Ephesians 2:10
For we are God's [own] handiwork (His workmanship),recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live]. ~ The Amplified Bible
AWE-GOD!
Oh My! I Am God's Handiwork!
I Was Recreated With Jesus' Righteousness!
God predestined my giftedness and the works of my life!
God is my Way-Maker. God went before me – made a way for me!
God wanted me to live the "good life" He went before me-created life!
Developing My AWE-GOD With An Attitude Of Gratitude!
2012 AWE-GOD Gratefulness! I can't help but be grateful and overwhelmed by Your AWE-GOD Provision. Everything about YOU is abundant. Because the economy has been so bad the last three years, we have lost so many jobs. It has been hard. Being in the construction industry was very good for 35 years, but the last few years it has been hazardous to our pocketbook! BUT GOD, You have been with us every step of the way. The Abundance of Your Presence, Peace, Purpose, Promise, Provision has been outrageous. In the worst of the economy, we kept losing job after job, which was very purposeful, because you brought us to our current job, which is the perfect job to provide for us in this economy. I am so grateful for the ABUNDANCE of YOU Lord. Your Presence, Your Peace, Your Promise, Your Purpose, Your Provision. You ARE All-In with us. Thank You!
Your hurt has been gestating for months, even years, so release it from your hurting soul. It has lodged itself deep within and, over time, has whittled away your joy. You have become hard to live with and you struggle to love yourself. Latch onto your Lord and don't let go, for He is there for you.

I understand this kind of prayer, it has been in place for the last 12 years of my life. This season of my life is truly going to be about getting healed from the affects of war that "has lodged itself deep within" as my US Marine Son of 12 years is being medically retired and this US Marine Mom of 12 years is stepping off her "watch" and becoming just a mom again. I have been pouring out my soul for my US Marine and His Marines for 12 long years. My soul needs to be replenished after a long ride with the horrors of war. War is awful and it grates on the soul of the family of soldiers. I am ready for God to heal me and restore my soul, so I can say once again… It is well with my soul.

Connecting! Everyone communicates if you connect. A lot of people talk, but truly don't communicate because it is not a two way thing. People tune you out. So many people when they don't connect don't even know they are not connecting. Am I interesting? Am I adding value to you? When I am with people in experience, are they excited to be with me. Do I have the ability to draw people to me? Am I a connector or a disconnector? People disconnect on a daily basis and don't have a clue.
My Thoughts About This = Miraculous Musings! J
I get these every day, they are a nice bite of wisdom that is always different each day. Today was the word "connect" and I thought it really applied to us as people who are in a ministry that is trying to connect with others online. Hope it blesses you, it did me!

The Sufficiency of God's Power By Anne Graham Lotz
To Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, . . . be glory.
Ephesians 3:20-21, NKJV
If you are questioning the sufficiency of God's power to resolve your problems and pressures, your suffering and stress, your crisis and change, His answer is the same. The infinite power of the Living Logos of God is adequate for any need you or I will ever have. Anne Graham Lotz Eph 3:20-21
We may intellectually grasp the truth that God's power is adequate, but we can never know that by experience if we stay in our comfort zone. If all you ever attempt is what you know you can do yourself, if all your needs seem to be met through someone or something other than God, if you never have any difficulties that are greater than you can bear-how will you know the awesome greatness and personal availability of His infinite power? It's when the Red Sea is before you, the mountains are on one side of you, the desert is on the other side, and you feel the Egyptian army closing in from behind that you experience His power to open up an escape route. He has power to do the supernatural, the unthinkable, the impossible. Blessings, Anne Graham Lotz AnGeL Ministries Website
My Thoughts About This = Miraculous Musings! J
Been there and experienced that. I have faced my "RED SEA" with that before me and the enemy closing in on me. God has shown me that He is able, that He can do more than I could ever hope for or dream of. No doubt about it. He does things HIS way and my "heavenly hindsight" always is a delight to look back on, because HIS Way, even though it was very uncomfortable was the best way for me. God does things His Way! As I look back with joyful "heavenly hindsight" I know this without a doubt and that is why I trust Him today!

I had a REALLY GOOD Day today! It is a miracle for me to be able to say that, because I don't like this season of my life, but I am learning to be content in it and lean into the Sovereign Sway of God, knowing His unseen purpose is eventually going to be my seen good!
All your flaws are exposed to God, and if you ask Him for His perspective, He will help you pick yourself up, take responsibility, and live a peaceful life. Today, don't be scared to face the truth about yourself, but let God guide you into a new tomorrow. Joyce Meyer

The President of our nation just announced he supports same sex marriage!
God can handle it... I don't have any doubt about that!
He is just a man, nothing and no one can change the sacrament of marriage that God set up... good luck with that
No one can take away from God's Word... He will make a way where there seems to be no way
Yes it was that way with the 1st marriage and has been that way and will be that way forever
Just because one man says it is not doesn't make it so... just makes him look foolish in God's eyes..
How foolish men are to think they can tangle with Awe-God and win... hmmmmm. Yes we are headed into challenging times, but whatever the challenge, God's purposes will always be greater
We have to trust Him... we have to cling to our future and hope... this is not our home and for the short time we are here, let's make a Big God Impact
God's Word Does Not Change! It remains the same, it has, is and forever will stand the tests of time, the foolishness of men and the trials of the ages! His Truth Was, His Truth Is, His Truth Always Will Be!

Genesis 2: 18-24 Now the Lord God said, It is not good (sufficient, satisfactory) that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper meet (suitable, adapted, complementary) for him. 19 And out of the ground the Lord God formed every [wild] beast and living creature of the field and every bird of the air and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them; and whatever Adam called every living creature, that was its name. 20 And Adam gave names to all the livestock and to the birds of the air and to every [wild] beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found a helper meet (suitable, adapted, complementary) for him. 21 And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam; and while he slept, He took one of his ribs or a part of his side and closed up the [place with] flesh. 22 And the rib or part of his side which the Lord God had taken from the man He built up and made into a woman, and He brought her to the man. 23 Then Adam said, This [creature] is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of a man. 24 Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and shall become united and cleave to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.
My Thoughts About This = Miraculous Musings! J
You can't win with spin when it is the Word of God! How much more clear does it need to be? Clear as can be it already is. God created man, God created woman out of man. God gave woman to man – they became one flesh. Marriage! Man and Woman! Who wants to argue with what God set forth? I don't! It is as it says, it is as it always has been and God has not changed it! One Man – One Woman – On In Christ! Sperm Without Egg Does Not Baby Make! Men were not created for men, women were not created for women.
Marriage= Man + Woman God Instituted -God formulated. Actually you were made that way (whether you call yourself straight or gay) you were created from the sperm of a male and the egg of a female. No one would be here without God making marriage between Man + Woman. Has not changed! Man- (sperm) + Woman (Egg) = marriage= baby. No political spin, no judging, no homophobic, no prejudice on this, just plain old God-Truth-Reality! Spin That If You Can! The Word Of God Speaks! Genesis 2: 18-24
You Can't Change It. Creation! God Created Man - God Created Woman - God Gave Them In Marriage. Sperm- Egg- Baby. Man-Woman! Women and Women and Men and Men Can't Make Baby! Not Created By God To Do It! You Can't Spin Words - You Can't Spin Truth! Literally! You Can't Change What God Created And Formulated As Marriage! You can say what you want, but God already spoke it into being, created man and woman for each other. Take your fight to HIM, ask HIM. He will answer! He wrote it. He created it!

