Verse Of The Day@biblegateway.com

"But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble." - Psalm 59:16

Notes From Listening To Psalm 59:16:

Deliver me… from enemies… protect from those who rise up… deliver me from evil doers… save me from blood thirsty men… I have done no wrong, yet they wait to attack me… rouse yourself to punish the nations… show no mercy to wicked traitors… You laugh at what they spew from their lips… You are my fortress my loving God, God will go before me and gloat over those who slander me… sins of their mouth, let them be caught in their pride, curses and lies will consume them till they are no more… God rules to the ends of the earth… I will sing of your strength in the morning, of your love, for you are my fortress my refuge in time of trouble… I sing praise to You my loving God

Psalm 94 ~ The Message Bible 12-15

How blessed the man you train, GOD, the woman you instruct in your Word, Providing a circle of quiet within the clamor of evil, while a jail is being built for the wicked. God will never walk away from his people, never desert his precious people. Rest assured that justice is on its way and every good heart put right.

Unredeemed By Selah

My Heart Thoughts From This Song:

Life breaks and falls apart- But we know these are places where grace is soon to be so amazing. When anything that is shattered is laid before the Lord, just watch and see it will not be unredeemed. And every life that gave up hope, we live in the shadow of the fall, but the cross says these are all places where grace is… it may be unfulfilled, it may be unrestored, just watch and see it will not be unredeemed… It may be unfulfilled, it may be unrestored, but you never know the miracle the Father has in store… Isaiah 43:1

QUOTES THAT INSPIRE GROWTH AND CHANGE

When God would have us die to self, he always touches the tenderest spot...

Francois Fenelon

My Heart Thoughts From This

The places of our heart that are tender, we keep locked up by our will and when God opens the door that no man can keep shut, it breaks our will and creates in us a broken spirit where God can work His miraculous heart miracles, heal and restore! Willessness is a key to inner healing. Being willing to sit in the Potter's Chair as He touches your life shaping you in ways you are not comfortable with. Willessness is being responsive clay to the touch of the Masters Hand!

Holy Spirit Compelled

"And now, compelled by the Holy Spirit, I am going to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there." Acts 20:22

Sometimes you are compelled by the Holy Spirit. It is an undeniable and internal call to move forward in faith. You may not even know the complete details of what will follow in the future. In fact, you probably will not understand completely what God is up to, but you follow Him anyway, trusting that He knows best. To be compelled by the Holy Spirit means you must do it. In your heart you know you will be disobedient if you do not follow this new and sometimes uncertain direction. It is exciting and scary at the same time. However, these simultaneous emotions need not deter you; rather, use this newfound energy to accelerate your faith to the next level. This clarity in direction is what you have been seeking from God and in your sometimes broken and tearful petitions. So, if He is compelling you to attend graduate school, go for it. If He is compelling you to have another child, then say yes to this new opportunity for life. If He is urging you to give at new faith-stirring levels of your time and money to His Kingdom, then move quickly. There may be one country overseas where He is calling you to be a lightning rod of Kingdom transformation. Do not shrink back with fear and trepidation. Instead, trust Him with the resources and the relationships that will rise to the occasion. Your increase in faith will do the same for others. Where the Holy Spirit leads, He produces results way beyond your ability to accomplish. Indeed, your new destination may not be a safe place. It may even be hostile to you and what you stand for. However, God can still be trusted. The seeds of your service will not go unattended by the Holy Spirit. He waters, cultivates and harvests where the Word of God has been planted and nurtured. A life compelled by Christ is courageous and content!

You are "in the zone" when you are compelled by the Holy Spirit. This is a window of opportunity that cannot be denied. Seize this God-moment. You will look back and be amazed that the Holy Spirit chose you for this eternal endeavor. Your humility and gratitude will drive you to your knees in praise and adoration for your heavenly Father's blessing which is beyond measure.

This is the fruit of a Holy Spirit-compelled life lived by faith. You become a woman overwhelmed by the goodness and greatness of God. Your love for people is extraordinary because God has loved you in His supernatural manner. The Holy Spirit compels you to more life-changing results on earth because you are more surrendered in obedience to heaven's agenda. This compelling drama is beautiful and fun to watch.

A life compelled by the Holy Spirit cannot be stopped. Death may cause the body to cease from functioning, but the influence remains and may even intensify. Wow! Wooed by the Holy Spirit! Called by the Holy Spirit! And compelled by the Holy Spirit! Life is too short to not live with this compelling vision and tension. It is the tension of living by faith in Christ. Follow the Holy Spirit's compelling lead. He is with you and for you. He is at your destination in His revealing power. Do not recoil from this rendezvous with radical faith and obedience!

