Increase My Worship

More Focused On You, Less About Me!

More Of Your Kingdom,

Less Of This World

ALL IN WITH YOU

AWE-GOD!

Psalm 62: 5-6

My soul, wait only upon God and silently submit to Him; for my hope and expectation are from Him. 6 He only is my Rock and my Salvation; He is my Defense and my Fortress, I shall not be moved.

Isaiah 41:10-16

Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.'

M.eet!

Lord, there is so much to learn of YOU and YOUR Wisdom and Ways. I pray by Your Holy Spirit that YOU open up YOUR Word to me, help me to see things that can change me to be more like YOU, being more focused on Your Kingdom than this earth. Help me to learn and change so I can share with others too.

E.xamine!

Philppians 2: 14-15 Do all things without grumbling and faultfinding and complaining [against God] and questioning and doubting [among yourselves]. That you may show yourselves to be blameless and guileless, innocent and uncontaminated, children of God without blemish (faultless, unrebukable) in the midst of a crooked and wicked generation [spiritually perverted and perverse], amongh whom you are seen as bright lights (stars or beacons shining our clearly) in the [dark] world.

Our lives as Christians shine like light in the spiritual darkness of the world. Joyce Meyer

A.pply!

Grumbling is putting a voice to your discontentment from inner to outer

Faultfinding is blaming your discontentment on someone or something

Complaining is adding a loud selfish attitude to your discontentment

Complaining to God is discontentment with driven by a rebellious attitude, it is also sin

Questioning God! Why God Why? Is mistrusting His intentions, it is a form of unbelief=sin

Doubt is the expression of discontentment in the context of not believing God is in control

Do all things without Grumbling, Faultfinding, Complaining, Questioning God, Doubt…

How? Well all of these have a self-focus on what we want, on our comfort and are all about us.

Focus is key. Staying fully focused on God, on His Kingdom purposes on the reason we are here which is not about ourselves.

If we live a selfless life, putting God 1st, being content with where He plants us, then we will shine as HIS in a world that is so self focused.

Selfless and Kingdom Focused we will be:

Blameless= innocent – faultless – unrebukeable- guilt free

Innocent= not guilty – above reproach -

Guileless= ingenuous – honest - straightforward

Uncontaminated= pure – unpolluted

L.ist!

Lord God in my culture there are a lot of things that I could do without, things that contaminate my life with self centered wants. Help me to walk in such a way that I keep my spirit above reproach and focused on Kingdom things.

There are not many people who you can say tell the whole truth. Many exaggerate, tell white lies, misrepresent the truth, spin things and make them seem like truth. Not many truthful people at all, in fact if you find someone who is fully and wholly truthful it is like a breathe of fresh air, a bright light in the darkness, let this be so in me, the fullness of truth, ALL-In with truth

Our culture is so contaminated by many things that we worship, desire and want in our lives here. I want my spirit to be cleansed of the contamination of worldly desires and saturated with Kingdom things. I want to be unpolluted by this culture of ease and excess and live a selfless life that is not easily rebuked by those who selfishly desire the center of attention.

Developing My AWE-GOD With An Attitude Of Gratitude!

2012 AWE-GOD Gratefulness! Today I want to express my gratefulness to God for being my Way-Maker and showing me along the way His Miraculous Moments. I am so thankful for a God Who is always active, always showing us He is working. Even as we wait, we can have miraculous moments, where God reveals His hand in our situations to encourage us, to build our faith to give us hope as we persevere, waiting for a breakthrough. I love those miraculous moments, and am very thankful for a glimpse of His purposes in play in my life. I love You Lord. Omnipresent Reality Check! YES! God's purposes are in play in my life! AWE-GOD!

****My Prayer! For The Guatemala Mission Team – Pastor Kevin & Julie! I Place All My Expectation In You, Almighty God!*****

Psalm 62:5 (amplified) My soul, wait only upon God and silently submit to Him; for my hope and expectation are from Him. He only is my Rock and my Salvation; He is my Defense and my Fortress, I shall not be moved.

Because Pastor Kevin is out on a mission trip, we His online servant leadership family, should be alert and aware in prayer for him and his precious family. Join me and pray for Pastor Kevin, Julie and his family, until he gets back on American soil and back with his family. It is the least we can do. We are his family! AWE-GOD! I am praying through Psalm 18 for them the next 10 days! That is five verses a day! I love praying the Word, to me that is like…double powerful! LOL! Have a great Tuesday! Lv ya all!

Psalm 118: 1-6 I LOVE You fervently and devotedly, O Lord, my Strength.2 The Lord is my Rock, my Fortress, and my Deliverer; my God, my keen and firm Strength in Whom I will trust and take refuge, my Shield, and the Horn of my salvation, my High Tower. 3 I will call upon the Lord, Who is to be praised; so shall I be saved from my enemies. 4 The cords or bands of death surrounded me, and the streams of ungodliness and the torrents of ruin terrified me.5 The cords of Sheol (the place of the dead) surrounded me; the snares of death confronted and came upon me.6 In my distress [when seemingly closed in] I called upon the Lord and cried to my God; He heard my voice out of His temple (heavenly dwelling place), and my cry came before Him, into His [very] ears.

My Thoughts About This = Miraculous Musings! J

Worthy News Brief @worthyemail.com

Kimberly, hope for the hopeless!

Jonah 3:4 And Jonah began to enter into the city a day's journey, and he cried, and said, Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown.

When the prophet Jonah entered Nineveh, he gave a message of hopelessness -- in 40 days your city will be destroyed! He did not say, Nineveh will be destroyed "unless", but emphatically prophesied destruction to the people of the city -- seeming to say their situation was hopeless. Yet hearing this message Nineveh repented, and because their repentance was genuine God spared the city for a season and many lives were saved. Jonah's prophecy of judgment was averted, and Nineveh's destiny was changed by their response to the deep conviction from a message of doom. That's how it is with God. He is so compassionate, so longing to forgive and restore people to Himself, that He seems to "change His mind" showing how His mercy triumphs over judgment.

Kimberly, is there a "prophecy of doom" over your life? Are your sins piled so high that God's judgment seems irrevocable and imminent? Don't despair ... repent! With our compassionate God there is hope even when it seems all is lost. You may have wandered very far from Him -- but if Nineveh, a pagan city, hardened and ripe for judgment and "hopelessly" heading toward destruction, could be saved -- shouldn't you also have hope if you turn back to the Lord? Don't give up – with Yeshua (Jesus) there is always hope!

