Jesus, I know You are about to set us out again. I thought I was going to be home, but with the Favor You have given Bob, he is going to stay with this company. Thank you for that job security Lord. It does change things up a lot for me. We can't be apart that much, I know that without You even having to tell me, it is common sense. I know You are up to something and I do want to be a part of it, please bring my will in line with Your passion to reach people Lord. I do want to be used by You Jesus. Guide me by Your Spirit. Change my wants, transform them into passion for the things on Your heart. I pray I will step into Your Kingdom purpose flow and be a part of Your Mission, experience the passion of Your heart. I pray for Your courage-strength-wisdom to step out and be found in the flow of Your Kingdom purpose in play around me today.

We must be willing to take responsibility as we go forward to claim our spiritual inheritance. Every blessing God gives us comes with a measure of responsibility, and we need to take that responsibility seriously.

My Thoughts About This:

Responsibility! This is so true! I have read through the 1^st few verses of Joshua and I realize that his courage had a lot to do with him stepping and being all God wanted him to be. I need God's courage to face this change in my life, to step out into God's purpose flow for the Kingdom of God. God is a constant source of strength and His Word, His Word and the promises, wisdom, hope is a container of strength for my courage. I realized that so much when I saw how the Lord told Joshua to be strong and courageous and then He said this:

Joshua 1:7-8 Only you be strong and very courageous, that you may do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you. Turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go. This book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success.

The bible says that if you want to find wise answers to your problems and be successful and prosperous in all your dealings, you need to mediate on the Word of God day and night.

I did not know satan could inject thoughts into my brain. The devil was controlling my life because he was controlling my thoughts. Mediate on God's Word and you can push back the enemy. When you fill your mind with God's truth, you will find your thoughts are thoughts of truth, freedom, victory and peace.

After Moses' death, the law allowed the Israelites thirty days to mourn. After those days were completed, God told Joshua it was time for him to take his new position (see Joshua 1:2). It was time to start moving toward new things. Joshua would miss Moses, but he knew he had to obey God and move on. There is a proper time for mourning those things that we have lost or that have come to an end. But ultimately we, we must make a choice to start living and making progress again. We all have a past but thank God we all have a future—a good one, according to His Word (see Jeremiah 29:11)

Because Moses had done many things for Joshua and the Israelites before he died, they needed to learn how to handle new responsibilities after he died. They may not have felt prepared to step out into new things, but God knew they were ready. It is actually a good thing when we don't "feel" ready, because then we are more likely to totally lean on God. If we feel self-sufficient, God can't really use us.

New things always seem frightening, but soon they will become old things, and God will have another "new thing" on the horizon of our lives. We need to grow accustomed to stepping out into new things. The more we do, the more we realize that we don't' have to be comfortable to be obedient. In order to take hold of a new thing, we must let go of the old and allow ourselves time to get acquainted with the new. I believe that when God reminded Joshua that Moses was dead, He was encouraging him to let go of the past and press on. I encourage you to do the same. Remember the good things of your past, but do not get stuck there. God is always doing a new thing! When God called Abraham to a new place, he did not even think about where he was to go. He simply trusted God because he knew God was faithful. Do not be afraid to realize and walk away from what God is finished with; He has wonderful new things waiting for you!

Daniel and his friends served the only God who could deliver them.

He mustered the astonishing courage to ask a difficult question that could have gotten him killed right away. Daniels tact kept his words from tasting bad on the tongue of the executioner. Tact. We all could use an extra dose – but no one more than Christians. Not because we're worse than everyone else but because so much is at stake. Christians could use an extra dose of "tact" because there is so much Kingdom purpose at stake!

Daniels life was at stake! The eternal lives of the lost are at stake. Be tactful- don't leave a bad taste for Christianity in their mouths- this is deadly 4 them.

My Thoughts About This:

I really believe that my lack of "tact" comes as a bi product of my impulsive nature. If I would just slow down and let God… God is able… He can work through me any kind of tact I need for any kind of situation if I would just LET BE.. Let God Work! Sometimes, especially when I follow my emotions, I am like a bull in a china shop and tact is no where to be found. I think especially when our "human rights" have been violated, that is a real trap for a tactless situation. The way Daniel lived his life is really eye opening for me, I am making some changes by the Power of the Holy Spirit. Being tactful is one of those changes that I need to make constant-consistent in my life. Webster Dictionary has its definition of tact and Jesus had His:

Colossians 4:6 Let your speech at all times be gracious (pleasant and winsome), seasoned [as it were] with salt, [so that you may never be at a loss]to know how you ought to answer anyone [who puts a question to you].

My Thoughts About This:

Tact: charming, pleasant, attractive, engaging, appealing, endearing, agreeable, nice, polite, smart, likeable- Make us like You Jesus! Tactful Soul Savers!

Being tactful is exercising faith that has a voice of Godly appeal as we believe completely in our #AWE-GOD Advocate, Jesus!

