Colossians 2: 7

Have the roots [of your being] firmly and deeply planted [in Him, fixed and founded in Him], being continually built up in Him, becoming increasingly more confirmed and established in the faith, just as you were taught, and abounding and overflowing in it with thanksgiving. Amplified Bible

Good Roots = Good Fruit! By Joyce Meyer

It is important to realize that our behavior comes from somewhere. Bad behavior is like the bad fruit of a bad tree with bad roots.

You can spend your entire life dealing with outward symptoms, but the bad fruit will manifest somewhere else if the root is not eliminated. The principle never fails: rotten fruit comes from rotten roots, and good fruit comes from good roots.

To really deal with bad fruit, you must follow Paul's admonition to the Colossians to be "deeply planted" in God.

You may need to carefully examine your own roots. If they were unpleasant, harmful or abusive, don't be discouraged; you can be uprooted from that bad soil and transplanted into the good soil of Christ Jesus, so that you become rooted and grounded in Him and in His love.

Remember, uprooting can be painful. Being replanted and becoming rooted and grounded is a process that requires time and effort, but it is by faith and patience that we inherit God's promises.

My prayer for you is that you will be deeply planted and rooted in Christ, producing good fruit wherever you go!

Prayer Starter: Lord, help me to transplant my roots from bad soil and deeply plant them in Christ so that I can be a good tree with good roots, producing good fruit. I know it may be painful, but through faith and patience, I know You can help me make a change in my life. Joyce Meyer

Lord, I am so glad you kept on me to stop and not take another step until I dealt with this restlessness in me. It had a deeper root and You have shown me that my will was rooted in nostalgia for my past life. I was idol worshipping the past, my head was buried in it. You have shone Your light on this condition and now I hope to pack up my past and move forward completely Body, Soul, Will, Spirit, Mind… ALL-In With You.

Yes Lord, change me, make me into a person who waits well and finds Your divine purpose in waiting for Your Sovereign will to take shape in my life. Waiting on God is just as important as the mission or whatever you are waiting for. It is easy to slip into restlessness when we wait on God in those times we can't see ahead. Why? Because of our perspective, our perspective needs to be aligned in Holy Alignment with God. Therefore we need not to be entertaining these: doubt, what if questions, unbelief, nostalgia for the past and fear. While we are waiting our feet need to be firmly planted in Kingdom soil and we need to be fully facing our God, not looking back or fearing forward. Our perspective is balanced when our AWE in God is developed by thanksgiving. So times of waiting need to be seeded in the AWE of God by a grateful heart expressing itself verbally to God as we are deeply rooted in His Kingdom soil.

A Seasoned Servant Of God Has Encouraged Me Today

I've seen clay being fashioned into pottery on TV several times. This was my first live demo. We saw this in a place called Kumarakom by a local potter. It was much more breathtaking seeing the real thing! It took about 10 minutes to transform the ugly lump of clay into beautiful pottery - deft touches of his hand, careful molding, a flick of his wrist and the transformation was complete. Each touch made it more complete and more beautiful. I couldnt help but think of the bible verse

Isaiah 64:8 Yet, O LORD, you are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.

And the song that sprang to my mind was Potters Hand

When you get ready to confront something in your life, the devil will put "what if" questions in your mind.
People don't respect us when we run from things. They respect us when we take responsibility for our mistakes.
There are things that we bury so deep inside that they bother us and we have don't know what is wrong.
2 Samuel 12: King David had committed adultery and had her husband killed to cover it up. The bible says when Kings went to battle, David stayed home, in a passive spell, he stayed home and that is when he was tempted. If he had been where he was supposed to be…
God said David was a man after His heart…. He not only committed the sin, but for a year he ignored it. God sent Nathan to speak to David, to confront him about his sin.
I confront people because I want them to have what Jesus died to give them, to be a fruit bearing Christian.
We run from things in many different ways. We need to confront our own bad behavior, our own carnality, or own sin.
2 Samuel 12:1-7 You are the man!
We can find things wrong with everyone else while totally ignoring the issues in our own lives.
We look at what's wrong with everyone else and we stop growing.
We can't do anything about what is wrong with someone else, but we can change ourselves!
Only God can change people from the inside out. You can't do this, you can't change someone in this way.
What fleshly behavior 1 Cor 13:11 do you have in your life that you have just "gotten used to"
Unthankful… ungrateful is just as much a sin as all the other sins!
If you are going to break the speed limit when you drive, then take the Christian bumper sticker off your car!
Nothing should be any more important to us than personal integrity.
If you are not going to tell me the truth, then please just don't tell me anything.
Do you want to know God or do you want to just know what God can do for you?
Lord I need more of YOU! I am seeking Your Face, not your hand.
If you seek God's face 1^st, His hand is always open to you.
Philippians 3:8 -11 My determined purpose is that I might know Him. He wanted to know God more deeply, more intimately.
Paul knew he would have to suffer. Jesus died for our sins, but we all will have to die to self. We must die to our gossiping, to our temper and to our pride.
We don't see what we do because we are too busy looking at what others do.
Phil 3:9 be found and know in Him… not having any righteousness of my own, but only the Righteousness that He gives.
I am nothing without out God… I need a deeper revelation of how much I need God, without Him I can't, in Him, I can.
Walking in the spirit, living deeper beyond what you want, think and feel.
Here I am Lord Jesus, what can I do for YOU today. Who can I bless, encourage, compliment. Whose life will be better because I was alive and breathing.
Paul had it all: education, finances, social group… top upper echelon of religious life… and he said it was all dung… compared the privileged of knowing God, growing deeper in Him.
If you are too busy for God, you need to start working your schedule around God instead of God around your busyness.