Your family in the Lord with much agape love George, Baht Rivka, Elianna & Obadiah

Negev Desert, Israel

God always makes a way out. He is my Way-Maker. Lately I have been feeling like I don't deserve the Way-Out God seems to be opening the door for. 7 years ago, we made a really bad financial decision. We were trying to "do" instead of being God's. We kindled our own fire (Isaiah 50:10-11) and walked by the light of a man made fire and for the last 7 years we have laid down in torment. Our impulsive decision to "fix things" our way really back fired on us and we walked right into a deceptive trap. We had two mortgages we were putting them into one mortgage and we were cashing out some of our equity to pay for the construction of our home addition and my daughter's wedding which was only a month out. We had asked for a 30 year fixed mortgage and everything was signed and approved but a couple days before the closing the mortgage officer said she was not going to be able to do that "at this time", she said she had to give us two "mortgages" and in six months we could take those two "mortgages" and roll them back into one 30 year fixed. It was an amazing "bait and switch" and we fell for it because we were trying to "fix" something without God. We should have turned to GOD at that point, instead we turned to man and man deceived us. We went back in six months to get the loans changed and the mortgage officer told us we could not do it right now, had to wait another year and then we went back in another year and of course they told us they could not do it. At that point we pulled out of that bank. We tried unsuccessfully 3 times at other places to refinance. For the next seven years we struggled with two "mortgages" with very high rates and very crazy "simple" interest. Recently as we sent to apply for a federal mortgage program, we found out that we did not even have "mortgages" we had home equity notes. What a scam! We fell right into it because we tried to make our own way. When we found out we had home equity loans, it triggered the interest of the current loan officer who felt that we also had been "scammed"! Because of this, a door has been opened for us to try to put these two "home equity" loans together, get rid of them and get a really good interest rate. Our house has to appraise up to 238 Thousand in order for that to happen. In the last three years we have already put out 1200.00 for three other appraisals which failed because of the upside-down economy. We stopped trying for a couple of years, because we could see it was obvious that the change that needed to take place was not in our mortgage, not in the economy, but in our hearts. God wanted us to completely trust HIM, to fully walk with HIM in our finances and fully face HIM and wait on HIM with our every decision! No more compartmentalizing God, He wanted to be ALL-IN with us, because HE had proven that He was ALL-IN by sending His Son Jesus to die just for our salvation and justification. He wanted what He had already paid for, the rights to be a part of our lives, the just as if we never sinned rights that allow us into HIS Presence whenever we want. He desired to be a part of ALL of our lives, every decision and make a miraculous moment out of every minute of our lives because He was part of it. No compartmentalizing! The financial and economical, jobless trials allowed in our lives by HIM have torn down the compartments and now He freely reigns in our lives. The consequences of our choices still plagued us, but the newly found freedom in Christ was our delight. WE are ALL-IN with God, our relationship with HIM no longer has compartments that He is not ruling in. A door has opened in a miraculous way for us to get the house refinanced at 85 percent loan to value with a 3.5 percent interest rate! We have to have the house appraised and it has to appraise up to 238thousand, which should be absolutely no problem because the house value is 275, but the market values have dropped so much that we will need a miracle of God's Favor. Since the last three failed appraisals, I have not wanted to try again these last two years, I felt this was a consequence of our impulsive dependency on our flesh 7 years ago and I felt like we were going to have to live with the bad mortgages we had. Today God showed me through this little thing we have together about pennies. God gives me pennies and when He does that, I pick them up and I know He is providing for me. It is kind of "our thing"! He uses pennies to show me that whatever and however He provides for me, I need to accept it with gratitude and contentment. Every time I find pennies in my pathway, I know He is going to provide something for me miraculously. Today, my phone would not turn on and I had to take out the battery compartment. As I took the cover off of the battery compartment, a shiny 2012 penny dropped out of it. Lately I have felt I don't deserve to be let out of the mess we created in our mortgages, but when that penny fell out and I knew no human being could have put it there, I knew God was speaking to my heart that HE Would provide for us in 2012 in HIS Way, by His provision, He would make a way out and have mercy upon the consequences we have endured for 7 years because of our impulsive decision. It was so cool to have a "miraculous moment" with my AWE-GOD! I love you Lord. Thank you for Your Mercy!

Graced Again! leadership wisdom from Ron edmondston

Here are 7 habits of successful leaders:

Prioritizing each day – Everyday we are flooded with opportunities. Some are good. Some are bad. Some are best. You often won't know until you try on some of them, but successful leaders strive everyday to identify and do that which is the best use of their time.

Yielding to experience – Successful leaders know they must seek the input from others for continued success. There will always be someone with more experience in a subject. Many times that person will be someone the leader is supposed to be leading. Successful leaders surround themselves with people smarter they they are, especially in areas of their weaknesses. They are never afraid to ask, "Can you help me?" Pretending to have all the answers can destroy a leader. When a leader is willing to humble him or herself and solicit input, the team feels validated and the best answer is discovered.

Networking – Iron sharpens iron. The most successful leaders I know have a network of other successful leaders around them. They glean from each other, share war stories and help each other when needed. The sheltered leader will seldom reach his or her full potential.

Continuous learning – Successful leaders are sponges for new information. They are continually reading, taking notes, and exploring new ideas and ways of doing things.

Maintaining health – Successful leaders learn to balance the demands on them by remaining healthy physically, mentally, spiritually and relationally, as much as it depends on them. No one can escape sudden tragedy or the trials of life, but successful leaders weather those storms by being as prepared as possible before they arrive.

Willing to make hard decisions – Successful leaders don't allow fear, intimidation or friendship to keep them from making the right decisions for the organization they lead. Leading doesn't always make a person popular, but successful leaders care more about the greater purpose than their personal advancement.

Commitment to a higher purpose – Successful leaders are striving for something bigger than themselves…bigger than the reality of today. For me personally, this is my passion for the Gospel of Jesus Christ, but successful leaders are willing to endure the loneliness of leadership, the stress of leading, and the pressure to perform at higher levels, because they believe in something worth the fight.

Those are my observations.

What would you add?

My Thoughts About This = Miraculous Musings! J

I like the continuous learning one, no matter how long you have served, you still can learn. I like learning and growing, I really like having fresh revelation that I get as the Holy Spirit leads me to read and study and learn from others, that is too cool!

