#poiema Gospel Of John Study http://www.biltmorebaptist.org/poiema

http://www.biltmorebaptist.org/Poiema

1st Session Notes:

John wanted us to know Jesus as God and believe in Him

God is for me- The Lion of Judah, He is on my side

I know, Lord Jesus that You are for me, You never fail me

Obedience Works! God's Ways Are For Your Good! Not Always Fun- But Good For You!

The Life Is In God's Word!

Poiema: A masterpiece, a work of art that resembles Jesus

Key Verse Of John:

John 20:30-31

There are also many other signs and miracles which Jesus performed in the presence of the disciples which are not written in this book. 31But these are written (recorded) in order that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ (the Anointed One), the Son of God, and that through believing and cleaving to and trusting and relying upon Him you may have life through (in) His name [[a]through Who He is].(A)

Cross references: A.John 20:31 : Ps 2:7, 12 Amplified Bible (AMP) Copyright © 1954, 1958, 1962, 1964, 1965, 1987 by The Lockman Foundation

John really wanted us to Know God personally and to believe Who He was by trusting and relying on Him, being dependent in relationship not independent in religiousity!

Now is a time-where no time has ever existed- we need to be dependent in relationship W/Jesus-not independent in religiosity

John 13:33 Tells us just how much God loves us

Jesus is the door to the Father God

Jesus is the way to make your finances glorify Him

Audacious Jesus! John 8:54-59

Jesus said, "If I turned the spotlight on myself, it wouldn't amount to anything. But my Father, the same One you say is your Father, put me here at this time and place of splendor. You haven't recognized him in this. But I have. If I, in false modesty, said I didn't know what was going on, I would be as much of a liar as you are. But I do know, and I am doing what he says. Abraham—your 'father'—with jubilant faith looked down the corridors of history and saw my day coming. He saw it and cheered." 57The Jews said, "You're not even fifty years old—and Abraham saw you?" 58"Believe me," said Jesus, "I am who I am long before Abraham was anything." 59That did it—pushed them over the edge. They picked up rocks to throw at him. But Jesus slipped away, getting out of the Temple.

Jesus Is The I AM! He is 100 percent divine!

Jesus was saying to the Pharisses I am because I said so! I will be, can be, may be and will keep on being. Ex 3:13 I AM!

Jesus had an inner circle and John who wrote the Gospel of John was a part of that. Matt 17:1

John was very relational with Jesus. John 13:33

HOMEWORK: WEEK ONE STUDY IN JOHN FROM POEIMA

Memory Verse: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God John 1: 1

John 1:1-5

Write the phrases in this passage that indicate Jesus is eternal

All things were made and came into existence through Him

1IN THE beginning [before all time] was the Word ([a]Christ

2He was present originally with God.

Jesus was all the "Thoughts of God" in human form! I love that! #poiema study

The Omniscient genius of the creator of the universe became flesh #poiema study

The greek verb for "was" in verse 1 means not a completed accomplishment, but an ongoing existence that transcends time as we know it.

How does this reality affect your own past, present, future and eternity?

My Thoughts About This:

I am completed in Christ! He was in my past-is in my present-will be in my future. I am completely eternally His!

Colossians 1:15-17

Christ Holds It All Together

15-18We look at this Son and see the God who cannot be seen. We look at this Son and see God's original purpose in everything created. For everything, absolutely everything, above and below, visible and invisible, rank after rank after rank of angels—everything got started in him and finds its purpose in him. He was there before any of it came into existence and holds it all together right up to this moment. And when it comes to the church, he organizes and holds it together, like a head does a body.

The Message (MSG)Copyright © 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 2000, 2001, 2002 by Eugene H. Peterson

What do these verse confirm about Jesus and the moment of creation? What do they say about Jesus' authority?

*My THOUGHTS:

He was there and now He holds it all together….

