Quiet Strength!
Family Prayer Week of January 13th, 2009
"Humility is perfect quietness of heart. It is for me to have no trouble; never to be fretted or vexed or irritated or sore or disappointed. It is to expect nothing, to wonder at nothing that is done to me, to feel nothing done against me. It is to be at rest when nobody praises me and when I am blamed or despised. It is to have a blessed home in the Lord where I can go in and shut the door and kneel to my Father in secret and be at peace as in a deep sea of calmness when all around is trouble. It is the fruit of the Lord Jesus Christ's redemptive work on Calvary's cross, manifested in those of His own who are definitely subject to the Holy Spirit." Quote By Andrew Murray
Isaiah 30:13-14
Those sins are like cracks in a high wall. They get bigger and bigger. Suddenly the wall breaks apart. Then it quickly falls down. 14 It breaks into small pieces like a clay pot. It breaks up completely. Not one piece is left big enough for taking coals from a fireplace. Not one piece is left for dipping water out of a well."

Does this sound familiar precious family? I have been there in this place, where nothing was left in me, not even enough to dip water out of the well of life, not wanting to live another day! BUT God! I read this today and the first God thought I had was that this is a picture of America this day. A country with sins that have cracked the wall of our freedom! Our country has cracks in the wall and we all know it. So, what now? Precious family, I believe our Father God is calling us to a quiet strength, a place of deep rootedness in Him! The wall of security will come tumbling down, not one piece left. Don't be rooted here in this world. Silently submit, wholeheartedly and completely to God! I pray that for us this day! I pray for a perfect quiet, stillness dipped in the humility of the blood of Jesus, therefore perfect in Strength, Love and Sacrifice! Love you much! Pray for each other! Jesus giveth quietness! So Be It In Us! His Quiet Strength Found At His Feet, In His Presence!
Job 34:29
When He gives quietness (peace and security from oppression), who then can condemn? When He hides His face [withdrawing His favor and help], who then can behold Him [and make Him gracious], whether it be a nation or a man by himself?--

Psalm 46:8-11
Come, behold the works of the Lord, Who has wrought desolations and wonders in the earth. 9He makes wars to cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow into pieces and snaps the spear in two; He burns the chariots in the fire. 10Let be and be still, and know (recognize and understand) that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth! 11The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our Refuge (our High Tower and Stronghold). Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!

Psalm 18:1-3
I love you, Lord. You give me strength. 2 The Lord is my rock and my fort. He is the One who saves me. My God is my rock. I go to him for safety. He is like a shield to me. He's the power that saves me. He's my place of safety. 3 I call out to the Lord. He is worthy of praise. He saves me from my enemies.

Isaiah 30:12-17
Therefore, The Holy of Israel says this: "Because you scorn this Message, Preferring to live by injustice and shape your lives on lies, This perverse way of life will be like a towering, badly built wall That slowly, slowly tilts and shifts, and then one day, without warning, collapses—Smashed to bits like a piece of pottery, smashed beyond recognition or repair, Useless, a pile of debris to be swept up and thrown in the trash."
God Takes the Time to Do Everything Right
God, the Master, The Holy of Israel, has this solemn counsel: "Your salvation requires you to turn back to me and stop your silly efforts to save yourselves. Your strength will come from settling down in complete dependence on me—The very thing you've been unwilling to do.
The best thing He did for us, the most incredible, most taken for granted is THE CROSS…

Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him. 6 He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will not be shaken.

*My Prayer-HIS-THOUGHTS: KimberlyMac-Glowing In His Glory! Always-4Ever! Glow It!*
- Father, help this family to take time and do what it is right! Help us to find quiet in Your Presence! May all of us be drawn to You right now, to wait quietly before you, and place all our hope in You. Silently Submit To God! Now! Lay Your Heart At The Foot Of His Cross! Jesus!
- Father help us to be still, let be and know You are God. In this quietness of our soul, may our spirits find the refuge of Your strength.
- Lord cause us to dig deeper beyond the surface traditions and habits of our religiosity and find a true silent submission to our Father God! Make it so in us!
- Father shut down the endless chatter of our minds, that the wheels of our will might stop in front of Your Cross and bow, silently before You.
- Father bow our hearts before You, help us to remember the LOVE OF YOUR CROSS, help us to know nothing separates us from You. Quietness in Your Presence!
- Jesus may the Quietness In Your Presence be Your prevailing strength in all of us in this family, in our everything. So Be It!
- Father God, teach us to live in quietness and strength, to know that everything we have, everything we are belongs to You! Teach us Holy Spirit, each one of us in this family from the youngest to the oldest to live in Your quietness and strength! Jesus! So Be It! Undivided in Heart! Silently Submissive Unto You!
- Father God, there is so much of this world's clamor in our all, yet in Your Presence, the world's chaos is still! Teach this family to find a quiet spot in the center of our everything for YOUR ALL, the Strength of Who You Are! Jesus bring us into Your Presence each day that we might silently submit our all to Your Everything! Jesus! So Be It! AMEN!
- Father may quietness in Your Presence be the realized strength of each member of this family. I call out their names to You, I pray for Your Quiet Strength to be found in each of their all and everything! So Be It! Jesus! AMEN! AMEN! Yes and AMEN!
Streams In The Desert January 31st
"He gives quietness in the midst of the raging storm. As we sail the lake with Him, reaching deep water and far from land, suddenly, under the midnight sky, a mighty storm sweeps down. Earth and hell seem mobilized against us, and each wave threatens to overwhelm our boat. Then He rises from His sleep and rebukes the wind and the wave. He waves His hand, signaling the end of the raging temptest and the beginning of the restful calm. His voice is heard above the screaming of the wind through the ropes and rigging, and over the thrashing of the waves. "Quiet! Be Still!" (Mark 4:39) Can you not hear it? And instantly there is a great calm. "He giveth quietness"—quietness even in the midst of losing our inner strength and comforts. Sometimes He removes these because we make too much of them. We are tempted to look at our joys, pleasures, passions, or our dreams, with too much self-satisfaction. Then through His gracious love He withdraws them, leading us to distinguish between them and Himself. He draws near and whispers the assurance of His Presence, bringing an infinite calm to keep our hearts and minds. "He giveth quietness."
"He giveth quietness." O Elder Brother,
Whose homeless feet have pressed our path of pain,
Whose hands have borne the burden of our sorrow,
That in our losses we might find our gain.
Of all Your gifts and infinite consoling,
I ask but this: in every troubled hour
To hear Your voice through all the tumults stealing,
And rest serene beneath its tranquil power.
Cares cannot fret me if my soul be dwelling
In the still air of faiths untroubled day;
Grief cannot fret me if I walk beside you,
My hand in Yours along the darkening way.
Content to know there comes a radiant morning
When from all shadows I will find release;
Serene to wait the rapture of its dawning—
Who can make trouble when You send me peace?

Bring an offering and come before Him; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness and in holy array.
