AWE- ALMIGHTY GOD!

Make My Life A Constant Conversation With You!

********************************************************************************

Today, It is my, Kimberly Ann McCarthy, passion that He, Jesus Christ must increase in me by having His Way in Me and I must decrease by yielding my earthly expectations to Him

Psalm 119:11 Hidden In My Heart…That I might live excellently

Inscribed On My Heart That I Might Believe In You With An Undivided Heart!

2 Peter 1:5-8

"For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ." –

Developing My AWE-GOD Through Gratefulness

Precious Jesus, I can't even begin to thank you with words that are even close to being worth what Your salvation is to me. I am so grateful. Father God, thank you for the priceless opportunity to lead my granddaughter Ryanne to Your Salvation on Saturday, March 26th. I will never forget that day or her sweet voice accepting You and being ushered into salvation for her life and for her forever life with You. Jesus!

A Seasoned Servant Of God Has Encouraged Me Today

Psalm 6:1-4

O LORD, do not rebuke me in Your anger; do not discipline me in Your wrath.
2 Be gracious to me, LORD, for I am weak; heal me, LORD, for my bones are shaking;
3 my whole being is shaken with terror. And You, LORD—how long?
4 Turn, LORD! Rescue me; save me because of Your faithful love.

How precious it is to be the feet of God to take a message of hope to someone suffering. Let God use your feet today. Let Him use your heart and mouth for His glory as well. And if someone you know has prayed a prayer likes David's above, you may just be God's answer for them.  What an awesome privilege to be used by God in that way.

Pastor Elliott

My Thoughts About This:

To be used by God to make someone smile from the inside-out, to give someone hope who is suffering is one of the most humbling and precious gifts God gives us. When you think about it, God is not stingy with His gifts, He holds nothing back from us. He equips us with so much, we have soooooooo much that is worth everything because we can use what He gifts us with to make an significant-eternal difference in the human condition. It is so cool that God has chosen to use us, He can do it by Himself, yet He gives. I love our God! Have a great week!

THEE WORD FOR THE WEEK

Sovereign Sight

Habakkuk 2:2-20

Monday – Read Habakkuk 2:2-20

1 [OH, I know, I have been rash to talk out plainly this way to God!] I will [in my thinking] stand upon my post of observation and station myself on the tower or fortress, and will watch to see what He will say within me and what answer I will make [as His mouthpiece] to the perplexities of my complaint against Him.

2 And the Lord answered me and said, Write the vision and engrave it so plainly upon tablets that everyone who passes may [be able to] read [it easily and quickly] as he hastens by.

3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time and it hastens to the end [fulfillment]; it will not deceive or disappoint. Though it tarry, wait [earnestly] for it, because it will surely come; it will not be behindhand on its appointed day.

4 Look at the proud; his soul is not straight or right within him, but the [rigidly] just and the [uncompromisingly] righteous man shall live by his faith and in his faithfulness.

5 Moreover, wine and wealth are treacherous; the proud man [the Chaldean invader] is restless and cannot stay at home. His appetite is large like that of Sheol and [his greed] is like death and cannot be satisfied; he gathers to himself all nations and collects all people as if he owned them.

6 Shall not all these [victims of his greed] take up a taunt against him and in scoffing derision of him say, Woe to him who piles up that which is not his! [How long will he possess it?] And [woe to him] who loads himself with promissory notes for usury!

7 Shall [your debtors] not rise up suddenly who shall bite you, exacting usury of you, and those awake who will vex you [toss you to and fro and make you tremble violently]? Then you will be booty for them.

8 Because you [king of Babylon] have plundered many nations, all who are left of the people shall plunder you--because of men's blood and for the violence done to the earth, to the city and all the people who live in each city.

9 Woe to him who obtains wicked gain for his house, [who thinks by so doing] to set his nest on high that he may be preserved from calamity and delivered from the power of evil!

10 You have devised shame to your house by cutting off and putting an end to many peoples, and you have sinned against and forfeited your own life.

