Operation Encouragement!

Talk It Up!

Meeting Tuesday, October 14th!

Military Families Perusing Psalm Three

Psalm 3 A Morning Prayer

David sang this when he ran away from his son Absalom.1 Lord, I have many enemies! Many people have turned against me. 2 Many are saying about me, "God won't rescue him." Selah 3 But, Lord, you are my shield, my wonderful God who gives me courage. 4 I will pray to the Lord, and he will answer me from his holy mountain. Selah 5 I can lie down and go to sleep, and I will wake up again, because the Lord gives me strength. 6 Thousands of troops may surround me, but I am not afraid. 7 Lord, rise up! My God, come save me! You have struck my enemies on the cheek; you have broken the teeth of the wicked. 8 The Lord can save his people. Lord, bless your people. Selah

PRAISE LEADS THE WAY!

Isaiah 61:10

I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul will exult in my God; for He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

Psalm 104:1

O my soul, bless God! God, my God, how great you are! Beautifully, gloriously robed,

Dressed up in sunshine, and all heaven stretched out for your tent.

THOUGHTS FROM THE HEART!

I lay down my head on my pillow at night, in my soft bed knowing that I am somewhat safe and I think of you. I know that your safety is an all day issue and I wonder how your courage holds you? I question how you can lay your head down in the sand and curl up next to a rock and sleep, knowing that your enemy lurks near. I think about Courage and I know that I have some courage, but not like you! Your courage has to be activated from morning till evening and unto the same. How do you do it my warrior? How do you stretch your courage from day to day as you face the unknown enemy morning, noon and night?

THOUGHTS FROM GOD'S HEART!

Isaiah 51:15-16

I am the Lord your God, who stirs the sea and makes the waves roar. My name is the Lord All-Powerful. 16 I will give you the words I want you to say. I will cover you with my hands and protect you. I made the heavens and the earth, and I say to Jerusalem, 'You are my people.' "

Deuteronomy 31: 6

So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you."

WARRIOR PROMISE!

Psalm 3:3-6

But you, God, shield me on all sides; You ground my feet, you lift my head high; With all my might I shout up to God, His answers thunder from the holy mountain. 5-6 I stretch myself out. I sleep. Then I'm up again—rested, tall and steady, Fearless before the enemy mobs coming at me from all sides.