A Grandmother's Gift By Boyd Bailey
2 Timothy 1:5 "I am reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and, I am persuaded, now lives in you also."
Every God-fearing grandmother can give the gift of faith to her grandchildren. It is a gift that keeps giving to those in the path of its influence. Like the ripple affect of a rock released onto the surface of calm water, so faith deposited in tender hearts swells touching other souls. A grandmother's position garners trust for the purpose of giving Christ's love. Her unique role is a righteous responsibility that reaps faith's fruit in her child's children.
So, wise are we, as grandparents, to keep growing in grace and wisdom. Our seasoned season of life does not guarantee that we qualify as wise mentors, hence we keep learning, so we have fresh experiences of God's faithfulness. Once we receive from our heavenly Father, grandmothers and grandfathers have the most to give. Our daily walk with Jesus gives us grace to give to others. Thus, we make time for grandchildren.
"When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to him and said, "I am God Almighty; walk before me faithfully and be blameless." Genesis 17:1
Holy Scripture is a gift your granddaughter or grandson will never forget. But, first make sure they catch you in your time with Christ, sharing with them stories from Scripture. God's word reads with new meaning in new seasons, so as they grow older see to it they have a fresh motivation to mediate on God's word. Give them the gift of wisdom: the smell of a new leather bound Bible is the aroma of a life bound to belief in the Lord.
Perhaps you entrust to each adolescent grandchild one of your Bibles as a memento of your love for your Master, Jesus. Keepsakes for Christ create a hunger for holiness to those who honor you. Grandparenting is your crowning opportunity to crown Christ as King of your life and legacy. Therefore, intentionally pray for ways to walk with your grandchildren in fun and faith. Your gift of love and laughter attracts them to Jesus!
"But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus." 2 Timothy 3:14-15
Prayer: Lord, how can I influence my grandchildren with fun and faith?

Lord, I will have my grandgirls this summer, please give me wisdom, grace and love for them. Give me creative ways to share YOU with them, to point them to YOU. Jesus!
When we get to be grandparents, it should be a time where we can slow down and enjoy life some. But in our society today, where young couples are doing everything possible to make it, it pulls them out of the home more. Mom's are having to go back to work as Dad's pay and benefits are being cut and everything is rising in price in our culture. This is a time for grandparents to step up, to fill in the gap. I will have my grandgirls all summer because of this very thing. I pray for God's wisdom and am thankful for this piece written today, it has inspired me in many ways and I want to be the best Grammy ever, the one who is remembered for pointing them to Jesus, to true hope, to true life, to the true way of living life this side of heaven.
http://wisdomhunters.com/ Boyd Bailey
"The master commended the dishonest manager because he had acted shrewdly. For the people of this world are more shrewd in dealing with their own kind than are the people of the light. I tell you, use worldly wealth to gain friends for yourselves, so that when it is gone, you will be welcomed into eternal dwellings." Luke 16:8-9
Creating an economic structure around passion and purpose can be a prayerful and godly goal. It could be converting informal free advice into a formalized fee for coaching, consulting, or counseling. It may mean engaging a hobby of painting, writing, or singing and moving it into the market as a valued product. God gives gifts and skills to create a living. There are times to give away time and expertise, and times to monetize our mission.
Money is not our motivation, but it is a by-product of producing value around what wakes us up in the morning. Why waste our lives just working for a paycheck, when we can creatively come up with ways to channel our energies and experiences into an economic endeavor. Christ commends shrewd servants of His who innovate new ways to make friends and influence people. Indeed, we are called to be creative for Christ's sake.
"So I was afraid and went out and hid your gold in the ground. See, here is what belongs to you." His master replied, "You wicked, lazy servant! So you knew that I harvest where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed? Well then, you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers, so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest." Matthew 25:25-27
You are wise to work in your area of expertise, but avoid ruts that lead to complacency. Pray about how the Lord wants you to steward the relationships, opportunities, and gifts He has given you. Perhaps there is a small group of friends who will pray with you and even invest some seed money to eventually monetize God's mission for your life. Truly, compared to eternity—life is a blink of an eye, so don't hesitate on His direction.
Sad are servants of Jesus who remain in a scared state of inertia. Instead, follow by faith the sensitive promptings of the Holy Spirit in your heart. Do not allow your head to talk you out of following an unconventional course for your career. The world will watch with admiration a shrewd servant of the Lord, who, with an eye on eternity, invests in people on earth. Your life is attractive when you live out your mission with passion and productivity. Trust God to give you the wisdom to make a living from living for His call.
"The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it." 1 Thessalonians 5:24
Prayer: Lord, how can I monetize my mission for the sake of your Kingdom?

Perfect piece for me right now! There is so much wisdom in this for me today; I don't know where to begin. This is my season of life. I have been struggling with this. So I am going to meditate on this, be opened hearted and hear what God is saying to me. God used me for 25 years or so as a church administrative secretary. During all those years I have written so many things, but never published them. I also have written a book that I know He wants to say some things to His Bride. I am working towards getting that published. I am creating a website and a publishing company. But I have resisted selling "words" that God has given me. I can't reconcile that what God speaks to me, doesn't belong to me, so how can I sell it. I get about 18 thousand hits on my website. I work like I would at a job, every day writing and keeping it updated. People ask me, "Why don't you get advertising sponsors" I have so resisted it. I admit, I struggle with exactly what you spoke so wisely about today. Thanks for this wisdom, it really helps me!
A Seasoned Servant Of God Has Encouraged Me Today
Dear Bob and Kim,
This modern parable really hits me in the heart. I did not write it. I never forward stuff, but once in a while something requires sharing. When I read this the Lord laid it heavy on my heart to share it with you. Don't worry, I will not become a 'forwarder'. Please read this. You know, Jesus used parables to help those around Him to understand the deeper truths of the Kingdom of God/Heaven. That's all this is. Enjoy.
Pastor Elliott
When I was a kid, my Mom liked to make breakfast food for dinner every now and then. And I remember one night in particular when she had made breakfast after a long, hard day at work. On that evening so long ago, my Mom placed a plate of eggs, sausage and extremely burned biscuits in front of my dad. I remember waiting to see if anyone noticed! Yet all my dad did was reach for his biscuit, smile at my Mom, and ask me how my day was at school. I don't remember what I told him that night, but I do remember watching him smear butter and jelly on that biscuit and eat every bite!
When I got up from the table that evening, I remember hearing my Mom apologize to my dad for burning the biscuits. And I'll never forget what he said: "Honey, I love burned biscuits."
Later that night, I went to kiss Daddy good night and I asked him if he really liked his biscuits burned. He wrapped me in his arms and said, "Your Momma put in a hard day at work today and she's real tired. And besides – a little burned biscuit never hurt anyone!"
Life is full of imperfect things and imperfect people. I'm not the best at hardly anything, and I forget birthdays and anniversaries just like everyone else. But what I've learned over the years is that learning to accept each others faults - and choosing to celebrate each others differences - is one of the most important keys to creating a healthy, growing, and lasting relationship.
And that's my prayer for you today. That you will learn to take the good, the bad, and the ugly parts of your life and lay them at the feet of God. Because in the end, He's the only One who will be able to give you a relationship where a burnt biscuit isn't a deal-breaker!
We could extend this to any relationship. In fact, understanding is the base of any relationship, be it a husband-wife or parent-child or friendship!
"Don't put the key to your happiness in someone else's pocket - keep it in your own."
So please pass me a biscuit, and yes, the burned one will do just fine. And PLEASE pass this along to someone who has enriched your life.
"Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle."
"Life without God is like an unsharpened pencil - it has no point."
My Thoughts About This = Miraculous Musings! J
I really needed this! Life just does not work out perfectly. I have a tendency to withdraw kindness when I am in one of those seasons where I am struggling with the imperfections of life. I need to be more willing to eat the burned biscuits and eat them with love, humility and kindness towards those who have burned them. I need to be a person who where burned biscuits are never a deal breaker. I need to truly learn to put all my expectations in God's hands. He is simply-significantly my enough. I need to learn to lean into His Sovereign sway and step out into the flow of His Kingdom purposes with a smile in my heart.
leadership wisdom from Ron edmondston blog
Humility is a desired, but often neglected characteristic of good, servant leadership. The more we promote ourselves online, the more I'm afraid humility is being forgotten. As one who has an online presence, I consistently sense God reminding me that I've been on the bottom and I can return there.
Pride is a struggle for many leaders (author included), but we must strive to bring humility to our leadership roles.
Here are 10 attributes of a humble leader:
Dangerous Trust – Humility always demands a certain level of trust. A humble leader is willing to take a risk on others, trusting them with the sacredness of the vision, even at the chance they may be disappointed with the outcome.
Sincere Investment – Humble leaders know the vision is bigger and will last longer than they will, so they willingly invest in others, raising up and maturing new leaders.
Gentle, but Strong – One can't be a leader and be weak. Every position of leadership will provide a challenge to the leader, but humble leaders have learned the balance between being gentle and remaining strong. (Think Jesus!)
Readily Admits Mistakes – Everyone makes mistakes. In fact, we often learn more through failure than through success. The humble leader is quick to admit when he or she has done wrong and deals with the fault-out without casting blame or making excuses.
Forgives easily – Leadership is filled with disappointment; often at the expense of other's mistakes. A humble leader forgives easily, remembering how many times he or she has been forgiven.
Quickly diverts attention – We all like to be recognized for accomplishments, but a humble leader is quick to divert attention to others, sharing the limelight for successes with those, who many times, may have even had more to do with the success than the leader did. They celebrate the success of others louder than personal success
Remains thankful – A humble leader is appreciative of the input of others into his or her leadership. So much so, that a humble leader naturally praises the actions of others far more than the time spent patting themselves on the back for personal accomplishments. Humble leaders recognize that all good gifts come from above.
Recognizes Limitations – No one can do everything. A humble has the ability to say, "I can't do that or I'm not the one who should".
Shares authority – Humble leaders don't take all the key assignments for themselves, but gives out prime responsibility and authority to people he or she is leading.
Invites feedback – A humble leader wants to learn from his or her mistakes and wants to continually see improvement. Humble leaders initiate other's suggestions and feedback, not waiting until complaints come, but personally asking for the input.
Humility is not putting yourself down as a leader. It's ultimately recognizing who you are in view of Christ and others. The danger in not being a humble leader or considering ourselves better than others, is that one day we may be "humbled". Many of us learn humility the hard way.
What would you add to my list?
My Thoughts About This = Miraculous Musings! J
Thanks ! That was really good! This was convicting for me. Sometimes I am too "chatty" and I don't give others a chance to talk. I need to change that, because I realize I am not being a "humble" leader if I have to "dominate" the conversation. Just because God made me "wordy" isn't a good excuse for not being putting others above myself. hmmmmmmmmm!!!!!
I would add this too: A humble leader puts "unity" of all, above all and never creates a conditional loop that leaves others feeling invisible and isolated, on the outside feeling not good enough as they look in.
I can understand - I struggle with keeping my confidence and humility in balance too. Sometimes it takes me talking a very long look at the Cross, at a very tenacious, powerful, confident Jesus, whose most important action was done in humility. It was the meekness of the cross, the power under control of Jesus Christ that saved me. Please Jesus burn Your Caricature of humility upon my heart that I might lead with it and not out of my human condition. AWE-GOD!

