Day Two: God Is The Provider Of Every Good Thing In Our Life!

James 1:17 "Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights."

Ephesians 1:3 "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ."

Matthew 7:11 "If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!"

2 Chronicles 1:11-12 "Since you [Solomon] have not asked for a long life but for wisdom and knowledge to govern my people over whom I have made you king, therefore wisdom and knowledge will be given you. And I [the LORD] will also give you wealth, riches and honor."

Proverbs 8:18-21 (God says) "Unending riches, honor, justice, and righteousness are mine to distribute. My gifts are better than the purest gold or sterling silver! Those who love and follow me

are indeed wealthy. I fill their treasuries." TLB

Isaiah 26:12 "All that we have accomplished you [Oh LORD] have done for us."

As thunder follows lightning, giving follows grace. When God's grace touches you, you can't help but respond with generous giving. Randy Alcorn

*My THOUGHTS: GODS THOUGHTS = My Learning=Heart Change*

Never let me forget that, Lord Jesus… whatever I have accomplished, it has been all YOU. I love, love, love Proverbs 8… I fill their treasuries! Lord, I pray for a blessing of strength today, fill the treasury in my heart with the hope of Your promise, faithfulness and deliverance. Let not my heart be full of questions about me and thoughts of trying to make my way, but let my heart be full of the treasures YOU bestow in me. Your Presence, Your Life, Your Truth, Your Peace, Your Hope…. These are the true treasures in life. Fill our treasuries with these valuable gems: Truth – Hope- Peace- Joy! Jesus So Be It! AMEN!

Bibles read without prayer; sermons heard without prayer; marriages contracted without prayer; journeys undertaken without prayer; residences chosen without prayer; friendships formed without prayer; the daily act of prayer itself hurried over, or gone through without heart: these are the kind of downward steps by which many a Christian descends to a condition of spiritual palsy, or reaches the point where God

allows them to have a tremendous fall.

Joyce Meyer: Promises for Your Everyday Life - a Daily Devotional

1 John 4: 18 There is no fear in love [dread does not exist], but full-grown (complete, perfect) love turns fear out of doors and expels every trace of terror! For fear brings with it the thought of punishment, and [so] he who is afraid has not reached the full maturity of love [is not yet grown into love's complete perfection].

Amplified Bible

Joyce's Thoughts:

First John 4:18 teaches that understanding God's love for us will deliver us from our fears. Now this doesn't mean we won't ever feel fear, but faith in God and His love will enable us to 'do it afraid' if we have to.

God wants you to know that He is with you. He will lead and guide you, so you can put your confidence and faith in Him!

Remember, His love is perfect, even when we aren't. He isn't going to love us any more or less because of our mistakes.

Isn't it good to know that God loves you right where you are? Doesn't that thought just kind of boost your faith and take your fear down a notch?

You and I are going to feel afraid now and then. When we do, we can get our focus back on God and know that He will lead us through any situation we face.

It's the perfect love of God, not perfect us, that casts out fear every single time

Proverbs 29: 18 If people can't see what God is doing, they stumble all over themselves; But when they attend to what he reveals, they are most blessed.

Jump-Start Your Dreams By Joyce Meyer

What is the dream that God's placed in your heart? I'm not asking if you have one, I already know it's there because God gives all of us dreams.

I've seen people do all kinds of things to their dreams. Some people bury them so deep in their hearts in order to protect them from the criticism of others. Some people set them out of sight so they don't have to think about them anymore. And some people finally just give up on their dreams because it hurts too much to hold on.

If your dream needs a jump-start, there are two things I want you to remember. First, you need to get a vision that's clear. And second, you must keep your vision in front of you at all times.

But having a vision doesn't mean that it will instantly appear. God's as interested in the process of vision as He is in the end result.

The apostle Paul said in Philippians 4:11-13 that he had learned how to be content and satisfied to the point where he was not disturbed by whatever state he was in. In other words, he never allowed himself to get upset with where he was at the moment, he was always looking forward to where he could be.

That means you, like Paul, need to find a balance between contentment and ambition. Here's the key: Learn to enjoy where you are on the way to where you're going.

When you have a dream or a vision, you have to keep it in front of you. If it helps, write it down. And remember, God will help you live the dream He's given you, step-by-step, one day at a time.