I probably would add that successful leaders "habitually" keep the word servant in front of leadership; they are habitually "servant leaders". I don't mean servants 1st to people, I mean they serve God 1st before their ministry; they are called to God 1st and enjoy a vibrant, passionate, worshipping relationship with AWE-GOD, so their passion for serving God comes from internal relationship with God, not external peer pressure. Their leadership is aligned and realigned in a holy alignment with God 1st. They serve HIM and He matters more than anything, and that way they don't have a tight, tight grip on ministry, but on Jesus! A Servant Leader Simply Significantly Serves God 1st And The Fruit Of That Is Seen In JOY! Jesus – Others – You!

Comment By Bruce:

Most leaders are also narcissistic in the extreme, vicious tempers, arrogant, mostly divorced, believe that they live by a different rule book, check Steve Jobs , most televangelists, most Mega Church Past, but then look at Jesus??? lets stop looking at supposed achievements and look at character instead, the paths of most leaders are covered with the bodies of there co-workers :-(

My Thoughts About This = Miraculous Musings! J

Wow… You have such a different perspective of leadership. I guess perspective is sometimes shaped by experiences you have encountered in life. I have had some negative experiences with leaders too. But my perspective is a bit different from yours and it started when I decided to live what Psalm 62:5 said: To put all my hope and expectation in Jesus. Human beings will let us down but God does not. When I have been hurt by a leader, I have to decide to either let it make be bitter or better. I could blame a specific leader who hurt me and say he held me back, I could spend my time being lame or I could fully face my God and let my relationship perspectives come out of that vertical relationship with God. You will not find me relating to people in a horizontal way from me to them, unless I have 1st a unbreakable vertical relationship with God. Seeing things through God's eyes, understanding how Jesus, the King of Heaven was willing to "abase" himself so we could have life, it really helps your perspective when you deal with a leader who disappoints you. I pray you begin to see things through God's eyes and continue to walk in a vertical relationship with God 1st before you engage in horizontal relationship with people. It is a really enlightening way to deal with the failures of others, so that they don't derail the mission God has for you. The human condition always aggravates us on our way, but GOD is our peace, He promised that and He told us to do everything we could to make peace with others and then move forward with HIM!

Comment:

1. Act on the small picture - (some what similar to prioritize the day) It is often said that Leaders need to focus on the big picture (where we are going). The big picture is important but what needs to happen today? Lead to the future but also lead today.
2. Delegate responsibility. Don't just give people tasks to do, but give them responsibility. Give them the freedom to get the job done their way. It may not be perfect, but it takes a burden off you, and it also helps raise up new leaders.

My Thoughts About This = Miraculous Musings! J

That is good! Because we do forget to lead today when we are too focused on tomorrow! Sometimes too, that makes people who serve with us feel "invisible" because we need to "be where we are"!

I like what you said about it may not be perfect… true and the reason I like it is because my perception of "perfect" my not be their "perfect" but still qualifies as "perfect"….

12  Therefore, my dear ones, as you have always obeyed [my suggestions], so now, not only [with the enthusiasm you would show] in my presence but much more because I am absent, work out (cultivate, carry out to the goal, and fully complete) your own salvation with reverence and awe and trembling (self-distrust, with serious caution, tenderness of conscience, watchfulness against temptation, timidly shrinking from whatever might offend God and discredit the name of Christ).13  [Not in your own strength] for it is God Who is all the while effectually at work in you [energizing and creating in you the power and desire], both to will and to work for His good pleasure and satisfaction and delight.

Amplified Bible

A.pply!

THEREFORE…. What went before was a picture about Jesus, His humility and abased life style of a servant warrior. How low Jesus went so that we could be saved and how HIGH God exalted HIM.

Do you show enthusiasm and Christianity in the presence of others you want to please? When they are not around how do you act?

Cultivating- Carry Out - Complete My Salvation:

Reverence: Bowing Before God – Laying My Life Before Him With AWE Of Who He Is

Self Distrust: No Dependence On My Flesh Dependence Completely On God

Serious Caution: Aware Of God's Presence; Not Living A Sloppy Life- Guarding My Heart

Tenderness Of Conscious: Leaning Into The Sovereign Sway Of God's Way

Watchfulness: Being Alert To Temptations Of The Flesh – Spiritually Aware

Shrinking From Sin: God And His Ways Increasing In Me Daily – Less Of The Flesh – More God

NOT in my own strength. This is a key part of this verse, a key part of living the Christian life. I can't do it, God can do it through me.

If I Let Go And Let God How Can He Work In Me:

Effectually: With great effect-result-consequence; completely;

Effect: Influence-Intent-Essence

Energizing: Revitalizing – Stimulating – Refreshing - Reviving

Creating Passion In Me – Desire For His Will

God Created Passion makes me want to please God more than anything or anyone else

I desire to delight God with my life, it comes from within, influenced by God

L.ist!

  • Lord God create in my heart an abasement, a humility that trumps my "human rights" "human condition" "human flesh"!
  • I pray Holy Spirit, You lead me to develop my AWE of God, creating in my heart a deeply trenched respect where my emotions flow through
  • Revitalize my heart each day as I bow before YOU, stimulate my desires with a passion for what Your Heart yearns for
  • Not in my own strength! I pray to know how to develop a complete dependence. Teach me Holy Spirit to be content in all things; help me know how to adjust in times of change and learn to be connected to my future hope more than this temporary world.
  • I want to desire God most! I want to love God more every day. I want to please God because of the passion and desire of my inner heart, not because of external pressures.

Graced Again! leadership wisdom from Ron edmondston

Here are 7 elements of my strategy for the beginning days:

Get to know key leaders – I am trying to get to know the staff and key Influencers in the church. I believe God uses the influence of others to build His church, so I want to know who I will be working with in the days to come. Think of it this way. If Moses was implementing the Jethro method, his primary energy would need to be communicating and investing in those leaders he enlisted to lead others. I'm using that approach. If I hope to make any substantial changes I'll need these influencers support.

Let people get to know me – For an introvert it's been exhausting, but I've been very visible in the early days. In fact, in my ministry I'm usually always very accessible, just as I am online. I have written before (HERE) that I may not always be available but I can always be accessible. I want them to feel comfortable with me and trust my leadership, so I think they need to see me frequently, even more so in the beginning days of my pastorate.

Set my initial vision – People want to know where I am going with my leadership. I set an initial 7 part vision for the people. I really wanted 3 or 4 initial initiatives, but I landed on 7. They are all things I'm passionate about implementing. Some will gets started faster than others, but the church seems anxious to get behind all of them.

Identify quick wins – I'm looking for some things I can immediately impact and change for good. These are things I believe everyone can agree with, don't require a lot of resources or long debates. There were a few minor paperwork nuisances that impacted staff were happy I changed, for example. I invested some energy in some areas of ministry that never received a lot of attention. Those areas are especially excited.