11 For the stone shall cry out of the wall [built in sin, to accuse you], and the beam out of the woodwork will answer it [agreeing with its charge against you].

12 Woe to him who builds a town with blood and establishes a city by iniquity!

13 Behold, is it not by appointment of the Lord of hosts that the nations toil only to satisfy the fire [that will consume their work], and the peoples weary themselves only for emptiness, falsity, and futility?

14 But [the time is coming when] the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.

15 Woe to him who gives his neighbors drink, who pours out your bottle to them and adds to it your poisonous and blighting wrath and also makes them drunk, that you may look on their stripped condition and pour out foul shame [on their glory]!

16 You [yourself] will be filled with shame and contempt instead of glory. Drink also and be like an uncircumcised [heathen]! The cup [of wrath] in the Lord's right hand will come around to you [O destroyer], and foul shame shall be upon your own glory!

17 For the violence done to Lebanon will cover and overwhelm you; the destruction of the animals [which the violence frightened away] will terrify you on account of men's blood and the violence done to the land, to the city and all its inhabitants.

18 What profit is the graven image when its maker has formed it? It is only a molten image and a teacher of lies. For the maker trusts in his own creations [as his gods] when he makes dumb idols.

19 Woe to him who says to the wooden image, Awake! and to the dumb stone, Arise, teach! [Yet, it cannot, for] behold, it is laid over with gold and silver and there is no breath at all inside it!

20 But the Lord is in His holy temple; let all the earth hush and keep silence before Him.

· We must understand this entire passage is God's answer to Habakkuk's questions.

·What questions of Habakkuk's is God is answering in this passage? Refer to Habakkuk 1:12-2:1.

1:12 Are not You from everlasting, O Lord my God, my Holy One? We shall not die.

Why then do You look upon the plunderer? Why are you silent when the wicked one destroys him who is more righteous than [the Chaldean oppressor] is?14 Why do You make men like the fish of the sea, like reptiles and creeping things that have no ruler [and are defenseless against their foes]?

1:17 Shall he therefore continue to empty his net and mercilessly go on slaying the nations forever?

My Thoughts About These Verses:

I have so felt that way so many times! Why do the Christians suffer and the sinners look like they are just partying it up…. And why does God take the good people home when we could do without some of those who are so awful in their lawlessness? God works His Kingdom Purposes in seasons, but don't ever doubt that His Kingdom purposes are not in play and that He is not working out the perfect plan. Things may look horrible, we may not understand but we only see in part, we see only this season, God is tilling the ground preparing for our next season. It is just a season and God is saying a time will come… when I will make all things right. God works in seasons and we must love Him and trust in His goodness no matter what season of life we are in. All things are eventually transformed in God's Good Kingdom Purpose!

Forgiven People Forgive

"And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you." Ephesians 4:32, NKJV

Forgiven people forgive, because they are eternally grateful for the grace of God's forgiveness in their heart. They are keenly aware that outside of Christ, they are cursed to a cycle of unforgiveness—lost in their sins. Thus, the Lord raised them up forgiven, so then they in turn can forgive. Forgiveness on earth flows from forgiveness in heaven. It is something to be passed on today, not to be stored away for some unique future occasion.

Unforgiveness encroaches on the health of our relationships. Its cancerous affect eats away at our enjoyment of God, family and friends. Suddenly, without advance notice, we lash out at those we love—because of someone we don't love. Unforgiveness, like an inactive but rumbling volcano, waits to explode at any moment of disappointment. The embroiled embers smolder like sin and will erupt when pressure shakes its foundation. Do you hold a grudge that has a hold of you? Does resentment hang over you like a bad dream, only you never wake up? This level of emotional upheaval is no way to live for the Lord. His will is not for you to be preoccupied with people who have stolen your joy and hindered your fellowship with Jesus. Forgiveness frees you from the bitter taste of bitterness and replaces it with the sweet taste of grace. Thus, forgive as you have been forgiven. True forgiveness is sincere and all-inclusive. We are not in the position to judge who deserves forgiveness and who does not deserve forgiveness.

What if you forgive someone and they are unresponsive and unrepentant? You cannot control another's response, only yours. Trust that the Lord is working in their hearts and that your humble and sincere example will begin a work of grace in their heart. Love and kindness tear down walls of anger—grace and forgiveness build bridges of hope. Satan's destructive deception is exposed and destroyed in the face of your forgiveness:

Related Readings: Micah 7:18; Jeremiah 33:8; Luke 7:47; Hebrews 8:12

Micah 7:18-20 Who is a God like You, Who forgives iniquity and passes over the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He retains not His anger forever, because He delights in mercy and loving-kindness.19 He will again have compassion on us; He will subdue and tread underfoot our iniquities. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea. 20 You will show Your faithfulness and perform the sure promise to Jacob and loving-kindness and mercy to Abraham, as You have sworn to our fathers from the days of old.

Jeremiah 33:8 And I will cleanse them from all the guilt and iniquity by which they have sinned against Me, and I will forgive all their guilt and iniquities by which they have sinned and rebelled against Me

Hebrews 8:12 For I will be merciful and gracious toward their sins and I will remember their deeds of unrighteousness no more.

My Thoughts About This:

This could not be more true! I think unforgiveness is satan's plan to destroy us, not the person who has hurt us. I really do! Unforgiveness doesn't hurt that person, it hurts us, it causes us to be self-focused, to be swept away in bitterness, bitterness that keeps us from the promise, provison and purposes of God. Unforgiveness is a huge tactic of our enemy to hurt us. I truly like what he said about satan's lies being exposed when we forgive. That is too cool. I like what he said about: "forgiven people forgive"…. That is where our focus should be, on the true forgiver, the One Who has forgiven us much, not on the sinner, the offender, but on Jesus.

Perseverance!

There a lot of times we have to keep on keeping on. We just don't quit. We will have a lot of temptations in life to quit. Those who quit, never succeed. You can't quit your way to the top. Persevere! Continue On… Develop The Discipline Of Perseverance As You Refuse To Quit!

My Thoughts About This:

Lord Bless Jeremy with the fullness of Your endurance and help him to persevere, to let Your Holy Spirit develop the Kingdom purposes in play all around him! Lord Help Each Of Us To Be Doing: 2 Peter 1:5-8….add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective……

Exhortation- The Shepherd's Communicated Love-Wisdom!

Answer To Kevin Wimbish Who Asked Me To Be The 6PM Chat Host. I prayed about it and I know this is where God has me right now.  He definitely has me online, which is really different for me, He has always had me in hands on ministry, but a few years ago, He changed that up and I have to admit that I went with my will kicking and screaming! LOL! But I realize in Followship of Jesus, obedience is the best way for the greatest God-Adventures there are. I know you don't know me well, I am a "seasoned servant" had 30 years of 24/7 loving and serving God. I don't compartmentalize God, He is my Whole life and as Pastor Todd says at Christ Fellowship: Everyday… Everyone… Everyday… Everywhere…. I recognized a long time ago that God likes to deal with me in seasons and I should gleam everything out of my current season. Sometimes, it is a season where I get more rest, sometimes it is a season that I am full out, but always the common denominator is Jesus and the 1st step of everyday is Followship! Because of the life-experiences I had growing up as very disciplined gymnast from the age of 6, I lived in a Gym. I learned the power of discipline. Of course, I took that into my new walk with Christ at age 19 and I became a Martha. God gave me the gift of Exhortation, but I had the skill of administration and the two clashed for a long time until the Holy Spirit finally won out over my will and transformed me into a Martha with a Mary's heart. Mid way in my walk as a servant of God, I learned a very important lesson, taught to me from the Holy Spirit from Isaiah 50. I was walking by the light of my own fire. I was kindling my own fire and the wood was "ministry". I could "do" ministry. I was trained, experienced and had gained a lot of wisdom from what I had experienced. So I could kindle my own fire and walk by the light of it…. But Oh, the strain of that… it wears you out!! My life now is that of a "seasoned servant" that does not lean on anything from the past, it is great to have that wisdom and I will only use it being led by The Holy Spirit. I want to redeem God's time and nothing is really worth the time expended, except when you are led by God, only then do have His power, strength and wisdom for the season at hand. I still am very administrative, very disciplined and very extortive (as you can see LOL) but with one HUGE adjustment... Jesus controls my moments… I schedule myself, but when God interrupts I drop it, and follow. I still discipline my devotional life, but when the Holy Spirit says I want to talk to you about this, what I planned gets set down. I write a lot. I read, I write. But nothing gets published for anyone except that which God says to say, when He says to say. When I kindled my own fire, it seemed like the gifts God gave me tortured me, wrung me out, but walking by the light of God's all consuming fire, is totally amazing. I accomplish more than I could ever hope for or imagine for His Kingdom and it is very humbling. When I first came to Biltmore, I wanted so much to fit in somewhere and I tried College Ministry under Pastor Tim, that was good and I tried to contact other ministries like children's because I have served there before but God kept shutting the door, and I never made contact. So then I did the smart thing… I waited… I know the Holy Spirit has put me in online ministry, I have been faithful to that for the last three years. I chat host for another church in Florida, their Saturday 11PM service and teach a life-group after their Saturday 6pm service. I also have taught their Triumph Over Suffering 12 week online class that is an amazing, amazing class. I have my website that I maintain and write for and it gets over 8 thousand hits a month with myriads of countries and God has me on twitter, encouraging-exhorting, Led by the Lord I schedule tweets for every day. I know the Holy Spirit is calling me to Prison ministry, to help with the Swannanoa Women's. I have met with Pastor Bill and I know God is calling me to the new campus, don't see the full picture on that, but right now it is intercession, but I know I will be there, I will be serving God there in whatever capacity He needs me. So that is a little bit of who I am… and you know WHOSE I am. Thanks for the opportunity to be used by God. I will be away for the 1st weekend in May. My son is having surgery, he was wounded in Afghanistan last year and we are hoping huge this next surgery will give him back the feeling in his hand. They have not been able to restore full movement to his shoulder, but it is somewhat better. He needs one more surgery for that. But it will be six months after this one. His head injury is completely healed and we praise God for that…he does have a few memory blanks, but he is doing so much better. Thank God for that! Hope you have a great Monday. Let me know what I need to know about the online ministry, I want to be submitted to the plan God has showed you for Biltmore online ministry and come underneath your leadership, if there is anything I am not, it is a lone-ranger, I like being led. God Bless You Much Today!

VERSE:

After he had said this, Jesus was troubled in spirit and

testified, "I tell you the truth, one of you is going to betray

me." -- John 13:21

THOUGHT:

I can still remember my friend saying it in church one Sunday:

"We think so badly of old Judas for betraying the Lord for 30

pieces of silver, but how many times do we betray him for nothing?"

Ouch! What makes this so difficult for us to bear is Jesus' anguish

knowing one of his own would betray him. Let's make every effort

and call upon God's strength so that such betrayal can never be

true of us! And if it ever is, let's make sure we run toward his

grace with an honest desire to escape sin and come back to him!

PRAYER:

Jesus, I am sorry for the times I have broken your heart with my

rebellion and neglect. Father God, I apologize for my lack of

passion and zeal for your Son's sacrifice that saved me from sin

and death. I want to live more vibrantly for Jesus so others may

see him and come to know him. It is in his precious and holy name I

pray. Amen.

My Thoughts About This:

OUCH! This hurts my heart. I know I have broken Your heart Lord Jesus, so many times because of my willfulness. I am thankful that Your Holy Spirit is continuously guiding and teaching me to lift You higher than my will, to follow after You. I pray and hope I don't break Your heart again. Jesus! I pray for the passion and zeal for Your Kingdom purposes, the passion for the things on Your heart today.

Worthy News Brief @worthyemail.com

John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

It's good to bring those things in our lives, which are hidden in the darkness, to the light. Many times we are slaves to them and we don't even realize it! We will go through a few devotions on this topic this week. God wants us to be free, so that we can be available for Him!

Pride, rebellion, and fear -- these are three things we have all struggled with -- no matter how mature we are in age or faith. Why is that? Rejection. Our friends have experienced it. Our families have experienced it. We, and all mankind have experienced it. It makes us feel hopeless and worthless -- And our tendency as humans is to overcompensate for these feelings by behaving in one or all of the three ways above. The first step in getting free is to realize that God is our defense in everything we have endured and will endure. He has always been our defense. And it is our decision whether or not to call upon His Name in our time of need and allow Him to arise and demonstrate His great power.

Kimberly, let's pray and ask the Lord to reveal any old wounds of rejection that have been covered over by years of pride or fear or rebellion and let's ask Him to forgive us for not allowing Him to defend us in those areas. May we begin to experience God's wonderful freedom even as we pray.

My Thoughts About This:

Very interesting! I never thought about it, but spiritual pride does and can come from the fear of rejection. Rejection makes us feel worthless and we overcompensate by acting out in self-righteousness. I used to walk so much in judgement, spiritual pride and self righteousness, until Jesus healed me of rejection. I had some pretty ugly scars in my heart from rejection, probably from people who had dealt with the same thing passed the poison!

10Distress that drives us to God does that. It turns us around. It gets us back in the way of salvation. We never regret that kind of pain. But those who let distress drive them away from God are full of regrets, end up on a deathbed of regrets.

11-13And now, isn't it wonderful all the ways in which this distress has goaded you closer to God? You're more alive, more concerned, more sensitive, more reverent, more human, more passionate, more responsible. Looked at from any angle, you've come out of this with purity of heart.

Don't say anything that does not come from the heart of God 1st - We can't change people and when we try it comes off self-righteously

QUOTES THAT ENCOURAGE-INSPIRE GROWTH-CHANGE ME

So how do we hold ourselves to a standard without becoming legalistic? By relying on the Holy Spirit for both direction and empowerment. He will tell us what to do to resist temptation and grow in holiness; and He will give us the grace to overcome and follow through - when we do as He says. If our disciplines are not led by the Spirit, they are merely dead works - good as they might seem.

Discerning God's Will

"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will." Romans 12:2

God's will is the goal of every sincere seeker of the Lord. His will is not allusive, but attainable to His children—it is good and acceptable. But discernment is a process of testing and approving—so that a Christian's faith and character grows—and Christ's best is clarified. Discerning God's will is a spiritual exercise in divine due diligence.

God's will does not contradict God's word. For instance, the Lord does not lead couples to live together outside of marriage. Men and women are meant to come together in marriage. It is the commitment of "becoming one" that God blesses. Indeed, the general principles for living are already outlined in the Bible—to know Him is to know His will.

"I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better" (Ephesians 1:17). (So Be It Lord Jesus!)

What about career decisions? How do you know God's will for your work? If you are single you have the freedom and risk tolerance to travel the world. If you are married it is a joint decision for Jesus. His will resides in righteous motives. Don't be afraid to leave and don't feel guilty for staying—just make sure His peace precedes your decision-making.

Christ's best for you consist of wise stewardship, the alignment of your passions, gifts and experiences, and your investment in others. You can be certain Jesus wants to use you to draw people unto Himself—and family is your first priority for ministry. So, don't run ahead and leave them exposed to the enemy. Patience produces right relational results.

"Being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience" (Colossians 1:11).

God does not delight in keeping His children in the dark, so pray often and pray believing. It is in prayer that the Holy Sprit reveals His ways. Clarity may come in the form of a scripture verse, another person's example or godly counsel. The flesh presses for a decision, but the Spirit leads. You can trust the Lord to lead you in His providential path.

His will is not forced, contrived or manipulated. It's not a complex Rubik's cube; instead it aligns around your God-given unique purpose on the planet. Why did He create you? What gives Him the most pleasure? Place your life, skills, gifts, experiences and calling in the best environment to glorify God. Peace accompanies the discernment of God's will.

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit" (Romans 15:13).

Am I waiting on the peace of God, as I am prayerfully determining the will of God?
