AWE- ALMIGHTY GOD!

Make My Life A Constant Conversation With You!

********************************************************************************

I, Kimberly Ann McCarthy, will build my life today on the cornerstone of Who Christ is and walk out of the position of what is so very right with God and not my weak human condition, my human nature or my will. Willessness is a perfect way for me today! Be the Lord of my all and everything today. I pray to know the leading of Your Holy Spirit today, Lord Jesus! Forgive-change my impulsive nature, replace it with respectful-honoring-humble-submissive-willessness!

Happy Saint Patricks Day!

In honor of Patrick of Ireland, who with a band of everyday believers, saw Ireland turn from a pagan country to a Christian nation by living the principles of living Christ amongst the people, I thought this quote was a worthy one for the day we celebrate St Patrick's day.

QUOTES THAT ENCOURAGE-INSPIRE GROWTH-CHANGE ME

Every Christian, whether man or woman, boy or girl, rich or poor, workman or peasant, writer or priest, judge or official, doctor or lawyer, teacher or pupil, Government official or missionary, is only a Christian on condition that he witnesses for his Lord....all Christians, wherever they are, have the opportunity of witnessing for their Master. They can do this by their upright life, their blameless character, by the integrity of their behaviour and their sincerity in speech, by their enthusiasm for their religion and their love for their Master, using every possible opportunity of telling others about Jesus Christ.

Pain accompanies change. One way or another it's going to hurt to make adjustments in our lives. That's the bad news. The good news is that we can choose the pain we endure. We have two options: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret. Dr. John Maxwell

God always gives His best to those who leave the choice with Him.

-- Jim Elliot

We are to "take up our cross and follow Him" (Matthew 16:24). We are to serve as Jesus served, unselfishly. We are to give as Jesus gave, sacrificially. We are to love as Jesus loved, unconditionally. We are to forgive as Jesus forgave, abundantly. We are to be holy as He is holy. These are our marching orders. Boyd Bailey

Verse Of The Day@biblegateway.com

"A psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name's sake." - Psalm 23:1-3

Notes from listening to Psalm 23:

The Lord is my shepherd…. I shall not be in want. … He is my Waymaker to quiet waters… I will never fear evil, because You God are with me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies… You anoint my head with oil… Goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life… and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. AWE-GOD!

My Thoughts About This:

Many times lately I have felt overwhelmed by the tragedies in this world, by the way this world is headed, it seems on their own, without You. It saddens me so, Lord Jesus. Yet I know, You still my soul, my precious Shepherd! You are with Me. You anoint my mind, my thoughts by the power of Your Holy Spirit. I can count on Your goodness, to be my rear guard, Your love to go before me as the Waymaker to Your peace. Jesus, I have been promised such an amazing future, all because of You. Thank you Lord.

Notes From: Joyce Meyer TV Show

Joyce Meyer TV Program Five ways to win over temptation Part 1

  • Temptation is a fact of life. It is not if your are tempted but when your are tempted. Demonically induced, divinely permitted, human messes, whatever they come for the trial is a fact of life. In these trials we are tempted to do the wrong thing. We lean to our crutches when things become difficult.
  • Many temptations for the Christians, we don't want to be bitter, jealous, self centered, self pity, disobey God, not care about other people.
  • The greatest temptation we will ever have will be to be selfish and self-centered. Pray that we wont come into temptation Luke 22:40, 46 If this is possible take the cup from me, but nevertheless not my will. Wake up and pray that you come not into temptation. We don't pray ahead of time enough about the areas in our lives that are weaknesses.
  • How well do you know yourself. What are your top five weaknesses? Impatience, Impulsive, Self Dependent, Doubt, Fixer-controller-planner, quick temper… the devil will set us up, bait us and arrange circumstances that will push your weakness buttons. God does not remove the weaknesses, He wants us to get so fed up with them that we decided to change by His power. He wants us to desire to be stable in Him.
  • We spend time wrongly trying to rescue people who do not want to be rescued.
  • 5 Ways to overcome temptation
  • Prov 5:22
  • Be Wise, Don't be foolish… Wisdom is doing now what you will be satisfied later on.
  • Learn from our bad choices with lack of wisdom so we don't have to go around that same mountain again.
  • I can overcome my weaknesses, if I think about the result of doing what I feel like, instead of being led by God.
  • We can win over temptation by being wise. Wisdom is common sense, think about what you are doing. If you spend more than you take you will have financial problems
  • Prov 5:1-2 Godly wisdom learned by experience. Why do you do the same thing over and over thinking you will get the a different result… lack of wisdom
  • Temptation is going to come and when it comes, be ready for a wise answer. Temptation=wise answer=no!!
  • When the devil fills your mind with a bunch of junk say "shut up= NO!"
  • Do now what you will be happy with later.
  • What will be the result if you cave into your temptation one more time. Deal with it now, or you will deal with it later… but you will deal with it.
  • You either make yourself accountable, or you will be made accountable by your circumstances.
  • You either take care of yourself now, or you will pay later
  • We don't need wishbone, we need the courage to do what we need to do
  • Wisdom leads to promotion, honor, peace… If you go ahead and do what you feel, even though it is not wise, you will be miserable
  • Wisdom brings a harvest of righteousness in your life
  • Caving into the temptation is always followed by guilt and it drains your power.
  • 2. Believe that we can resist temptation.
  • A lot of times people look at problems in their life and they say: I hope that doesn't happen because I will fall apart. I can't resist eating bad things. Stop saying that you can't! Start believing that you can resist temptation 1 Cor 10:13…. NO temptation- Beyond human resistance. I can bear this, I can endure this, I can be consistent, I can be steadfast because the greatest God lives in me
  • 3. Be prepared! Spend time with God, if you want to walk through this world and not get chewed up. You need to know God, not about Him, but know Him personally for Yourself.
  • What is the stuff the devil uses to steal my joy, to steal my peace…
  • You don't change by what you hear, you change by what you apply to your life.
  • Matthew 25:1-13 They were prepared, they did extra to make sure they were prepared.
  • You do it for me, give me some of your oil…
  • Avoid the very scenes of temptation…

Wisdom… Believe….Be Prepared…

4. Avoid the very scenes of temptation

It is important who you listen to, who you hang with, what you watch,

Be careful who and what we spend time with….

1.Walk in Wisdom: Do now what you will be satisfied later on

2.Believe you can resist

3. Be prepare. Spend time with God, get to know Him

4. Avoid the scenes of temptation

5. Don't trust in yourself too much, lean on God

Worthy News Brief @worthyemail.com

2 Corinthians 3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

The noted English architect Sir Christopher Wren was supervising the construction of a magnificent cathedral in London. A journalist thought it would be interesting to interview some of the workers, so he chose three and asked them this question, "What are you doing?" The first replied, "I'm cutting stone for a shabby 10 shillings a day." The next answered, "I'm putting in 13 hard hours a day on this job." But the last said, "I'm helping Sir Christopher Wren construct one of London's greatest cathedrals."

Whether you realize it or not, we too are building something. We who believe are building up God's Kingdom, the richest and greatest Kingdom this world will ever see! Let's examine ourselves and see if we need to make some changes in our perspective. We have the privilege of partaking in something amazing -- and better yet, doing it for the King of Kings! Kimberly, let's give our will and our life back to the Lord today and focus on doing great things for the Kingdom!

My Thoughts About This:

It is so true what he was saying, we are the mirror people look in to see what Kingdom people are like, we reflect the Kingdom of God! It is our will that gets in the way, that changes our focus from a Kingdom vision to a self-centered selfishness!

Romans 11 ~ The Amplified Bible

33Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unfathomable (inscrutable, unsearchable) are His judgments (His decisions)! And how untraceable (mysterious, undiscoverable) are His ways (His methods, His paths)! 34For who has known the mind of the Lord and who has understood His thoughts, or who has [ever] been His counselor?

My Thoughts About This:

Sometimes when you have been a Christian for a long time, you can get "heady" thinking you know so much, you have experience so much… we have to guard our hearts from that, I know I do, I have to realize that God does things new, He is very creative and I don't even know a little of the depth of His wisdom. AWE-GOD! I am learning to be willing to learn from God instead of lean on my own knowledge gained from experience.

A Minute With Maxwell

Consistency! The bookends of success: Front initiate- ability to start and backend is the ablity to close it- finish… inbetween- consistency is essential…. We are not dependable when we lack consistency… leaders always have to be there and be dependable, that solid rock where people can stand. You con't have to be brilliant or creative to be consistent, you have to be disciplined. Leaders are always aware that everyday people depend upon them, therefore consistency is essential to a leaders life.

My Thoughts About This:

AWE-some! I like that you linked discipline with consistency. Consistency is easier for me when I am willess, when I lay down my will each day before God, I find I am more disciplined and consistent in Followship of Him!

Worthy News Brief @worthyemail.com

Jeremiah 17:5 Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.

Hmm. I cannot begin to tell you how many times I have tried to do something on my own strength. I exhaust myself trying before becomes clear that I just can't do it with out my Great Foreman. Thankfully, He hasn't fired me yet! It may sound radical to say but when we rely on our own strength, really, it is a form of idol worship. We exalt our own strength above the Lord's. This is unacceptable to a Holy and All-Powerful God. Even our greatest efforts cannot compare with how much more effectively a job can get done if we would only call upon His Name! Kimberly, we are weaklings in need of a great God. We cannot do anything without Him. Let's begin putting our trust fully in the Lord today and see great things get accomplished!

My Thoughts About This:

This is a definite truth! I am growing through this right now, learning how to depend on God for everything- to include Him in the all of my life, having a constant-consistent relationship with Him. I want my heart to be undivided, but I know that can only happen if my life is not compartmentalized- Jesus must be my all and everything!

Divisions Downfall

"Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, 'Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand." Matthew 12:25

Division weakens, cripples and eventually causes a downfall. It is internal erosion that cannot stand up to conflicting turmoil from within. The greatest threat to a nation, an organization, a home or an individual comes from the inside out. For example, an implosion of unbelief can bring down a religious person. He or she wants God, but the intellectual conflict cannot be resolved, and outside of faith in Christ it will not be. The same can be said for a church. The church can become its own worst enemy. If there is a watering down of the basic tenets of the Christian faith, then there is nothing substantial left to believe. If Christ's deity, miracles and resurrection are in question, then the church is set up for division and ultimately a slow, but sure death. Moreover, a business is no less susceptible to internal strive and feuding factions. A company that sells its soul to the almighty dollar will do what ever it takes to bolster the bottom line. Conflicting values begin to divide. What started out as a business built on integrity devolves into one of worldly avarice. Short-term compromise may prop up earnings, but long-term effectiveness will be like a sheep led to the slaughter.

A culture without consistent character is like a ship without a sail. Whoever is the most persuasive, persistent and the loudest gets their way. This is a prescription for disaster. Indeed a nation, organization or individual that fights itself will lose. Yes, there are certainly disagreements, but when all is said and done there must be unity of purpose. It's like two siblings who tussle against one another—but then unite to defeat the bully. Avoid a civil war from within, and then fight the devil and his minions that are without. Principles and values based on God's truth will stand—and whoever embraces them and lives for them will stand together. Our goal as followers of Jesus Christ is to unite around faith in Him. He is our reason for living and dying. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life (John 14:16). Let's unite forces around Him and His word. Do not be distracted or divided by peripheral preferences. The color of the church carpet, the number of pipes in the organ and church politics are not Christ's calling. It is the battle for the souls of men and women that unite us. It is the proclamation of the Word of God in teaching and living that compel us to follow the example of Jesus and the great saints of the ages. The rallying cry for serious followers of Christ is, "seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness" (Matthew 6:33). Our motto echoes Christ's command to "love God and to love people" (Matthew 22:39). We can unify around this call to Christ's likeness. Do not kick a brother who is down or shoot the wounded. Let's slow down care for our downed comrades and unify around Jesus—He draws all people to Himself!

"And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself" (John 12:32).

Does my church exalt Christ in worship and Bible teaching? Do I lift up the Lord with my life, work and family?

By Grace Alone!

I am so far from perfect, yet You stood in my place- this is the beauty of Grace

In the light of the cross I am free!

All the times I walked away from You, You could have turned your back on me. But You were always waiting for me to come home, You amaze me, overwhelm me with Your Love

By Your Grace alone, I am made worthy- in the light of Your cross I am free
