Election Week: Exhortation From God!

Mercy, God's Mercy! This is the thing that I am thinking and praying most of all this week before the elections in our nation! The desire for God's Mercy consumes my soul, the desire to be forgiven, the pursuit of God's Mercy is all I can think or pray for!

Psalm 33:18-22

Behold, the Lord's eye is upon those who fear Him [who revere and worship Him with awe], who wait for Him and hope in His mercy and loving-kindness, 19To deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine. 20Our inner selves wait [earnestly] for the Lord; He is our Help and our Shield. 21For in Him does our heart rejoice, because we have trusted (relied on and been confident) in His holy name. 22Let Your mercy and loving-kindness, O Lord, be upon us, in proportion to our waiting and hoping for You.

I remember some teachings I heard from the Old Testament where the people wanted a king so bad, they wanted change in their nation and God told them that they did not need this change as much as they needed to turn back to Him first. But they just kept going after what they wanted and then God decided to give it to them... give them what they wanted to show them that it truly was not what they needed... they needed Him, they needed His favor not the favor of a human king.

In this election week I have thoughts about both party platforms and I believe neither one of these candidates can change the course of a nation for good without God's Favor! I wonder... HMMMM... Where has our favor gone? Evil has escalated in this election, there seems to be no visible hand of God's Favor.... our candidates are getting beat up by the press, the candidates are beating up each other and the press is center stage being beat up by the candidates! The crowds are rude, disrespectful and very unruly. What a great witness we have been to the world… UGGGG! What fun this election has been! UGGGGG… Acorn is cheating like crazy, an institution that we all pay taxes for is signing up people to vote who don't even exist and getting away with it without any accountability! Great way to center stage our democratic ways to the world, by modeling how to cheat! Sickening! There is nothing sure, nothing constant… I am not even totally sure both Candidates are born in America!!! The polls are just as decrepit and just as wrong as the last two elections.. could it be that they are just plain old outdated because people don't use home phones anymore, they use cell phones… or could it be that they are corrupted by a one sided viewpoint? Where is freedom, justice and liberty for all? Where is God's Favor?

We must, furthermore, protest the notion of manifest destiny that permits our nation to do anything it chooses. For if we insist on walking down this road, than at some point - as God is God, the God in whose eyes there is real good and real evil - we who have trampled so completely on all of God's amazing gifts to this country are going to wake up and find that He cares very much what we do. We must not suppose that we are playing only intellectual and political games. If God exists, and if He judges good and evil, then we must realize that those who trample on His great gifts will one day know His judgment. The scriptures bear solemn witness to this. Our nation is not immune.

In the final stretch of this election, people are just plain nasty all the angry people are coming out in droves and parking themselves in public places, yelling and screaming as you go into movie theatres, putting up vulgar signs with vulgar pictures (Bush+Dick=Screwed) and shoving them in the faces of your children and grandchildren who truly don't understand why all these adults are so angry with them. And then when you say something to the manager of the theatre, that this is not good for the children coming into the theatre, he says if you don't like it, pick another theatre... crazy stuff... angry people, hurting people wounding the spirit of innocent children. My choice became apparent after researching the political platforms of the candidates and finding out the truth and I chose to stick to what I basically believed in the Word of God, what has been consistent and true in my life and not the rhetoric of this campaign. But many other Christians have strayed from their beliefs and are entertaining even thoughts that this country is not a Christian Nation, that Christianity is not the foundation of this country, they say it is a secular nation made up of many religions and that faith based truths and values cannot trump the secular way of thinking when it comes to voting for a President or writing and enforcing laws. This country was founded as a Christian Nation and it is a Christian Nation! This truth is swept up in the confusion of this political "spin" and beware of being caught up in the tornado and spun far away from God! Almighty God is the Lord of this Nation, there is no Other! Is that plain and simple enough! He is simply enough for us! There is no compromise to this truth… He is Lord! He has united this nation from its conception and never has it been questioned like this election, but this truth will stand the test of time! Trust it!

Psalm 33:4

For the word of the Lord holds true, and we can trust everything he does. 5 He loves whatever is just and good; the unfailing love of the Lord fills the earth.

This independent, self-sufficient approach to life is the fundamental sin of so many of us... It is the refusal of grace. It is the failure to acknowledge Abba as the Divine Almsgiver. It is Adam and Eve reaching for the apple all over again. But, luckily, self-sufficiency can take us only so far. Sooner or later we run up against a brick wall. We get a sudden glimpse into our existential self-deficiency. We finish eating the apple and discover, a few hours later, that we are hungry again. We gradually realize where we actually are and where we truly belong.

I voted for McCain, He is my personal choice after much debate, study and prayer. Father God I pray that You would forgive our nation! We are wrong to think we can do anything without Your covering, Your favor. We have been so foolish to think we don't need You, we don't need Your founding precepts and the Word of God. We have believed lies that You are not the foundation of this great country. Forgive us Lord Jesus! Father, we humbly submit to You and ask for Your forgiveness. We need You. We want You to be the Father of this great nation, the spiritual covering and the strength of our unity. Jesus have mercy upon this country and make us great again by Your favor, grace and wisdom. Glowing In The Light Of HIS Purposes!

All of God's people are ordinary people who have been made extraordinary by the purpose he has given them.

When life changes and it doesn't make sense, you can wear out your mind trying to understand how God thought that this life transition was good!! I am learning so much about the purposes of God through the unplanned changes that have taken place in my life lately. I am in South Carolina! I have moved to Charleston from the beautiful mountains of North Carolina, my favorite home here on earth! Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought this move to Charleston would be a part of my life plan! I believe in God wholeheartedly and I am learning to be "completely" His. He said go and we picked up and went. He said go and He paid for it down to the last penny and provided a job that was more than we could ever have imagined or hoped for! Therefore, this move has been easy on my soul, hard on my will, fatiguing for my mind and exciting for my spirit and in the middle of this jumbled up emotional whole is the prevailing purposes of God at work in me!

I understand that God is good and I act out of my faith, because of this truth. I know what God has brought into my life path will turn out to be better than I could ever imagine; even if in my right now I can't wrap my mind around what is happening! When it comes to God doing the best thing for me, there is no doubt, no temptation and no anxiety that can stand the test of His truth and promise. I believe in His goodness towards me! So, I am in South Carolina waiting for His Kingdom purposes to be worked out in me and through me. Even if I can't clearly see His intentions right now, I believe He is working them out through my salvation in my personal relationship with Him. I believe in Him and I know that He would not have brought me here without a predestined purpose in His mind and His plan!

God's purposes are being worked out in the unseen in each one of our situations for our good! He is our personal goodness advocate! We can believe this in good hope! If I meant what I said when I promised God my life and asked Him to use it for His glory, then that is why I am here in South Carolina! I am willessly waiting and expecting Him to reveal to me His purposes. Until then, I am daily being found in Him doing the work of His Kingdom through the Kingdom Trade He has already trained me in, by His Holy Spirit's strength, authority and power!

This will be another great God Adventure for me to write about because I know He is working out His plans and that always ends up with a great testimony! Today as I thought about how crazy it is that we have moved here at the worst economic times in our country, my faith and belief in God speaks louder than those fears that tickle my mind with anxiety. I will set my heart, my plans and my actions in a Holy Alignment with His truth, His thoughts, His intents and His purposes! Yes I will! I am His Ambassador in South Carolina! Yes Lord, Yes… AMEN! Faith is a living, bold trust in God's grace, so certain of God's favour that it would risk death a thousand times trusting in it. Such confidence and knowledge of God's grace makes you happy, joyful and bold in your relationship to God and all creatures. The Holy Spirit makes this happen through faith. Holy Spirit cause us to walk in a belief that yields a faith that impacts others with Your Purposes. Help us Holy Spirit and teach us to daily build our living legacy of impactive faith and may it always and forever stand; unto the next generation and even to forever! Jesus!
Help us Lord Jesus not to walk in our own strength, independent of You. We need You Lord! I pray that our plans and our actions stay within the parameters of Your purposes! I pray that we will not live out of the vanity of our humanness, but strive to be connected to You, Heart to heart in all we do! Timing is so important! If you are going to be successful in dance, you must be able to respond to rhythm and timing. It's the same in the Spirit. People who don't understand God's timing can become spiritually spastic, trying to make the right things happen at the wrong time. They don't get His rhythm - and everyone can tell they are out of step. They birth things prematurely, threatening the very lives of their God-given dreams.

Just think you are here not by chance but by GOD's choosing. His hand formed you and made you the person you are. He compares you to no one else; you are one of a kind. You lack nothing that His grace can't give you. He has allowed you to be here at this time in history to fulfill His special purpose for this generation. You are GOD's servant in GOD's place at GOD's perfect time.

JOY! Bling, Bling JOY!

Jesus 1st "J" Others 2nd "O" You 3rd "Y".

ENJOY YOUR LIFE IN HIS JOY!

Where is my JOY? For a long, long time in my life I cried out for my lost JOY! It was my deepest heart's desire as I prayed for JOY continuously day after day!

I no longer search: Where Are You JOY? I found it as I positioned myself in His Joy, Holy Purposes Aligned In Him! Have you lost your JOY? Then begin by praying for His Joy which flows in this Holy Spirit, guided and anointed order:

Jesus 1st "J" Others 2nd "O" You 3rd "Y".

Pray for this kind of Joy and ask for the wisdom to be positioned in TRUE JOY! JOY takes the impossible of your situation and lines it up underneath Jesus= Jesus First In All Things!

Joy begins with…

1^stJesus and all that is made possible because of Him!

2^ndOthers is the Kingdom Purpose that flows out of Jesus being first!

3^rdYou standing in Jesus 1st, being found underneath His Authority!

When you keep Jesus first, you naturally will secondly be found in the Promised Purpose He has for your life which is Others and You will thrive in Joy as you stay Positioned in His Grace! You put Him first= Jesus; His Kingdom purpose second = Others and your desires third = You

This Is TRUE JOY!!

The more He is first, the more He carries, the more others are second, the more you are fulfilled because the principle of seeking first the Kingdom of God will bring forth the promise that in all your everything God will work good out of your desires. This truth is contained in: Jesus Others You. JOY! True Joy is all about position which connects your focus with apposite flow and anoints your life in JOY. The apposite course of Joy is Jesus, Others, You=JOY!

Have You Gotten Off Course?

Let's say we have somehow gotten off course, which I like to say we have taken a "bunny trail" in life that is leading us down a crooked, lifeless path! Dead end "bunny trails" twist up our JOY through long and winding roads that always lead to a place we are not destined to be; a dead end consign of evil strategies that equals YOJ… a scrambled up mess of our JOY! I have followed so many of these "bunny trails" that always seem to begin with a road signed, "d as in 'd' for devil"! Some of these unfortunate "d" bunny trails I have followed are: disappointment, displeasure, disillusionment, disapproval, discouragement, defeat, distress, dejection, discontentment, dissatisfaction and depression… the list can go on and on! Have you also traveled on these bunny trails and ended up joyless?

Have You Lost Your Joy?

When you say you have lost your joy, it means you have probably taken one of the above "bunny trails" and it has twisted up your path to JOY and left you confused or better put, scrambled your Joy and rewritten it as YOJ, which doesn't equate at all to JOY, the joy you loved and knew! When you lose your way because of a "bunny trail", it is easy to become confused by the devil and exchange your clear focus of true JOY and that means somehow you have shifted your position so that you are seeing more of You first… YOJ!

Are You Joyless?

Where are you? Which "d" bunny trail have you wandered off on? Think about it! If you are joyless, you could be on a bunny trail of disillusionment because you are fixating on your worldly stuff by over thinking how you can handle it, arrange it and plan for it without putting Jesus first? Then you are therefore, exchanging your position and substituting your enlightened JOY for a perplexed mix of YOJ! It can happen so easily! Think of the many bunny trails you can take when you switch the order and put Others before Jesus as You assume you can fix everyone's problems on your own and instead end up on a "bunny trail" of discouragement that displaces J-O-Y with Y-O-J, creating a senseless mess and dumping you off in a heap of foolishness as your bunny trail dead ends on a path called defeat!

Are You Lost On A Bunny Trail?