I knew God had called me… I was not special…. Yet I believed God would use me… I was humbled… Joyce Meyer
Who was I that God would use me? I believed God's calling and promise to me! And then I waited for God to open the doors that no one could shut.
I wonder if God really wants to use me? Instead of holding on to the Promises of God, I looked at myself and my lack of qualifications. I started to compare myself with other believers. When you compare yourself with others, that is usually a mistake because you usually end up on the negative side. I questioned God and His Promise. I realized I no longer had the bright vision God had given me, I was filled with doubt and unbelief.
Mind-binding spirits! A mind-binding spirit had tried to steal my vision, destroy my joy, and take away my ministry. An evil spirit was attacking my mind and preventing me from believing the promise of God. I asked God to help me, and He set me free. Joyce Meyer
A mind-binding spirit sneaks in. It is as if a band of iron snaps around their minds and they find it hard to believe their dreams can come to pass. HOLD FAST! If God has spoken it. God will perform it. Remember that Abraham waited 25 years for God to give him Isaac.

God's Promise To Me From The Writing Of Frances J. Roberts:
You will have companionship; it will be companionship of those who are like-minded with me; those who like me are done with the beggarly elements, whose sense of value has been readjusted, so they deem the unseen as greater value than the seen, and the spiritual riches more precious than the weath of the world.

Matthew 6:27
And who of you by worrying and being anxious can add one unit of measure (cubit) to his stature or to the span of his life? Amplified Bible
You Can't Add One Inch to Your Height!
Worrying does us absolutely no good. It doesn't change one thing, and we waste time by being upset over stuff we can't do anything about, things only God can change. Joyce Meyer
The Bible says we can't even add one inch to our height by worrying. Yet, we worry, worry, worry, which gets us nowhere.
Every time we get really upset, it takes a lot of emotional energy, tires us out, messes with our health, steals our joy, and still doesn't change one thing. We need to stop trying to fix things that only God can fix because the only one who's clapping is the devil, saying, "Ha, ha, ha! Got 'em again!"
Jesus tells us to "calm down" in John 14:27 and"cheer up" in John 16:33. I think it's a one-two knockout punch to the devil when we do. When you realize you can't fix everything, that calms you down, and when You know that God can, it cheers you up!
So don't worry. Instead, calm down, cheer up, and send the devil running!
Prayer Starter: Lord, my worrying really doesn't accomplish anything, so I leave it behind. I'm so thankful that You can fix what I can't. You calm me down and cheer me up!