WE run only when God tells us too. We run away from places God wants us to stay and we stay in places God wants us to run from. Flip Flop!
What does God have to say about you in His Word? This is your worth and value!
Don't ever go anywhere unless God tells you. When He says go, you go…
Genesis 12 God told Abraham to leave everything he knew and go to the place He would show him. Abraham's family were all idol worshippers and He had to get him away from them, because He had a plan for his life.
Six Ways People Run From Their Problems Part 3
I have nobody to blame but me!
There are all kinds of things we can do and the only thing God asked us not to do was sin
Gen 2:18-25 …. I will make man a helper, suitable and adaptable to him
Woman was taken from Adam's side to walk side by side.
Gen 3: 1-13
Don't ever argue with the devil, just tell him to shut up… it is written…period end of the sentence.
Genesis 3:17-19… because you have listened and given heed to the voice of your wife…
Genesis 3:11 Who told you that you were naked? The woman you gave me, she gave me the fruit and I ate it.
VS 13 The devil made me do it. Everyone had responsibility and God spoke to everyone of them..
Everyone sooner than later will be made accountable for their sins!
God you are right and I am totally wrong, there is no excuse. I have nobody to blame but me.
You are right, you were wronged, but if you give it to ME, I will make something beautiful out of it. What are you blaming for your current behavior or circumstances.
Don't spend the rest of your life in recovery, just recover! Don't make a ministry out of your ordeal.
Numbers 21:4-9
The people got depressed, discouraged because of their trials and they spoke against God, complained about everything… God sent fiery serpents and many died.
The beginning of freedom is to stop blaming someone else and take responsibility for your behavior.
Fear keeps us from confronting.. How do you make fear go away and replace it with faith. If I just did not have this fear. Fear will not completely go away, God is not asking us to not feel fear, but "grow" forward when we have fear. Fear not, I am with you! Fear is the master spirit that satan uses to try to control people. The enemy has entrance to our lives through fear. So do it afraid. We can feel fear, but we don't have to have it control us. I don't care how I "feel" I am going to do what God has asked me to do.
Don't blame God, He is not like people. People hurt people, they are used by satan. God helps you "grow through" things.

Stay away from people who serve only themselves.
Be wise about what is good, have nothing to do with evil.

Jesus felt great compassion for the crowds Matthew 14:14 Jesus was moved to compassion and healed them. Jesus took a small amount of bread and fish and fed thousands 15:32 I have compassion for these people, they have been with me three days and have had nothing to eat. Compassion moved the heart of Jesus. To The Pharisees and Sadducees Jesus tone was different, he spoke harshly. Honor me with your lips and your heart is far from me, blind leaders of the blind… to His disciples, his tone was different. He was open, transparent and genuinely affectionate. He did not keep secrets from the disciples, He told them about the future, He allowed them to witness His transfiguration on the Mount of Olives. Jesus is speaking loud and clear to us, we must come to God innocent and humble like a child. Whoever humbles himself as a little child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven. Jesus was who He said He was. Come to Jesus not with our hearts filled with condemnation and judgement but with Grace and forgiveness. When you come to God humbled as a child and in humility you represent Him, Jesus will feed you and heal you. Is there someone in your life you have not been compassionate too, someone you have been ungracious, someone you still need to forgive.

To be completely God's is not a step out, it is a step down, bowing before AWE-GOD. Humility is the common denominator to the child like faith I desire. It is this work of humility that I have to surrender myself to. Salvation is not truly salvation without sacrifice and sacrifice is only religiosity if not rendered without humility. The sacrifice of our salvation is genuine and powerful when stepped out with an undivided heart of humility. Humility is the attitude of a heart whose reverence for God has been developed in AWE of God. The measure of your AWE-GOD is in direct proportion to the humility that your soul is saturated in and this has an amazing affect on the attitude of faith your spirit steps out in action with. Jesus is worthy, I am not… Jesus is held high, my esteem of myself is low. I don't esteem myself higher than anyone else. I need Jesus more every day, I need Jesus most. I bow before Jesus in humble-reverent-awe and I completely submit myself to Him!