Prayer Starter: Jesus, even though I don't always feel like it and life tries to get me to quit, I believe You have a great plan for my life. I choose to trust You to help me live the dream You've given me more than I trust my circumstances.

My Thoughts About This:

Oh I needed that! It is like God breathing in my face trying to get my attention. I have struggled so much with this move because I can't see the God Purpose yet, but that scripture… Prov 29:18 is incredible. I have been stumbling all over my fleshly expectations and I have not been attending to that which God has already revealed. Perfect! Off to attend!!

ATTENDING GOD'S PURPOSES

Ouch! Oh, I needed that! I have to say as I read this scripture, it felt like God breathing in my face, trying to get my attention. Focus! God! When my children would cry uncontrollably, as they had their own "pouty-party", sometimes I would blow in their face to break their attention off their crying jag. This scripture today, did that for me. God simply-significantly breathed into my face and took my focus off myself, my situational wants and put it back on HIM. He breathed on me and I immediately looked up and beheld HIM! A huge perspective change! Recently, I went through a "suddenly" life-change. My head is still spinning from how fast God moved me. I don't understand it and I can't see the God-Purpose in it yet. This new situation God has put me in, makes no sense to me at all, yet I know God was in this move. I have struggled, as I have tried so hard to find the purpose of why God moved me. My inability to be content, to bloom where God has planted me, has revealed to me the doubt - unbelief in my heart and also has shown me my incomplete faith-trust in God. I have been stumbling all over my fleshly expectations and I have not been attending to what God has already revealed to me. I am seeing through this scripture today, that part of the process of this unconventional move, is the purpose of God to cleanse my heart of unbelief and bring me to a "completely". I am beginning to see that learning to trust God completely comes only at the hand of HIS set up circumstances. God's Kingdom Purpose has set me up to step up my faith to a completely! God is revealing to me those things hidden in my heart, flushing them out, cleansing my soul and replenishing my faith. This is the revealed Kingdom purpose in this move and it begins in my heart and hopefully ends in me trusting in God's faithfulness and His goodness. God wants to teach me how to step out in what He reveals to me, without having to see His whole end game. So off I go to attend to the purpose God has already revealed to me in this new God adventure, and hopefully bloom in the Kingdom purposes He has planted me in the flow of. AWE-GOD! You got to love how the Word of God pierces through all our human condition and reaches our heart, changing us forever! I am attending to God's purposes today! Catch you later!

You Lift Me Up By The Afters: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BkaZf665lpI&feature=related

Waiting for the Sunrise, waiting for the day, waiting for a sign that I am where you want me to be. My heart is heavy, the hurt is deep but when I feel like giving up you remind me we all fall down sometimes, but when I hit the ground, You lift me up when I am weak, Your arms wrap around me. You lift me up when I can't see. I know I am not perfect, I make mistakes. I know I have let You down, but You love me the same. When I lose my way and I cry out and fall down, You are here to lift me up when I am weak. Your love catches me, so I am letting go. You lift me up when I can't see, Your heart is all I need. I am feeling overtaken with Your Love. Jesus! I surrender to Your Love. You lift me up when I am weak, Your arms wrap around me, Your love catches me so I am letting go!

I surrender to Your Love, Jesus! You lift me up when I am weak! I'm letting go! You are all I need!

Exhortation- The Shepherd's Communicated Love-Wisdom!

I got up struggling today. Loneliness is a great factor in my life right now, it steals my focus if I dwell on it too long. Jesus help me to trust YOU, You have a plan for bringing me here to Pinehurst, help me to wait on YOU, to stay focused on Your Faithfulness. Be in my day today, Lord Jesus, reveal Yourself to me and help me to step into the flow of Your Kingdom purpose!

Those of us who are most familiar with the Spirit's promises are
in the greatest danger. ... familiarity may not breed contempt,
but it takes the edge off awe ... promises that drop the jaws or
widen the eyes of newcomers but provoke no more than a raised
eyebrow in the old-timers who have ceased to dream.
Quote By:  -- Jim McGuiggan

1 Kings 8 ~ 22-25 Before the entire congregation of Israel, Solomon took a position before the Altar, spread his hands out before heaven, and prayed, O God, God of Israel, there is no God like you in the skies above or on the earth below who unswervingly keeps covenant with his servants and relentlessly loves them as they sincerely live in obedience to your way. You kept your word to David my father, your personal word. You did exactly what you promised—every detail. The proof is before us today!

leadership wisdom from Ron edmondston blog

This is a guest post from online friend and pastor Nathan Rouse

"Would you share your story with me?".