Daniel 2:18 shows how Daniel went back to the house and told them of the situation and they all prayed for God's mercy. How would you imagine that would look like, this prayer meeting between Daniel, Hananiah, Misheal and Azariah?

My Thoughts About This:

I think it probably looked like Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane where He asked that this cup might be taken from Him, then He laid down His will and in complete willessness, He said: Not my will but Yours be done for your Kingdom Glory – I am willess, into Your hands I commit my life. I could see them bowing before God in complete willessness. I do it every morning and I tell you it is so freeing. Life does not always go and you plan it, God loves to do detours and U-Turns just to shake up our spirits of complacency and there have been many times that the laying down of my will, saved the lives of others, because God had a kingdom purpose in play through my situation that set up a divine appointment of salvation for someone else. He is always working in the unseen, the question is do we fit into His purpose flow today or are we going to be led by our will?

Daniel was in a life threatening situation and he chose to lay before God and pray. God revealed to Daniel at night, after he had prayed, God revealed to Daniel, exactly what he needed to know.

"Imagine being one of the three who did not receive the revelation. Their place was critical. It was on their knees. At the same time, they had to trust that God had given a clear answer that concerned their very lives to someone else."

To be chosen to hear from God on the behalf of others is a huge responsibility!

We must trust God! It is time to bend our knee to God's sovereignty- watch Him work out His Kingdom purposes.

What kind of a person would we need to be, to be like Daniel, to be told something that would change people's destiny forever?

My Thoughts About This:

I think we would have to be a person of excellence in God. We would have to have an undivided heart, clinging to nothing in this world and giving our lives to everything Kingdom! I believe we would have to be in a Holy Alignment with the flow of God's Kingdom Purpose at play all around us. I believe we would have to have a very strong Holy Alliance with God's Word. We would have to be completely willess, and ready and equipped to follow completely after God! Followship would have to be 1^st in our lists of desires. Ties to our culture would have to be broken and transplanted in Kingdom soil. We would need to be connected to the passions of God's heart and available to make them ours, to own them and treat them as valuable as ours, as if they were ours.

My Thoughts About This:

If you desire to do God's Will – To do what pleases God in your all and everything, you will have God's discernment. (See John 17:7) Daniel was wanting to please God, even in the midst of a culture he could have comfortably just melted into, He chose God, He chose the way of Kingdom excellence and not the way of cultural excess and ease. He was not held captive by friendly captivity, He was held captive by His God!

Daniel 4:25c… until you have learned and know that the Most High [God] rules in the kingdom of men and gives it to whomever He will.

Lord, You are changing things up again. I think… and that is where I go wrong. To grow is not to think, it is to wait in complete submission with a will that is fully surrendered! I wanted to be involved in prison ministry and I am not sure if that is a go anymore and I wanted to be a part of the new campus plant, not sure of that either. What I am sure of is that You have given Bob extreme favor with this company He is working with. You have opened a door that no man can shut. Just as you said You would. You have done. I know that I must follow the open door, the one You have miraculously opened, the one where there is Your Light, Your Favor, Your Provision. I always imagined myself with a home, staying put and being a part of my community. This is not my plan for me, yet I know it is Your Will. Bob will move from job to job as a traveling superintendent. It seems like such a lonely life to travel from city to city, yet I know You did it, You our King of Heaven had no where to lay Your head on earth. The way it looks, he may be with this company for years and that is very good God thing, a miracle of Your Provision. I am grateful for it. It is definitely not good for us to be apart for what looks like now could be years. We only see each other on one or two weekends a month. The common sense wisdom says this is not good for our marriage in a long term situation. I don't know how this is going to play out, but I do know You are sending us out again. My will screams NO, my spirit humbly says, Yes Lord. I know You have prepared us for a time such as this, we have been given much, we have much to give. You don't need us, but You do want us to go out, to make disciples out in the regions and cities you send us. It is not my way, but it is Your will. I submit myself to You Jesus, and to wherever You are going to send us, I pray for Your Kingdom to Come, Your Will to be done. Jesus! I know the routine Lord Jesus, when it comes to my will, it must be broken, submitted to Yours. This time it feels somewhat easier, I am getting used to Your Voice and Your Way that seems to be totally different than my wants, but always plays out with an eternal edge. I know the heavenly hindsight's of Your Glory Glow and with my rear view mirror intact, I gaze in it to encourage me, that Your Way always leaves a trail of Your Glory Dust! Father God I pray that You would work out every detail and enlighten Bob and I, make a Way for us. Jesus! Thank you Lord!

Check Your "want to" By Joyce Meyer

Giving to God willingly and ungrudgingly basically boils down to whether or not we desire to give. I call this attitude our "want to" and I believe without it, we will never do anything significant.

Yes, I have a call from God on my life. But I need something in addition to His call. I need to have a lot of "want to". Another word for that is passion.