Okay if you are lost somewhere on a "bunny trail", I know you are hopping or should I say hoping to get your JOY back in line and find a flipside to the life-tapestry God is creating for you! Don't give up! Just do what it takes to get repositioned in JOY; it is just a little behavior modification, an adjustment of "will to willessness" that places you back in harmony and gives you the right perspective of "complete belief" that always leads to JOY! If you are holding on to something so tightly that you "feel" is your "right" to keep, let me tell you from experience that your white knuckle grip is a sure sign of your will activating your own plan! As you keep trying and trying to keep what you believe you have a right to, you will become more and more discontent, disillusioned, dissatisfied and disunified with God; paralleling yourself with your plans and not His purposes and creating a life perspective that positions You first and changes you to YOJ = NO JOY!

Restore Your Postion Of Joy!

To get back to a Holy Alignment or should I say a Holy Alliance with God and take back your JOY, I suggest this: STOP right where you are and let go of everything that encumbers you; by taking off every human wish, expectation and yoke you have picked up along the way and put on your shoulders to balance. Lay them down, right now! STOP and be still and know God will come to where you are and rescue you and lead you out of this barren joyless wilderness! Yes God can and He is able and He will set you back on a straight path and restore your position of JOY!

Let Be, Be Still and Wait on God=JOY RESTORED!

Joyless One! Stop where you are! Call out to Jesus! He will come to You, He will set you on the right course, His designed life-path for you. Almighty God will realign your position to JOY!

Are You In?

The Lord asked me this morning: ARE YOU IN?

"Are You In? Cast Your Lot In With Me… Completely! Cling Tighter To Me! Dig Your Roots Deeper In My Kingdom! Because there is a storm coming of great magnitude and if you are not In, Completely In with Me… you will be swept away! Are You In?"

So, the next Presidential Debate (that is next week) lets pass the word that while it plays outloud for the nation, we pray outloud for the nation… Are You In?

I woke up this morning with this Psalm 58 on my heart and knew the Lord wanted me to look at it, that He wanted to say something to me this morning... and after I read it I was stunned because it is not your usual thing to wake up to… but I felt God whisper in that still small voice:

"This is exactly a picture of how I feel about all your heart corrupted American Politicians who thought they could do business as usual without Me… and by the way… everyone is part of the whole of it. Repent! Bow Before Me And Make Me First! Are You In?"

Psalm 58:1-5 A David Psalm

Is this any way to run a country? Is there an honest politician in the house? Behind the scenes you brew cauldrons of evil, behind closed doors you make deals with demons. 3-5 The wicked crawl from the wrong side of the cradle; their first words out of the womb are lies. poison, lethal rattlesnake poison, drips from their forked tongues— Deaf to threats, deaf to charm, decades of wax built up in their ears.

This psalm does not get much better from there on… read it for yourself and see… OHHHHH interesting!! The thing that does put a catch in my heart this morning is that if we all our tired, very tired of all the lies, the bashing the staged and scripted debates we have been subjected to in this election for way over a year now, I wonder how God feels? Words spoken where after they are spent, there is not much that is said that is truth, plain truth! Facts that are being stretched, spun, taken out of context, whitewashed or straight out untrue! If we are so very inwardly disturbed by it all… again… think of how God feels!! Selah!!!

I think this Psalm 58 will give you a tiny view of His righteous anger. I don't think of God much in that way, because He is so good and that goodness is so prevalent all around me in so many ways. He is truly an amazing Creator, Provider, Friend and Lord! He does have that side of His personality that is slow to anger, yet I have seen by the testimonies of our fore-fathers that when He does decide to erratic sin… look out!! He does it and He does it completely, swiftly and finally!

Ezekiel 18:30-33

Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, says the Lord God. Repent and turn from all your transgressions, lest iniquity be your ruin and so shall they not be a stumbling block to you. 31Cast away from you all your transgressions by which you have transgressed against Me, and make you a new mind and heart and a new spirit. For why will you die, O house of Israel? 32For I have no pleasure in the death of him who dies, says the Lord God. Therefore turn (be converted) and live!

I know… very sobering thoughts this morning! Yes, it also took me completely off guard too and maybe that was His Purpose at work in me, taking off some blinders… because as I can see for a long, long time the Lord has been very patient with us and has not really judged harshly all the foolishness that has been going on over the past years…. but now… could it be the end of such patience?