Do the unexpected – It seems like such a small deal, but I roam the balcony on Sunday morning. It takes a little more time, but it has proven to be a big deal. I talk to the person who will be changing my slides on the screen prior to the service. That's been a surprise to them. They say it's never happened before, but it's proven to be a big deal. I'm roaming the halls of the offices during the day, walking into people's offices, and allowing drop ins to my office when I'm available. All unexpected, but bringing very positive feedback.

Pace myself – I realize I'm only one person and although everyone wants some of my time right now and there are more ideas than we could ever accomplish, I know I will burnout if I don't pace myself. That's meant I am saying no to some things…really many things. It isn't easy to say no to such eager people, for me or them, but I know it will prove best in the end if I'm able to last for the long run.

Move slowly on the biggies – Being honest, there are some big items I'd like to change now. I am wise enough, however, to know that some changes are too big to launch quickly. I could. I'm in a honeymoon period. I could probably "get away with them", but the people don't really know me yet. I may win a battle, but lose the war. (Not that there is a battle. Just using a cliche. Why do I even have to say that?)

I'll continue to update along the way. What questions do you have for me?

That's how I'm operating these days. Ever been the new guy…the new pastor? What advice do you have for me?

My Thoughts About This = Miraculous Musings! J

I am constantly the "new person"! My husband is a traveling construction superintendent. His company puts him up in the state where the job is for as long as needed until it is finished. The only thing stable in my life is my online church ministry (wherever I go, it goes) and a home in the MTNS that we come home to every now and then. The most hardest transition for me every time we move (which is usually every 8mths to a year) is that I have not changed, I am still a seasoned servant who has been trained and equipped by God and have served in many types of ministries. But, people don't trust you, yes Christians… they don't trust you when you come into a new church. You are stepping into their family room as a stranger. I have found you can't come in dragging the past with you, telling them everything that you "used" to do; you have to find a place to fit in the God Purposes that are in play in their living room. Every time we move, we have to find a new church, and every time they require you to go through their "new members class" 101, 201… etc before you can serve. I used to resent it so much… not another "new members class"… but I realized even though I may be more trained and experienced more ministry then all of them combined, I need to come into the situation like Jesus did with a heart that is "abased", willing to lay down my rights and step into the Kingdom Purposes that are already in play!

A Seasoned Servant Of God Has Encouraged Me Today

Proverbs 9:7-8
7 The one who corrects a mocker will bring dishonor on himself; the one who rebukes a wicked man will get hurt.
8 Don't rebuke a mocker, or he will hate you; rebuke a wise man, and he will love you.

A wise man once said, "If you argue with a fool you are lowering yourself to be one".

I love to read the emails from my friend, Myer Karp, a Jewish believer who lived as a missionary in Israel for many years.  He has an insight that few in America have concerning the situation in Israel and the Middle East.  In the spirit of the scripture above, read this from Myer and pray for Israel.

THE NEW FACE OF EGYPT

"Israelis are "rapists" and it is a necessity for every Muslim to save Jerusalem from their clutches" Muhamammab Badi is reported to have said last Thursday. Badi is the Supreme Leader of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood organization.

According to last Thursday's edition of AL Wafd, an Egyptian daily newspaper, during his weekly sermon Madi confirmed the necessity for every Muslim to strive to save al-Quds (Jerusalem) from the hands of the rapists (Israelis) and to cleanse Palestine from the clutches of the occupation. He deems this as an individual duty for all Muslims.

More specifically, he, "called on all Muslims to wage Jihad (holy war) with their money and their selves to free al-Quds. Badi further stated that Muslims must enable the displaced Palestinians to "return to their homes".

Last month, Egyptians elected Mohammed Morsi of the Muslim Brotherhood Party as the first democratically elected president of Egypt since the ouster of Hosni Mubarak. At a June 5, 2011 political rally, Morsi is quoted as saying the following to his future supporters:

"Our capital shall be Jerusalem!"

"Millions of martyrs march towards Jerusalem!"

"Banish the sleep from the eyes of all Jews!"

"You lovers of martyrdom, you are all Hamas!"

"Jerusalem is our goal!"

This is the same Morsi who has been invited to the White House in September by President Obama. He has conveniently given up his membership in the Muslim Brotherhood Party as of his inauguration but his roots there are deep and his resignation is in words only. I would love to be a fly on the wall of the meeting between these two presidents.

Israel may well be losing a peace partner on her very southern border, a partner who now lifts up jihad and Hamas who practices it. While there is still much friction internally in Egypt and questions about who is really in control, we must pray that Israel's neighbor to the south is not added to the number of Middle East countries hell bent on her destruction.

Blessings,

Myer Dennis Karp

final note from Elliott:

Hillary Clinton has promised hundreds of millions of dollars to support this new radical Muslim regime in Egypt.  Let's pray that we get a new President in November who will support Israel and prevent the curse of God upon this nation for turning our backs on His people.

My Thoughts About This = Miraculous Musings! J

Oh My Goodness...

We live in such interesting times! One thing is for sure, we need to dig our roots deeper in God's Gospel and cling tightly to our future and HOPE in Him! This is HIS World and I don't doubt that He has purposefully set up the Kings, Presidents and leadership of every nation for a time such as this. He is working out HIS purposes, putting them in play. He has a plan and it all leads to our future. We belong to HIM and He is a faithful God. My prayer is for this nation to return to God, to walk in HIS Ways, my prayer for myself always used to be: Lord, please be more in me and make me less… and now I tag this on to it… Give me a passion for Your Kingdom more than I have for this world, more of Your Kingdom in my life, less of this world. I am not totally sure what our national election results will be in November, but no doubt about it, God has a plan and with every breath I have left this side of heaven, I hope to be in step with His Kingdom purposes in play in His Sovereign Will for this world.

We are living in crazy times. Times where anything goes -- and anything can happen. And there is really only one insurance company that has been found truly faithful to help us in our time of need through it all. No, it's not Red Cross, or Blue Cross... It's THE Cross! What's more, this insurance doesn't cost us a thing! You'd think more people would jump on this deal, wouldn't you? Yeshua (Jesus) already paid for it with His hard-earned blood sweat and tears, on the cross two thousand years ago.