Passion is the thing that motivates us to work hard and make sacrifices with a good attitude Joyce Meyer.

If you and I are going to serve God and be examples to others, we need to have sanctified "want to." Joyce Meyer

God is not interested in our good works if we are not doing them with a willing heart. Ask God to give you His desires and cause you to want what He wants.

My Thoughts About This:

God keeps His Covenant with us, to love us unconditionally, to be with us in mercy and loving-kindness as we love Him and are faithful to His Way. Love and obedience go hand in hand when it comes to our God's heart's desire for us.

1 John 5:3 For the [true] love of God is this: that we do His commands [keep His ordinances and are mindful of His precepts and teaching]. And these orders of His are not irksome (burdensome, oppressive, or grievous)

My Thoughts By His Holy Spirit About This Verse! AWE GOD!

I truly believe that love is not real until it is demonstrated. It is so easy to say it; to say I love you, but to do it, to carry out the intention of those words is very self sacrificing. Love is very sacrificial, and it is proved by actions. Love becomes real as it is acted out in selflessness. To me, this is real love! If I truly love God, I will obey Him, I will do what pleases Him, I will be completely His in Word-Action-Deed! Undivided in heart, loyal to the end and completely His, I will live my love for God from the inside-out!

Our Love for God is proved true as it is purposefully acted out in selfless-willess-passionate obedience of His Word-Will-Way!

Isaiah 47: 12-15 Fortells how in Daniel 2 the astrologers, magicians, enchanters, soothsayers, sorceres, diviners did not have the power to interpret the dream. They could not save anyone by their strength or foolish wisdom.

The king was so enraged that he ordered their executions… They held postions of great prestige and honor in Nebuchadnezzar's Kingdom, but they were utterly expendable at his angry-frustrated whim.

We are a part of a Kingdom, such as they were as they had superiority among the masses but no security. It is not the same for us. No one is expendable, in fact Luke 12:7 says that our King knows the very hairs upon our head.

My Thoughts About This:

I picked this scripture out of the 1^st chapter of 2 Timothy because it really reflects the S.O.A.P. application. I need to fan my inner passion for God. I need to kindle the embers of my spirit with the hope, promise, precepts of the Word of God. I should stir up my relationship with God every single day with His Truth

Isaiah 43:19 Behold I am doing a new thing! Now it springs forth; do you not perceive and know it and will you not give heed to it?

Father God, ignite a fire in our wills. Give us a deep desire to learn new things-to walk W/day2day relevance in Your Kingdom purposes.

A Minute With Maxwell

Hesitation:

When I speak, I will hesitate. I make a statement I want people to think about and I hesitate. What we think and feel are not at the same pace. Make a statement and hesitate- I call it the pregnant pause. Letting the person's mind and heart catch up with each other. Timing is essential. Let the thought be marinated. If you live at the same rate and you don't hesitate, pause, stop and give time for thought process you will have many experiences with very little insight. Hesitation helps us to take our experiences and turn them into insights.

My Thoughts About This:

Awesome! I love what Dr. Maxwell said about how we don't think and feel at the same pace. That is so true. Sometimes I am so impulsive in my conversations with others that I don't truly listen to others fully. I hear their thoughts, but I don't hesitate so I can catch their emotions. I can see now that without hesitation, I am devaluing their emotions. The Holy Spirit has really been convicting me on this; I know I need to change. When I don't hesitate in my listening, I don't truly hear what the person is trying to say. My mind never stops, I am thinking about what I am going to say next, instead of hesitating to listen, truly listen to the words and emotions that someone is expressing. I know God owns my emotions; I need to learn to be more empathetic. Sometimes, I interrupt people mid speech, which is a very bad habit I have that I am working on changing. Hesitation is a good word for me today - it hits me at my point of growth. My conversations with people will just be empty experiences, if I don't learn to hesitate and transform my time with others into invaluable insight- investment! God's timing is essential and applying this word, hesitation to my communication skills will help me keep pace with God's timing. I pray this wisdom will change me and I will learn to use this valuable relational tool of hesitation.

My Thoughts About These Verses As I Listen To The Holy Spirit:

Fear will attack us at every turn, yet God is always being, always with us! I think I need to say that even more strongly: God has always been, will always be and is being currently and there is nothing ever and no one anywhere that can stop our AWE-GOD from being! So how did that sound!? It was great for me! To me, courage is "Just Do It Power" from a God Who is always empowered, always present and always for me. When that feeling of "fear" creeps into my reality, or slithers into my situation, it is time for an "Omnipresent Reality Check"! Check! Yes God Is With Me! He Is Still Here! He Is Still Speaking! He Is Still For Me! AWE-GOD!

2 Chronicles 32:7-8

"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged because of the king of Assyria and the vast army with him, for there is a greater power with us than with him. 8 With him is only the arm of flesh, but with us is the Lord our God to help us and to fight our battles."