Ahhhh… we truly need to not just say let's humble ourselves and pray, we need to do it. So the next Presidential Debate, lets pass the word that while it plays out, we pray out… we cry out to God, we beg for forgiveness and we raise up from that prayer turned to fully face the wind of our generation and stand in the visage of that spinning airstream of untruths, deceptions and unreality with God's New Courage and His Renewed Confidence in our hearts, on our lips and through our lives. Yes! Grasp the Mighty Right Hand of God with a heart engaged in His Passion and expending a New Tenacity, His Resolve! A renewed steadfastness that is completely, wholeheartedly Impassioned by God's Spirit by a Bold Righteousness that Glows His Glory in our all in all ! Let's begin to HOPE BIG in the POWER OF ALMIGHTY GOD and stop putting our trust in the casket of human ability! We can't let them take our honesty from us, rationalize our Truth and make it a matter of cultural relevancy instead of Relationship In Obedience To Our God! Are You In? Are You In With The Only One True Voice Of Truth! Listen To Him! He Is The True Message, A Different Story Than The One We Are Hearing Today! Choose To Listen To Jesus! Cast Your Lot In With Him!

I think and I hope that this political funk that this country is in must stop affecting our lives with its discouragement right now! Take Heart, guard Your heart with the Living Truth of God's Word and position yourself squarely aligned with His Grace in a Holy Alliance with His Spirit! No… stop this foolishness that has gone on way too long! Our lives can't be centered around an election where nothing is based on truth or genuine hope, be found head-on in the Presence Of Christ Jesus!

Jesus is saying to us today: "The words of these politicians are just fluff, empty words that enlightened human expectancy without heavenly return!"

Proverbs 16:27-33

Mean people spread mean gossip; their words smart and burn. 28 Troublemakers start fights; gossips break up friendships. 29 Calloused climbers betray their very own friends; they'd stab their own grandmothers in the back. 30 A shifty eye betrays an evil intention; a clenched jaw signals trouble ahead. 31 Gray hair is a mark of distinction, the award for a God-loyal life. 32 Moderation is better than muscle, self-control better than political power. 33 Make your motions and cast your votes, but God has the final say.

Come on! Are You In? We need to get back into living in the reality of spoken words that prove to be 100 percent accurate… God's Words! We need to live out of the center of His will not the dead ended hopes of political speeches full of words that are old news, dull, boring spin of yesterday's made up imaginations!

We shall find and take all kinds of precious goods [when our victims are put out of the way], we shall fill our houses with plunder; 14Throw in your lot with us [they insist] and be a sworn brother and comrade; let us all have one purse in common-- 15My son, do not walk in the way with them; restrain your foot from their path;

God says to you today: "Are You In? Are You In For A Hope That Is True? Throw in your lot with Me! Turn away from the untruths, the spin and do not walk on this path. Return To Me! Walk With Me! Cast Your Lot In With Me? Are You In?"

How many of you are sick to death of "spin"! God is too! His desire is for His Life to be lived out in a renewed American Legacy of His Spirit and Complete Truth! He is the only Solution that leads to a Living Legacy that stands the test of time from here to there unto forever!

Are you In? I am… I am totally In With God! I am In? Are You In? Are You Casting Your Lots In With God's Purposes, God's Intents, God's Hopes, God's Dreams becoming a reality in our Nation, in all our hearts?

Are You In? Well… hang on because this is going to be a wild ride because God is about to circumcise the heart of America and cut out the corrupt section, the sick path that dysfunction spin has created and turn this Nation in a new direction of the Fullness of His Spirit And Truth! Wicked judges described and reproved.

When wrong is done under the form of law, it is worse than any other; especially it is grievous to behold those who profess to be children of God, joining together against any of his people. We should thank the Lord for merciful restraints; we should be more earnest in seeking renewing grace, more watchful over ourselves, and more patient under the effects of fallen nature in others. The corruption of their nature was the root of bitterness. We may see in children the wickedness of the world beginning. They go astray from God and their duty as soon as possibly they can. And how soon will little children tell lies! It is our duty to take pains to teach them, and above all, earnestly to pray for converting grace to make our children new creatures. Though the poison be within, much of it may be kept from breaking forth to injure others. When the Saviour's words are duly regarded, the serpent becomes harmless. But those who refuse to hear heavenly wisdom, must perish miserably, for ever. (Ps 58:6-11)

A prayer that they may be disabled, and their ruin predicted.

David prayed that the enemies of God's church and people might be disabled to do further mischief. We may, in faith, pray against the designs of the enemies of the church. He foretells their ruin. And who knows the power of God's anger? The victories of the Just One, in his own person and that of his servants, over the enemies of man's salvation, produce a joy which springs not from revenge, but from a view of the Divine mercy, justice, and truth, shown in the redemption of the elect, the punishment of the ungodly, and the fulfillment of the promises. Whoever duly considers these things, will diligently seek the reward of righteousness, and adore the Providence which orders all thing aright in heaven and in earth.

Discouraged? Take Heart!

Discouragement comes into your heart much like a long night that ushers in a dense morning fog. When the fog settles in to the mountain valley, it is going to be around for a while and there is not much you can do to change it. Are You Discouraged….TAKE HEART!

Recently, I had a conversation with the Lord about a memory I have of how God used discouragement to shape my inner personality for good! Here is that conversation between me and God:

"Lord, I like to run full out for You! It gives me joy unspeakable! It is completely my heart's desire to run the race You have set before me with excellence! The thing that trumps my inner personality, derailing my life-race at times, is my independent nature trying to be a perfectionist, instead of being completely Yours!

When I am running my pursuit of Your Kingdom in this life-race that You have set my course for, there are times I willfully decide to let loose those impulsive spurts of my own personally designed precision racing! I also have realized that You purposely let me go the way of my will and learn on my own about the consequences of an erratic life pace!

There have been those times in my life-race that I have willfully and arrogantly left Your side Lord; foolishly thinking I did not need to run my race following my Pace Setter all the time! Yes, I was of the opinion I was smart enough to set my own pace! Ahhhh Lord, I have learned the lesson of my pride going arrogantly off on its own without Your guidance! Ahhh Yes… I have done some pretty foolish things! LOL! Yet… You still love me!!

Lord, I remember the first time I impulsively stopped mid-sprint because I let myself be distracted by something that I felt I could do, something that was good, but not in line with the course You had paced out for me. Remember the time Lord, that I changed my course to pick up and carry another person's problems? I rationalized it would be okay to try to run the course You set out for me and help them too. I presumed that it would be acceptable for me to make a little diversion in my life path! I imagined and day dreamed that I could do this good thing! In my opinion, I could make it work out for all of us! My self image was really inflated! I was that good!! I felt I could really help them and still run the race that You had set out for me! I contemplated about the wisdom I had learned along the way on my life-path and reasoned that I had the perspective that could solve their problems. I could fix them! I had the solution! I just had to figure it all out!

I remember You and I talked about it and You, Lord, asked me to stay my course, but I willfully decided I could do both, so I made a slight adjustment in my divine itinerary to accommodate what I wanted to do. I then white-washed my disobedience with the rationalization that I was doing a good thing, that I naturally had all the ability to do! Oh, I can't tell you how many times after that I thought those same foolish thoughts and I piled on more and more of other people's life equations that needed answers! I guess I don't have to tell You, You watched the whole thing unravel, knowing where it would end!

You know Lord, at first, I felt very invincible as I kept adding more and more weight in my backpack, but after a while of sweating, persevering and toting all that extra load, I found myself dragging my feet as everyone began freely flying by me.

It was at that point frustration began to set in my soul and do You remember that I had the gall to question You! Wow, I did… didn't I Lord! I arrogantly asked You why I seemed to be the only one weighed down! I was snotty wasn't I Lord when I ask You: "Why can't I keep up with the rest? Why don't You give me Your strength to help me with this yoke of burdens?" I got even more bigheaded with You as I said this: "It is not fair that everyone else is passing me up when I am trying to do something good! Why am I failing when I am trying to do what is right?" Isn't it funny that I blamed You and accused You of not being just! Blame… Be Lame! And that I was! I limped right out of Your Presence bitterly determined to do it myself! I said: "If You are not going to help me, I will just have to do it myself!" How foolish was that??!!

I remember after that conversation, You Lord, just patiently jogged beside me, looking on and waiting for my will to collapse, knowing that soon I would find out how much I needed to depend upon You. I have to smile when I think back on that little independent trek I took with my will erroneously leading my spirit and how I kept stubbornly trying to keep up my self-determined pace. I pushed myself so hard! I had something to prove! Of course by then, my tempo was slower than a snail and I was way behind as my dashed expectations added further heaviness to my emotional baggage! I stupidly kept expending my reserve energy by complaining and whining about how I could not keep up with my mind bogged down; creating its own "back-ak-wards spin" as it was in pursuit of the perfect answers for all the unsolved problems I still carried in my backpack! I ignorantly kept up my willful pace even though my soul was juggling too much weight, which kept me continuously off balance! The worst part of my independence run amuck was the way my discouraged emotions were tipping the scales of my spirit into overkill.

Now as I look back in heavenly hindsight of that moment in time, I remember You are smiling Lord, as You silently watched me obstinately dragging my will, which by then was completely hogged tied by my pride! I was feeling tired all the time, my mind was in a fog and my soul was screaming for rest! Suddenly my spirit succumbs to complete discouragement and crashes into my will, sending me tumbling, plummeting downward into depression. I find myself in a heap on the floor of a dark pit of despair! My will is broken, my soul is bruised and my spirit is crying out in the pain of it all! I sat there stunned as I realized I could not see You anywhere and I cried out: "Where are you God? Why have you left me? Then truth that stood the test of my foolishness spoke to my inner man in a still small voice and my rationalization turned to reality and I humbled myself and out of a contrite heart I spoke: "I am so sorry! Please Forgive Me Lord!" I remember the cleansing tears flowing and then immediately seeing a hand, the Right Hand of God offered to me and wisely choosing to take it!

The sweetest thing I committed to memory from this lesson was the first thing You did Lord, after I took Your Right Hand in mine and you pulled me up from the pit! I will never forget how You gently took the yoke off me and then fully embraced me to Your bosom! I felt such unconditional love! It was a precious worship moment that I have written on my heart! You then nurtured and cared for my wounded soul, and when I was ready, You instructed me and set my feet back on the course You originally had designed for me and told me to follow You. At that moment, I remember feeling overwhelmed with gratefulness for this new opportunity, the second chance to finish the race You started with Me and I stepped out into a brand new adventure with You!

Lord God, I love You! I know in my heart, this time I will run the course set out before me! I will jog in step with My Pacesetter because I have learned this valuable life lesson from The Course Designer!"

The one thing that still inspires me is the significant role that discouragement played in getting me to follow a pace prescribed in willessness, positioned in the grace of My Pacesetter and run with His purpose! His ways are truly not our ways and I would never have expected that the negative of discouragement could be used for such a positive change in me!

Have you ever been discouraged? I realize that discouragement at the onset is a bad feeling, but God can use it for a good and tangible result! Are you discouraged? Take Heart!! Something good is about to happen! It did in me! Something good for me happened right after discouragement! Willessness! Take Heart, Be Of Good Cheer… Don't Be Discouraged… BE FOUND IN JESUS! Let The Hope Of God, Jesus Christ Be Your Pace Setter And Run Your Race Excellently. Stay Your Course, Set Your Eyes On Jesus And Follow Him!

Dig Deeper…. Pray Deeper….Live Deeper….Just Do It!!

Discouragement can also be used as an obstacle to fog up our life-path and try to keep us from the clarity we need to stay the course and run the race set before us with faith!

Father God it is Your Truth, Your very Words, The Sword of The Spirit that You have freely given us, our Bible… where we can find the discernment to deal wisely in the times of heavy enemy fog. You, Lord God will give us the courage to make our way and to press on through the fog of discouragement until Your Bright Son-Shine burns it completely off our life path! Holy Spirit teach us how not to fall prey to the temptation to stop and visit with our discouragement in times of fog, but to take heart and continue the course set before us, the race You have given us, with faithfulness, persistence and perseverance.

Jesus teach us to P-R-E-S-S through our discouragements by clinging to You and setting our roots deeper in Your Kingdom and to play out our designed game with You by Your full court

P-R-E-S-S….

P-Pray Unceasingly In Belief And Hope

R-Renew Our Hearts Only In Your Presence

E- Encouraging One Another Unto Your Spirit

S- Seek You First And Foremost In Our All In All

S- Serve Unto You With Undivided Hearts Of Faith.