Isolation - Invisibility Or Unity? Written By Kimberlymac
John 10: 1-11 "I tell you the truth, anyone who sneaks over the wall of a sheepfold, rather than going through the gate, must surely be a thief and a robber! 2 But the one who enters through the gate is the shepherd of the sheep. 3 The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep recognize his voice and come to him. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. 4 After he has gathered his own flock, he walks ahead of them, and they follow him because they know his voice. 5 They won't follow a stranger; they will run from him because they don't know his voice."
6 Those who heard Jesus use this illustration didn't understand what he meant, 7 so he explained it to them: "I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep. 8 All who came before me[a] were thieves and robbers. But the true sheep did not listen to them. 9 Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be saved.[b] They will come and go freely and will find good pastures. 10 The thief's purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.
11 "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd sacrifices his life for the sheep.
amplified Bible Isolation! Invisibility! Disunity! Yes, we have an enemy and once in a while, I might glance his way, but I habitually FOCUS on Jesus and without a doubt I know: YES We Have A Good Shepherd! Yes He Is Speaking! Yes I Can Easily Follow His Voice! AWE-GOD!
Invisibility = Isolation! Invisibility is the death wish of our enemy for us. Isolation is the death wish of the father of lies, who comes in like a thief in the night to kill, steal and destroy the unity of The Bride of Christ.
The Spirit And The Bride Say Come! God's Truth is so important; the fullness of it brings about such sweet unity in the family of God, the Bride of Christ. We must know the Voice of Truth, follow it and live it out in our lives. Any form of deceit marks the beginning of invisibility and isolation, the erosion of unity in Christ.
The enemy of the Bride of Christ is the father of lies. What form does this enemy take? The caricature of our enemy is deceit. The father of lies looks like anything that is opposite of the fullness of God truth. You know the enemy is at work, and can see his divisiveness because he is all in with the crafty objective of working for the invisibility of God's Glory, a Glory that thrives in the unity of the Bride of Christ.
Deceit is a cunning form of our enemy's trickery. The voice of deception is never familiar or easy for a Christian to follow. We keep the unity of the Bride of Christ alive, healthy and thriving when we follow the voice of our Good Shepherd, Jesus Christ. It is in listening to Jesus 1st, that we become all in with His Kingdom purposes in play all around us and step into the fullness of God's Truth and Light.
Deceit is never ushered in the front door; it slithers in the unguarded back door of your heart. Any form of deceit, damns up the flow of God's Purposes into the unity of His Church. There is no more difficult way than the way of deceit; it is a stumbling block of offense for unity. The enemy comes into the sheep pen of the Bride of Christ with a specific goal of stealing, killing, destroying the peace and unity between God and His church and between God's children.
We must guard our hearts against any form of deceit, by fully facing AWE-GOD. Every day we need to listen for the Shepherd's Voice and be led by the fullness of its truth. With Jesus 1st as our goal and walking in the fullness of truth with Him, we are a part of making the caricature of His Namesake, the Bride of Christ, spotless from any form of dishonesty, not giving deceit any voice in our lives. Christian, we wear the name and the spotless reputation of the Good Shepherd. We are His sheep, Christians, and the name of Jesus Christ that we have chosen to wear, to put on today, should never be synonymous with any form of deception.
Deceit always begins with the "human condition" being enticed by the father of lies to take our life matters into our own hands, leaving God out of the loop of our solutions.
Have you ever been purposefully left out of the loop? It makes you feel invisible! The divisive goal of the father of lies in the deployment of deceit, is to keep the truth, the Glory of God, imperceptible to mankind. All I can say is good luck with that! It is pretty impossible to hold down God Truth!
The voice of deceit will never win the war against God's Voice of Truth, but don't let down your guard because deception will persistently battle, being a misleading whisper and trying to make its mark of doubt on God's Truth. When we buy into the lies whispered in cunning deception, we open the door to frustration that pulses to the beat of human doings, while the father of lies smiles, because he knows the back door to the sheep pen is left ajar and he can enter where he will not be noticed! Yes it is always the plan of the father of lies to come in divisively through unseen motives, with his death wish to kill, steal and destroy the unity of the Bride of Christ.
Deception is a loop that is set up purposefully, with the discordant intention of keeping truth on the outside of it. Are you in this loop or standing outside of it with truth?
The Body of Christ is made up of many small groups that are alive in Christ. The open-hearted nature of these groups to God and others make them healthy organisms, living and full of God's Spirit and Truth and growing together in unity with Awe-God.
The Bride of Christ is not an organization, it is an organism in unity with the life of Jesus Christ, aligned fully with His Living Truth and growing and replicating His Caricature. God's truth is powerful in His Bride and has life that replicates His authority, health and growth of His Kingdom, bringing eternal life to every organism in His Body! A sweet unity in the glorious future and Kingdom hope contained within His Life.
The Voice Of The Shepherd is The Truth Of The Sheep And God's Truth Is The Most Valuable Commodity Of The Bride Of Christ. Without the Caricature of God's Voice of Truth upon us, we would portray to the world a "human conditioned" organization, not a living Christ organism.
The Shepherd never intended for His Sheep to kindle their own fire and walk by the light of a man made fire. He provided an eternal glory glow. Jesus is the Light of the world and is the Way-Maker for us to walk in the fullness of His Light-Life-Truth. When a fire kindled by man goes out, everyone who is standing around it, is in the pitch dark and that is when unity is besieged by deceit that has slithered over the wall into the church.
Have you ever used deceit to create a loop to purposefully leave someone out? Did you feel your motives were good? Nothing good ever steps out of deceit, and deceit stepped out in never ends with unity. God does not walk the same path as deceit, no matter how good your intentions are, deceit is deceit. Unity in the Body of Christ is kept healthy, thriving and full of God Glory when it is lived in the fullness of truth. Keeping up a loop, that keeps others out is exhausting and for those that are standing outside the loop, looking in, it is debilitating; both of these perspectives are eroding the unity of the Bride of Christ. Invisibility and Isolation!
God's Truth is the best option to keeping the enemy out of the sheep pen at all times. Never rationalize that not speaking the truth is a good option. Deceit is an alternative path of truth, one that opens the door to the father of lies to get a strong hold on the unity of the Bride of Christ. Talking about others behind their back is devising loops without truth and it ushers in isolation, making people invisible to the God Glory in each other.
When the enemy has snuck into the pen, then for sure unconditional love and conditional love are battling. Unconditional love wants to damn up the purpose and love of God in human condition. Truth spoken in love is not dependent upon human condition but God. Loops created by deceit are completely propped up by human doings and leave torment, isolation and invisibility in the sheep pen! You know what I am saying because you have seen it and experienced the stealing of peace, the destroying of unity, the killing of visible God Glory. The Glory of God is made visible to the world through our human condition aglow in Kingdom Spirit and Truth! Unity thrives in the living atmosphere of God's Truth!
Do you feel invisible? Are you standing on the outside of a man made loop? Then you know how isolation and disunity feels and how it kills, steals and destroys the unity of the Bride of Christ.
Now is the time to listen for the Voice of the Shepherd, align yourself in Holy Alignment with His Truth. Wait on Him. He is going to kick the enemy out of the sheep pen and tear down the walls and loops he devised that isolate with conditions and create invisibility. The Good Shepherd will not stop until all the walls and loops of the father of lies that are supported by deception and rationalization are torn down. The love of God tears down walls and never creates loops that leave people on the outside looking in.
Listen to the voice of the Good Shepherd, the voice of the Holy Spirit is abundant in truth and love. God's Spirit and Truth lean us into the sway of the Sovereignty of His Life, His Glory and His Kingdom. The fire of His Infinite Love is a passion of truth, justice, hope, wisdom and peace that runs deep in the organism of His Bride, The Church. It makes His name glorious and evokes change by His power, not by our human doing.
Break down the walls of isolation and invisibility that are held up by the father of lies! We are loved by AWE-GOD, created to live together in God's Spirit and Truth by the peaceful unity of His Life in us. We are the Body of Christ, a living organism made up of many, united by One-Jesus Christ! We were never created to be an organization that creates loops that isolate and build walls keeping people within, warming themselves by a man made fire that will eventually flame out. Isaiah 50:7-11
People should never stand outside of the Glory Glow of God! The openhearted Bride of Christ, opens the gate to the sheep pen and the Shepherd opens the door to eternal life. The Spirit And The Bride Say Come! The Shepherd calls and the sheep know His Voice and follow Him and together they live in unity. No Isolation. No Invisibility. YES! Unity! YES! Glory of God!

Tear Down The Walls By Hillsong
Are you looking to the inside, standing on the outside of the loop. Were you looped out by way of deception, because of a condition, a human expectation that you did not meet that keeps you from being on the inside. That is the enemy wanting to kill, steal and destroy your individuality, the very thing God created you to be. Don't turn away in despair and hurt! Turn To Christ And He Will Tear Down The Walls!
If People Loop You Out! Respond By Always Shining The Glory Of God's Truth – Speak It – Live It! Fully Face God And Engage With His Holy Spirit And Let Him Change You Into A Living Organism That Lives And Breathes The Fullness Of God's Truth And Replicates The Caricature Of The Image Of AWE-GOD's Unconditional Love In The All Of Your Everything. The father of lives comes to kill, steal and destroy and wants you to stand looped outside by deception, wants you to be as invisible as you feel, wants to steal the God glory from your visibility. Looped out by way of deception? People talking behind your back, leaving you purposefully out of the loop? Fully Face God! Respond In His Spirit And Truth And Be Visible – Glow His Glory And Tear Down The Walls Of Isolation Being A Living Organism In The Bride Of Christ, That Replicates The Caricature Of Christ, Wearing His Name, His Life, His Truth Fully Dressed As His Spotless Bride.
The father of lies came to kill, steal and destroy, making us invisible to each other, putting out the lamp of God's glory in us. Jesus came to give us life, life that replicates as a living organism in the body of Christ. We are the Bride Of Christ. Glow His Glory! Be Visible – Tear Down The Walls – Shatter The Darkness As You Walk By The Light Of God's Glory Glow!
My Thoughts About This = Miraculous Musings! J
Father God forgive me for the times I have listened to the father of lives and deceptively created loops to keep people out according to my human rationalization and conditions. Forgive me for kindling my own fire and walking by the light of it. I was created to live in peace and unity with all, to be a caricature of the whole of Your Life. Help me to stay true to the Glory Glow of Your Heart Passion and to never walk by a light I have kindled, that loops others out of the Glory Glow of God and creates invisibility of Your Caricature in me and them. Invisibility is the death wish of the father of lives and he craftily will spin loops and build walls to try to keep God's Glory undetectable. It is impossible, yes but the father of lies truly does wreak havoc with the unity of The Bride of Christ. Are you warming your hands by a fire kindled by deceptive means? Step outside a man made loop and bring those who are invisible into the Glory of God. Walk by the light of God's Spirit And Truth.
Isaiah 50:7-11
4[The [a]Servant of God says] The Lord God has given Me the tongue of a disciple and of one who is taught, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him who is weary. He wakens Me morning by morning, He wakens My ear to hear as a disciple [as one who is taught]. 5 The Lord God has opened My ear, and I have not been rebellious or turned backward. 6 I gave My back to the smiters and My cheeks to those who plucked off the hair; I hid not My face from shame and spitting. For the Lord God helps Me; therefore have I not been ashamed or confounded. Therefore have I set My face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be put to shame. 8 He is near Who declares Me in the right. Who will contend with Me? Let us stand forth together! Who is My adversary? Let him come near to Me. 9 Behold, the Lord God will help Me; who is he who will condemn Me? Behold, they all will wax old and be worn out as a garment; the moth will eat them up. 10 Who is among you who [reverently] fears the Lord, who obeys the voice of His Servant, yet who walks in darkness and deep trouble and has no shining splendor [in his heart]? Let him rely on, trust in, and be confident in the name of the Lord, and let him lean upon and be supported by his God. 11 Behold, all you [enemies of your own selves] who attempt to kindle your own fires [and work out your own plans of salvation], who surround and gird yourselves with momentary sparks, darts, and firebrands that you set aflame!--walk by the light of your self-made fire and of the sparks that you have kindled [for yourself, if you will]! But this shall you have from My hand: you shall lie down in grief and in torment.