My Thoughts About This:

This is exactly where I believe I am growing in my walk with The Holy Spirit. I know He wants me to listen and obey even if I don't understand. He checks my spirit often and I don't listen because it is something I can't rationally understand. He has been showing me various times when I have not listened and He was trying to help me, safe me from something. Yesterday, I got up to go to my bible study, something that is good, something I enjoy and something that I am growing from. The Holy Spirit checked me and said, do not go today. I was like… WHAT? I don't understand, it is just a bible study. I went. I got stuck behind an accident for a long time and my car overheated. I had to go home. What was all that about? I could not figure it out! Then my husband asked me to go to lunch with him, so I did and we met a friend of his and I knew immediately it was a divine appointment. I wish I had listened. God had a plan and I could have saved myself a lot of discomfort if I had listened straight off. I am hoping to learn that kind of obedience, where I listen to that still small voice, even when I don't understand Why… this is truly developing my willessness, which I know the Holy Spirit is working on in me this year, shaping me into a complete willessness, a total obedience to His Voice, no matter what I think, want or feel!

Kimberly, Good things come to those who WAIT!

James 5:8 Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.

We want what we want and we want it now!

M.H. Lount taught that "God's best gifts come slowly. We could not use them if they did not. Many a man, called of God to... a work in which he is pouring out his life, is convinced that the Lord means to bring his efforts to a successful conclusion. Nevertheless, even such a confident worker grows discouraged at times and worries because results do not come as rapidly as he would desire. But growth and strength in waiting are results often greater than the end so impatiently longed for. Paul had time to realize this as he lay in prison. Moses must have asked, 'Why?' many times during the delays in Midian and in the wilderness. Jesus Himself experienced the discipline of delay in His silent years before His great public ministry began."

Kimberly, perhaps you've been waiting on something for a long time and you're weary. You're not alone! Let's ask the Lord to renew our hearts and desires today, and give us a fresh infilling of strength to wait on His perfect timing. Good things come to those who WAIT!

My Thoughts About This:

How true is that!!! For so long I was in fellowship with my wants and not in Followship of my God! I had no patience or self control when I was fellowshipping with my wants. When things did not go exactly how I planned, it blew the emotional cork off my short fused temper! I would get so frustrated, so angry and that always led to an impulsive act that I later would regret and repent over!

But growth and strength in waiting are results often greater than the end so impatiently longed for!

My Thoughts About This:

I just love this sentence, it packs a whole lot of light in a place that has been very dark in my life. Waiting! I realize now that being in fellowship with my wants was at the core of my inability to wait, my impulsive negative reaction to changes that were not in the direction I had set my will to. Followship and Fellowship had been flip flopped in my the line of my life priorities and this has caused a lot of friction to my Holy Alignment with God. This last trial truly flip-flopped my life to the right alignment of Followship 1st. When I follow God first, He works all the wants of my life out so much better than I could ever hope for or even imagine for. He does things with an eternal edge that leaves a lasting impression on my conscious, character and circumstances!

My Thoughts About This:

M.H. Lount taught that "God's best gifts come slowly" I love what he said about the truth is that the Lord does mean to finish what He starts in us. He started, has put in His best effort with the purpose of a successful completion!

one taught me. Instead, I received it by direct revelation from Jesus Christ.

There is a time to move from examining to doing, from thinking to putting into practice

Followship: We can no longer have "my plan" our lives must be all about "HIS plan", His Kingdom purposes being worked out in us!

Are you afraid? Your fear will diminish as you begin letting go of your plan and clinging to God, to His Sovereign will!

My life is nothing if I have not impacted others for Christ. I know God has a purpose for me. S. Romansville

charles spurgeon devotional

"Therefore, brethren, we are debtors." - Romans 8:12

As God's creatures, we are all debtors to him: to obey him with all our body, and soul, and strength. Having broken his commandments, as we all have, we are debtors to his justice, and we owe to him a vast amount which we are not able to pay. But of the Christian it can be said that he does not owe God's justice anything, for Christ has paid the debt his people owed; for this reason the believer owes the more to love. I am a debtor to God's grace and forgiving mercy; but I am no debtor to his justice, for he will never accuse me of a debt already paid. Christ said, "It is finished!" and by that he meant, that whatever his people owed was wiped away forever from the book of remembrance. Christ, to the uttermost, has satisfied divine justice; the account is settled; the handwriting is nailed to the cross; the receipt is given, and we are debtors to God's justice no longer. But then, because we are not debtors to our Lord in that sense, we become ten times more debtors to God than we should have been otherwise. Christian, pause and ponder for a moment. What a debtor thou art to divine sovereignty! How much thou owest to his disinterested love, for he gave his own Son that he might die for thee. Consider how much you owe to his forgiving grace, that after ten thousand affronts he loves you as infinitely as ever. Consider what you owe to his power; how he has raised you from your death in sin; how he has preserved your spiritual life; how he has kept you from falling; and how, though a thousand enemies have beset your path, you have been able to hold on your way. Consider what you owe to his immutability. Though you have changed a thousand times, he has not changed once. Thou art as deep in debt as thou canst be to every attribute of God. To God thou owest thyself, and all thou hast--yield thyself as a living sacrifice, it is but thy reasonable service. Charles Spurgeon

