We Are Chatting About "Rejoicing"!

Philippians 4:4

Rejoice in the Lord always [delight, gladden yourselves in Him]; again I say, Rejoice

Rejoice! Again I Say Rejoice! Twice It Was Said! Why? Why is it important for us to rejoice? Rejoice in all things?

It Takes Our Focus Off Ourselves, Puts It On God!

It Stirs Up Our Hope In God – Puts Our Expectations In The Right Place- Not In Us, But In Him

What is the amazing "key" to rejoicing in all things found in this scripture?

We Belong To God! This Is A Key Truth To Cling To - To Dig Our Roots Deeply In!

We belong to God! The ONE Who is in control of all of this! The ONE Who has got this!

Where is our focus? On Us Or On God?

Our present may not look the way we think it should, but we have an amazing future in God.

Things may not be the way you "think" they should be working out in your life, BUT GOD's Purposes are in play and all will "eventually be "Kingdom Good"

Don't Worry! Worry Trumps Our Rejoicing With A Weight That Crushes The Joy In Our Spirit!

I also think worry focuses us on ourselves, we get out of alignment with God's hope

There is a sweet, sweet promise of God for us Who rejoice!

Philippians 4: 7 Then God's peace will watch over your hearts and your minds because you belong to Christ Jesus.

Think About What Your Desert Ground Is Right Now… Then Think On This! Selah

Isaiah 35

The Lord Will Set His People Free

1 The desert and the dry ground will be glad.

The dry places will be full of joy.

Flowers will grow there.

Like the first crocus in the spring,

Have you ever been a desert or a dry ground and it seemed more than what you could bear? Were you glad? Were you full of joy? How did you get that way?

Took my focus off the hot sand, put it on my promised future in the Kingdom of God

Parched my thirst with God's Living Word

Praise! Praise lifts my eyesight off the forever desert unto the God of HOPE

2 the desert will bloom with flowers.

It will be very glad and shout with joy.

The glorious beauty of Lebanon will be given to it.

It will be as beautiful as the rich lands

of Carmel and Sharon.

How does rejoicing in our hard times benefit God and His Kingdom

My hard times, the things I am "growing through" in my personal desert are God's purposes at work in me, purposely He is trying to bloom me in the desert so others can be blessed, be drawn to HIM

Everyone will see the glory of the Lord. They will see the beauty of our God.

When we rejoice, when the joy of the Lord is all over our lives, we strengthen others!

3 Strengthen the hands of those who are weak.

Help those whose knees give way.

Our lives are so much more beautiful and attractive if we are rejoicing at all times... I truly believe this

How Is This A Picture Of Rejoicing And How Can We Learn From It How To Rejoice?

1 Chronicles 16:7-9

8 Give praise to the LORD, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done. 9 Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts. 10 Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice. 11 Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always.

I can just imagine standing in a desert and singing to God and praising HIM; what a picture that would be to others standing in the same desert, suffering from the heat and lack of water!!

Taking all our negative thoughts that come out of our deserts and flipping them to praise!

Praise! Thanksgiving! Gratefulness! These All Stir Up Our Rejoicing! Strengthen Our Joy! Bring Us Relief In Our Deserts!