Let me give you 3 reasons why I've found this question to be a relational game changer:

It tells the person that you desire to truly know who they are.

Believe it or not people aren't asking each other this question. I'm continually amazed how our conversations even with those we call close friends tend to stay on the surface. So when you ask someone this question it's like a breath of fresh air. In essence you're saying to them, "You're valuable and I want to know who you are."

It says, "I'm not the focus right now, you are."

As leaders if we're not intentional about putting the focus off ourselves and onto others, there will be many who will inherently make our conversations about us and our priorities for them. We need to be able to turn the tables and get back into their world and make the focus about them. This isn't a leadership gimmick that seeks to make people think we really care. A leader who is worth his or her salt actually cares about those they lead.

It says, "I've got time for you."

In a society that has pushed out all margin for relationships, people rarely "go there" with others around them. Turning to someone and asking to hear their story speaks volumes in regards to them being the priority in that moment. As a pastor that's leading a growing church, I have countless people who start their conversations with me with this phrase, "I know you're busy, but". People automatically assume about themselves and others that we just don't have time. Asking this question about their life's journey gently encourages them that you do have and want time with them.

Bottom line: Leadership isn't done in a vacuum. It's done with people. The greatest gift I can give those I lead is to ask to know their story. Give that priceless gift this Christmas.

My Thoughts About This:

One area I think we can stretch is our family traditions. We all have them and after a while they get pretty routine and no longer have that "relational edge" to them. I like to take a challenge of adding a "relational edge" to our normal traditions. Like... We open gifts on Christmas Day as a family and that is pretty normal, but to add a "relational edge" to it where we are communicating and learning more from each other we added: Before the person opens the gift, they can feel it, shake it and then they have to say what they think they are going to use that gift for. It just adds a little "relational edge" to a normal family tradition.

Ministry Life:

Expect to work from another plane of ability. Ministry life is not for sissies. Supernatural resilience and sustenance is required. You need to stop trying to have a "normal" life. The schedule and routine of a ministry family is drastically different from others. Accepting that and adjusting your lifestyle to accommodate the demands is the only way to stay sane. The wife's job is to be the shock absorber. Jesus never complained about the demands on Him. He adjusted, He endured, and He overcame. That power is available to you and your children in a supernatural way. But resentment and self-pity will stop the flow.

My Thoughts About This:

Thanks! Great analogy! I love NCIS too and Gibbs is too cute how he cares for his team, they are a family because He sets the atmosphere to a level 1 care! I don't think I have seen one show where he was not excellent in his care for his team, he never sloughs off when it comes to them. His 1st choice is the right choice when it comes to mentoring his team! For me, I think the only way I can be that way in my mentoring and caring relationships is to be called to God 1st. When I am working out of my relationship with God, it is all good, but when I kindle my own fires and walk by the light of a man made fire... it is torment! uggg.... So for me, my 1st call is to God not my occupation or my ministry, but to God!

http://wisdomhunters.com/ Boyd Bailey

The busiest people may be the most unproductive people, because there is no time for evaluation and improvement. Diligence that partners with the right strategy and execution leverages the most effective results. Actions aligned with the best overall plan produce long-term sustainability; so build on the rock of right results.

"Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, But the LORD weighs the heart. To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice" (Proverbs 21:2-3, NKJV).

Furthermore, take the time to evaluate your life and work to God's game plan. An ongoing audit of your actions will help you reap right results. Behaviors like honesty, humility and accountability will lead to the fruitful results of respect, trust and wisdom. You are saved by grace, but you keep your job by results.

You build on the solid rock of results when you put into practice a smart and prayed over plan that invites accountability. Work hard, but examine your actions under the authority of God and man. Wise activities lead to a life and work that, by God's grace, withstand the winds of worry and the storms of insecurity. Let God and others guide you, and you will go a long way with the substance of rock solid results.

"Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed" (Proverbs 15:22).

Who can I invite into my life, and ask to evaluate the activities I need to cease, the ones I need to continue and the new ones I need to start?

Sacrifice! You have to give up to go up! Or You have to give up to "grow" up! You give up what could be today for what could be tomorrow! You sacrifice what could be today for what can be tomorrow . Too many people take what is in hand, unwilling to sacrifice and give up to go up.
