Developing My AWE-GOD With An Attitude Of Gratitude!
I am so grateful Lord Jesus, that everything YOU allow in my life is perfect and in the right timing for me, causing me to grow more in Love with YOU and Your Kingdom, to be more like YOU. This season of my life, this is the perfect place for me, not one I would have ever chosen. But if fits within Your purposes for me right now, I can see that Lord Jesus. I have to learn to be more thankful for the purposes of God in play in my life, than I am for the fleeting things of this world. Flip-Flop the focus of my gratefulness to things that really matter. You always allow ALL things, even the hard things in my life for a great purpose and today I am so grateful that YOU value me enough to work out my salvation in me for Kingdom good. AWE-GOD

The only good thing I can do for you today is point you to Jesus Christ. I am struggling with my human condition as much as you are, getting to know #AWE-GOD, fleshing out this world and learning to respond to all things Godly. But I can encourage you to know Him more today than you did yesterday. I can't give you a solution to all life's situations because I don't know them, but I KNOW the solution, Jesus Christ. Love Jesus, Love Him More And Most Today. He Is Our Way-Maker, Our Possibility, Our Hope, Our Peace…. MORE of you Jesus, less of me, MORE of YOUR Kingdom in me, less of this world in me! I can pray for you, so let me know how I can do that, I can encourage you with God's promise! Have a great day my friends!

Support Your Husband
"The LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him." Genesis 2:18
Husbands have a God given support system in their sweet spouse. Heaven has provided just the right wife for a husband to receive help. This divine strategy is a blessing, because left to himself, a husband is incomplete—he maintains at best. The Lord's plan gives a wife the opportunity to make her man feel confident and in control. Most of all her love for Jesus is the fuel that fuels her faith in her husband. She is his best helper.
What if your husband is ungrateful and hard to please? Your model of unselfish support is a testimony to your trust in God. If your husband takes you for granted, pray the Holy Sprit will convict him of his need for appreciation. A supportive attitude attracts your husband to your heart. Trust the Lord will grow him in grace and gratitude. A woman of prayer wisely waits on God to work, without rushing ahead with sincere solutions.
"I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened..." Ephesians 1:18a
Support him when he is mad and your patient smile will make him glad. Support him when he is sick and your compassionate heart will bring quicker healing. Support him when he is successful and your unselfish celebration will cause mutual joy. Support him in his work and your loyalty to his labor will grow his feelings of significance. Above all, support him as your spiritual leader, as your validation gives him courage to continue.
As a husband you may seem self-sufficient, but you are really not a lone ranger. You are one flesh with your bride and you need her help. So, acknowledge your dependence on God and your need for your wife's support. Invite her into your hopes and fears. Be vulnerable with your emotions that are hard to express and receive her comfort and counsel. It's bad to be alone at home with your wife, but it is very, very good to have her selfless support.
"He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the LORD." Proverbs 18:22
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thanks for loving me so that I can love and support my husband.

God has gifted me with a husband who has loved me completely, who knows me like no other and loves me unconditionally. I am so grateful for our friendship and I treasure it. God shaped me for him and him for me and together we make a great marriage that honors God in all things. I am grateful I listened to God and waited for the right one. My husband is the one God created to love me the best here on earth and He has lived up to it in all of our good times and bad times, he has loved me unconditionally!

But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.
Matthew 17:1-2
AND SIX days after this, Jesus took with Him Peter and James and John his brother, and led them up on a high mountain by themselves.2 And His appearance underwent a change in their presence; and His face shone clear and bright like the sun, and His clothing became as white as light.

When you are in a season of life where God has not answered you yes or no but "wait", then know His true purpose is to teach you the value of seeing what is in the distance and knowing "one step" every day is enough for you. Why? Because God has gone before you, The Way-Maker. He wants you to learn to wait and know that as you wait, He is making the crooked way straight for you. Our human condition is so impulsive and we want what we can see and we push forward without God to make a way to grab it! Even if what you want something you can see is in the distance, if God is giving you only the directions for one small step a day, this has to be enough! Why? Because God has His Kingdom Purposes in play, step by step as He purposefully is working out His best in the ALL of the situation. Resist your impulsive nature by remembering "God's Got This" and He wants time to work out His purposes thoroughly. Impulsive One… Will you give God time to work this out in His perfect timing? Be ALL-In With God's Timing And Purposes And Wait With HUGE HOPE, knowing His purposes are in play and one day you will look back in heavenly hindsight and be so grateful you waited to walk in HIS Light, HIS Way and did not kindle your own fire and walk by the light of a man made fire that flamed out and left you tormented in the dark.

Give Him Your Ashes By Joyce Meyer
When we let God take our messes and turn them into miracles, the Father has the ability to use our mistakes for our good if we will only trust Him.
Isaiah 61:3 says He will give us "beauty instead of ashes," but I find that many people want to hold on to their ashes, the cinders of the past, as reminders of their shortcomings and failures. I encourage you to let go of your ashes and reach for something new.
Too many people live in the past, feeling like they'll never have another chance. Do you need a second chance? Ask God for a second chance or a third, fourth or fifth, whatever you need. God is full of mercy and long-suffering. His loving-kindness never fails or comes to an end. The Bible says that He has removed your transgressions from you, so you don't have to hang on to them anymore.
Jesus came to lift burdens, but you must be willing to let them go and believe He is greater than your mistakes. Give Him your ashes today.
Prayer Starter: God, I know it doesn't do me any good to hang on to the past when You lovingly stand before me with a fresh chance, so I let go of my ashes. I give them to You, excited to see the beauty that You will bring from them.
A Seasoned Servant Of God Has Encouraged Me Today

Hebrews 10:18-25
18And where these have been forgiven, there is no longer any sacrifice for sin. 19Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, 20by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, 21and since we have a great priest over the house of God, 22let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. 23Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. 24And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. 25Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching."
Dear Bob and Kim,
Aren't you absolutely amazed at all the opportunities to do "stuff" these days? We have so many things to do, we don't know what to do.
Some time ago I went through this season of believing that if I stayed busy with His work seven days a week, I would build a stronger faith. I figured that my "Christian" lifestyle would help me to resist the many temptations to be spiritually lazy. I could then experience more opportunities for Kingdom service. I still hold to that truth, but I have learned a couple of things from a dear pastor/friend of mine that I would like to share with you this morning:
1. My relationship with God must come before my family. My relationship with God determines what kind of husband and father I am. I cannot be a godly father apart from Jesus Christ. My wife, children, and grandchildren cannot see Jesus in me if I don't work at that relationship first in my life.
2. My relationship with God must always come before my ministry. I have to be careful not to allow my pastoral position to become my god. Sometimes the demands of ministry are overwhelming. It is absolutely impossible to meet all the ministry needs that are before me on a daily basis. I must know and do the will of God first and then the proper priorities will be observed in the ministry to which God has called me.
My prayer today is that we all look at our lives and ask the question, "Do I have my priorities in line with God's plan for the day?" Pray with me, "Lord, please reveal to me today Your will for my life that I may die to my self-will and yield to Yours. Help me to manage my time for Your glory. In Jesus' name, Amen.

That is so true! It takes a while for us "hard headed" people to realize we can't "fix it"… only God can. We are not called to a ministry, we are called to God 1st! We are not called to people, we are called to God. God is the healer, we can't heal, we can't encourage and sometimes life throws us things that are so horrific, we can't even say anything that matters. Only God can heal and repair our shattered hearts, and we do the best serving of God when we point people to HIM, we tell people about HIM and show them the Way to Him… and hope huge that the hurt and the healer will collide… because that is where healing begins!

My brother in law took his life this past week. After losing his job and having a fight with my sister, he arrogantly took a handful of pills in front of his thirteen year old son and said, I want to die, and I am going to go into the forest and die alone. His son was so mortified, he woke up his mom… my sister… and they tried to tackle him, but he got away and ran off into the forest and for four soul wrenching days we waited, hoping huge the police and dogs, helicopters and volunteers would find him alive. They found him in a drainage ditch, dead. So how do you pick up the pieces of this shattered family…. Impossible… ONLY GOD CAN!

"When words are many, sin is not absent, but he who holds his tongue is wise" (Proverbs 10:19).
Tempered talk is evidence of wise conversation. When our words are many we run the risk of soliciting sin. Increased words increase the probability of improper speech. For example, respectful conversation does not repeat the same words and phrases in a confined period of time. This impatient cadence frustrates.
Perhaps a look of misunderstanding requires questioning for clarification or definitions for comprehension. Proud conversationalists can hijack a listener's understanding with a hoard of words with no meaning. If your goal is to communicate, then take the time to listen to the needs of your audience. People who feel cared for and understood have a keener sense of hearing and understanding.
"Even a fool is thought wise if he keeps silent, and discerning if he holds his tongue" (Proverbs 17:28).
Wise people weigh their words before they speak. They allow their minds to catch up with their hearts. Furthermore, in the face of wrong behavior, emotions sometimes need to express themselves. Let the other person know if you feel mistreated or misinformed. Concealed anger leads to living a lie (see Proverbs 10:18), but tempered talk is truthful and to the point.
Lastly, you reserve your words out of respect for the other person. If you do all the talking, you are the center of attention. Conversation becomes condescending when the other individual does not feel important enough to speak up. So, honor others by speaking less, listening more intently to how you can love them. Wisdom can be found in the words of each person you meet. Therefore, intentionally talk less and be wise.
"My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry" (James 1:19).
Prayer: Dear Jesus, whom do I need to listen to more while speaking less?

Been there and made that mistake, letting my mind get ahead of my heart. When I feel angry with someone and the words start flying between us, it is best to walk away and I did that recently, was on the phone with someone, very frustrated with what they were saying and how they were saying it and we got in an argument and I hung up. It was the fastest way I could think of to get out of a bad conversation stream that was getting worse and worse and more heated than I thought necessary for the conversation at hand. Sometimes people's anger has more to do with the past than the conversation at hand. Learning that one!

Lead, Kindly Light, amid the encircling gloom
Lead thou me on!
Keep thou, my feet; I do not ask to see
The distant scene – one step enough for me.
I was not ever thus, nor pray'd that thou
Shouldst lead me on.
I loved to choose and see my path, but now
Lead me on!
I loved the garish day, and, spit of fears,
Pride ruled my will: remember not past years.
So long thy power hath blest me, sure it
Will lead me on,
O'er moor and fen, o'er crag and torrent, till
The night is gone;
And with the morn those angel faces smile
Which I have loved long since, and lost awhile.

Philippians 2:14-22
Do all things without grumbling and faultfinding and complaining [against God] and questioning and doubting [among yourselves],15 That you may show yourselves to be blameless and guileless, innocent and uncontaminated, children of God without blemish (faultless, unrebukable) in the midst of a crooked and wicked generation [spiritually perverted and perverse], among whom you are seen as bright lights (stars or beacons shining out clearly) in the [dark] world,16 Holding out [to it] and offering [to all men] the Word of Life, so that in the day of Christ I may have something of which exultantly to rejoice and glory in that I did not run my race in vain or spend my labor to no purpose.17 Even if [my lifeblood] must be poured out as a libation on the sacrificial offering of your faith [to God], still I am glad [to do it] and congratulate you all on [your share in] it.18 And you also in like manner be glad and congratulate me on [my share in] it. 19 But I hope and trust in the Lord Jesus soon to send Timothy to you, so that I may also be encouraged and cheered by learning news of you.20 For I have no one like him [no one of so kindred a spirit] who will be so genuinely interested in your welfare and devoted to your interests.21 For the others all seek [to advance] their own interests, not those of Jesus Christ (the Messiah).22 But Timothy's tested worth you know, how as a son with his father he has toiled with me zealously in [serving and helping to advance] the good news (the Gospel).

D.L. Moody once said: "God has called us to shine, just as much as Daniel was sent into Babylon to shine. Let no one say that he cannot shine because he has not so much influence as some others may have. What God wants you to do is to use the influence you have. Daniel probably did not have much influence down in Babylon at first, but God soon gave him more because he was faithful and used what he had."

Trust Him Through the Process By Joyce Meyer
We often think of trusting God for things we need or want, but a true relationship of trust in God extends beyond trusting Him just to get something. We need to learn to trust Him through the process of attaining those things we desire.
There was a time in my life when I focused intensely on trusting God for things, saying, 'I want this, God,' and 'I need such-and-such, God.' He began to show me that getting all those things was not the most important issue in my life.
He wanted to teach me how to trust Him enough to walk through situations with stability and with a good attitude on a consistent basis. He needed me to learn that He may not always rescue us when we want to get out of circumstances, but He is always with us as we walk through them.
God does not always deliver us from everything when we think He should, but He is always with us. Today, instead of focusing on just the end result, realize that God is with you now. He is near to you, so trust Him to walk with you through the process.
Prayer Starter: God, I am so glad that You are with me now. I don't just trust You to give me things, but I trust You through the process of life.
