth

Give them their true title: Deceiver! Antichrist!

1 John 1: 8-9 And be very careful around them so you don't lose out on what we've worked so diligently in together; I want you to get every reward you have coming to you. Anyone who gets so progressive in his thinking that he walks out on the teaching of Christ, walks out on God. But whoever stays with the teaching, stays faithful to both the Father and the Son. 10-11 If anyone shows up who doesn't hold to this teaching, don't invite him in and give him the run of the place. That would just give him a platform to perpetuate his evil ways, making you his partner.

Colossians 4 ~ The Amplified Bible

5 Behave yourselves wisely [living prudently and with discretion] in your relations with those of the outside world (the non-Christians), making the very most of the time and seizing (buying up) the opportunity. 6 Let your speech at all times be gracious (pleasant and winsome), seasoned [as it were] with salt, [so that you may never be at a loss] to know how you ought to answer anyone [who puts a question to you].

But you shall be called Hephzibah [My delight is in her], and your land be called Beulah [married]; for the Lord delights in you, and your land shall be married [owned and protected by the Lord].5 For as a young man marries a virgin [O Jerusalem], so shall your sons marry you; and as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so shall your God rejoice over you.

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome

  • God is in our lives now and until and through forever. His thoughts, His plans for us are as infinite as His Love for us
  • When God says He loves us, it is with a forever love and His commitment is sealed with a forever peace.
  • God loves us and looks out for our welfare today, tomorrow and forever. His thoughts and plans for us are HUGE and as deep as they are wide!

2 Samuel 22:33-34

God is my strong Fortress; He guides the blameless in His way and sets him free.34 He makes my feet like the hinds' [firm and able]; He sets me secure and confident upon the heights.

  • Forever a fortress! #AWE-GOD He guides us, He is our Way-Maker from now to tomorrow unto forever.
  • God is our forever security and we can constantly and consistently put our trust in HIM

Proverbs 4:20-27

My son, attend to my words; consent and submit to my sayings. 21 Let them not depart from your sight; keep them in the center of your heart. 22 For they are life to those who find them, healing and health to all their flesh. 23 Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard, for out of it flow the springs of life. 24 Put away from you false and dishonest speech, and willful and contrary talk put far from you. 25 Let your eyes look right on [with fixed purpose], and let your gaze be straight before you. 26 Consider well the path of your feet, and let all your ways be established and ordered alright. 27 Turn not aside to the right hand or to the left; remove your foot from evil.

  • God's Word is able to keep us forever. Our commitment to His Word needs to be a forever commitment.
  • Keeping God's Word at the center of our heart is vital as we let it wash our soul and saturate us with Kingdom Attitudes!

This was a sad conversation I had on Twitter where a "Christian" was spouting out in judgement against another Christian, wanting everyone to unfollow them, the conversation started with them saying they did not want their name associated with them, such arrogance…. Oh Where Is The Bride Of Christ? At the end of the conversation @psTruth4u publically blocks me and says I am not following after God…. And this is the love of the Bride of Christ…. Jesus, I pray You bring the Bride of Christ, all of us to the place we need to be in YOU. How can we reach the lost when we can't even carry on a conversation on twitter without arrogance, pride and ugliness?

@psTRUTH4U Your arrogance is pride and pride goes before a fall...the beam in your eye blocks the passion of GOD's Heart

@psTRUTH4U Oh Yes, they do have a heart problem, sheep in wolves clothing.. but so do we, we have not arrived either, we NEED God, they do2

@psTRUTH4U Jesus was not arrogant in any way towards those that betrayed HIM, He was constantly reaching for them, showing them the Father

@psTRUTH4U Jesus knew Judas was a wolf in sheeps clothing, yet He kept him at the table during the most intimate of times...

@psTRUTH4U If we shun them, if we act arrogantly among them, like we are better than them, we will fall by our pride. We ALL are sinners

@psTRUTH4U Do you think God can't handle sheep in wolves clothing? Do you think He can't reach them? He can and He does it through us

@psTRUTH4U Jesus still reaches for them and will until their last breathe. He loves them, He loved Judas

@psTRUTH4U Jesus never rejected anyone at anytime. In humility he died for all... including the wolves in sheeps clothing

@psTRUTH4U Those who preach against the truth are LOST-very lost. They need Jesus. His heart breaks for them- I will shine His LIGHT to them

@psTRUTH4U I don't follow a false prophet, I follow Jesus, I act like HE acted. I am no better than a sinner. I need Jesus, they need Jesus

@psTRUTH4U In context that verse says: ......don't invite him in and give him the run of the place... His Truth- His Light shines out of me

@psTRUTH4U Jesus was among the sinners. He modeled that. He told us to GO out there, share the gospel be light. I partner with HIM

A Seasoned Servant Of God Has Encouraged Me Today

A Seasoned Servant Of God Has Encouraged Me Today

Pastor Elliott Osowitt

3 John 1:5-8
5 Dear friend, you are showing your faith by whatever you do for the brothers, and this [you are doing] for strangers;
6 they have testified to your love before the church. You will do well to send them on their journey in a manner worthy of God,
7 since they set out for the sake of the name, accepting nothing from pagans.
8 Therefore, we ought to support such men, so that we can be co-workers with the truth.

Dear Bob and Kim, please don't take this wrong, but I believe everyone loves to have someone speak well of him or her. I do.  It can be an encouragement and healthy as long as we don't take the credit away from the true source and let the compliment go to our heads.  In this scripture, John is writing to Gaius, a man who consistently lives his faith. He follows the teaching of his Lord Jesus Christ in all areas of his life. He is not just a "Sunday-Go-To-Church" Christian.

Today, be on the lookout for a stranger whom God may send across your path. He will not look like the people in your church. He may have darker skin than yours. He may not talk with the same accent as you. It may be a divine appointment and a test. Exercise your faith beyond people like yourself.

In our day and generation, some of the greatest missionaries are Chinese, Korean, Mongolian and African. They are dying for the faith. They are suffering for the cause of Christ. They are winning souls for the Kingdom of God and most of them receive no financial support for their effort. When they do receive finances they spend it on widows and orphans in their villages and in the country side. . "You will do well to send them on their journey in a manner worthy of God, since they set out for the sake of the name, accepting nothing from pagans.  Therefore, we ought to support such men, so that we can be co-workers with the truth."

If you already are a supporter of a missionary, then prayerfully consider if you are giving as much as you really can.  Love the people who cross your path today. Give yourself to the cause of Jesus today. Take up your cross and follow HIM.

Pastor Elliott

My Thoughts About This = Miraculous Musings! J

Great Challenge! Thank you! I will be aware today of every divine appointment. I think the best compliments are encouragements that come from a heart motive that is aligned with God's purposes. When your heart motive is selfish and does not truthfully line up with the words spoken, I believe this is flattery. Encouragement and flattery have two different sources. I try to keep my motives pure, in holy alignment with God's purposes so I speak His encouragement and never give way to flattery that has selfish motive.

Worthy News Brief @worthyemail.com

For those of us who are walking with the Lord today, be encouraged! Our enemy knows that we have potential to do great things for God, and out of fear, he'll try anything to take us out. This is so very evident by the constant battle we all face.

Kimberly, Let's stand strong against the devil today! And rise up to the Lord's calling upon our lives! We will fight and we will WIN! Because if God is for us, who can be against us?!

Developing My AWE-GOD With An Attitude Of Gratitude!

Awe-GOD Gratefulness 2012! I am filled with gratefulness for my Way-Maker. The way He makes for me is always nothing short of miraculous. I still can't believe how He manages to turn every mess I make into a message. I don't deserve His amazing Way-Making and at times it truly humbles me. I am grateful for a Way-Maker Who does things in ways I could not even hope for or imagine. His timing is perfect, His way is full of abundance and His miracles are AWE-Inspiring. Every way He makes for me, leads me to a huge thankfulness, a heart overfilled with AWE. Thank you Way-Maker! I am grateful for you AWE-GOD!

Joyce Meyer: Promises for Your Everyday Life - a Daily Devotional

Philippians 3:12

Not that I have now attained [this ideal], or have already been made perfect, but I press on to lay hold of (grasp) and make my own, that for which Christ Jesus (the Messiah) has laid hold of me and made me His own.

God Knows We Can't Be Perfect

There are many people who are so afraid of making a mistake that they don't do anything. Instead, they sit around saying, "What if I'm wrong? What if I miss God?"

Do you know what God told me one time? He said, "If you miss me, I'll find you."

If we are wandering off somewhere and not sure where we are, we can just lift up our hands and say, "Jesus, come and get me! I'm confused. I think I made a wrong decision."

God knows we cannot be perfect, so He sent His son as a perfect sacrifice for us. Now we're pressing toward the mark of perfection. In Philippians 3, the apostle talks about pressing forward to what lies ahead and forgetting about the past.

God is calling you to press forward today. Stop living in fear of making mistakes, because everyone makes mistakes, period. God is not asking you to not make mistakes. He's calling you to press forward, trusting Him to lead you. He's asking you to call upon Him. Don't live in fear of your imperfection. Live with faith in God's perfect plan for you.

Prayer Starter: God, I don't want to live paralyzed by fear of my imperfection and my mistakes. I know that instead, I can call out to You, and You will help me press forward to the mark of perfection.

(Does the situation you are in feel cold as ice? Hmmmmmmmm Let God! May the Hidden Fire of His Holy Spirit Glow within You! Hoping Huge in AWE-GOD today… Kimberlymac)

Those who know nothing of the spiritual life declare that it is impossible to experience real peace and heavenly joy in this grief-stricken world. But those who have experience of the spiritual life know that just as one finds here and there in the midst of the ice fields of the polar regions flowing streams of hot water, so in the midst of this cold and sorrow-laden world there are to be found flowing in the hearts of believers restful streams of heavenly peace, for the hidden fire of the Holy Spirit glows within them.

Graced Again! leadership wisdom from Ron edmondston

Here are 7 ways I protect my Sabbath:

Recognize the value – I have to realize there is a reason to observe a Sabbath. It's almost like God knew what He was doing. If I value it enough, I'll make it a priority. The value of a Sabbath is not only for myself, but it aligns me with God's design for mankind. "On the 7th day He rested". Have you read that somewhere? We were created with a need for the Sabbath. That makes it valuable.

Make it a priority – Not only do I value the importance, but I make it a priority in my week. As important as any other day, my Sabbath is a must do part of my week. A Sabbath is good for the pastor, the pastor's family and the church. That's worth prioritizing.

Place it on the calendar – The Sabbath needs to be planned in advance. If you think it's going to happen when you "catch up", you'll never take a Sabbath. Depending on the size of your staff or the demands of your church, your day may not be the same as mine, but you choose a day that works best and calendar it regularly.

Trust others – One of the leading reasons I hear for pastors not taking a day off is that they don't have anyone who can handle their responsibilities. This is especially true in churches where the pastor is the only staff member. Regardless of staff size, pastors need to surround themselves with some healthy people and take a risk on them. I delegate well so that when I'm gone I know things will continue to operate efficiently. Ultimately, however, when I honor my Sabbath I'm demonstrating that I trust God. After all, the plan was His idea.

Discipline myself – I just do it. I make myself take a day off. (You should consider this discipline!) Now, here's the hard part of that. In addition to saying "Yes" to yourself, you have to discipline yourself to say "No" to others. Without a doubt, if you try to protect a day there will be multiple invitations, seemingly good opportunities, and non-emergency interruptions. It will happen. You'll have to continually help others (and yourself) understand the value in this discipline. It's part of being a healthy pastor. And, I assume, most churches want that. Frankly some will never understand the value in your Sabbath (even if they see the value for themselves), but they will also be the first one to complain if you aren't performing at your best in other areas of your ministry.

Prepare for it – I have to work hard prior to a Sabbath so I can comfortably take it without reservation. That means I handle any details I can in advance. Whether a pastor works five or six days a week, (I personally work 6) it is important to work hard and smart enough where there is no guilt in taking your deserved and commanded sabbath. Not trying to be cruel here, but if you are not finding time to take a Sabbath, it could be a planning and organizational problem as much as it is a demand of your time problem.

Learn to enjoy -Some pastors, like me, are not wired for a Sabbath. I realize some people have no problem taking a day off, but I honestly would work seven days straight if no one stopped me. There's always plenty to do. I've learned, however, that I function better the other 6 days if I have one day that I'm not working. It's been a challenge to maintain it, but I now truly look forward to the rest. It's proven to be as important for my wife as it is for me and when she's happy, I'm happy.

Now, please understand, there are no perfect plans. This works most of the time for me, but not all of the time. There are, of course, exceptions, interruptions, and Kingdom opportunities, which cause me to not be able to protect every Sabbath day. (Jesus had those too.) As much as is possible, however, I stick with this plan, and when it is interrupted, especially if it happens several weeks in a row, I will make up the time with some extra time away. I try to get my downtime back at some point. It's that important to me now.

Pastor, are you protecting your Sabbath? Be honest.

The strength and success of your ministry may depend on it.

Pastor, what tips do you have for helping some of my burned out pastor friends maintain a weekly Sabbath?

Bonus question: Pastor, do you have a plan for extended time a way…a Sabbatical of some form? Could you share what you do in this area to help the rest of us?

My Thoughts About This = Miraculous Musings! J

The point that hits me the most is that we don't value the Sabbath! Ouch! Ouch! So True! The Sabbath has taken a hit from this culture. I know for me it has been culturalized and I have to re-establish, settle it in my heart that the Sabbath has true "soul value"! Replenish! Deculturalize the Sabbath… I need to do this; I need to settle it that I need a regular Sabbath. I am called to online ministry in this season of my life and to keep the course of my call steady in Christ, I have to be called to Him 1st. Over the past few years, God has been speaking to me about re-establishing the Sabbath in my life, but today I feel it needs to take on consistency, because constancy proves value. I don't value the Sabbath enough. Thanks for speaking to my heart today! The heart of the gospel is change… I need to change this in my heart.

Thank you Lord God for the book of Philippians. Be with me Holy Spirit, teach me and change my heart as I grow through this time in this amazing book in the bible. I pray for Your heart that is displayed in this book to be mine. I pray for Your precepts to lead my way. I pray for Your hope to light up my soul as I "grow through" this incredible book of Philippians.

E.xamine!

1  PAUL AND Timothy, bond servants of Christ Jesus (the Messiah), to all the saints (God's consecrated people) in Christ Jesus who are at Philippi, with the bishops (overseers) and deacons (assistants):2  Grace (favor and blessing) to you and [heart] peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah).

A.pply!

A servant of the Messiah! I can't even begin to take that in. That is who I am. I serve Jesus Christ, the Messiah! Me, this so imperfect human being, He chose me. I will never understand God's Ways, but I will always be thankful for them. Heart peace is the greatest gift God could have ever given mankind. I am so grateful for it! #AWE-GOD

L.ist!

Jesus thank you for giving me heart peace, may I walk in it and use it up as I "grow through" this season of life!

I hope to be Your bond servant, forever. Guide my life, teach me how to serve like YOU did

I pray for Your Grace, Your Mercy To be in my life, saturate me with it, let me see and know Your heart of Mercy, that I might be a conduit of it!

E.xamine!

3  I thank my God in all my remembrance of you.4  In every prayer of mine I always make my entreaty and petition for you all with joy (delight).5  [I thank my God] for your fellowship (your sympathetic cooperation and contributions and partnership) in advancing the good news (the Gospel) from the first day [you heard it] until now (amplified bible)

A.pply!

I really believe that gratefulness for each other is the inspiration for unity. The more we are thankful 1st for the gifts that God has given each other, the stronger the unity. I pray we chose gratefulness 1st in every relationship, we are thanking God for the ways He is seen and experienced in others. Phil 1:3-5

L.ist!

Lord cause me to be thankful for each person around me. Help me to especially look for the God-Giftedness in them, because You have gifted each person.

Help me to encourage and bless the God I see in them through gratefulness.

May gratefulness and thanksgiving lead the way in every relationship I have. Jesus!

Help me to be like this Apostle was and be an exhorter of those around me, praying for them and being grateful for them

E.xamine!

6 And I am convinced and sure of this very thing, that He Who began a good work in you will continue until the day of Jesus Christ [right up to the time of His return], developing [that good work] and perfecting and bringing it to full completion in you.7 It is right and appropriate for me to have this confidence and feel this way about you all, because you have me in your heart and I hold you in my heart as partakers and sharers, one and all with me, of grace (God's unmerited favor and spiritual blessing). [This is true] both when I am shut up in prison and when I am out in the defense and confirmation of the good news (the Gospel).8 For God is my witness how I long for and pursue you all with love, in the tender mercy of Christ Jesus [Himself]!

A.pply!

Convinced is a key word here. It shows where the confidence needs to be when it comes to God changing me and other people. It needs to be in God, not in us or them.

Praying for others builds the confidence that God will change them, God will finish what He started in them.

When it comes to other people, our hope needs to be in God. He can change them and only He can change them.

The more we believe and hope in God, the stronger our confidence becomes

Hoping and believing in God begins with me laying down my expectations and fully facing my #AWE-GOD with total confidence in HIM

I need to get to that place Lord Jesus, where I am convinced that it is YOU Who can start and finish the work in me and in others. What a great place to be. Convinced!

I truly believe that being "convinced" begins with developing my AWE in God. The more I stand in AWE of God, the more convinced I will be that He can-He will! Develop Your AWE-GOD!

We need to pursue each other in love, in the tender mercy of Jesus. Wow! That is good! And will be even better when we act upon it.

L.ist!

I pray Your AWE will convince me Lord Jesus from every moment to every choice I chose a HUGE Hope in You.

Increase my faith Lord Jesus, that my every step is upon belief convinced by AWE of You.

Help me to let go of trying to "fix" others and be convinced in my heart, mind and soul that You've Got This – You Have Them!

Lord cause my heart to be so full of YOU, so full of Your heart passion that I pursue everyone in Your Love with Your tender mercy.

E.xamine!

VERSE 9 And this I pray: that your love may abound yet more and more and extend to its fullest development in knowledge and all keen insight [that your love may display itself in greater depth of acquaintance and more comprehensive discernment],10 So that you may surely learn to sense what is vital, and approve and prize what is excellent and of real value [recognizing the highest and the best, and distinguishing the moral differences], and that you may be untainted and pure and unerring and blameless [so that with hearts sincere and certain and unsullied, you may approach] the day of Christ [not stumbling nor causing others to stumble]. 11  May you abound in and be filled with the fruits of righteousness (of right standing with God and right doing) which come through Jesus Christ (the Anointed One), to the honor and praise of God [that His glory may be both manifested and recognized].

A.pply!

What an amazing heart he had for those he was discipling and serving with. What an amazing prayer to pray for people you love and serve with!

He prayed for them the deepest prayers, you could see the relationship he had with them was huge. His love for those he served with just poured out in prayer

Prayer is truly love expressed from the deepest desires of our hearts

The measure of our love for people is seen in how we pray for them from our heart to God's heart.

God gives us love for others and we return it by praying for them

His prayer covered so many key areas: development in knowledge; development in insight; greater depth of love that leads to a greater depth in our acquaintance with others; comprehensive discernment;

There is no greater thing we can pray for another person than to have more comprehensive discernment.

We need to be able to sense what is vital, and roll not with earthly temporary things but eternal things that make a forever difference.

That is such a great prayer and a hope that we do approve and prize only those things that have real value

Every day we should be praying and encouraging each other to be untainted by the world; pure in heart; sincere in spiritual motive; unerring in choice; blameless in behavior; pure-unerring in character and having a reputation that is unsullied by this world. Tall Order - BIG GOD! Hoping Huge Today!

It is really important to God that we give recognition to the things Kingdom best and make a moral difference in our world today.

L.ist!

You have such an amazing heart, full of tender mercy towards everyone. I do not have it. I pray to know Your heart #AWE-GOD and be a reflection of it.

Lord create in my heart a desire for only YOU 1st. Jesus I hope you lead me by Your Holy Spirit so I am continuously untainted by the world, pure in heart, sincere in spiritual motive, unerring in choice, blameless in behavior, pure in character and always having a reputation that is unsullied by this world. Let it be so in me and all I love and know! Jesus!

Joyce Meyer: Promises for Your Everyday Life - a Daily Devotional

Hebrews 2:9

But we are able to see Jesus, Who was ranked lower than the angels for a little while, crowned with glory and honor because of His having suffered death, in order that by the grace (unmerited favor) of God [to us sinners] He might experience death for every individual person.

The Bible says that Jesus experienced death for us. So you and I do not have to experience eternal death because He has paid the penalty for our sin and given us the gift of eternal life. Now that is something to rejoice about!

Because of Christ's resurrection and victory over death, what happens when you wake up in the morning? I believe that when Christians put their feet on the floor in the morning, hell ought to shake. Demons should tremble when they realize we're up!

That's exactly what will happen when we realize who we are in Christ and understand the authority we have in Him. We are soldiers in the army of God. We have authority in Him!

Jesus has defeated sin and death. Now we need to consistently walk in the authority and victory that He provides for us. Then you will be extremely dangerous to the enemy of God.

Prayer Starter: God, thank You for the victory I have in You. Every day, help me to further understand the price You paid for me, so that I can walk in all the authority and victory that You have for me.

No matter what is going on in our lives, there is nothing that stops us from making a miraculous memory out of this moment! Kimberlymac