My Thoughts About This:

Followship is not about owing Jesus anything, it is about loving Him, being His as a living sacrifice out of love and gratitude because He is my justification and even though I change like a yo-yo up and down with my human emotions, His love for me does not change. Even though my growing is not without stumbling into sin, He preserves my eternal life by His sacrificial blood. I hold my way in this life because of His Holy Spirit, Who in my followship is my Way-Maker. I am no longer in debt to the Father God, justice has happened through Jesus Christ, yet I place myself willingly in the debt of God's Divine Sovereignty of reaching past my sin to Jesus so I could be changed with every attribute of Father God written upon my heart through Followship of Him!

I am growing, yet not without clumsily stumbling into sin… thankfully Jesus preserves my eternal life as I work out my salvation in growth spurts of learned righteousness!

Worthy News Brief @worthyemail.com

Kimberly, are you trapped? Philippians 4:11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.

Charles Swindoll wrote about these men who bring in animals from Africa for American zoos. They say that one of the hardest animals to catch there is the ringtailed monkey. For the Zulus of that continent, however, it's simple. They've been catching this agile little animal with ease for years.

The method the Zulus use is based on knowledge of the animal. Their trap is nothing more than a melon growing on a vine. The seeds of this melon are a favorite of the monkey. Knowing this, the Zulus simply cut a hole in the melon, just large enough for the monkey to insert his hand to reach the seeds inside. The monkey will stick his hand in, grab as many seeds as he can, then start to withdraw it. This he cannot do. His fist is now larger than the hole. The monkey will pull and tug, screech and fight the melon for hours. But he can't get free of the trap unless he gives up the seeds, which he refuses to do. Meanwhile, the Zulus sneak up and nab him.

There's a pretty clear moral to this story, wouldn't you say? If we really want to be free, we must let go of the things we love. The more we hold on to our earthly possessions, the more frustrated we will get and eventually, we will be entrapped.

Kimberly, let's let go of the worldly things we've been holding on to. God has much greater things for us to be doing than sitting here with our fists in a melon!

QUOTES THAT INSPIRE GROWTH AND CHANGE

The really important thing in life is not the avoidance of mistakes, but the obedience of faith. By obedience, the man is led step by step to correct his errors, whereas nothing will ever happen to him if he doesn't get going. -- Paul Tournier

Pastor Yolanda: Http://aintathatgoodnews.blogspot.com/

1 John 5:1-5 (NRSV)

God's children obey God's commandments

Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God, and everyone who loves the parent loves the child. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and obey his commandments. For the love of God is this, that we obey his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome, for whatever is born of God conquers the world. And this is the victory that conquers the world, our faith. Who is it that conquers the world but the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

My Thoughts About These Verses:

Great Scripture! Thanks! I needed that today! God is working some things out in me this year! Obedience=Willessness! Sometimes I think one goes with the other and the other does not go without the one! Obedience to God is shaped by our willessness and that alone comes by the strength of the Holy Spirit in us. Laying down our will which is closely tied to our human condition, must be a daily occurrence. I find my first step out of bed is down! Yes down! Knees to the ground! When I bow down to God in AWE of Him, out of respect-reverence for WHO He Is, my will stays down and my passion is ignited by my AWE-GOD to obey Him, love Him with excellence in my next step. I believe without developing your AWE-GOD, you will stumble over your will all day long, even though saying yes to God is sometimes moment by moment, it is nice to not have to stumble through each moment but to stand through them choice by choice being led by your reverent AWE, respectful-humility and submissive-obedience! I totally love what this scripture says about his commandments not being burdensome, the unnecessary heavy burden I carry throughout my day is most of the time, my will. In 2011 I was determined to change that. The Holy Spirit spoke to me and showed me that my first step up in the morning should be down. So, each morning I have bowed down to God, settled my AWE of Him, repositioned myself from fellowship with my will to followship of God, so far… it has been a great adventure, I find that I am less and less tripping over my will and more and more… following after God! Cool! Give it a try… take your 1st step down, knees to the ground! AWE-GOD!

Thanks for taking this God Adventure with me as I walk with God and talk up a constant conversation with my AWE-GOD! Please check out my site:
