Ecclesiastes 4: 9-12

Dear Bob and Kim,

I have the privilege on many occasions to share my testimony of God's grace and salvation in my life.  Usually it is on a 'one-on-one' basis, sometimes at a small dinner meeting for the Gideons, and sometimes before a crowd of a couple of thousand Gideons from around the world.  Whether you and I tell people 'one-on-one' or before thousands, they want to know what the Lord has done in your life.  They want to ask, "So, what's your story"?

Be careful when you tell it.  You see your story cuts both ways.  There is your story according to you; and then there is your story according to others.  Pay careful attention, then, to how you walk.  Your walk is your story and that is how you will be known.

How do you walk in the good times when your children are doing well and your spouse thinks you're the best thing since sliced bread?  How do you walk when your children are an embarrassment to you and your family?  Do you wash your hands of them?

How do you walk when you are battling things you cannot control?  Do you go looking for someone who will listen to your side of the story and pop open a bottle of beer, or pull out some pot, or some other mood changer?  Maybe you feel better about your situation by spending money or taking a mental trip away from reality by pretending everything is wonderful.  (Remember denial is not a river in Egypt).  Here's what to do when you are under the stresses and trials of life:

be filled by the Spirit:
19 speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making music from your heart to the Lord,
20 giving thanks always for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
21 submitting to one another in the fear of Christ.

Speaking and what we speak to one another can become our story as they experience our lives lived out. That is why I truly believe in journaling and blogging because this is your life story. I also believe in sharing Jesus and how He has impacted my life, because my story is His story. We all have a story but one of the most important things I believe about our stories is the common denominator of them. The common denominator of every story is Jesus, therefore my story is your story and your story is my story because our lives are always and forever united by Jesus. When your life story causes you to hurt, Jesus hurts and so do I. When your life story causes you to celebrate, Jesus celebrates and so do I. Owning each other's life stories as if they are your own, you will experience the compassion and passion and miraculous power of the common denominator of every story! Jesus Christ! There is NO story without HIM!

Confess and Renounce 

"Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy." Proverbs 28:13

Sin that man covers, Christ will uncover. Sin that man uncovers, Christ will cover. He covers it with His love. Shame seeks to hide unseemly behavior from heaven, but a loving Savior brings grace to feelings of disgrace. It is better to quickly reveal to God what He already knows. Admission is healing. Sin that is concealed compounds its cruel consequences, but immediate confession and renouncement lessens its unholy effects.
Like sodium contributes to rising blood pressure, so sin contributes to a sick and sad heart. However, the remedy of walking in humility brings down the demon of disillusioned living and replaces it with peaceful wisdom. A clear conscience has clarity in the ways of God. Sin ignored is a silent killer of relational intimacy, but sin laid bare finds mercy.
"Therefore, Your Majesty, be pleased to accept my advice: Renounce your sins by doing what is right, and your wickedness by being kind to the oppressed. It may be that then your prosperity will continue." Daniel 4:27
Is there a hidden sin that haunts you? Perhaps flirtation has crept into your mind and emotions for someone other than your spouse. Online forays into places that provide short-term satisfaction have created long-term dissatisfaction. A hidden sin can be failing to disclose all the information in a deal or relationship for fear of rejection. These deceptive delights turn sour to our souls when exposed to the light of the Lord's love and holiness.
When we bow before the glowing glory of God, our motives and concealed sins are exposed. Like a freshly fileted fish, the glory of God is able to gut slimy sin from the belly of our bad behavior. The degree of our indiscretions determine the depth of our pain, but far better to come clean with Christ than to live a lie in silent suffering. So, bow in humble confession and genuine repentance—as His glory and mercy make you whole.
"Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit." 2 Corinthians 3:17-18

Mark 6: Jesus Rejected…….

Jesus was rejected in His home town. Deeply offended they refused to believe in Him. You are not honored among your family. Jesus was amazed at their unbelief and did not do miracles among them.

12 Disciples: sent out two by two, giving them experience.

If any place refuses to welcome you or listen to you, shake its dust from your feet to show you have abandoned them to their fate.

Herod heard about Jesus, he thought John The Baptist had come back from the dead. As a favor to Herodius, he had him beheaded.

The king made a vow before his people so he could not refuse Herodius daughter, peer pressured into killing John The Baptist

Jesus went off by Himself to a quiet place to rest… Jesus saw the huge crowd and had compassion on them. He taught them many things.

Send the crowds away, but Jesus said: You feed them! They went and found 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish. Jesus blessed what He had and multiplied it and they ate as much as they wanted and had left overs. 5000 men and families were fed on those 5 loaves and 1 fish.

Jesus came toward them walking on the water, they cried out thinking he was a ghost… Jesus spoke to them: Don't be afraid, take courage, I am here…

They did not understand the significance of the miracle of the loafs… their hearts were too hard to take it in.

The sick Who touched even the fringe of Jesus' robe with faith were healed.

My Thoughts About This = Miraculous Musings! J

One thing John Maxwell taught me (he is an amazing teacher of leadership principles) is to listen and write. Writing clarifies... So either face to face or phone or email, I am listening and writing. When I was an administrative secretary, I kept my Word document open all day. When I answered the phone, I would listen more than I talked and then I would type the name of the person and write what I heard. I kept a journal of all conversations during the day, it helped me so much relationally in the long run!! At the end of the day, I would look over the file and I would pray and then close out that file for the day in prayer! It was a cool way for me to end my day by blessing every person/conversation I had that day. Closing the file in prayer!

Kimberly, a priceless gem is being formed -- IN YOU!

We've been receiving dozens of emails lately from people who are really feeling the pressure, and who have expressed gratitude and appreciation for our devotions over the last few days. Reading through some of the replies, my initial thought was – wow, God is creating some magnificent diamonds!

A diamond is the hardest natural substance known, having been created by intense heat and pressure. I'm seeing believers becoming like diamonds, created the only way possible, through fiery trials...and then, the final precision sculpting by the Master Jeweler as He cuts them into priceless gems. I believe this is not just a metaphor, but a true "last days" vision, for, as these diamonds are prepared, and as the light of Yeshua begins beaming through them, I'm seeing thousands of rays of light impacting this darkening world around us...all for His glory!

Kimberly, don't despise the discipline, the intense pressure you are currently under, the testing of your faith. Rather, as hard as it can be, try to embrace them in light of what they truly are -- the very method of God's forming you into a priceless diamond for the world to see, and be amazed at the beauty of Yeshua shining bright and clear as crystal through your very life!

So true! I am in a season of pressure mostly because God's Will for me is not the way I would have chosen for my life to go. I can't even see ahead, so therefore there is no planning. It is opposite of my nature, but isn't that a good thing!! Because I am out of my comfort zone, I am clinging to God, digging my roots deeply in His Kingdom. Things here seem to matter less, stuff matters not at all. The things here I was clinging to, I have let go of. So yes, I am uncomfortable in this season of my life and it is turning out to truly be God good for me!

God Blessed Home

"The Lord's curse is on the house of the wicked, but he blesses the home of the righteous." Proverbs 3:33

What type of home does the Lord bless? He blesses a home that trusts Him, and does right, as God defines right. A home that prioritizes the implementation of heaven's agenda on earth, He blesses. A home that builds up, rather than tears down, He blesses. A home that humbly reads Scripture together, and seeks to personally apply its truth, He blesses.

A home that prays together, plays together, worships together, and serves together, He blesses. "God bless our home" is a wise prayer for a family of faith. Even if your home is more like hell than heaven, you can still make a significant difference. Let your light of love shine in service to undeserving family members, and your Heavenly Father will draw them unto Himself. God blesses a home shingled with unselfish service.

"But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD." Joshua 24:15

You may be the spiritual leader of the home, but you do not have the confidence to lead in religious matters. Yet there is hope. First of all, keep it simple by spending individual time alone with the Lord. Take what He is teaching you in His word, and transfer it to your family. If you are learning humility, read a Bible verse about the humble, and share a recent humbling experience from your life.

God blesses a leader in the home who is authentic and transparent. Family members can relate to your real struggles, instead of perceived perfection. The home is heaven's hospital for healing, encouragement, and accountability. Make Christianity work at home, and then you have the creditability of a God blessed model to export it into the church and community. Christ shows contempt for the house of sinners, but blesses the home of wise saints.

How, by God's grace, can I make our home a haven of rest and righteous behavior?

When you are faced with any difficult decision, it is wise to wait until you have a clear answer before taking a step you may regret. It might feel uncomfortable and you may want to hurry, but don't allow that pressure to take precedence over the wisdom and knowledge of God.

Prayer Starter: Lord, I don't want to get so caught up in the heat of the moment that I make a decision I regret. Remind me to daily wait on You. It might be difficult, but receiving Your wisdom and knowledge is worth it.

Waiting for God's timing has been a huge failure in my life. I have been impulsive and many times made the wrong choice because I did not give God time to work. If I want to be a person who makes the right choice the 1st time, I need to damn up the flow of impulsivity in my life. I need to let God Work, take as much time as He needs to accomplish His purposes in my situation. I am learning this the hard way as I am paying the consequences for my previous impulsive activities!!

Managing Your Emotions By Joyce Meyer

Dealing with emotions is a fact of life. As long as we live, we will experience a variety of emotional feelings and reactions, and we must not deny their existence or feel guilty because of them.

However, we do need to learn to manage our emotions. This is easier when we understand that we cannot trust them. In fact, they can be our greatest enemy. Satan uses our emotions against us to keep us from walking in the Spirit.

It is so important to know that the Lord our God who resides within each of us is mighty. His might within us enables us to overcome our emotions and be led by His unchangeable Word and Spirit instead of our unstable feelings and emotions.

Spiritual stability and emotional maturity don't come naturally. You must desire it with all your heart and be determined to get it. When you make emotional stability a priority, God is more than willing to help you manage your emotions.

I encourage you to pursue that today. Enjoy emotional stability and a joyful, victorious life!

Prayer Starter: God, I choose to pursue emotional stability. I don't want to be controlled by my emotions, but I want to learn to manage them properly. Thank You for living in me and helping me with Your great strength.

Patient Endurance 

"This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of the saints."  Revelation 13:10b

Patient endurance is not easy, but many times it is necessary. If you change jobs every two years, ten times in a row, you do not have twenty years of work experience. You have two years of work experience in ten different places. So, make sure that you learn what God intends for you to learn where you are, before you move on. This is one of Satan's ploys. His desire is to keep you reactive to life, accompanied by a shallow faith.
Your faith has the opportunity to go deep when you stay somewhere for a while, but your faith remains shallow when you run from resistance. Resistance is a faith builder. When you are pressed against by life (what sometimes seems from all sides), you have the opportunity for growth. This is where patient endurance can serve you well. Patient endurance says that I will stay in this marriage, because it is for better or for worse. I will allow God to change me for the better, and I will trust Him to do the same for my spouse over time.
Indeed, patient endurance is able to outwait and sometimes outlive its accusers. Accusers come and go. If they do not get the reaction or desired response from you, they will move on to some other unprotected prey. So, by faith, "out-endure" your enemies. There will always be someone who does not like you. Don't think you can appease everyone; this is not possible or healthy. Appeasement may grant concessions that come back to haunt you. It is one thing to negotiate with those who represent a spirit of good will but it is a whole other deal to compromise with someone who is totally at odds with your values and principles. Be willing to walk away. It is not worth it to do business with an enraged enemy.
Patient endurance is illustrated throughout the Bible. Jesus patiently endured the cross. He patiently endured His critics and, ultimately, He more than restored His reputation when He proved His claims by His resurrected life. David patiently endured the fallout from his adultery and murder. He had pushed himself to the point of totally turning his back on God, but, instead, he turned back to God and became a broken and humbled leader.
Joseph, also, patiently endured the ridicule and jealousy of his family members.
Their injustice drove his faith in God deeper and broader. His patient endurance during the horrific injustice of his imprisonment led to his godly influence over a kingdom. Hannah patiently endured her inability to bear children. Her faithfulness to God during barrenness was a testimony of encouragement to friends, family and a nation. Her womb was empty, but her faith was pregnant with God possibilities.
Therefore, do not be tempted to take the easy way out. The easy way, many times, is not the best way. Yes, there is a time to cut your losses, but only after you have patiently endured and exhausted your options. People are watching how you "do life." So, use your influence to help others patiently endure their situations. Faithfulness, when you don't feel like it, is evidence of a maturing faith. You may be on the verge of experiencing God's very best.
However, do not confuse procrastination with patient endurance. Patient endurance is active and productive. It is not misguided, apathetic or irresponsible waiting. It is daily depending on and seeking God for His best. Therefore, patiently endure for God's sake and for the sake of others. Heavenly rewards await those who patiently endure. Moreover, your faith will never be the same!

This is so true and it really spoke to me about King David how he patiently endured the consequences of his sins. I have consequences in my life from years of impulsive decisions about my finances and I am suffering from those choices. I need to patiently endure my consequences.

Obligation! Things we have to do, and sometimes they are not excited to do, but it makes us responsible. If you do the things you have to do consistently and long enough, sometimes you will get to do the things you want to do. In the beginning we do what we have to do well, and later on we have options to do the things we want to. We need to start off with obligation, duty and responsibility.

OBLIGATIONS - I am a writer, speaker, teacher, leader... all of which have their obligations. I'd like to write about the dark side of obligation. So many feel shame and guilt over unmet obligations. The weight of shame and guilt will hold you back. It will impede your progress. Put it behind you. Shame and guilt are for those who WILL NOT meet obligations, not for those who HAVE NOT met them. Obligations are not fun, simply because they are imposed and not chosen. It seems that even a hobby, if becomes an obligation, it ceases to be fun! However, Obligations are the teachers and drivers of Discipline and, Discipline is one of those indispensable Fundamentals, if we want to build a solid and lasting construction of any kind in our lives.

My 1st Obligation is to be called to God 1st! After that, all obligations I have can be ordered by Him and through Him I can get them done one by one, hopefully with excellence unto Him! Sometimes though I get frustrated by the "suddenly" things of life that pop up and put off my obligations and I have to continually remind myself, my 1st obligation is to God and through that connection, all things "God Destined" eventually get done!

Change of Plans 

"When they came to the border of Mysia, they tried to enter Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus would not allow them to. So they passed by Mysia and went down to Troas." Acts 16:7-8

Sudden change can shake the faith foundation of the most ardent saints. The unexpected can cause trust to feel threatened. One day the Spirit seems to say one thing and the next day that door shuts and another one opens. Temperaments who like to be in control do not like the feeling of being out of control. But sudden change is a test of trust in Jesus.
We do our best at work and then we learn that our position will soon be eliminated. We invest in a romantic relationship over a year and then surprisingly—over coffee—learn, that we just need to be friends. We research and wait for the right cure for our disease, only to realize at the last moment that we do not qualify for the treatment. Change happens, and how we respond to change resides in our heart. Thus, experience Christ in change.
"Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are his. He changes times and seasons; he deposes kings and raises up others. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with him." Daniel 2:20-22
Christ uses change to change His children. Does your need for security trump your trust in Jesus? Does financial certainty have more influence in your life than intimacy with your heavenly Father? Perhaps abrupt change is an opportunity for your character to grow in God's ways and learn to adapt with a grateful attitude. Fight change and you may flail about like a fatigued swimmer going up stream, or embrace change and excel ahead.
It is when we draft behind change that our understanding of His will accelerates. Sudden change may be your Savior's way of protecting you from an unseen incident. By grace, do not grow suspect of a change in plans; instead see Christ in the change. Adjustments need to be made—transitions need to happen, so the ways of God can have their way. Christ doesn't change, but our understanding of Him does—thus a change of plans.
"God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should change His mind. Does He speak and then not act? Does He promise and not fulfill? I have received a command to bless; He has blessed, and I cannot change it." Number 23:19-20

Sudden change has really been a demon in my life the last three years. I have not been able to pass the test. Eventually I pass, but the struggle to pass just about does me in. I want to change, I want to be able to pass this test of sudden change without my emotions being wrung out. I want to have the kind of faith that holds up my emotions during sudden change. I am tired of failing this test… in fact I am sick and tired of failing this test, sick of all things myself and tired of my emotions feeling like a roller coaster ride that doesn't stop! I want to pass this test!! Help these truths that I just read sink into my spirit.

  • Sudden change is God's way of protecting me and keeping me in line with His Will
  • See God in the change, find God in the change, therefore not focusing on doubt.
  • Make adjustments in my alignment with God, so He can have His Way in my life.
  • Pray for God's understanding instead of wearing myself out to find my own

  • The destiny God has for us, the success God has for us today looks a whole lot different than the success we want in this world. What do you think?
  • Worldly riches are not a true destiny for us. We need to pursue a heavenly destiny, a destiny in Jesus that does not change according to the cultural tides of our world.
  • In Christ, our destiny is the same today, tomorrow and forever and no suddenly situation on earth can change that!
  • What are you in pursuit of? Is it worldly success or is it heavenly destiny? What drives you? I stumble into a pit of self, when I flip-flop the pursuit of destiny for the chase of worldly success.
  • We were planned for way in advance. Our Destiny was set in Jesus Christ!
  • Our destiny is in an Holy Alliance with God's Kingdom Purpose
  • Our destiny was set in the atmosphere of God's pleasure, God's Love for us!
  • We never escape our destiny, because God is always with us planning for it and miraculously stepping us into His divine appointment.
  • We have divine appointments with our unique call every single day. God sets up our day with specific purpose and in divine destiny!
  • What are you running your life-race for? Are you called to God1st or self success?

We are destined to love God – destined to win eternity! Shine It! Tell your God Story to someone this week! Illuminate God!

Promises To Province To Purpose

I can have a faith that grows huge in strength and stability as I pursue the Promises of God! Marching across the length and width of their miraculous potential, I speak them into soul ownership and experience the possibility of My AWE-GOD through them.
When I pursue the Promises of my AWE-GOD, I will discover for myself the Kingdom Purpose within the province of God's Promises and I will experience God's Glory as His Kingdom grows in me and through me!

Sickness Isn't Only Physical! By Joyce Meyer

The Bible teaches that Jesus came to heal our wounds, to bind up and heal our broken hearts, and to give us beauty instead of ashes and the oil of joy instead of mourning (see Isaiah 61:1-3).

Many Christians read this scripture and know that God wants to heal us from physical and spiritual sickness, but there's more to it than that. The truth is that our emotions are part of our makeup and they can become sick like any other part of us.

The world today is full of people who are suffering from emotional pain. The cause is often abuse, rejection, abandonment, betrayal, disappointment, judgment, criticism or other negative behavior by others. This emotional pain can be more devastating than physical pain because people feel that they have to hide it and pretend it isn't real.

Lord you sent me here to this book, to this page by the prompting of Your Holy Spirit. It was perfect for me because I am struggling with my today, with the situations that I am facing that I can't see a way out of; with decisions that need to be made, that I can't see clear enough to make; with fear that arises out of daily occurrences that point to another job loss. This was perfect for me and I am grateful for this Manna given to me today by Your Holy Spirit.

When I cry to you out of my dark place, You hear me, You will shine a light and lead me. There is not one night cry that you do not hear.

You will breakthrough this night season with a "sudden" light and I will be able to see my way clearly and I will move swiftly according to Your Sovereign Will for me. There will be an end to this season of my life where I can't see ahead, I can't see Your Purpose in this dark place, but I do have Your Provision and for that I am thankful.

I love the promise in this that I can't see right now, but I will be able to see later and move later by Your divine unction and authority. I love that… God's Divine Unction-Authority Can Move Me Suddenly From Where I Am To Where I Need To Be - Positioned In His Sovereign Will!

When God leads me and I put my hand, my life completely in His, then I will have His strength, His might, His powerful promptings in my life.

Bring every sudden emergency to You and You will take care of it… bring it 1st, bring it immediately before any thoughts churn up fear, doubt… bring it to God 1st… 1st…. Pray, Fast… 1st before I get down, before I begin assuming, before anything starts a reaction in me, I need to respond to God 1st

He will help him make wise plans and carry them out.

He will help him know the Lord and have respect for him.

The tree cut down is that Jesus? And from Jesus' resurrection grows the Bride of Christ. God will help us, He will rest His Holy Spirit upon us and He will guide us to His wisdom and understanding. The Holy Spirit will rest on us and help us make wise plans and help us carry them out. The Holy Spirit will help me know God!

I like what verse 3 implies that we don't judge by the way things look, we don't make decisions based on what people say.

Vs 4 is amazing too in how it says whatever God says is what will happen… I love that God will always do what is right! We can trust HIM no matter what we see in our circumstances now.

4 He will always do what is right when he judges those who are in need. He'll be completely fair

when he makes decisions about poor people. When he commands that people be punished, it will happen. When he orders that evil people be put to death, it will take place.

What An Amazing Picture Of God! Can You See It! Is 11:5 He will put godliness on as if it were his belt. He'll wear faithfulness around his waist.

VS 9 The oceans are full of water. In the same way, the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord.

What an amazing and true promise. Just look around, there are so many things right in front of our eyes that we can't even begin to explain, that we can be in AWE of God for.

10 At that time the man who is called the Root from Jesse's family line will be like a banner that brings nations together. They will come to him. And the place where he rules will be glorious.

This is Jesus, He is the Root of all of our family lines and we can be deeply rooted in HIS Kingdom, where He rules… Infinitely So! AWE-GOD

ISAIAH CHAPTER 12

God was angry with the people, but after His anger subsided, He brought comfort. I love that picture of God.

VS 2 Is an amazing statement of gratitude to God after they had been disciplined by God, they realized it was the judgement, the discipline that brought them salvation, that changed them.

2 God, you are the one who saves us. We will trust in you. Then we won't be afraid. Lord, you give us strength. We sing about you. Lord, you have saved us." 5 Sing to the Lord. He has done glorious things. Let it be known all over the world. 6 People of Zion, give a loud shout!

Sing with joy! The Holy One of Israel is among you. And he is great."

They just went through the judgement of God and they were ecstatic with joy. Repentance brings great joy and you can really see it in these verses, plus I have felt it… It is not fun to be disciplined by God, but afterwards there is no feeling like it, it is amazing, you feel so clean, so unburdened, so awesome! I can relate to them in the above verses…

ISAIAH CHAPTER 13

3 The Lord has set those soldiers apart to fight for him. He has sent for them to carry out his anger against Babylon. They will be happy when he wins the battle for them.

This is just another reference for the Military to see that God uses them as His Warriors, and they carry out His judgement.

4 Listen! I hear a noise in the mountains. It sounds like a huge crowd. Listen! I hear a loud noise among the kingdoms. It sounds like nations gathering together. The Lord who rules over all is bringing an army together for war. 5 They come from lands far away. They come from the farthest places on earth. The Lord and those weapons of his anger are coming to destroy the whole country of Babylonia.

God Uses Soldiers As Ministers Of His Justice!

11 The Lord will punish the world because it is so evil. He will punish evil people for their sins. He'll put an end to the bragging of those who are proud. He'll bring down the pride of those who don't show any pity.

The Lord Will… Stir Up… Rule… show His anger… make the heavens tremble… shake the earth out of its place… anger will blaze out… destroy sinners… punish the world for evil…. Punish evil people for their sins…

It is so hard to see God in this way, we want to think of Him as grace filled, loving, kind but He has many characteristics and we need to see the whole of HIM, respect and revere Him for WHO He is… this is a part of Him, He punishes sin, He destroys sinners… Don't presume on the Grace of God, God still hates habitual sin, He has not changed. We can change the way we view God, but that does not change God. He is the same God Who judged and destroyed the city of Babylon.

Mark Chapter 4

God has scattered the seed of His truth and life. Some of the seed was eaten by birds, some fell on rocky places where there was not much Kingdom soil--- Dig your roots deeply into Kingdom soil, not the soil of this worldly culture, Kingdom soil or your plant will burn. You will dry up if you are not rooted, deeply rooted in Kingdom soil. Don't plant your seed among thorns, because they will crowd you out and you will not be able to bear fruit. You are called to God 1st ! Be deeply rooted in God's Kingdom 1st and bear fruit and then go out and share it. If you plant your life roots of your ministry among the thorns, you will not bear fruit. Be called to God 1st, deeply rooted in His Kingdom soil

13 Then Jesus said to them, "Don't you understand this story? Then how will you understand any stories of this kind?14 The seed the farmer plants is God's message.15 What is seed scattered on a path like? The message is planted. The people hear the message. Then Satan comes. He takes away the message that was planted in them.16 And what is seed scattered on rocky places like? The people hear the message. At once they receive it with joy.17 But they have no roots. So they last only a short time. They quickly fall away from the faith when trouble or suffering comes because of the message.18 And what is seed scattered among thorns like? The people hear the message.19 But then the worries of this life come to them. Wealth comes with its false promises. The people also long for other things. All of those are the kinds of things that crowd out the message. They keep it from producing fruit.20 And what is seed scattered on good soil like? The people hear the message. They accept it. They produce a good crop 30, 60, or even 100 times more than the farmer planted."

37 A wild storm came up. Waves crashed over the boat. It was about to sink.38 Jesus was in the back, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him up. They said, "Teacher! Don't you care if we drown?"

39 He got up and ordered the wind to stop. He said to the waves, "Quiet! Be still!" Then the wind died down. And it was completely calm. 40 He said to his disciples, "Why are you so afraid? Don't you have any faith at all yet?" 41 They were terrified. They asked each other, "Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!"

The measure of our faith is when we can remain steady in trust and belief when the sudden storms of life arise and we know without a doubt God is with us. I love the picture of Jesus sleeping through the storm. If Jesus is with us, and He always is, then no sudden storm should stir up fearful doubt. Omnipresent Reality Check! Jesus Is Here! He's Got This!

I can have a faith that grows huge in strength and stability as I pursue the Promises of God! Marching across the length and width of their miraculous potential, I speak them into soul ownership and experience the possibility of My AWE-GOD through them.

When I pursue the Promises of my AWE-GOD, I will discover for myself the Kingdom Purpose within the province of God's Promises and I will experience God's Glory as His Kingdom grows in me and through me!

God's Kingdom Purposes Are Always In Play In My Life, With His Intention Of Growing Me Up With Excellence, As A Kingdom Of God Servant Warrior!

As I step out on the Promises of God each day, and I faithfully-consistently believe God's Words spoken to and for me, I confirm the province of their Kingdom Purpose for my life legacy.

We Have A Heritage As God's Children And This Inheritance Begins At Our Salvation And Grows Through Our Forever. Infinitely So! God's Promises Are An Earthy Bridge To Our Heavenly Inheritance!

God left us here on earth with a "Heavenly Hindsight" filled with Kingdom Promise! As you drive through your unchartered life journey of "Great God Adventure" here on earth, use your rear view mirror and occasionally glance behind you, remembering the God Promises spoken on your behalf; the miraculous musings of His faithfulness towards you.

Agreeing with John, there's a saying in Brazil: "Don't take yourself too seriously… Nobody does!" Of course it's a joke, but, a face too serious often acts like a closed door with a "not available" sign on it. We should never be too busy not to share a smile, a warm greeting and a PERSONAL comment to our employees; showing we know them, we acknowledge them… that we care about them! Gratitude and Contentment 

"Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus". 1 Thessalonians 5:18"I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want". Philippians 4:12

Gratitude and contentment go together like turkey and dressing. They feed each other, and are both fostered by faith. When I remember how God has so richly blessed me, I am overwhelmed by His generosity. For example, for His salvation in His son Jesus, I am eternally grateful. His gift of grace, I am grateful for its freedom. His forgiveness, I am grateful for guilt-free living. His love, I am grateful for the ability to love and be loved.
His holiness, I am grateful His character can be trusted and is transformational. Stuff is secondary, while the blessings of faith, family, friends and fitness grow our contentment. We may not have what we want, or even deserve, but in Christ we have all that is necessary. So, be humbly grateful to God, and contentment will increase its influence.
"The fear of the LORD leads to life; then one rests content, untouched by trouble". Proverbs 19:23
Contentment is to rest in Christ, and trust He is in control. Circumstances, good or bad, are an opportunity for Him to show Himself faithful. So, once you go to God in gratitude, you can live life in contentment knowing Christ is in control. Contentment is not passive and uninformed, but rather it is engaged and educated. It is not anxious. It replaces worry with work, pity with prayer, pride with humility, and grumbling with gratitude.
Your peace and stability is the fruit of contentment, which grows out of the ground of gratitude. Seed this soil in prayer, and you will see abundance abound. You are able to accommodate in adversity, because the Almighty has gone before you. You are able to bridle wants in prosperity, because gratitude to God and contentment in Christ governs your generosity. Thank God often, and trust Him to cultivate your contentment.

I completely lost my patience and started yelling, "Hurry! Hurry! Hurry!"

Those of us who have lived in rural areas know that tractors on the road are a fact of life. However, just because they're the norm doesn't make them any less irritating if you're in a rush! I followed a tractor down one of our narrow two-lane roads recently. I could only take the snail's pace for so long before blowing up. But all that yelling, "Hurry! Hurry! Hurry!" didn't speed up the tractor.

How often have I approached God's timing the same way? And it never hurries Him up either.

When God doesn't operate at a pace that pleases me, and I want Him to hurry, I'm reminded of Sarah, Abraham's wife. I have feeling she felt the same way. After waiting ten years for a baby that God had promised (read Genesis 12-21 for the complete story), Sarah decided to "help" God.

Surely ten years was too long for anybody to wait. So Sarah gave her maidservant Hagar to her husband, and the two of them had a child. Soon the two women were at odds. Talk about a soap opera!

Finally, fifteen years later, the child promised by God to Abraham and Sarah was born. God was not late. His timing was perfect. It was Sarah who was in a hurry and rushing things, but she found out there was a price to pay for manipulating her circumstances.

I know Sarah and I are not alone in our desire for God to hurry up. I once heard it said that we are people with gods on our wrists.

In Isaiah 55:9 God says, "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts" (NIV). God's timing is part of His ways. I may be tapping my watch, but He is never late. He may seem slow, but He is always right on time.

Has God made a promise to you that seems sluggish in coming? Has He planted a dream in your heart that has yet to come to fruition?

Don't give up hope! God is faithful, and you can rely on His perfect timing. Fix your eyes on Him and enjoy the journey to your destination. There are things to be learned along the way that will enhance the joy of a promise fulfilled.

Dear Lord, sometimes I don't understand Your timing. It's often very hard to wait, but I trust You. I want to rely on Your ways and Your timing. Help me to learn what I need to learn as I wait. In Jesus' name, Amen.

2 Peter 3:9, "The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance." (NIV 1984)

I like this scripture because it speaks to me about the Truth of God and two ways to share His Wisdom with others. One way to share God's wisdom is by living it out in my life and the second one is by speaking it with peace. My motive for sharing wisdom is crucial to the peace that is imparted. Am I sharing God's Word out of compassion for those who are lost, deceived and hurting that they might have the only solution, Jesus Christ, His Spirit and Truth? What is my motive for sharing God's truth? Is it out of God's heart of passion for someone or is it about me being religiously right? Selfish wisdom is "me" centered in motives all pointing to me. Heavenly wisdom is God centered in Kingdom Purpose-God passion that points to Jesus!

YES! What is the source? Enough with the symptoms, those tend to remain very much the same; different players, same situations. What is the lesson? I've found in my lifetime that I tended to repeat things until I had the "ah-ha" moment I was supposed to.

Peaceful on Purpose By Joyce Meyer

When Jesus left this earth, He said that He was leaving His peace with us. Now the decision we have to make is, are we going to choose to live in the peace He has given us?

Of course, the devil works overtime to try to get you upset. Why? Because he knows that if you don't remain peaceful, you can't hear from God.

If you watch your life, you'll be amazed at how many times a week Satan launches an attack against you for the sole purpose of stealing your peace. When I finally saw that, God said to me in my spirit, "Joyce, if the devil wants your peace that badly, then there must be something pretty powerful about being peaceful."

It's true! So now when the devil tries to steal my peace, I enjoy holding on to it, knowing that I'm getting the better of him. That doesn't mean I don't feel upset, but I can do something positive about it, I can control myself and be peaceful on purpose.

Being peaceful on purpose is something we have to do for ourselves. Will you choose God's peace?

Prayer Starter: Lord, thank You for providing me with Your peace. When the devil tries to steal my peace, reveal his plans to me. I won't let him take my peace. Instead, I'll remain rooted in You.

If God had wanted all of us to be alike, He would not have given each of us a different set of fingerprints. I believe that fact alone proves we are created equal but different. I love this scripture; it is a constant reminder to me that I need to be called to God 1st! Let it be so in me Lord Jesus! My 1st call is to you, to YOUR Kingdom purposes at play all around me for the intent of Your Kingdom glory!

Just a short confession this morning.  One that I think, if you were to be honest with yourself, you may need to confess to also.  Once again, I have allowed my decisions to be ruled by what I see around me and neglected to entrust it to God. It is a habit of  many of God's people to limit God in our thoughts and prayers. We see a situation, examine our own ability to act, and choose to trust our own abilities or the abilities of another person.  Let's make a pledge this morning to remind ourselves daily to walk by faith and not by sight.  God help our unbelief. Oh My Gosh, I Am So There With You! I realized something though when I thought about this and that is I have been given the ability to make the right choice the 1st time because in between my moment to my next choice is where the Holy Spirit is. God is with me from moment to choice. In the center of every moment is the solution that I need for my next choice. If I pursue the goal to keep God 1st, to make my 1st calling, a calling to God 1st, then I step out from my current moment into Holy Ground, where the Holy Spirit reigns with God wisdom that sets me in the perfect flow of God's Kingdom purpose at play, and my next step is a glory glide into the perfect flow of God's Sovereign Will for me as I choose to follow the prompting of the Holy Spirit. I realize that if God is always being then, the Holy Spirit is always prompting me from every moment to every choice, I can make the right choice the 1st time. How cool is that?!!! There in the center of my every moment to my next choice is Jesus! AWE-GOD! I just have to slow down my impulsive gait so I don't step out in my human condition, but I step out into the Kingdom purposes already put in play by the Holy Spirit at the center of my life, in between every moment is my place of refuge where I align myself in holy alignment with God's Way, Truth and Life and make my right choice my next step. Am I over thinking this… probably yes… but Oh it sounds like a plan! LOL!! Have a great day!

Developing My AWE-GOD With An Attitude Of Gratitude!

2012 AWE-GOD Gratefulness! Today I want to express my gratefulness to my Father God for His healing touch on our bodies. We get sick and we recover, it is not natural, it is supernaturally built into our DNA! God was, is and always will be our healer! AWE-FATHER GOD! I am grateful!

These thoughts bombard my mind at times and they always seem to come in questions! Why is this season of life so hard for me? I can't figure out what God is up too? What is God doing? Why can't I find the God purpose in this season of my life? I can't do this!
Why does this season of life have to be so hard? Is God punishing me? I have learned not to bog my mind up by giving thought to these questions because they just evoke feelings in me that tempt me to chase them and when I do, they just weigh me down! Silence is good and truth is better! So I do both! I silence the questions with Truth! Truth: God is with me. God is for me. God's purposes are at work in the unseen for my Good. I have a great future and hope! AWE-GOD!

Thankfully, our unseen God is more than capable of dealing with our unseen enemy. When we come to a deep understanding of God's unconditional love for us, we realize He will always take care of everything that concerns us.

You don't have to be afraid of your unseen enemy. Trust in God, the only One who can defeat the spiritual forces of darkness.

As a young adult trying to live for Christ and follow the Christian lifestyle, I believed that my future would always be marred by my past. I thought, "How can anyone who has the kind of past I do ever be really all right? It's impossible!" I couldn't make any progress until I realized that God wanted to release me from the prison of my past. I had to believe that neither my past nor my present determined my future, unless I let it.
