John 5:1-8
LATER ON there was a Jewish festival (feast) for which Jesus went up to Jerusalem.2 Now there is in Jerusalem a pool near the Sheep Gate. This pool in the Hebrew is called Bethesda, having five porches (alcoves, colonnades, doorways).3 In these lay a great number of sick folk--some blind, some crippled, and some paralyzed (shriveled up)-- waiting for the bubbling up of the water. 4 For an angel of the Lord went down at appointed seasons into the pool and moved and stirred up the water; whoever then first, after the stirring up of the water, stepped in was cured of whatever disease with which he was afflicted. 5 There was a certain man there who had suffered with a deep-seated and lingering disorder for thirty-eight years.6 When Jesus noticed him lying there [helpless], knowing that he had already been a long time in that condition, He said to him, Do you want to become well? [Are you really in earnest about getting well?]7 The invalid answered, Sir, I have nobody when the water is moving to put me into the pool; but while I am trying to come [into it] myself, somebody else steps down ahead of me.8 Jesus said to him, Get up! Pick up your bed (sleeping pad) and walk!

My Thoughts About These Verses:
Bethesda means a house of kindness, grace or mercy
What can cripple us in spiritual things? Self pity, hatred, bitterness, envy, doubt, despair, unbelief
Jealousy? We can get distracted by so much, as this man was distracted by self-pity. We can be distracted by life, by not keeping our focus on God and we can lose time in getting the spiritual things of life done. The man's response shows his alignment is with himself and in self pity, He should have shown AWE- gratefulness and recognition of Who Jesus was. Instead he spoke with self-pity, so self centered, that he did not even perceive the power of Jesus, of Who Jesus was as He spoke to him. There was no excitement, no anticipation just a person stuck in a pit of pity. Sad! Jesus healed him with great Kingdom purpose, to teach all of us, even today it is relevant that we need to keep Jesus the focus of our lives in our all and everything!

Because of Jesus…. Faith is working through His love… Infinitely So! Just As If We Never Sin! So grateful Jesus has justified me. Life no longer has to be centered on what I do or don't do, but Whose I am and Whose I am being found in! Nothing can stop God from "being" in me, in this world and that just makes my heart shout with joy! God is being! God has been! God will be! No one and nothing can stop Him from being! Doesn't that make your Friday and can carry you through everyday! God is being! He is the I AM! I heard this week from @lorifrank1 "The only response to God saying in your life: "I AM"… is worship. I feel the same way about His faith working through love… He is being. I worship You Lord God! AMEN!

Too often we remember the hurt, replaying it over and over again in our minds. Forgiveness is not something we do just once. It is something we must reaffirm every day. Whenever a hurtful memory comes up, remember the word Issu-magi-jou-jun-nai-ner-mik, and say, "I can't think about it anymore, it's in God's hands." Kimberly, rather than replay the hurt you may have acquired, replay God's mercy, His grace, His love for us (and them) -- when He freely gave His life. That will enable us to forget it and move forward.

God's Favor
"When his master saw that the LORD was with him and that the LORD gave him success in everything he did, Joseph found favor in his eyes and became his attendant. Potiphar put him in charge of his household, and he entrusted to his care everything he owned." Genesis 39:3-4
The Lord's favor rests on His followers who remain faithful to Him. It is humbling to know that God extends wisdom and grace to those who go hard after Him. Though someone is separated from loved ones by a long distance, the Lord is near by to impart His calming presence. Rest assured Jesus brings success to souls who submit to His will.
Moreover, favor with God leads to favor with man. A heart connection on earth takes place when there has been a heart connection in heaven. People of influence are on the look out for those whom they can trust. It is not a small thing to delegate management and leadership responsibilities—hence those with character are entrusted with more.
"Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much" (Luke 16:10).
Therefore, stay faithful in your responsibilities as a servant leader at work and at home. It's a joyful attitude in the middle of junk that Jesus blesses. Your boss may be unreasonable, your spouse insensitive, or your child disrespectful, but the Lord and discerning people see your humble heart—and will reward you with respect, rest and responsibility.
What are you to do when God prospers you and your family? What are His eternal expectations? Certainly the Lord looks for His glory to be revealed through a life that reflects praise and thanksgiving. When we smash the idols of materialism, sex and power—and replace them with modest living, love and service—people want to know why. Questions about our "peculiar" lifestyle are meant to point people to Jesus.
"Dear friends, I urge you, as foreigners and exiles, to abstain from sinful desires, which wage war against your soul. Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us" (1 Peter 2:11-12).
So, instead of seeking the world's favor—submit to God's authority—and His favor will follow. Blessings become bountiful in a life that longs to love the Lord and people. Like the moon is a reflection of the sun's light, be a reflection of the Son's light—you will illuminate the Lord's ways to worldly wisdom and to wayward souls. The Lord is on the lookout to extend His blessings on those who fear Him. Trust Jesus and love people.
"The Lord's hand was with them, and a great number of people believed and turned to the Lord" (Acts 11:21).
Am I in a position of humble obedience and trust, so that I can experience the favor of God?

Therefore!!! No condemnation in Christ Jesus.. Law was powerless weakened by the sinful nature- God fixed by sending His Son- as a sin offering. Live according to the spirit. Sinful nature mind set on nature desires. Live according to spirit mind set according to what spirit desires… mind controlled by the spirit is life and peace. Controlled by sinful nature not pleasing God… be controlled by the Spirit of God in you. If Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin. Jesus gives life to our mortal bodies through His spirit in us. If you live according to sinful nature, you will die. Those led by God are Sons of God… we are not slaves of fear, we are the Sonship of God…. We are God's children, heirs of God… As we share in Jesus' sufferings we share in His Glory…. The glory revealed in us through suffering is awesome… WE groan inwardly as we wait for the redemption of our bodies in the hope of salvation, we wait patiently for God…. The spirit helps in our intercession, he searches our hearts… the spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will… Called to His purpose, God predestines to be like Jesus. He calls, justifies and glorifies… IN response… if God is for us, Who can be against us. He who did not spare His own son, but gave him up for all of us, He will give us all things we need. It is God Who justifies… Jesus in interceding for us. Nothing separates us from God, nothing we are growing through changes His Presence in us. He is Omnipresent. Always and forever. Nothing… separates us, present or future in all creation from God's Love.
My Thoughts About These Verses:
God fixed the sin problem by His personal sacrifice- once and for all. God is for us and has called us to His purpose. Jesus is interceding for us-Omnipresent in us- always-unto forever. Nothing stops God from being Omnipresent! Nothing! Nothing in all creation-nothing present, past or future can keep us from God. His Omnipresence is infinitely ours! From here to there unto forever, God is for us- Jesus is interceding for us- The Holy Spirit is with us!

2 Corinthians 1:20 For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.
In a traditional Jewish marriage, a contract known as the 'ketubah',(which means 'that which is written', in Hebrew) is signed be both the bride and groom. Originally, it included the price of the bride, the promises that the groom must keep and the rights to which the bride is entitled.
The ketubah was the unalienable right of the bride. It promised that the groom would work for her, honor her, support her and maintain her in truth, but most importantly, that he would never leave her side all the days of her life. Unfortunately, these days, this contract is often broken. There are many who haven't kept their promises like they should. But each of us who know the Lord, have been given a ketubah of sorts -- it's the Bible. Within our ketubah, are all the promises of God -- and God is not a man that He should lie! Kimberly, we are His bride! Let's claim the many promises He has made to us and stand in faith, knowing that He will keep His Word!

God's covenant with us is beyond a paper contract like health insurance and the debt has been paid for us on the cross by God himself. His contract promises life eternal and an abundant life as well. It is written in blood that washes away sin and no attorney has ever been or will ever be able to discover any loopholes. As we have seen and heard in the past months of economic recession, people who base their security in their health insurance plan will be disappointed. Nations that put their trust in their defense systems will see them wither under the pressure of human greed and politics. People who judge their worth and importance on where they live and what they know will be brought down. No matter how high we rise in our own mind - God will bring us down.

My husband, Bob is in the construction business and we all in this trade have taken to the road. You are no longer a project manger, you are a traveling project manager! U-Turn!! Don't you love it when God does a U-Turn in your life and everything that was familiar changes? YET, I love the word- YET- it is a God Thing! YET, My Way-Maker God made a way for me to take my church family with me! Oh He Did! Christ Fellowship Online Campus!
I don't do well with change! At first I thought… hmmmm online campus, how peculiar and totally out of my comfort zone! YET, after a continual bugging by the Holy Spirit and a heart laden with loneliness, I tried it. I am soooooooo glad I did! It was simply-significantly life changing! I love Christ Fellowship, so being at the online service was definitely the cupcake of my week, but God added icing on the top! I met friends in the online chat, and we have become family! In three years, I can't tell you how many cities I have lived in, my head is still spinning, but I can tell you that my soul is stable and wherever I am sent in this country, I have the same church family that comes with me! THOUGHT:
In a universe so incomparably vast, in a world so marvelously diverse, we can be paralyzed by our presumed insignificance and impotence in the face of such staggering enormity. God's Provision! What does that look like to you? Do you perceive it through culturalized eyes? Soon, God will show us!
God will take care of us, at first it might feel very different, because we have been culturalized for so long, with too much!
I believe there is going to come upon us a time of leanness – because of the poverty of the soul of America. How will we handle this?
In a season of leanness will we turn from God? Will we doubt God? Or will we choose to let go of our culturalized view-point-get back to Kingdom basics: Spirit and Truth!
God is going to mature the Bride of Christ! This season is upon us! Cling tightly to God's Infinite love as His Sovereign Will may feel more than we can bear.
God's Sovereign will may be hard to take, but its Kingdom purpose will usher in a season of maturity in believers!
God is/will be for us! He will deculturalize us and we will learn that He is simply-significantly our enough!
God will prove to us, all we need is Him! He will strip us of our cultural views and we will be content W/His provision

We could change the world, one person at a time if we encourage those around us to make the 1st step of their day be down! Bow! Bow down to our AWE-GOD! Developing our AWE-GOD, stirs up all the good things in our human nature and it begins by making the first moment of our day, a willess one, a one of AWE-GOD! When the 1st step is down, it helps give us a God-perspective, where we begin our day looking through the lens of God's heart, leaving on the Holy Ground of AWE, our human condition and being saturated in our spirits by God's personality, passion and purpose. Just imagine what life could be like, if everyone's first moment of every day was spent bowing submissively-reverently before God, laying down self, selfish motive, selfish gain all of self and being anointed by the power of Almighty God bringing the best of Himself alive in us through our willessess. I highly encourage you to join all of us, whose 1st step up everymorning is down, bowing before God in reverent-awe * submissive-surrender *
My 1st step up-out every day is down! That is my 1st spiritual exercise every day. I step out of bed each morning to fall down to the ground to my knees - bowed! I bow before God in Reverent AWE of Him, in submissive-surrender and in willess-humility. I don't get up until my will can stay down and I can rise with the love, strength and power of My Way-Maker. Starting my day willess, has really helped me and moment by moment, choice by choice I hope huge to be found in Followship of the way God has chosen for me. I struggled with my weight for a lot of years; my self image was pretty tarnished until I made a life-style change that came out of Isaiah 50. I do not kindle my own fire (life passion); I do not walk by the light of a man-made fire that will burn out. I can't do life, I must "be found in" LIFE! Without the Holy Spirit as my constant-consistent, my choices reflect my willful human condition. I know the things to do to stay healthy, I know what my body, soul, spirit and emotions need, but I won't make the right choice on my own… I simply-significantly need Jesus! I understand about those dams breaking inside of you, Lori, I had one break recently when something did not go my way and I could not understand why? God broke my will and I have to say… it hurt so bad, yet it felt sooooo good afterwards. There is nothing like being willess and walking in the strength of God's Sovereign Will and I know it is because His Sovereign Will goes hand in hand with His Infinite Love, the two are always together. So, I like to say this: Cling harder to God's Sovereign Will and Dig your roots deeper in His Infinite Love! So off I go to exercise… (I don't like it… but I need it) Thanks for your encouragement! He's has called us to stand strong in His confidence, knowing that He is in control! He's called us to live lives full of power, love and a sound mind!
Dr. E. Stanley Jones said "I am inwardly fashioned for faith, not for fear. Fear is not my native land; faith is. I am so made that worry and anxiety are sand in the machinery of life; faith is the oil. I live better by faith and confidence than by fear, doubt and anxiety. In anxiety and worry, my being is gasping for breath--these are not my native air. But in faith and confidence, I breathe freely--these are my native air."

Love Is Not Proud
it is not proud… 1 Corinthians 13:4
Love is not proud. Indeed, there is no room for pride in a heart of love. Pride is an anchor to love that restrains its rich offering. It prolongs the inability to love by short-circuiting the effect of agape love. Pride is a precursor to loveless living; it struggles with love because it requires a focus off itself and onto others. Pride is deceptive, as it always negotiates for its own benefit.
There is a driving force behind pride that is unhealthy and unnecessary. Moreover, it is indiscriminate in its seduction of either gender. Men may be the most susceptible to pride's illusion, but women can be deceived just as well. Eve fell into this trap in her encounter with the devil (1 Timothy 2:14).
Pride's feeling of superiority slices into the soul like a surgeon's scalpel. It inserts its influence deep and wide. You can be controlled and wired by pride and not even know it. Love longs to have the same status as power-hungry pride. Love seeks to defuse pride's time bomb of terror and intimidation. Love outlasts pride if applied humbly and heavily. Love drives pride from a controlling heart and frees it to become trusting.
Instead of demanding its own way, love seeks to make those around it successful. Love listens; pride talks. Love forgives; pride resents. Love gives; pride takes. Love apologizes; pride blames. Love understands; pride assumes. Love accepts; pride rejects. Love trusts; pride doubts. Love asks; pride tells.
Love leads; pride drives. Love frees up; pride binds up. Love builds up; pride tears down. Love encourages; pride discourages. Love confronts; pride is passive-aggressive. Love is peaceful; pride is fearful. Love clarifies with truth; pride confuses with lies. Love and pride are mutually exclusive. Love dies with pride but comes alive with humility.
Most important, humility is a hotbed of love. It has the opposite effect on love than does pride. Humility invites love to take up permanent residence in the human heart. Love covers a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8), and humility understands that love is reserved for everyone. Love forgives even the worst of sinners, as pride struggles in a life of bitterness and resentment, thinking somehow it is paying back the offender.
This state of unresolved anger only eats up the one unable to love and forgive. Furthermore, humility positions you to love and be loved. Humility knows it needs help in the arena of receiving agape love. Your humble heart yearns for love from your Lord Jesus Christ. Once you receive the love of your heavenly Father, you can't help but dispense it to others hungry for a hug.
As you receive love, you are capable of giving love. Therefore, let the Lord love on you and allow others to love you, so you can, in turn, love. Proud hearts melt under the influence of intense and unconditional love. The calling of Christians is perpetual love; so be guilty of love. Your love is healing and inviting. Pride exits when humility enters, and then you are in a position to love.

Behold, they all will wax old and be worn out as a garment; the moth will eat them up. 10 Who is among you who [reverently] fears the Lord, who obeys the voice of His Servant, yet who walks in darkness and deep trouble and has no shining splendor [in his heart]? Let him rely on, trust in, and be confident in the name of the Lord, and let him lean upon and be supported by his God.11 Behold, all you [enemies of your own selves] who attempt to kindle your own fires [and work out your own plans of salvation], who surround and gird yourselves with momentary sparks, darts, and firebrands that you set aflame!--walk by the light of your self-made fire and of the sparks that you have kindled [for yourself, if you will]! But this shall you have from My hand: you shall lie down in grief and in torment.