Verse 1 says Jesus "WAS" Read Hebrews 1:2-3 and make a list of the attributes of the Son of God

Amplified Bible (AMP)

Hebrews 1:2-3

2[But] in [a]the last of these days He has spoken to us in [the person of a] Son, Whom He appointed Heir and lawful Owner of all things, also by and through Whom He created the worlds and the reaches of space and the ages of time [He made, produced, built, operated, and arranged them in order]. 3He is the sole expression of the glory of God [the Light-being, the [b]out-raying or radiance of the divine], and He is the perfect imprint and very image of [God's] nature, upholding and maintaining and guiding and propelling the universe by His mighty word of power. When He had by offering Himself accomplished our cleansing of sins and riddance of guilt, He sat down at the right hand of the divine Majesty on high,

Amplified Bible (AMP) Copyright © 1954, 1958, 1962, 1964, 1965, 1987 by The Lockman Foundation

*My THOUGHTS:

A Son… An Heir… A Lawful Owner Of All Things… Creator Of The World… Sole Expression of the Glory of God… Light- Radience of the divine… Perfect imprint-image of God's nature. Upholder of the Universe… Maintainer of the Universe… Guider of the Universe… Propeller of the Universe by His Mighty Word of Power… Sacrifice for our sins…

*My THOUGHTS:

Jesus, You are HUGE! I stand in AWE of You. Please tell me more about Yourself. Heart to Heart! I want to know You more! #poiema

Notes From Joyce Meyer TV program

Joyce Meyer

  • God provides everything we need, every time we need it and as much as we need!
  • Ephesians 1:171-19
  • Hope of your calling and your inheritance.
  • As Christians, we try hard to get in a chair we are already sitting in
  • We have already been made right with God, we have righteousness in our spirit, a natural fruit of it is to produce good behavior… When you are trying to do something to prove you are something, you get frustrated.
  • Learn Who you are in Christ and what you inheritance is. You do the good works because God loves you, not to get God to love you.
  • It is very important to find out about our inheritance. Jesus left us one. Make sure you are reading His Will, learning what you have in Christ.
  • We need to know we can know God, Jesus died for us to have a deep personal relationship. Conversational Relationship with Almighty God.
  • Know the inheritance that is yours, know the power available to you.
  • Things we can expect from God as part of that inheritance.
  • Jehovah Jireh, our Provider.
  • God provides anything we need, anytime we need it and as much as we need.
  • Depend upon God, let Him know that we are depending on Him.
  • What you have your confidence in can suddenly not be there anymore, yet we must know whatever on this earth shakes God is still here, ready to meet our needs.
  • God supplies the strength we need for everything we need to confront and deal with in life.
  • You don't have to grumble, complain and say you can't take another day. If you are in that situation. You have everything you need in that situation to be there and be there with joy.
  • When you have had a long time of disappointing things you can get in a bad habit of expecting more of the same.
  • Dread… you have so many problems you are afraid you are going to have another one and can't face another day, thinking what next? Evil forebodings… Proverbs 15:15 All the days of the desponding and afflicted are made evil by anxious thoughts and forebodings but he who has a glad heart has a continual feast.
  • Expecting something bad to happen because you have had so many bad things that have happened… evil forebodings… expecting the negative. Satan whants us to expect something bad, fear is the opposite of faith. Satan has an evil plan for our lives and if we are not careful we can open the door to the enemy by expecting bad things.
  • Waiting on God is a very spiritual-active time in your life. Wait in the Hebrew or Greek means ot be expecting, looking for, longing for with an outstretched arm and heart for the goodness of God to show up in your life!
  • Part of your inheritance is to get up everyday and long for the goodness of God to show up, execting the good of God to happen in your life. God is working in my life right now!
  • Just because you don't see and feel something, doesn't mean God is not working. God is working as we pray and believe. Learn to see with Your spiritual Eye
  • Psalm 62:1 Who are you waiting on? Government- Family- Friends…. God did not create you for dependency on other things, wants us to depend on Him. Always be expecting God to cause you to be Philippians 4: self sufficient, possessing enough to require no aid… overflowing abundance so your needs are met and you can be a need meeter Psaom 62:5-6 My hope and expectation are from God! When you expect something bad to happen, your expectation is from the devil.
  • Where there is life, death has to go, we have already won the war, we are fighting a few battles and we are fighting them right.
  • VS 6 He only is my Rock and Salvation… I shall not be moved!
  • Andrew Murray: The Believers Secret To Waiting On God!
  • Waiting on God is being the most spiritually active than at any other time, you are expecting God to do something great!
  • You have to live in that ready state where you are believing God today, today is the day and you are waiting for a suddenly.
  • The enemy loves for us to get into agreement with Him, saying things like: Who knows when I will get a job… Maybe we will lose our house…
  • You get a report and it becomes your problem, that is where you go wrong, don't claim it, wait on God, He has the final say. Waiting is expecting God to work… There is nothing you can't overcome with God on your side if you put your expectations in Him.
  • We are not anointed by the Holy Spirit to give up, we are getting up kind of people.
  • Waiting on God is not a passive thing, it is in your heart aggressively expecting God to live with an enthusiasm, that today something good is going to happen, today is my day. Today God's healing power is working in me. You do not have to live miserable and sad, you can cheer yourself up with faith, hope and joy! Aggressively…
  • We are to live with a holy expectancy Andrew Murray
  • Lamentations 3:25 The Lord is good to those who wait hopefully and expectantly for Him.
  • No matter how shaky things might seem in your life, God is a solid Rock. He wants to meet your needs, He is your source.

1/11/2011 Six Things To Say On

Joyce Meyer 1/11/11

Things To Say On….

  • You have control over how you feel…
  • Six things that you should do with your mouth. Concentrate on what you should do and not what you should not do. We defeat ourselves because we keep our mind on the wrong things we are doing instead of concentrating on the good things we need to do
  • We overcome evil with good. We need to concentrate on the positive things we should do.
  • If you are using your mouth for good you will have amazing answers to prayer Is 58:9 You will be filled with the Spirit. Human beings are leaky and we need to be according to Eph 5:18-19 be ever filled with the spirit, speaking to yourself with Ps and Hymns
  • Be ever filled with the spirit… talk to yourself and other people right…
  • The way you talk to yourself about yourself, the words that come out of your mouth about yourself is some of the most important words to pay attention to.
  • Like: Nothing good ever works out for me… Everytime I get some money we lose it… You have to stop saying things like that Heb 4:14 You can't rise above your confession. Jesus wants us to say the same things God says… not speaking out of our feelings, or according to our circumstances, we need to speak the Word of God. God's Word is life and spirit.
  • Stop calling things that are as if they are always going to be that way. Start calling those things that be not as though they are. Self talk is really important, if you want to be filled with the Spirit, speak to yourself the right way.
  • Joy will increase when you begin to use your mouth for what you should use it for. We depress ourselves with our own conversation.
  • Prov 18:20-21 The power of life and death is in the tongue… we eat our own words…
  • You have some control over how you feel…. If you wake up and you don't feel good, you start talking negative… you need to say the Joy of the Lord is my strength and I am not going to spend the day depressed. Do warfare with the Words of your mouth. What you say to yourself is really important… what are you saying to you…. It closes the door to satan when you speak things God can use, refuse to complain, murmur, grumble or find fault. You can be healed physically through speaking right things..
  • 1 Cor 3:1-3 Live under the control of ordinary impulsive… All you have to do is listen to a person and you can tell how spiritual they are….Watch people in trials, watch them when they don't get what they want…
  • Oh I was only kidding, I did not mean that… Yes you did because it came out of your mouth, it had to be in your heart to form some kind of bond that brought you to the point that you spoke it…
  • What comes out of your mouth reveals the person you are. Love- or selfishness Greed or Jealously… Listen to what people are saying, it tells a lot.
  • Don't hang out or let people in your inner circle who are selfish, greedy, carnal, compromising carnal Christian… Every time your open your mouth, your thoughts parade out of your heart.
  • Stay busy blessing everything that you can possibly bless… you have the power to bless and the power to curse by the words of your mouth
  • Numbers 6:23-27 say to them… the Lord bless you and watch guard and keep you, make His face to shine upon you and give you favor… What an awesome prayer to be spoken over your life… Every day you get up… God I bless this day in Jesus name… live under the blessings and be blessed when you go in and when you go out… say things that add to your life, not what will substract .
  • James 3:10 get rid of the mixture… don't curse the day by saying something negative about it, this day is going to be a blessing…
  • Duet 28: Speak these things over your life, you can overcome whatever someone says negatively by speaking positively. You don't have to live under the curse of what other people say, the negative confession, by speaking positively
  • VS 5 I am blessed in my grocery basket…
  • Blessed shall you be when you come in and when you go out… I am blessed at work, on the highway, start taking some authority over your life from the devil, and speak the Words of God.
  • VS 7 You don't have to be afraid of the devil… the Lord shall command the blessing .. in your storehouse… everything I undertake is blessed…
  • VS 11 A surpluss through the fruit of your body… your work
  • VS 13… the head and not the tail, above and not beneath…
  • We don't realize how much we are hindered from living the future because we keep disagreeing with His plan by the things we say…
  • Give the devil a revelation: I am blessed
  • Be busy with concerning our mouth… Ps 100:4 We should be thankful and say so…
  • Be thankful and say so… I have a thankful heart, that is only half of it… open your mouth, tell people you are thankful, tell God you are thankful… Take time to thank God to everything you can think of….
  • Thank Him for every blessing you can think of… complaining does not glorify God
  • 1 Thess 5:18 Complaining does not glorify God… be thankful! Say So!
  • Do not quench the Holy Spirit- keep Him from working… murmur and compaling when you have to wait long, while you are waiting, open your mouth and say: God I thank you that you are working, I may not see it, I may not feel it, but you are working! When we see some great thing happen it is not the moment He decided to do it, He has been working on it…

A Seasoned Servant Of God Has Encouraged Me Today

Pastor Elliott

Obadiah 1:3-4
3 Your presumptuous heart has deceived you, you who live in clefts of the rock in your home on the heights, who say to yourself: Who can bring me down to the ground?
4 Though you seem to soar like an eagle and make your nest among the stars, even from there I will bring you down. [This is] the Lord's declaration.

Dear Bob and Kim,

I am sure you've bought a life insurance policy at some point in your life. Basically, what you are buying is security. It's very easy to understand. We pay a fee to the insurance company and the company would pay us according to the contract we had purchased. Have you ever really stopped to read that small print?  Sadly, what is said in these contracts is not always what people understand them to say.

God's covenant with us is above and beyond any paper contract and the debt has been paid for us on the cross by God himself. His contract promises life eternal and an abundant life as well. It is written in blood that washes away sin and no attorney has ever been able to discover any loopholes.

As we have seen and heard in the past few years of economic recession worldwide, people who trust in their own plans and insurance policies for their retirement will be disappointed. Nations that put their trust in their defense systems will see them wither under the pressure of human greed and politics. Folks that judge their worth and importance on where they live and what they know will be brought low. No matter how high we rise in our own mind - God will bring us down.

Luke 18:17

17 I assure you: Whoever does not welcome the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it."

In whom do you place your trust? Preach it. Teach it. Live it. Then you will know what an abundant life truly is. Pastor Elliott

*My Prayer-HIS-THOUGHTS: KimberlyMac Shining 4-Him-Always-4Ever!*

Oh My Gosh! What A Perfect Word For Us! Thank You! Very True! We are living epistles to this word! In the last three years we have lost everything and right now are down to no jobs and no money left. The cool thing is we have exactly what we need for today. This trial has shown us so much that was in our hearts and we are so thankful for this trial, so thankful God has brought us lower than low… I wrote it out.. plus today God showed us, the greatest treasure we have is His Omnipresence! This is a beautiful song that testifies of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DNEdOZO-i98

Nehemiah Chapter 4! Family - Bride Of Christ-Repair The Walls!

Kimberly McCarthy January 17th, 2011

Thank you for praying for us during this difficult time, God has changed us, He has repaired the walls in our heart and renewed our spirits in His Kingdom purpose! Please take some time with God and grow through what we have written and experienced below… it is a very God-Important message!

AWE-GOD! He is good! We know the trial is over, even if the breakthrough has not come into sight! God has changed our hearts and His kingdom purpose for this trial is working in us and through us. God pointed out several places where the walls in our spiritual house had broken down and we repaired those walls with the wisdom the Holy Spirit gave us; we have applied the insight of the Holy Spirit and made the changes to our spiritual structure so the enemy cannot break us down any further.

The trial is over when your heart is willess and your spirit is changed by the Father God and you can see the newness of His kingdom purpose working in you and through you…Yes… only then can God's breakthrough come in His perfect timing. How can you tell the trial is over? You truly know this when you are still walking through the consequences of the trial, yet you know all is well with your soul and you are able to wait in faith upon the heavenly hindsight of God's faithfulness and His miraculous deliverance, as you begin to experience Kingdom purposes working through you!

We are waiting on God to finish what He started in the unseen and manifest it in our seen situation! Waiting in hope, all our expectations in Him, yet not passively but actively by sharing with others, helping them repair the same breach in their walls. One very important principle we have learned through this trial is you never jump out of a trial impulsively, you always give God the time He needs to work His every Kingdom purpose out, in everything and everyone involved in the trial… because eventually if you wait, if you let God be enough… it is simply-significantly all Kingdom Good!

Please take the wisdom God has given us and check your heart walls before you become heart-broken!

Be Like Nehemiah: Repair The Walls!

Beware of pillar busters- these damaged our foundation and God is rebuilding the walls with His truth and we are Stepping Out of the debris to help others repair their walls:

  • Be Completely Dependent Upon God's Holy Spirit In You! Don't Be Impulsive! Don't Fix Things In Your Own Strength! Don't Kindle Your Own Fire And Walk By The Light Of A Man-Made Fire! Let God Work- Give God The Time He Needs To Thoroughly Work His Kingdom Purposes Out. God Is Simply-Significantly Enough!
  • Idolatry makes a dusty window for God's light to shine through! Make sure your occupation does not get mixed up with your calling or your ministry become more important than your relationship with God. Don't idolize your occupation, calling or your ministry! Keep the main thing… Jesus… at the center your life! Don't compartmentalize God' Omnipresence – Let Him Be In The All Of Your Everything. Serve God- Do not please people over God. Idolatry Is Tricky And It Can Even Be Seen As A Good Thing Out Of Place Like Christian Fellowship Over Relational Followship! Followship 1st- Fellowship 2nd! God 1st In All Things Good!
  • Live within your means, because this is the position God has placed you in with His great Kingdom purpose of learning and growing your trust and faith. He wants you to see and experience Him work out His miraculous ways in your life situations, that He has prepared for you in a time such as this. Stay in the position He puts you until He promotes you! There is a Kingdom purpose in every season of life!
  • Get back to the basics of life. We have too much stuff. Simply-Significantly simplify your life! We don't need all that we have. Get your eyes off stuff and back on desiring and pursing God in all faith-hope-love! Give away your excess, it will bless someone else!
  • Bow before God daily in complete willessness; in reverent-submission; in expectant-hope; in submissive-respect; and in admiring-humble AWE! There is nothing in your life that is more important no matter how busy you might think you are or how important you might think it is; nothing is simply-significantly more important than to bow your life daily before God.
  • Don't use credit to buy what you can't afford; it is not honoring God's plan for your life; if you can't afford it, you are not supposed to have it right now. Credit Cards used in place of faith, trust and hope are idolatry and they rob us of spiritual growth, that we will need down the road. You are borrowing tomorrow's manna and it will spoil in your tomorrow.
  • Be wise, do not spend everything down to the last penny, because you can. Save your money; for the day of famine can come on you suddenly. Remember Joseph, be wise as He was. In the famine He had plenty to share. Giving is not always giving everything you have at the time, it is also saving to give later at a divine appointment.
  • Check the headship of your home; make sure it has not flip-flopped. The husband is the head of the home and He needs to bow before God every day, get the wisdom, strength, favor and Ramah to lead His family and be fully alert and aware of every incoming and outgoing provision of God. When this is flip-flopped and the wife is leading, it will eventually break the back of your home and the enemy plays into this unbalance to create instability, break down family walls and create mayhem and disunity in the family.

Please dear Jesus, accept our humblest apologies for not being everything You designed-shaped us individually to be! Change our hearts Oh Father God, forgive our sins, repair our walls and keep us clinging harder to You, digging our roots deeper into Your Kingdom.

AWE-GOD! Here We Are Knees To The Earth http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-AQL8Zk2sOk

(Knees To The Earth By Watermark)AMEN! AMEN!

And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ. – Philippians 1:9-10, NKJV

Listening is one of the deepest acts of love you can extend to another person. #LiveSticky

http://stickyJesus.com

Few people really listen anymore. In fact, it's becoming a lost part of our cultural heritage, like playing board games or writing letters. We talk about this topic quite a bit in @stickyJesus: how to live out your faith online because it's a critical part of sharing the gospel (online or off).

Becoming a great listener can be problematic because it requires you to give up the sound of your own voice. Or in the online scenario, it's the sight of your own brilliant thoughts in print. Listening requires an "others first" mentality. When you give the Holy Spirit full custody of your tongue (and your eager fingers) and start to really listen, your relationships will bloom with new life. It's true: Great ministry is led by great listeners. How can you share truth in the context of another person's unique life experiences if you don't stop talking and really, really, really listen? You can't.

There are two ways to listen online and both are important.

Listen by really reading (not scanning). What's on the heart of the person speaking? Is God speaking to me personally through this? How should I respond? What needs to be clarified? What's the true context around this thought? Is the person just venting or do they need something more? Do they want me to do something? Listen with your heart. There's always "the post behind the post," or the "tweet behind the tweet," or the "email behind the email," and so on. What is the person really saying? Is there a want, need or, desire that is woven into the unspoken. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you discern.

A good listener online:

•Prays daily before logging on.

•Empties his or her heart of any expectation.

•Allows the Holy Spirit to lead.

•Knows how to be quiet.

•Looks at words and ideas in context.

•Knows how to give to others and not just broadcast information.

•Listens to others with an open mind free of prejudice and judgment.

•Clarifies any grey areas before responding.

•Seeks to hear what's being said and hence, others feel heard.

•Seeks to understand others and hence, others feel understood.

•Asks good questions that prompt a deeper dive. (Instead of "Do you like that song?" you could ask: "So what is it you like about that song?")

•Follows up on conversations or prayer requests.

•Spends time reading other's blogs, feeds, and posts. Not to comment and be heard—but to listen and understand the other person.

For those who still think social media is just a bunch of noise, then social media for those folks will likely remain just a bunch of noise. However, for others who understand it on a more divine (and technical) level, social networks represent a critical window into the hearts and minds of individuals God has lovingly appointed to their path

Do you think you are a good listener online? Has listening made a difference in your online relationships?

*My Prayer-HIS-THOUGHTS: KimberlyMac Shining 4-Him-Always-4Ever!*

I loved this post, it was so good! Yes, I do try to hear the hearts of the people, to see behind the words and the only way you can do that is with the Holy Spirit doing it for you. One area that the Holy Spirit convicted me on is that I need to rise up higher in my listening skills when I am on other people's blogs and not comment to be heard but listen more to understand the writer… very good aspect of wisdom I need to apply! Thanks! Enjoy your day!

I am in a holy alliance with god- his word

1 John 2:15-17 "15 Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. 16 For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. 17 And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever."

Help me to listen to God's Words today, the steady stream of God's thoughts from His mouth to my mind. #prayer @worldprayr

The World will be won for God, but it will be won by the way of sacrifice and obedience.

Joyce Meyer

God wants you to have the best, and only the best, but it has to come in the right way – His way- His timing.

Our call in Christ, to Him and for Him is not about whether we have something positive/negative to say, it is about obedience! We are not to please people!

"It takes more than bread to stay alive. It takes a steady stream of words from God's mouth."

Matt.4:4 http://thebridegroomscafe.com

I will willessly bow before my AWE-GOD at the beginning of every day

And carry on a constant conversation with Him

Exhortation- The Shepherd's Communicated Love-Wisdom!

Bonnie…

Jesus took that beating for you, stop putting yourself under its lash. You have to flip-flop your life underneath God. Don't stand in the path of the sinner, stand at the foot of God's empty cross. Do what you do unto God, let God work in the lives of these people, it is not your job, it is your job to continue to serve God, to put your focus on Him, be Christ... be His love, love like you have never been hurt, remember He went to the cross for us even after Judas betrayed Him with a kiss... be Christ let Him do the rest... speak the truth in love, then don't try to make it happen, give God the time He needs to make it happen. His purposes are intentional and the timing of them even more so. Give God time to work. Just BE... BE His, Seek 1st His Kingdom, the rest will come in His time. Offer your wisdom as a Godly appeal, leave the results up to the only one Who can change things... that is God... you can't, but you can be the best most brightest light for Jesus under that roof that anyone has ever seen... Just BE love you... mommac

Read Hosea 9:1-17

Hosea 9:1-17

1REJOICE NOT, O Israel, with exultation as do the peoples, for you have played the harlot, forsaking your God. You have loved [a harlot's] hire upon every threshing floor [ascribing the harvest to the Baals instead of to God]. 2The threshing floor and the winevat shall not feed them, and the new wine shall fail them. 3They shall not remain in the Lord's land, but Ephraim shall return to [another] Egypt and they shall eat unclean food in Assyria.(A) 4They shall not pour out wine offerings to the Lord, neither shall they be pleasing to Him. Their sacrifices shall be to them as the bread of mourners; all who eat of them shall be defiled, for their bread shall be [only] for their appetite; it shall not come into the house of the Lord [to be offered first to Him]. 5What will you do on the day of the appointed solemn assembly or festival and on the day of the feast of the Lord [when you are in exile]? 6For behold, they are gone away from devastation and destruction; Egypt shall gather them in; Memphis shall bury them. Their precious things of silver shall be in the possession of nettles; thorns shall be [growing] in their tents. 7The days of visitation and punishment have come; the days of recompense have come; Israel shall know it. The prophet is [considered] a crazed fool and the man who is inspired is [treated as if] mad or a fanatic, because of the abundance of your iniquity and because the enmity, hostility, and persecution are great.(B) 8Ephraim was [intended to be] a watchman with my God [and a prophet to the surrounding nations]; but he, that prophet, has become a fowler's snare in all his ways. There is enmity, hostility, and persecution in the house of his God. 9They have deeply corrupted themselves as in the days of Gibeah. The Lord will [earnestly] remember their iniquity; He will punish their sins.(C) 10I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers as the first ripe fruit on the fig tree in its first season, but they went to Baal-peor and consecrated themselves to that shameful thing [Baal], and they became detestable and loathsome like that which they loved. 11As for Ephraim, their glory shall fly away like a bird; there shall be no birth, no being with child, and [because of their impurity] no becoming pregnant. 12Though they bring up their children, yet will I bereave them so that not a man shall be left; yes, woe also to them when I look away and depart from them! 13Ephraim, as I have seen with Tyre, is planted in a pleasant place, but Ephraim shall bring out his children to the slayer. 14Give them [their due], O Lord! [But] what will You give? Give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts. 15All their wickedness [says the Lord] is focused in Gilgal, for there I hated them; for the wickedness of their [idolatrous] doings I will drive them out of My house [the Holy Land]; I will love them no more; all their princes are rebels.(D) 16Ephraim is smitten, their root is dried up, they shall bear no fruit. Yes, though they bring forth, yet will I slay even their beloved children. 17My God will cast them away because they did not listen to and obey Him, and they shall be wanderers and fugitives among the nations.

*My Prayer-HIS-THOUGHTS: KimberlyMac Shining 4-Him-Always-4Ever!*

We are to be watchmen with God. We are to know His heart for this nation-listening to Him 1st- praying, interceding for this nation. We are to speak God's truth into this nation. Listen to God- Speak it… His Truth! People don't want to hear negative, they don't want to hear that God is lifting His favor off this nation. Sometimes truth hurts. We need to listen to what God is saying and no matter if it is negative or positive we need to obey and share it! Our call in Christ is not about whether we have something positive/negative to say, it is about obedience! We are not to please people!

God has gently reminded me that it is like this with our writing.  That we have to go to the throne each time we write and ask for His guidance. That our words would speak into those lives that need encouragement, restoration or just a good laugh!

May we all write for the greatest Author and Finisher of our faith.  He's the greatest storyteller that knows all our endings. May we make Him proud.

1.  Do you struggle with content? Where do you seek council?

2.  Do you find yourself wishing your blog/website was like so and so?  Why?

*My THOUGHTS:

I find that my content comes with my continuous-constant conversation with God. The more I allow God to be a part of my life, the more content I write. I keep a journal. If an email encourages me, it goes in the journal that day, if a devotion encourages me, it goes in the journal and at the end of the day I realize that God's Omnipresence is not compartmentalized and He is all day long sharing His heart! I write in my journal my constant conversation with God and this is the foundation of my blog/website, my conversations with God!

*My THOUGHTS:

I think we all want to be like someone else, sometimes that is good, because we learn from others, but sometimes that is bad because we end up at times not liking (despising our beginning) what God has asked us to do. God has shaped me in a particular way, I am an exhorter, so everything I write is kind of like an exhortation from God's heart. Sometimes I do wish that I could be light and funny and just blog, but then I realize, I have to be who God created me to be and in that there is much joy!

Thanks for taking this God Adventure with me as I walk with God and talk up a constant conversation with my AWE-GOD! Please check out my site:
