If there is not at least a yearning in our hearts to live a holy life pleasing to God, we need to seriously question whether our faith in Christ is genuine.

Enthusiasm

Charisma is enthusiasm for people and life! It is who you are, what you love and what you believe in and this enthusiasm is contagious. What a gift you will be if you have an enthusiasm for life and for others, it is a gift that is contagious to all!

My Thoughts About This:

Your Dad spoke at one of the leadership meetings at Christ Fellowship a few years back on the zeal of the Lord! Oh My Gosh it was sooooo good! Enthusiastic he was and it was catchy! AWE-GOD! How sweet!

A Seasoned Servant Of God Has Encouraged Me Today

Psalm 40:8 "I delight to do Your will, my God; Your instruction lives within me."

Have you found yet that the presence of the Holy Spirit is calming? In some of the most stressful situations, like moral failure, bankruptcy, foreclosure, divorce or finding out you have cancer, the Holy Spirit can calm you; and even give you calming words to communicate to others. "His instruction lives" within you and me. We must be still and not just respond out of the flesh with what is going on around us. When you have that beautiful, personal relationship with God, the very nature of the "new man", "new creature" He created in you is SENSITIVE to the Spirit and how God is working around you.

1. Practice His presence with you today.

2. Set your priorities according to God's will and purpose

3. Be sensitive to the Holy Spirit. This allows you to be instant in and out of season.

4. Do not let flesh control your mood or the situation. Don't join the pity party- complaining game.

5. Do the right thing especially when it is not convenient or "politically correct".

My Thoughts About This:

Awesome! God is truly teaching me this lately! Absolutely…Yes, the Holy Spirit can calm me down as soon as I let be of the situation, be still and Know He is in Control! What I have learned to tap into is God's Incredible Ability To Be A Multi-Tasker. If you think about it He is the most incredible multi-tasker in a HUGE WAY that we will ever know. He does it every moment and does it with complete Kingdom purpose. It is too cool when you think of it…. I pray that the Holy Spirit teaches me how to be a multi-tasker that completes the purposes of the Kingdom!! Have a great weekend! We are finally warm here… and I am totally enjoying the breaking in of a new season!! God Bless You Much!

Hebrews 4:15-16 For we do not have a High Priest Who is unable to understand and sympathize and have a shared feeling with our weaknesses and infirmities and liability to the assaults of temptation, but One Who has been tempted in every respect as we are, yet without sinning.16 Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God's unmerited favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it].

As we lay aside prayerless resentment and self-pity and open our hearts to God, we will know His help!

As we grow through what feels like intolerable heat, we must ask God if He will help us endure until we have grown through the season. Kimberlymac

Hebrews 4:14-16 Now that we know what we have-Jesus, this great High Priest with ready access to God-let's not let it slip through our fingers.15 We don't have a priest who is out of touch with our reality. He's been through weakness and testing, experienced it all-all but the sin.16 So let's walk right up to him and get what he is so ready to give. Take the mercy, accept the help.

My Thoughts About These Verses:

I love how the message bible just puts it out there! So cool! Father God, You have been telling me over and over again, in so many ways how I need to change this area of my life. I need to go to You 1st, not to my natural giftedness, but to You 1st. I need to stop compartmentalizing Your Holy Spirit in my life, letting Him work only in the areas of my weaknesses. He needs to be Present in the all of my everything and I need to learn to lean on You 1st! AWE-GOD! That will give me a consistent, steady walk with God and that is what my heart desires! God knows what I am growing through, it is not a secret to Him. He wants to help me, from moment to moment and choice to choice! He wants to help me! Thank You Jesus, that You are so willing to be with me at all times, in the good and in the bad. Help me to always be in Your Presence, walking in the all of You. Holy Spirit keep giving me Omnipresent Reality Checks, so I know I am walking with You, in complete Followship!

Verse Of The Day@biblegateway.com

Romans 15:13 "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."

My Thoughts About These Verses:

Wow, that is a perfect verse to pray! I love it! It is also a great verse for Summer as she waits on God. Lord I pray that You would do this in her heart! Fill her with hope, fill her with the expectant joy of Your Will and help her to trust You with the timing of getting pregnant again! AWE-GOD!

Notes From Listening to Romans 15:

We who are strong should bear with the weak…. Everything written to teach us so that through endurance and the encouragement of the scriptures we have hope…God will give us unity among ourselves so that with one heart and mouth we will glorify God… accept others and bring glory to God. Sing praises to God all you people… Isaiah says: The root of Jesse will spring up to rule over all the nations and the Gentiles will accept him. We are full of goodness, complete in knowledge and competent to instruct. God gives us Grace to minister to others… Speak only of what Christ accomplishes through you. Fully proclaim the gospel of Christ… it is a mission to speak the gospel to those who have not heard… Share your spiritual and material blessings with one another. The full measure of the blessings of Christ be with you.

Excerpts From: Elmer L. Towns "365 Ways To Know God"

Page 137 JESUS THE FOUNTAIN OF LIFE

Excerpts From Book:

When you need water to keep from fainting, Jesus is your Fountain of Life who will give you a new presence of mind and a new focus.

Do you need to cool down your anger, frustration or bitterness? Jesus is your Fountain of Life!

  • You need water to refresh your work
  • You need water in the middle of the night to quench your thirst
  • You need water to help you think better
  • You need water to help you play better
  • You need water to help you talk better
  • You need water to help you perform better

For whatever you need, pause to drink of Jesus. Just as water energizes the body, so the renewed presence of Jesus revitalizes your life.

John 4:14 Anyone who drinks the water I give will never thirst-not ever. The water I give will be an artesian spring within, gushing fountains of endless life."

Remember, Jesus, the Fountain of Life, called Himself "a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life"

Key Thought: Jesus is a Fountain of water to refresh your life!

Psalm 36:1-12 A David Psalm

1 The God-rebel tunes in to sedition-all ears, eager to sin. He has no regard for God, he stands insolent before him.2 He has smooth-talked himself into believing that his evil will never be noticed.3 Words gutter from his mouth, dishwater dirty. Can't remember when he did anything decent.4 Every time he goes to bed, he fathers another evil plot. When he's loose on the streets, nobody's safe. He plays with fire and doesn't care who gets burned. 5 God's love is meteoric, his loyalty astronomic,6 His purpose titanic, his verdicts oceanic. Yet in his largeness nothing gets lost; Not a man, not a mouse, slips through the cracks. 7 How exquisite your love, O God! How eager we are to run under your wings,8 To eat our fill at the banquet you spread as you fill our tankards with Eden spring water.9 You're a fountain of cascading light, and you open our eyes to light. 10 Keep on loving your friends; do your work in welcoming hearts.11 Don't let the bullies kick me around, the moral midgets slap me down.12 Send the upstarts sprawling flat on their faces in the mud.

My Thoughts About This:

God is just so HUGE… we just don't get it! We let our human minds tell us what He is like, instead of getting to know Him Spirit to Spirit! He is in total control, yet we rationalize that He is not. I know His love is strong and forbearing, because He puts up with me, He keeps growing me up, He never has given up on me!

Worthy News Brief @worthyemail.com

Kimberly, time to step up!

Esther 4:14 For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?

This weekend begins the feast of Purim, which celebrates the deliverance of the Jewish people from one of many of Satan's attempts to purge them from the world. Mordechai gave Esther a great challenge then, "and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?"

This is a challenge for all of us! As each generation is raised up, God appoints men and women to rise up to the challenge of that age. We are alive in this day and in this hour (an amazing day and hour, at that) and God is saying, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?" He is awaiting those who will come forward and say "Hineni" here am I, in Hebrew! And if we fall short of this challenge, "deliverance may arise from another place!"

My Thoughts About These Verses:

I really do sense this for my life… it truly is time to step up!! I need to be more disciplined and more focused on what God wants me to accomplish. Holy Spirit help me I pray. Help me to step up!

Double Minded

"But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do." James 1:6-8

Double mindedness comes from doubt. Doubt about being in the right career. Doubt related to investing in the right relationships. Doubt in the Almighty's ability to handle the circumstances or the people. Chronic doubt is a detriment to faith and hope, because it causes instability and insecurity. Has doubt and double mindedness frozen your faith? Do you feel torn between two people? Has your divided loyalties at work created conflict and confusion? Does your lack of conviction cause you to react like a whipsaw to the latest advice? Like a ship without a rudder or sail, you are tossed back and forth by the winds of change and conflict. Without confidence from Christ there is confusion.

"I am confident in the Lord that you will take no other view. The one who is throwing you into confusion, whoever that may be, will have to pay the penalty" (Galatians 5:10).

Wavering faith is made stable by reassurance from the Lord's faithfulness. There is nothing distrustful about wisdom from above. You can count on Christ to lead you through the valley of uncertainty, along the upward path of prayer to the mountaintop of trust. Challenges allow you to grow in grace—and live out the advice you give to others. So, determine by God's grace to be single-minded and not double-minded. Your single-minded devotion to Jesus is simple, but powerful. Like the tip of a razor sharp spear it cuts through the noise of competing voices and allows you to hear from heaven. This humble posture of believing prayer unlocks the Lord's wisdom and discernment.

Whatever Jesus says to be—be, and whatever Jesus says to do—do. Do not complicate your conversation with Christ with contingency plans. Rather, simply trust and obey the truth. Do what He says to do today and trust Him with tomorrow. The Lord will handle the little details and the big outcomes—your part is to remain faithful. Wisdom is what He wants you to follow by faith. Single-mindedness is stable and secure in all its ways.

"Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble. Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing" (1 Peter 3:8-9).

How can I grow in single-minded faith in the Lord? Who needs my focused attention? Related Readings: Isaiah 41:29; 50:7; Matthew 6:22-23; 1 Peter 1:13