Kimberly, let's invest in our heavenly insurance today and not forget to spread the word of it! There's so much work to be done! Your family in the Lord with much agape love, George, Baht Rivka, Elianna & Obadiah Negev Desert, Israel

Invest is a word that jumps out at me. I do need to invest and I need to invest my whole self: body, soul, spirit, will and be ALL-IN with AWE-GOD! I don't know enough. I need to study, I need to know God more, I need to be able to stand upon HIS Word. In this generation where the human condition has run crazy wild, the only thing I truly need is JESUS. I hope to be able to serve YOU, Jesus during these times, to be available to YOU, to love YOU and YOUR Kingdom! You invested YOUR Life for me, I pray I can do the same. Help me Holy Spirit!

God's Already Provided

"He [Jesus] replied, "You give them something to eat." They answered, "We have only five loaves of bread and two fish—unless we go and buy food for all this crowd." Luke 9:13

God is not passive in His provision. He aggressively applies His resources directly to the felt need of His children. But His works are outside the small box of unbelief. The Lord's faithfulness flourishes where the soul fluently speaks the language of faith. The Holy Spirit traffics freely on the highway of a trusting heart. Man's natural eye limits the Lord's supernatural supply, but an eternal gaze engages His possibilities.

Sometimes we find ourselves in situations where it seems like we lack the Lord's provision. The resources right in front us look like they are limited, without suitable capacity. Can Christ be creative with what He has already given us? Yes, of course, if we are obedient to follow His directives. Faith says yes to God's "what", even when His "how" is unclear. Many times God has already provided for His children. The provision may seem disguised in its unconventional appearance, but nonetheless it is still very near.

"So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:18

Like an explorer on the verge of discovering a valuable treasure, so you may be one step of obedience away from discovering Christ's treasure trove of blessings. What are you facing that requires Jesus to provide? Is it wisdom? He is wisdom. Is it peace? He is the Prince of Peace. Is it comfort? He weeps with compassion. Is it direction? He is the Bright and Morning Star. Is it forgiveness? He forgives. His provision precedes the need.

The possibilities of God's provision begin to be defined by numbering the grains of sand in the sea. Jesus is asking you to take the step of faith where you are, so He can take you to where you need to be. Christ wants to change you, before He changes your circumstances. He is building your trust to make you trustworthy with His blessings. Like mighty vessels that only cross deep channels of water, so you are the Lord's valued vessel to deliver His unfathomable blessings to others. Perhaps His provision is you!

"Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God." Mark 10:27

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I trust you to provide in Your timing, show me the next step.

God Is Our Way-Maker! An Incredible Ingenuous Provider! Quote By Boyd Bailey: "God's provision precedes the need." Trust HIM Completely! God knows what He is doing, He has a plan and His purposes are in play right now. Lean into the Sovereign Sway of God, instead of leaning on your human understanding. God purposes are unseen, yet they will eventually breakforth in the fullness of His Glory-Glowing His Sovereign Solution in our every life equation!

I do believe in God because there is nowhere in my life I turn, that He is not there in great witness of His life, His love, His power, His glory. I believe in HIM completely and I realize more and more everyday that no one, nothing and no situation has stopped God from being. He is, He was and He will be. His Witness, HIS Gospel, His Word has stood the test of time from the beginning until now and will continue to do so... No Doubt About IT! I believe!

It is only when we silent the blaring sounds of our daily existence that we can finally hear the whispers of truth that life reveals to us, as it stands knocking on the doorsteps of our hearts.

Joyce Meyer: Promises for Your Everyday Life - a Daily Devotional

John 4:23  A time will come, however, indeed it is already here, when the true (genuine) worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth (reality); for the Father is seeking just such people as these as His worshipers. (Amplified Bible)

Be a True Worshiper

Worship is so much more than just singing songs. It is a condition of the heart and a state of mind. We can even worship God passionately without singing a single note. Our worship for God is born in our hearts, it fills our thoughts, and it is expressed through our mouths and through our bodies.

The world often thinks of worship as "religion," which could not be further from the biblical concept of worship. It's about a personal relationship, spiritual intimacy and passionate expressions of devotion from people who love God with all their hearts. This is true worship.

The Bible says that God is seeking those who worship Him 'in spirit and in truth."

I find it interesting that He does not want just anybody to worship Him. He wants true and genuine people. He does not want to be worshiped out of fear, obligation or religion.

True worship is a result of intimacy with God. Worship God today with your whole heart, and be a worshiper in spirit and in truth!

Prayer Starter: Lord, I don't just want to offer You lip service. Instead, I give my life to You as a true worshiper, intimately connected with You. You are so good to me and I want to worship You 'in spirit and in truth."

It is not about how hard we try or the things we "do", for it is GOD WHO is always at work in us, enlivening the passion and desire to love HIM with all our heart, soul, mind, will and spirit. I pray a week like this for all of us! Happy Monday!

Red Sea Rule 1

"REALIZE THAT GOD MEANS FOR YOU TO BE WHERE YOU ARE"

Sometimes we turn to things of this world to try not to remember what we cannot forget. Robert J. Morgan We need to FULLY Face #AWE-GOD

Trapped in our circumstances, we sometimes are "growing through" prolonged periods of pain and pressure. We are afraid, hurting and facing impossibilities as our situation is so out of our control. We need to realize that God means for us to be right where we are. He is with us! He is for us!

http://youtu.be/UbSMfL5LuSo Thoughts From The Book The Red Sea Rules By Robert J. Morgan

Worry is a small trickle of fear that meanders through the mind, cutting a channel into which all other thoughts flow. Robert J. Morgan

Worry is putting question marks where God has put periods. Robert J. Morgan

Worry is a form of atheism that betrays a lack of trust and faith in God. Bishop Fulton Sheen

When God places us in difficult situations we can accept it and begin to turn every worry into a prayer and every fear into faith. Robert J. Morgan

The Lord occasionally tests our faith by leading us into hardship, teaching us wisdom, showing us His Ways. When you are in a difficult place, realize that the Lord either placed you there or allowed you to be there, for reasons perhaps known for now only to HIM. Robert J. Morgan

Graced Again! leadership wisdom from Ron edmondston

I talk to so many people who are waiting on a burning bush experience before they move forward with an idea or dream. With the best intentions, they want to make sure what they are doing is God's "will" for their life. They keep waiting for some sign…maybe a writing in the sky…a letter from God…or certainly some definite "sign" that this is God's plan for them.

I also know pastors who are afraid to let people "follow their heart". Anytime I post about following a dream some well-meaning person challenges me that following the heart is dangerous.

Can you trust your heart apart from Christ? You better not. Could we misunderstand God's will? Absolutely. Could we move in a wrong direction? Of course. But, telling people not to follow their heart?

I'm not sure that's the right approach.

God didn't make us a robot.

If your heart is closely following Christ…

If your desire is to please Him…

If you aren't being convicted otherwise…

You don't have to sit on the sidelines and let the world pass you by.

God is creative, and He's made you creative as a part of His image.

I'd rather tell people to get their heart close enough to hear Christ…then go!

  • Check your heart
  • Continue to check your heart
  • Check your motivation
  • Continue to check your motivation

If it's not sinful…if the Bible doesn't specifically address your issue…if you don't have any sense God is telling you otherwise…if what you are doing is good and honorable…if it is helpful to others, or…if it is in line with the direction and experience you've had in life…

Give God all the glory…

But quit sitting on the sidelines and follow your heart.

My Thoughts About This = Miraculous Musings! J

Sometimes I think too much! Over thinking things has a tendency to keep me from following after my heart. It seems to me that God does stir up my heart passions as I fully face HIM and as I am called to HIM 1st. You can't come in contact with the heart of God and not be stirred by the things He is passionate about. God is constantly stirring my heart and leading me and I need to follow after that, but sometimes I let my mind "over think" the direction of my heart and this does slow me down and exhaust me! For me I think my best course is to pray for the mind of Christ, because my heart wants to follow after God, but my mind truly needs to be renewed!

Proverbs 11

A false balance and unrighteous dealings are extremely offensive and shamefully sinful to the Lord, but a just weight is His delight. 2 When swelling and pride come, then emptiness and shame come also, but with the humble (those who are lowly, who have been pruned or chiseled by trial, and renounce self) are skillful and godly Wisdom and soundness. 3 The integrity of the upright shall guide them, but the willful contrariness and crookedness of the treacherous shall destroy them. 4 Riches provide no security in any day of wrath and judgment, but righteousness (uprightness and right standing with God) delivers from death.

Wisdom

"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding" (Proverbs 9:10).

The fear of the Lord is fundamental to finding wisdom. Without awe of the Almighty there is no access to His insights. Where reverence for His holiness is void, there is lack of understanding into the ways of God. The first step in acquiring wisdom from almighty God is to fear Him. There is a worship of the Lord's majesty and a dread of His judgment.

His Holy Word—the Bible—is taken to heart as truth for the purpose of life transformation. At first, fear of the Lord may be so overwhelming that it conflicts with love and distracts our desire for intimacy. Anyone who has been broken understands this process. However, once a healthy fear of the Lord has been embraced, there is peace and knowledge in submission to and love for the Holy One.

"He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the LORD is the key to this treasure" (Isaiah 33:6).

Moreover, we mock God when we move away from the language of fear; He is not one to be mocked. So, as devoted followers of Christ, we sow the seeds of respect, reverence, and fear of the Lord. This discipline of faith results in a harvest of holiness, happiness, and wisdom. Fear of Him leads to knowledge of Him. Therefore, bow before Him on your knees in prayer, and seek His face for forgiveness and relational restoration.

Celebrate together with Christ our conquest over sin, sorrow, and death. What is counter-intuitive on earth is intuitive in heaven. Listen to David admonish his son Solomon, who became the wisest man in the world: "As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a whole heart and a willing mind; for the LORD searches all hearts, and understands every intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will let you find Him; but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever" (1 Chronicles 28:9 NASB).

Prayer: What area of my life lacks fear of the Lord, and how can I expose it to accountability?

Thanks! I really can relate to this because I sense a lot of my wisdom from God comes as I develop my AWE of HIM. Developing our AWE-GOD enriches our relationship with HIM and opens the door to HIS Wisdom in our lives! When was the last time you wept into your pillow at night, thinking no one cared? Is the pain so deep and your hurt so great that you cry night after night? In your misery and loneliness, do you think Jesus is emotionally detached? That He just doesn't care? Or that He's simply too busy to notice? Or that He is somewhat callous since He sees a lot of pain that's worse than yours? Or that He couldn't possibly understand how you feel? Or that He's not concerned enough to meet your needs?

Did you know that Jesus weeps with you? Did you know He puts all your tears in a bottle because they are precious to Him? (Ps. 56:8, NKJV) He has said in all of your afflictions, He Himself is afflicted. Why? Because He understands! And He loves you!

Your suffering is His. Your grief is His. Your tears are on His face!

The Red Sea rules by robert j. morgan

Christians shouldn't be surprised when in seeking to do God's Will, we find ourselves trapped in painful, frightening, difficult, or impossible situations! Jesus warned :"you will have tribulation (John 16:33) BUT be of good cheer, I have overcome the world" AWE-GOD! By: Robert J. Morgan

We have to frequently remind ourselves that the Lord has either put us in this difficult place or allowed us to be there for reasons perhaps only He knows. Robert J. Morgan

The Lord will make a way for you where no foot has been before. That which, like a sea, threatens to drown you, shall be a highway for your escape. Charles H. Spurgeon

"Exodus 14 provides a biblical method to process difficulties by faith, in the light of God's almighty presence, providence, promises, and power. The Red Sea may roll before us; the desert may entrap us; the enemy may press on our heels. The past may seem implausible and the future impossible, But God works in ways we cannot see. He will make a way of escape for His weary, but waiting children." From The Book: The Red Sea Rules By Robert J. Morgan

The sea was before them, Pharoah's hosts behind them, and the mountains all around them. And all this, be it observed, permitted and ordered of God.

" You can trust God. He will not let you be tested more than you can stand. But when you are tested, He will also make a way out so that you can bear it. (1 Cor. 10:13)

"No sea is deeper than the ocean of His love. There is no army stronger than His hosts, no force greater than His throne of grace, no enemy who can overcome His direct and indirect work in our lives. The reality of the Red Sea, in a word, is this: God will always make a way for His tired, yet trusting, children even if He must split the sea to do it."

My Thoughts About This = Miraculous Musings! J

More and more I am seeing that God is our Way-Maker. We cannot make our way into His Will, only He in that special way of HIS can direct us, guide us and make a way for us. God's purposes are in play in our lives according to His perfect design for us, not for here but for His Kingdom. Everything in our lives is redeemed for purpose. God has a plan, even if things seem very out of our comfort zone, we need to fully face our AWE-GOD and be in complete followship of HIM, ALL-IN!

4 Let each of you esteem and look upon and be concerned for not [merely] his own interests, but also each for the interests of others.5 Let this same attitude and purpose and [humble] mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus: [Let Him be your example in humility:]6 Who, although being essentially one with God and in the form of God [possessing the fullness of the attributes which make God God], did not think this equality with God was a thing to be eagerly grasped or retained, 7 But stripped Himself [of all privileges and rightful dignity], so as to assume the guise of a servant (slave), in that He became like men and was born a human being.8 And after He had appeared in human form, He abased and humbled Himself [still further] and carried His obedience to the extreme of death, even the death of the cross!9 Therefore [because He stooped so low] God has highly exalted Him and has freely bestowed on Him the name that is above every name,10 That in (at) the name of Jesus every knee should (must) bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,11 And every tongue [frankly and openly] confess and acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Attitude AND Purpose! We need to attitude and we need the function of the attitude in our relationships. A good attitude does not become a good function without the purpose behind the attitude being initiated by God. Your mind attitude can be humility, but also needs to step out in humble action to make it a completed God purpose.

Attitudes have a circle of life as they move from God purposed feeling to God purposed function!

Jesus' example of humility was always putting others first, even unto the degree of dying to Himself so others could live. This is our example of humility.

Humility is totally selfless and shows itself in acts of complete selflessness.

Abased: Subjugated means being under enemy control. He "let" the enemy have its evil way with him, ("let" being the key word) so the greater good could take place.

Jesus had everything in the form of power, authority and control and He did not cling to it, He let it go for us, so that we could be saved.

Jesus laid down His Kingly Rights so that we could be saved; it was an ALL-IN selfless pursuit of us!

Extreme selflessness! This is the function of a humble attitude.

Jesus took the form of human condition, yet His life was Kingdom purposefully driven with selfless attitudes rendered in humble actions!

John 8:25-40

"Who are you?" they asked. "Just what I have been claiming all along," Jesus replied. 26 "I have a lot to say that will judge you. But the One who sent me can be trusted. And I tell the world what I have heard from him." 27 They did not understand that Jesus was telling them about his Father. 28 So Jesus said, "You will lift up the Son of Man. Then you will know that I am the one I claim to be. You will also know that I do nothing on my own. I speak just what the Father has taught me. 29 The One who sent me is with me. He has not left me alone, because I always do what pleases him." 30 Even while Jesus was speaking, many people put their faith in him. The Children of Abraham 31 Jesus spoke to the Jews who had believed him. "If you obey my teaching," he said, "you are really my disciples. 32 Then you will know the truth. And the truth will set you free." 33 They answered him, "We are Abraham's children. We have never been slaves of anyone. So how can you say that we will be set free?" 34 Jesus replied, "What I'm about to tell you is true. Everyone who sins is a slave of sin. 35 A slave has no lasting place in the family. But a son belongs to the family forever. 36 So if the Son of Man sets you free, you will really be free.

(Amplified Bible)

We are a Christian Nation and this is what makes us truly and wholly free! What makes us a Christian Nation is Jesus Christ, He died and purchased our freedom. What made us a Christian Nation? Our Father God is the Creator of the World, therefore every nation is HIS, every nation is under His Sovereign reign and control. Every nation will bow before AWE-GOD and His justice will prevail as no person will be exempt from accountability to HIM. This world is a Christian World, our nation is a Christian nation because it all belongs to our Christian AWE-GOD, the creator and establisher of every authority and nation on this side of heaven!

God is always being, always looking out for the good of His people. He has set many things into place to enhance our freedom over the centuries! He is the source of our freedom, the foundation of our Christianity. Whatever Christianity, Whatever Freedom Is In Place In Our Nation, It Was Seeded By God With Great Kingdom Purpose And He Is Currently At Work Making His Way, Establishing His Will And His Kingdom To Come.

This World - This Nation – Our Freedom Is Not About Us – It Is All About HIM! To say this Nation is not Christian to me is to say God did not create it. At the foundation of this nation was the God of Christianity and He formed this nation to be Christian, to be free to love HIM and be freely loved by HIM. To be free to serve Him and to be freely served by HIM. To be free to honor HIM and to be freely honored by His Favor, Grace, Wisdom and Protection. Whether we choose to be found in God, to walk in relationship with HIM, to be a part of His Kingdom purposes in play, to be led by His Way, Truth And Life does not change the foundation of Christianity and freedom our AWE-GOD purposed and gave to our nation and our world!

God's Christianity, Truth and Freedom is Infinite and it will stand the tests of time. God does not sit back idly and watch the injustices and oppressions of our human will, He just as involved in preserving, protecting and He is and was in providing the Christian foundation and characteristics and morals of His world. He has called upon, equipped and provided "ministers of justice" since the beginning of time and He is constantly working our His justice in all things. God is living and moving and having His being in us and through us!

Never presume that God's Justice will not prevail. Things are not as they seem, we only see in part. It is foolish to even think that our nation, that this world is not Christian and that our AWE-GOD is not controlling with great Sovereign Purpose every moment, every person, every situation, every ruler and every authority is under His divine providence. He established the Christian principles and the freedom we enjoy and celebrate today and He will see it through INFINITELY SO… If you "dumb down" our AWE-GOD by foolishly thinking and even saying that this is not a Christian Nation, I am sure, without a doubt, God will prove to you that it is, it has been and always will be HIS Christian Nation, set forth with great Kingdom purpose in the freedom we know in His Son, Jesus Christ!

Grace in Vain

"As God's co-workers we urge you not to receive God's grace in vain." 2 Corinthians 6:1

There is a vanity associated with someone who has been saved by the grace of God, but who does not appropriate the grace of God. Ironically, they believe in Jesus for the forgiveness of their sin, but they do not behave like they believe. Pride has a way of working itself back into the good graces of a life that is not governed by God's grace. Humility, on the other hand, flourishes in the hothouse of a heart that appreciates and applies God's grace.

We are all in danger of forgetting how faith in Christ changed us and brought us into a place of grace. The flesh forges ahead of faith and facilitates graceless living. Before we know it we are back to bad habits, putting grace on the back burner of our belief. Hence, we need reminders of the transformational work of the Holy Spirit that seizes the heart of a life in submission to Almighty God. Grace empowers a humble heart.

"They worship me in vain; their teachings are merely human rules." Mark 7:7

Furthermore, grace becomes vain when it is crushed under the weight of loveless legalism. Grace converts knowledge about God into knowing God. You are protected from man-made rules that grasp God's glory when you use grace as a filter for your faith building. For example, your family may need your financial support, so make sure you do not feed the poor in Africa and ignore your relatives at home. Legalism is hard and inflexible—grace is gentle and moldable. Legalism lacks compassion—grace gives grace.

Graceless living loses Christians creditability. Are you a church member who gossips in the name of prayer or are you a gracious saint who prays with quiet confidentiality? Are you a religious person who holds a grudge or are you a gracious Jesus follower who forgives freely? Are you a proud and self-centered believer or a sinner saved by grace? Praise the Lord, that we the redeemed are a container and dispenser of God's grace. You are a cherished co-worker with Christ—His grace grows in your humble, teachable heart.

"But He gives a greater grace. Therefore it says, " GOD IS OPPOSED TO THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE." James 4:6, NASB

Prayer: Heavenly Father, by faith I receive Your grace, so I can extend Your grace.

My Thoughts About This = Miraculous Musings! J

When people are rude to us and make us feel as if we are invisible, our flesh does not want to extend grace. When people don't accept us for who God has created us to be and ignore us because we are different from them, our flesh does not want to extend grace. YET God has given us grace, therefore, grace should be extended to all we come in contact with no matter how they treat us or make us feel.

Heart Probe

Though you probe my heart, though you examine me at night and test me, you will find that I have planned no evil; my mouth has not transgressed. Psalm 17:3

God's spirit is interested in probing our hearts. He knows the heart is the source of our speech and conduct. The heart can conceal our anger or release it in Christ-honoring conversation. Unreleased anger is ugly. It eventually comes out in damaging portions. If our heart goes unexamined, then we drift into a sick state of denial. We lose touch with reality and lead others into our wrong thinking. On the other hand, a healthy heart keeps us honest and engaged. It is the tender touch of Jesus that reminds us to look inward. If we don't manage our motives and confess our sins, we create a mess. Our hearts can be a hindrance or a conduit for Christ-centered living. So how do we exercise the Spirit's examination of our heart and soul? What is necessary to make sure we come under the scrutiny of our Savior Jesus? How do we get to the heart of the matter?

A heart probe by God does not happen accidentally. It occurs intentionally. Just as we daily determine to take care of the physical dimension of our heart, so we are instructed to exercise our spiritual condition. Appointments, good or bad activities, and life responsibilities can all crowd out our candid conversations with Christ. So margin for our Master is a must. We cannot spend all of our time doing the work of God while ignoring the voice of God. Goodworks from an unguarded heart only give an illusion of selfless service. Our works cannot resolve a conflicted heart. It is only under microscopic probing by the Holy Spirit that we see ourselves for who we truly are. Sometimes selfishness comes into focus. Other times timidity surfaces because we are afraid of conflict. It is in these moments of discovery that we invite God's grace to enter and heal our hurting heart.

Our words, or the lack thereof, are evidence of what dwells in our heart. Sometimes the Holy Spirit checks our heart and moves us to silence. Trust trumps the trouble we face, and we exhibit long suffering with the Lord and other people. This is a heart of faith. Other times, the Spirit prompts us to speak up. We are unclear of the outcome but He gives us the courage to converse. This is a heart of boldness. Whether in silence or speech, it is the Holy Spirit that governs a heart controlled by Christ. Therefore, do not allow your words to get ahead of your heart. Don't speak your mind until your heart has been examined and set free by the Spirit. Sometimes a simple good night's sleep brings perspective into focus. Bare your soul before your Savior before you boldly confront others.

Your heart probe may come from a variety of exercises. It may be a prescription of perpetual prayer that penetrates your heart with grace and forgiveness. It may be the treadmill of trust that builds endurance and creates within you a stronger heart of faith. Sometimes our Savior's stethoscope of conviction discovers sin that needs confession and repentance. Above all else, lay your heart before the Lord. Ask others to validate the Lord's probing and promptings. Resolve, by God's grace, to keep short sin accounts. A Spirit-probed heart produces right speech, spoken the right way. Effectiveness on behalf of our heavenly Father hinges on a healthy heart. Therefore, allow the Lord to examine it often. The Spirit's scripts are just what we need. Administer them daily.

Hopeless to Hopeful

"There is hope in your future, says the Lord." Jeremiah 31:17, NKJV

In Christ there is hope; outside of Christ there is no hope. Those focused on heaven find hope; those focused on earth find hope illusive. A life lived by faith is hopeful, but a life lived in fear is hopeless. Hope is not just the outcome of an optimist, it is the fruit of those whose security is in their Savior Jesus Christ. Moreover, money messes with the mind as it demands full allegiance to the almighty dollar in exchange for a false hope.

However, we discover authentic hope and freedom in our submission to Christ as Lord and Master of our fate. Deep abiding hope is not a strategy, but a reality when we bow in reverent obedience to God. He does not tease His children with pseudo promises. On the contrary, our heavenly Father gave what was most precious to Him, His Son, so we could become sons and daughters of the most High. Indeed, hope is a gift from God.

"He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?" Romans 8:32

Where is the root of your hope grounded? In your job or Jesus? With friends or faith? In your home or heaven? In earthly riches or the riches of God's grace? Satan cannot steal the seed of hope when you plant it in the soil of Scripture. Your hope in Christ is not conditional to circumstances; rather it thrives on trust when assaulted by ambiguity. You move from hopelessness to hopefulness when what matters most, matters the most.

Jesus matters most. Faith matters most. Family matters most. Friends matter most. Love matters most. Fear of God matters most. Evangelism matters most. Discipleship matters most. Stewardship matters most. A healthy diet and regular exercise matter most. Prayer matters most, bible study matters most and forgiveness matters most. Your focus on what matters most is fuel for attaining comfort, hope and courage from Christ. He matters most.

Therefore, be hopeful as a child of God. Your hope in Christ is an advertisement for the Almighty. Those with no hope are attracted to the genuine hope in your heart. Indeed, you are hopeful, because of the origin of your optimism, and the greater purpose of your hope is to bring hope to the hopeless. Suicide shrivels with the prospect of hope. Faith comes alive in Christ and His loving acceptance. Praise the Lord that your hope is alive!

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead." 1 Peter 1:3

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I embrace Your living hope in Christ, thanks for our hope in Him.

My Thoughts About This = Miraculous Musings! J

I agree! Idols come in many forms! Because my life suddenly changed so much, I found myself really nostalgic for the comfort of the past. Nostalgia became an idol for me and it kept me from moving forward with God into the new thing that He had for me. Nostalgia is not a bad thing, but if it consumes you, it becomes an idol in your life. I recognized it and changed it and began to look forward more to what God was doing now than I was looking back at the season of my life that God had bookended. Nostalgia really did quench the hope of God in me and kept me from stepping out into the flow of His Kingdom purposes in play in my life in the now.

There is not a thing that God expects of a person but that God will give him or her the power to do. There is not a command God gives to His children for which He does not provide the enablement for obedience.