Just some thoughts I had this morning after Pastor Bruce powerfully delivered a hard Truth in such an excellent Spirit, makes me want to be like that… full of truth no matter what, speaking it, living it:
I am really happy to be a part of this online campus ministry team. We are all so different; I think that is the coolest part. So much God giftedness - so many God shaped patterns fitting together and making an eternal difference in the lives of others. Iron sharpens Iron, God created it to be so and this is a part of the developing of our unity. God created us to live in peace and unity and He shores that up with truth. Don't you believe that truth alive and fully functioning between us, makes us into a living organism instead of a worldly organization? I do!
I hope to love you all unconditionally and serve with you in the fullness of God's truth. I hope my motives will always be pure and truth led. I want to welcome God's truth. I hope that we all will be people who always speak and live the fullness of God's truth with each other. We are so blessed to have God's Truth taught to us every week by Pastor Bruce and blessed to live it out!
Have a great week! Let me know how I can pray for you this week.

Detest Dissension
"There are six things the LORD hates, seven that are detestable to him: … a false witness who pours out lies and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers." Proverbs 6:16; 19
The Lord loathes liars and those who stir up dissension because they are masters at sowing seeds of doubt, deception, and discord. Dissenters think the worst of others and pose prideful questions like, "Is he or she really fit for the job?' "Do they deal with honest intentions?" or "Can this person really be trusted?" A person who stirs up dissension projects their own insecure feelings on the person they are seeking to discredit or even destroy.
Like Saul, their own anger, hurt, and jealousy drive them to delusionary conclusions. It is sad to see them suffer under their own mental anguish, absent of trust in the Lord. Their perspective becomes man-centered, while faith in Christ is jettisoned as irrelevant. Those who stir up dissension need to be dealt with directly and with a heart of compassion.
"The hot-tempered stir up dissension, but those who are patient calm a quarrel." Proverbs 15:18, TNIV
Therefore, confront in love the one who orchestrates doubt and division among the team. Question their facts and ask them to refrain from gossip and divisive behavior. Lastly, look into your own heart, making sure you are not guilty of lies and deceit. Do not become like your accuser and discredit your integrity. We see shortcomings in others because we struggle with the same familiar sins.
It is cause for humility, as we seek the Lord's strength and forgiveness. By God's grace turn mischief into maturity, discord into concord, contentiousness into community, and pride into peace. Use your influence to lead yourself and your team to a higher standard of conduct sanctioned by your Lord Jesus. Conflict with the contentious is meant to grow your character. Hate what the Lord hates, while loving offenders through the process.
"When a man's ways are pleasing to the LORD, he makes even his enemies live at peace with him." Proverbs 16:7
Who do I need to confront in love about their divisive behavior?

My Thoughts About This = Miraculous Musings! J
Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! I put three because I heard the Voice of The Father, Son and Holy Spirit as I read this! LOL! Don't think the enemy can't trick you to sow dissension, that you are above it because you have been a Christian for a long time. Thank you for this piece, it was inspired and perfect in timing. I just spent a couple of days caught in the grip of choices I made not to trust God in a situation and this became a fast snowball on a ride to and through the briar patch of dissension with all its ugly prickers sticking in my soul. The choice of dissension came on the plate of control, not trusting God, trying to kindle a fire, make a man made light (Isaiah 50) instead of turning to God, letting HIM light up the situation with His wisdom, His ability to take the secrets of the dark and expose them to the Light of His Truth. It came on the heels of a big change I was transitioning through. I kindled a fire, I walked by a man made light, instead of by God's Light. I decided to take the role of the Holy Spirit and that translates directly into dissension. There is no other road when you take matters in your own hands, but that of dissension. And as Isaiah 50 says when you kindle your own fire and walk by the light of man made fire, you will lay down in torment. The choice for dissension is nothing more than moving out of alignment with God, following a divisive path set out by the enticing of your flesh to "fix things" and it ends up not being a solution but being a way that leads you to soul torment. I tried to "fix" something that I saw as "broken", now I realize when the common denominator of a "messy situation" is Jesus, you can confidently know that every life problem can be solved in His perfect way! He is the solution! He is the only one who can make a message out of a mess. We make dissension out of a human condition – He makes miracles out of a human condition. Oh please let the next chance He gives me be for HIM making the miracle and not me, making the mess. Thank you for this wisdom today. It has helped me face this situation and learn from it my failure and now with God's wisdom, future success. God is enough, He does not need me to "fix it"! He's Got This! May you never walk down a path of dissension, it is horrible torment in your soul. And know this, that the person who is being used as a voice of dissension, truly they are suffering in their soul. It is not all good for them either. We all need God, we all need His wisdom that leads us to let go and let God. He's Got This!

Poured Out
"Not so, my lord," Hannah replied, "I am a woman who is deeply troubled.
I have not been drinking wine or beer; I was pouring out my soul to the LORD."
1 Samuel 1:15
Sometimes your soul pours out in passionate prayer. The hurt is so deep, the loss so great, and the burden so heavy, that your soul exceeds earnest prayer. Your emotions increase in intensity to the point that your prayers become speechless. Somewhere between the bottom of your soul and the tip of your tongue the words evaporate. Sometimes your extra heavy heart feels constricted and emits groans that only the Holy Spirit can discern.
"In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express" (Romans 8:26). It's not only okay to go there, it's necessary. This level of soul-searching prayer is what brings peace to one painted with pain. After your soul has been delivered onto God's platter of prayer, you are able to rest in His peaceful presence. It is during this non-trivial travail in prayer that your soul finds solace.
As in childbirth, your pain progresses until it is released by God's act of grace and gravity. Your burden is birthed and becomes a blessing. Your hurt has been gestating for months, even years, so release it from your hurting soul. It has lodged itself deep within and, over time, has whittled away your joy. You have become hard to live with and you struggle to love yourself. Latch onto your Lord and don't let go, for He is there for you.
He is listening even when you don't speak or your communication is nothing but moans. Continue to seek the face of your heavenly Father, for He is there as a present hope. But hope deferred will keep your soul sick (Proverbs 13:12). It may seem silly to pour out your soul to the One you cannot see, yet faith serves as the eyes that gaze upon your heavenly Father. Soul care is His passion, for what you pour out in grief and resentment, He replaces with comfort and forgiveness.
Once you pour out your soul to your Lord, you can leave it with Him and move forward in the power and peace of the Holy Spirit. Fill your now emptied soul with your Savior, and let Christ cover you with confidence, serenity, and security. If you leave your soul empty of the eternal, Satan will fill you with the lingering lies of guilt and worry (Jesus explains this principle in Luke 11:24-26).
A poured-out soul gives the Lord more to work with. His love will lift you higher and higher to heights of affection that make angels envious. What is poured out, He fills; what is broken, He mends; what is hungry, He feeds; what is thirsty, He quenches; what is hurt, He nurses. Allow Jesus to be the keeper of your soul. His nurture and care are unparalleled. A soul made whole generates gratitude and generosity.
A soul poured out flushes out faithlessness and fear, allowing it to be filled with faithfulness and trust. People in denial may think you are strange or weak pouring out your soul to God. However, you know better, because this is the avenue to intimacy. When you pour out your soul to the Lord, He fills you up with Himself. A life full of Jesus is the best place to live. You can trust Him with this level of transparency. Don't doubt; just pour out.

My Thoughts About This = Miraculous Musings! J
I understand this kind of prayer, I have experienced it for a long period of time, it has been in place for the last 12 years of my life.
Living a Christian life is all about choices. I have to CHOOSE how I am going to live today. You have to decide who is in charge of your life today. We have to ask ourselves, "have I really given over every part of myself to Jesus or am I holding back a part of me from Him?" Pastor Elliott
Philippians 4: 6-7 Don't fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God's wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It's wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life. 1 John 4:18
There is no fear in love [dread does not exist], but full-grown (complete, perfect) love turns fear out of doors and expels every trace of terror! For fear brings with it the thought of punishment, and [so] he who is afraid has not reached the full maturity of love [is not yet grown into love's complete perfection].

I truly believe we are to be "called to God 1st" and out of that personal engagement with God, we will be seeking His Kingdom 1st. God won't keep you in the dark about whether you should work or should not work. When you are called to HIM 1st, He will guide you step by step, open the doors for you according to that which He has called you too. He is Your Provider and from every moment to every choice, He is Your Way-Maker. Everything you do, you do unto Him and I call that "working for Jesus" full out and All in with HIM. I believe the ways and the means, He takes care of. Look to HIM, He will show you that next step and He will provide for whatever He has called you too! God bless you! Kimberlymac

So true... our 1st call is to God, may we all get there, may we shake off this culturalism and realize we don't belong here, we are purposefully here for a time, KINGDOM purposes are in play all around us everyday, may we step into them, not what we want, but what HE wants, because His character is being built in us through what we are experiencing and we need to give way to HIS Sovereign Sway, be called to HIM 1st. Thank you Elbert LaGrew for being a great example of this for all of us. You are appreciated brother! God bless you huge!

Peace of mind comes from our Master, Jesus. He is the master of putting our mind at ease with His eternal perspective. It is trust in Him that gives us tranquil thoughts. Boyd Bailey
The world's peace is circumstantial; God's peace transcends circumstances. The world's peace is temporal; God's peace is eternal. The world's peace leads you to escape from God and reality; God's peace leads you to engage with both. Boyd Bailey
Prayer is not passive for our heavenly Father. He is interested in our intense circumstances and our heartfelt fears. Because we are His, He listens to and answers our prayers. It is not always the answer we expect it to be. He defines His will for us as much with his answers of "no" as He does with His answers of "yes." Boyd Bailey
Peace gives you a state of mind that thinks clearly and wisely. Peace positions you for right thinking. Do not impulsively barrel ahead without peace of mind. Emotions can play tricks on our trust and good sense. Boyd Bailey
Has the Holy Spirit surprised you with a detour in what you thought was God's will? Have you asked Jesus what blessing He wants to bestow on you and your family? Your spiritual struggle is not without spiritual significance. Blessings are birthed from friction and a feeling of resistance in your faith. Thus, embrace your confrontation with Christ and others as a prayerful process to build your character. His love will not let go of you! Stay engaged with the Almighty and experience His relentless favor. His desire for you is a partnership of prayer that produces a fulfilling life. Change is inevitable as you grow in your intimacy with the Lord. Boyd Bailey

Romans 12:11-12
11 Do not lack diligence; be fervent in spirit; serve the Lord.
12 Rejoice in hope; be patient in affliction; be persistent in prayer.
Has been another challenging week for you? It surely has for me. Have you faced some difficulties in your relationships at church? Work? Home? Did you realize that God's Word teaches us that this is a good thing? How much more do we grow when being tested? We studied that hard question not long ago at Faith Fellowship. We were digging deep into Paul's Letter to the Romans both Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings.
Time after time, I have heard people say, "I can't take it any more." Sometimes they are talking about their children who are caught up in drugs or alcohol; and sometimes those children are 40 years old! Most recently I hear people complain about the government. People also complain about their lack of money or inability to discipline (control) themselves.
We can always find something about which to complain. It has been my observation that people who are busy in the service of the Lord complain less than people who wait to be served. Believers who have been tested repeatedly and have disciplined themselves to seek opportunities for service are full of hope, and they are patient and powerful prayer warriors.
When you are tempted to whine about your lot in life - STOP! Ask the Lord for His guidance. Rejoice in His hope; be patient in affliction and persistent in prayer. He will reveal enough of His plan that you will stay busy in service. You will also prayerfully seek His will consistently, not just when you are troubled.
May God bless you today.

Wow… that hits home. Tough week for me, very tough! BUT God's hope, it keeps me and I know that everything in my life (because of the promise that He is not finished, that He is continually shaping me, molding me) is eventually…good. I hold on to that when it doesn't look so good, I hold on to the hope of that promise!
leadership wisdom from Ron edmondston blog
I am a fan of the term mentoring. I have been and had a mentor for over 25 years and can honestly say mentors have helped make my life better.
I've written several posts on mentoring previously:
5 Questions to Help You Know What to do with a Mentor
One question about mentoring I am consistently asked is, "What should a mentor do?" That's an obvious question. What do you do when you have been asked to be a mentor or you decide to intentionally recruit someone to mentor you? What role should the mentor play in the mentee's life?
Well, I don't believe the point of a mentor is to script another person's life. That's not what I've ever wanted from my mentors or what I've attempted to do with those I mentor. I can't share everything you may need in a mentor, but I can share what I have sought in one.
Here are 4 things I want in a mentor:
Help shape my path – Mentors have been used to help me make life altering decisions. Whether it was with career choices, marriage issues or character development, I need a mentor to help me make the major decisions in my life.
Allow me to learn from their experiences – Mentors have shared the good and bad elements of their life which has helped protect me from needless pain and guide me to better results. This is why I generally prefer mentors a generation ahead of me.
Help me me meet my goals – In business and in ministry, mentors have taught me valuable insights, discover paradigms, built principles into my life, which have helped me to be more successful in the things I hope to achieve.
Challenge me – Mentors have been there to encourage me to improve my life in areas of struggle, moments of fear, or in a resistance towards needed change. Mentors give an objective, but caring outside perspective that often gives me the nudge to do what I need to do.
My life wouldn't be the same without the mentors in my life. Who have been some of the mentors in your life?
What else would you want from a mentor?

Great Post! I'm soooooooo with you, I love the word mentor! I think another thing a mentor does is "point" ! They point you to God, to His promise, to His purpose, to His wisdom. They point up! Recently I have developed what we call prayer/mentors for our online campus. Being online as a church is a huge pioneering adventure. Did we really know what we were getting into! LOL! How do you take an online prayer that is "gut wrenching" that is typed into the chat and just say "we will pray for you"... it just wasn't enough. So we are developing online prayer/mentors and offering it to people. So far, it has really been sweet and seems to be a huge blessing! Oh The God Adventure! LOL! Have a great weekend.

As we get older, we transition into a different season of life, God doesn't change, He remains the same. We have a tendency to hold on to past things, He is constantly making us new, changing our life season and growing us. In a marriage it would seem that after you have been married 20 to 30 or so years, the adjustments would stop, you could settle in and just fly without turbulence. That is the human viewpoint and it leaves out the heavenly focus. As we get older, we tend to cling to life here harder, and our focus on nostalgia becomes greater, because we know life here is shorter. God wants us to cling to Him and dig our roots deeply in His Love, to desire our Kingdom home more than our earthly home. This is a season of our lives where this transition is grown through the most, the learning of a consistent Kingdom focus, the leaning into a Sovereign Sway. The world calls it mid life crisis, I call it intermediary revisioning. LOL! Realigning our focus from nostalgia to a Holy Alignment with Jesus!
Don't resist his work of renewal by clinging to your past or by trying to repeat it in your relationships with the Lord and with others. Kent Hansen
In a marriage, during this specific season of life, you both will be on this journey, making a holy alignment, and adjusting your position in Christ, realignment with all things Kingdom. Even in our mid life years, after all this time of learning and growing in Christ – God shakes things up, because He knows this is the time we will be tempted to dig our roots deeper in this earth because we start focusing on our age and we know there is not much time left and sometimes our focus shifts us, to wanting to preserve our "youth" to wanting to defy our aging and we a little bit at a time get out of alignment with God and we move away from our alliance with HIM, we move out of our today, trying to bring back our yesterday. We are called by our nostalgia more than we are by our God! This shakes up marriages, to the core of our unity. Basically at the root of it all is fear, satan uses fear of the changes our body is growing through and we both know that perfect LOVE casts out all fear.
This is the paradox of His power: Your weakness and emptiness mean that you have depleted self and are now in a position to be fully filled by Him. Ironically, now you are in a position of strength. Boyd Bailey http://wisdomhunters.com
We are changing and as we enter into our 50's our bodies will change, our lifestyles will require an adjustment and as our bodies get older, as we move into our 60's our spirit gets stronger, to where we feel much younger in spirit than we do in body. It is really the season for paradox! We have always felt the opposite, stronger in the flesh, weaker in the spirit, so this is a season of spiritual transition, where we adjust and reposition ourselves in Christ. It is a paradox, because our bodies are growing weaker and our spirits are growing stronger. It is this transition, where truly the spiritual battlefront, is to keep us from growing stronger spiritually, these are our most powerful years ahead of us as our body gets weaker, our spirit supernaturally gets strong. We feel so strong inwardly but our body can't keep up, we feel so young on the inside, but our body not so on the outside! The fight is on to keep us nostalgic, to keep us tied to our past and wanting to "feel" like we did yesteryears!
From my personal journal in 2010
I am experiencing restlessness like no other! I know I am called You, Lord God 1st and that You have always held me steady, but I can't shake this extreme restlessness. I am Restless with my life! I am changing, getting older, I am longing for yesterday. I am looking at my life and realizing that we, Bob and I have changed. It is not the same. I am restless in my marriage. I am nostalgic, so nostalgic, only happy when I look back and am in pursuit of the past, wanting what is back there, wanting to "feel" that way again. Bob and I have been a part for about six weeks because of work and I am doubting if I want to go with him. He has changed so much, I have changed so much! We are not the same. I want to stay here, just move on without him. I am doubting if I can "grow old" with him, if I want to go in the direction where he is going. We have changed, I have changed, my feelings are so jumbled up. I want what I can't have, I want to be the person I was, have the experiences I had. I want what we used to have. I am going to take a week off from everything, I am going to fully face you God. Please help me.
Do we humble ourselves to God's leading in the realities of the present or do we elevate our memories of what was or might have been to first place in our hearts and minds? Kent Hansen
During that fast God showed me that my restlessness came from looking back with "nostalgia" because I was afraid of growing old and all the changes that would bring. I was despising the feeling of "old" the looking of "old". I was chasing after my past more than I was God in my present. Fear led me to nostalgia, and it became a strong hold, knocking me out of holy alignment with God. God warned me to get my mind out of the past and move forward with Him, in complete followship and trust of Him. To repent and turn from my nostalgic pursuits and to submit myself wholly To HIM and to the future He has for me. So I am willfully getting up out of my nostalgia and putting my past and all my expectations in God's hands and waiting on Him with an active faith that does not despise a transition into a small beginning of later adulthood and a hope that faces forward to my real home and to expecting a suddenly in all things new and God Adventurous ahead of me in this season of life! God and I are growing together in the now, therefore Bob and I are also growing together in this new season of our marriage. Going to grow…
The One thing God used to shake me out of my "nostalgia" was actually a movie!! It is called The Chronicles Of Narnia - Voyage Of The Dawn Treader
This is the song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iCh-cLHJJjE
At the end of the movie, the king's son gets all the way up to the wall in his soul, the place where his search for "nostalgia" has led him and realizes it is an empty dream, trying to pursue the past and he turns away as he realizes that he was chasing so much after the past in nostalgia, that he was not serving God in the position of prince that God had put him in for a Kingdom purpose, that he had not taken care of the people in the now. He asks Asland-GOD for forgiveness and promises to let go of his search for past "nostalgia" and move forward and be the Prince God created him to be in the now….
From My Journal 2011……………………………….
Oh yes my enemy wants me to focus on "nothing is the same anymore" and I now say back… BUT GOD… AWE-GOD! Nostalgia for the past is an idol in me that must fall! This is the root of my restlessness! Who am I serving? God or my past? Is my affinity for my past causing me to not be called to God 1st, following God 1st? Help me Jesus, show me how to topple this idol of nostalgia for my past ministry life, marriage, life and home life and help me to move forward to where You are leading without turning my head back for a second glimpse of nostalgia, but learning to fully face YOU and the direction YOU are leading Bob and I! Lord I pray my life will be found in the Sweet Sovereign Sway of Your Will for me, not the Nostalgic- Nonsensical- Nervousness I have been experiencing lately. Fully Focus and Holy Aligned and in tune with Your heart passions I am going to grow through this new season of my life! AWE-GOD!
This quote may be for leadership, but OH… think of it in a marriage sense….. wow… because our marriages in the God institution of His marriage covenant are a living sacrament, an organism of God unity that is supernatural, powerful alive and growing each day!
Resting on past success is a disruption to future organizational growth, which ultimately impacts organizational health. Ron Edmundson
We have a future and a hope in our Savior, Jesus Christ = Jeremiah 29:11-12 and it is in this that we set our hope, not in the returning to our nostalgic past, because truly there is nothing of eternity there, our future is ahead, living and growing through, fighting the good fight of faith. There is a place for us, we don't fit here on earth, but there is a place for us… our hope must pay forward and in this there is no restlessness!
Oh Glorious faith! Your works and possibilities are these: contentment to set sail with the orders still sealed, due to unwavering confidence in the wisdom of the Lord High Admiral; and a willingness to get up, leave everything, and follow Christ, because of the joyful assurance that earth's best does not compare with heaven's least. F. B. Meyer
God has things for us to "grow through" in this season of life, He has plans for us, yet the temptation is to "go back" to yesterday where we felt more comfortable. This fight for our focus begins in our comfort zone, disturbs our marriages because it is not just one but both of us who are struggling to position our feet in Kingdom soil. Yes satan wants to destroy us, that has not changed, it has been that way since day one, but it seems to magnify in this season to us, only because we are changing, transitioning to a new season of life and always in the middle of a transition is where things heat up! What you 1st begin to notice is restlessness. It stirs your soul and it affects your marriage like no other. Then you begin to get nostalgia, and you begin to be focused on all this nostalgic. This is where the crisis of faith is either going to "grow you through" or get you stuck because nostalgia can become an idol that we worship in this season of our lives and the enemy uses it to destroy us. It eventually takes our focus off of God completely. We have to guard against it.
The problem with our nostalgic reverence for the past is that it keeps us from seeing what God is doing in us and for us and through us in the present. Kent Hansen
So in this season of our lives, where we are transitioning, getting older in body, satan goes after our alignment with God, tries to get a foot hold in the place where we are to keep us from moving forward in body, spirit and soul. God is with us now. He is in today, He is in the now. Today is where His Presence is, today is where His Purpose is, Today is where His Promise is, Today is where His Power is. Our enemy will bring up anything from our youth that is not settled and put it in our face and you can see as you look back at your life transitions, that this is the time he does that the most. We yearn for the "feeling" of yesterday, nostalgia is all over us! Years 16-20 transition to young adult… 25-35 transition to adulthood… 55-65 transition to senior adults…. 75 to 85 transitioning home… anything to get us looking back, focusing on the past and not the now. God wants us to transition into a "completely" and satan wants us to idolize our past and we can get stuck in a "nostalgic " focus. This really affects marriages because one person can break free and the other can be stuck and unity is destroyed. I was the one stuck… and I it wasn't about feeling restless in my marriage, feeling like I did not want to move ahead in my marriage, it was about not transitioning forward with God, being stuck in nostalgia, and having a nostalgic focus on my past that was draining my present of all life and growth.
Anyone who is going to move forward with the Lord is going to have to get their head out of the past. Kent Hanson

From My Journal 2011…………………………………………………………………………………..
1 THEREFORE THEN, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses [who have borne testimony to the Truth], let us strip off and throw aside every encumbrance (unnecessary weight) and that sin which so readily (deftly and cleverly) clings to and entangles us, and let us run with patient endurance and steady and active persistence the appointed course of the race that is set before us,2 Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of our faith [giving the first incentive for our belief] and is also its Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection]. He, for the joy [of obtaining the prize] that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising and ignoring the shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Just think of Him Who endured from sinners such grievous opposition and bitter hostility against Himself [reckon up and consider it all in comparison with your trials], so that you may not grow weary or exhausted, losing heart and relaxing and fainting in your minds. Amplified Bible
In no way is it enough to set out cheerfully with God on any venture of faith. You must also be willing to take your ideas of what the journey will be like and tear them into tiny pieces for nothing on the itinerary will happen as you expect. Your Guide will not keep to any beaten path. He will lead you through ways you would never have dreamed your eyes would see. He knows no fear, and He expects you to fear not while He is with you. L.B. Cowman Excerpt From Streams In The Desert
The day had gone; alone and weak
I groped my way within a bleak
And sunless land.
The path that led into the light
I could not find! In that dark night
God took my hand.
He led me that I might not stray,
And brought me by a safe, new way
I had not known.
By waters still, through pastures green
I followed Him—the path was clean
Of briar and stone.
The heavy darkness lost its strength,
My waiting eyes beheld at length
The streaking dawn.
On, safely on, through sunrise glow
I walked my hand in His, and lo,
The night had gone.

I just lived this out! I was so restless, the day was gone and I felt weak and I knew I needed to take a break from all things and just walk with God. I could not find my way out of the restlessness because God designed it that way, He knew I needed to stop my life before I stumbled over things in my heart that needed to be dealt with. He took my hand and led me by His Way and I followed Him all week as we delved into my soul and the dark restlessness lost it's hold on me as I submitted to God's cleansing and healing touch. He has shown me what to do to stay out of this darkness, to move forward in complete trust and followship. Thank you Jesus for an incredible week with you, I am so grateful that you love me enough to confront me, change me and encourage me!
Holy Spirit, Help Me Align My Life With This Word Of God Wisdom!
Isaiah 35: 1-6
THE WILDERNESS and the dry land shall be glad; the desert shall rejoice and blossom like the rose and the autumn crocus. 2 It shall blossom abundantly and rejoice even with joy and singing. The glory of Lebanon shall be given to it, the excellency of [Mount] Carmel and [the plain] of Sharon. They shall see the glory of the Lord, the majesty and splendor and excellency of our God. 3 Strengthen the weak hands and make firm the feeble and tottering knees. 4 Say to those who are of a fearful and hasty heart, Be strong, fear not! Behold, your God will come with vengeance; with the recompense of God He will come and save you. 5 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. 6 Then shall the lame man leap like a hart, and the tongue of the dumb shall sing for joy. For waters shall break forth in the wilderness and streams in the desert.

I said to him who stood before me, O my lord, by reason of the vision sorrows and pains have come upon me, and I retain no strength. 17 For how can my lord's servant [who is so feeble] talk with this my lord? For now no strength remains in me, nor is there any breath left in me. 18 Then there touched me again one whose appearance was like that of a man, and he strengthened me. 19 And he said, O man greatly beloved, fear not! Peace be to you! Be strong, yes, be strong. And when he had spoken to me, I was strengthened and said, Let my lord speak, for you have strengthened me.
Overwhelmed? Feeble? Cry Out To God! Lead Me To The Rock That Is Higher Than I! Daniel 10:16-
Hebrews 12:10-16
For [our earthly fathers] disciplined us for only a short period of time and chastised us as seemed proper and good to them; but He disciplines us for our certain good, that we may become sharers in His own holiness. 11 For the time being no discipline brings joy, but seems grievous and painful; but afterwards it yields a peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it [a harvest of fruit which consists in righteousness--in conformity to God's will in purpose, thought, and action, resulting in right living and right standing with God]. 12 So then, brace up and reinvigorate and set right your slackened and weakened and drooping hands and strengthen your feeble and palsied and tottering knees, 13 And cut through and make firm and plain and smooth, straight paths for your feet [yes, make them safe and upright and happy paths that go in the right direction], so that the lame and halting [limbs] may not be put out of joint, but rather may be cured. 14 Strive to live in peace with everybody and pursue that consecration and holiness without which no one will [ever] see the Lord. 15 Exercise foresight and be on the watch to look [after one another], to see that no one falls back from and fails to secure God's grace (His unmerited favor and spiritual blessing), in order that no root of resentment (rancor, bitterness, or hatred) shoots forth and causes trouble and bitter torment, and the many become contaminated and defiled by it-- 1 6That no one may become guilty of sexual vice, or become a profane (godless and sacrilegious) person as Esau did, who sold his own birthright for a single meal.

My Thoughts About This = Miraculous Musings! J
This is an appropriate scripture to end my fast and seeking God week with! It tells everything in His Voice that He has spoken to me this week. I need to make peace with my family as I follow after Him, I need to leave my past behind reconciled in peace as far as it depends on me. I need to strengthen my relationship with the Father God, because this will bolster up my feeble human condition. I need to not fear my future, because God does not fellowship with fear, He has never feared and does not want me to fear, but to trust Him completely. God has disciplined me using a strong restlessness and for that I am grateful, because during this time God exposed a dark place in my soul, an idol of nostalgia of my past and I have broken it by His Spirit and Truth and I am walking forward, leaving my past behind in followship of what God has for me today. My path is going in the right direction, I will not veer of course as I fully face my God and stop the habit of looking back with nostalgia for my past. This has caused feebleness in my soul. I have been charged by God to exercise foresight and be on the watch for others by exhorting and encouraging them with a heart of His compassion, because their story is my story and my story is their story because we share the same common denominator which is the Father God, we are His children and I commit to pray for them and mentor, hold them up and point them to Jesus, until they can stand positioned in His Grace and fully face Him, stepping out into the flow of His Kingdom Purposes. I am to continue to develop my AWE of God through a spoken gratefulness, a daily testimony of thanksgiving to AWE-GOD and develop community in the Bride of Christ founded upon this AWE of God! I am to work hard at my salvation by creating a spiritual habit where I make the right choice the 1st time. My 1st step out of bed every morning will be to bow down before my AWE-GOD in humble-respect and submissive-awe and every night before I go to bed, I will bow down in gratefulness for all He is in me and all He has done through me.
"But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble." Psalm 59:16 NIV
Psalm 4:4-8
Be angry [or stand in awe] and sin not; commune with your own hearts upon your beds and be silent (sorry for the things you say in your hearts). Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]! 5 Offer just and right sacrifices; trust (lean on and be confident) in the Lord. 6 Many say, Oh, that we might see some good! Lift up the light of Your countenance upon us, O Lord. 7 You have put more joy and rejoicing in my heart than [they know] when their wheat and new wine have yielded abundantly. 8 In peace I will both lie down and sleep, for You, Lord, alone make me dwell in safety and confident trust.

Okay, I will give you my wordy explanation of course… because I am very "chatty" LOL..
M means meet with God… to me that means heart to heart, fully facing HIM – fully focused on Him.
E means examine the Word and to me that means tuning everything out, but the Word, letting it sink into my soul – like I do when I eat chocolate… it is the best ever experience and I am fully focused on that taste!
A means apply and that to me means take a look at my life right now, where does that fit, where can I change to be more like it, what is God saying to me now.. it means listening…
L means list, that is my favorite one because I love to journal… journaling has opened up a whole world of clarity to me. It helps clarify what God is saying to me when I journal. So I list things in a prayer way, whatever God has applied to me, I pray it, listing it out before God in a prayer…
Does that help… I am sure you would rather have me have said… M.-eet E.-xamine A.-pply L.-isten. But you gotta love wordy old me! LOL!
Developing My AWE-GOD With An Attitude Of Gratitude!
2012 AWE-GOD Gratefulness. I am so grateful for my "Paradoxical" God who does things in Kingdom ways that I don't understand and when I obey HIM, it affects me greatly! I am so grateful for my paradoxical – proverbish – parableistic God! He amazes me! I just mailed a letter to a company forgiving them of a debt of 55 thousand dollars that they have owed our company for 7 years (interesting the number 7 years) I feel like a weight has been lifted off my soul. I did not EXPECT to feel that way at all! What a paradox! When my husband told me God said for him, our company, to forgive the 7 year debt and write it off, I was so skeptical and thought: That is not fair to our company that is dead in the water right now! How could that be God? But I went with my husband's wisdom and followed after his obedience. God is so amazing how He works in such a "paradoxical" Kingdom way. AWE-GOD! He works from the inside out! How incredibly paradoxical! I love and appreciate that about our GOD!
