Hebrews 12:1-3

God's peace truly thrives in a soul that is unencumbered with the unecessary weights of: Self pursuit- Self adoration-Self righteousness-Self pity - selfishness and the list of our human condition of ALL THINGS SELF goes on and on! All these things produce in us a love of self which is idolatry, a sin against our God. Clinging to ALL THINGS SELF is exhausting and it steals our peace, encumbers our soul, destroys our humility and completely depletes our joy. When we are entangled with self wants and driven by self-willed selfishness, we have no peace to endure the trials of this life and the lack of joy parches our strength. How can we run a race for God when we are so encumbered in the pursuit of ALL THINGS SELF? Selfishness is definitely not a set apart - appointed God-course! Believing in Jesus and pursuing Him in complete followship will make us a finisher in Christ, a Christ Champion! We can endure all things and finish excellently in God's Joy when we let go of ALL THINGS SELF that encumbers us and grasp, cling to Jesus in complete obedience of His Will for us. Obedience will cause us to run our life course ALL IN FOR GOD, paced with His Kingdom Purposes and running steadfastly with His endurance the race set before us by Him. Jesus endured because He was obedient to the Father's Sovereign Will for Him. We can be found in God endurance and persevere through all things! All things are possible in Christ Jesus! As we run the course of our life-race, we can fully achieve the Kingdom Purposes we have been destined to complete as we keep our 1st call and our pursuits of this life, in Holy Alignment with our prize, Jesus Christ. Besides, when we are not so focused on ALL THINGS SELF, we might even remember to look up and be encouraged by the crowds of witnesses that are overlooking heaven and cheering us on! GO! GROW! YEAH GOD!

Jesus strengthen Cathy C and be with her daughter and her four kids, be their provision, their Way-Maker. Bring her daughter into fellowship with YOU Jesus, draw her to YOU and establish her in Your Body of Christ to find the support she needs. Jesus so be it.
Father God help Lee Bier to grow through this season of his life, to cling tighter to You, dig his roots deeper in your love, be the all of His everything, the strength of his faith and courage. Jesus.

Strange enough this regulation appears, yet there was wisdom in it, for the throwing out of the disease proved that the constitution was sound. This morning it may be well for us to see the typical teaching of so singular a rule. We, too, are lepers, and may read the law of the leper as applicable to ourselves. When a man sees himself to be altogether lost and ruined, covered all over with the defilement of sin, and no part free from pollution; when he disclaims all righteousness of his own, and pleads guilty before the Lord, then is he clean through the blood of Jesus, and the grace of God. Hidden, unfelt, unconfessed iniquity is the true leprosy, but when sin is seen and felt it has received its death blow, and the Lord looks with eyes of mercy upon the soul afflicted with it. Nothing is more deadly than self-righteousness, or more hopeful than contrition. We must confess that we are "nothing else but sin," for no confession short of this will be the whole truth, and if the Holy Spirit be at work with us, convincing us of sin, there will be no difficulty about making such an acknowledgment--it will spring spontaneously from our lips. What comfort does the text afford to those under a deep sense of sin! Sin mourned and confessed, however black and foul, shall never shut a man out from the Lord Jesus. Whosoever cometh unto him, he will in no wise cast out. Though dishonest as the thief, though unchaste as the woman who was a sinner, though fierce as Saul of Tarsus, though cruel as Manasseh, though rebellious as the prodigal, the great heart of love will look upon the man who feels himself to have no soundness in him, and will pronounce him clean, when he trusts in Jesus crucified. My Thoughts About This:
I understand that we are sinners, but sometimes I think we dwell on this too much, I think we should think more that we were Sauls and now we are Pauls. Because we are sinners, doesn't give us a license to sin, it compels us to live in the excellence of Jesus. In the strength of Jesus, connected to Him heart to heart, we can make the right choices in our lives. Help me Jesus to make the right choice the 1st time, because this is the power of Your righteousness.
Charles Haddon Spurgeon said meekness is being submissive to God's will and responsive to His Word. When He directs you to do something, He will tell you the manner in which to do it. If His will requires gentleness, He will help you to be tender. If it requires boldness, His power will surge through you to accomplish what He asks.

Thoughts from listening to John Chapter 3:
God was with Jesus and it was seen by the miraculous signs. No one can see the Kingdom of God unless he is born again. No one can enter the Kingdom of God unless He is born of water and the spirit. The spirit of God gives birth to our spirits. We speak of what we know and what we have seen. You must believe when Jesus speaks of heavenly things. Jesus was lifted up so that everyone believes in Him will have eternal life. God loved us so much that He gave Jesus for our righteousness. God sent His Son to save the world through Him. If you do not believe in God's Son, Jesus, you stand condemned. Evil people hate the Light of God, it exposes their sin. Arguments over things we don't agree on is really silly, we agree on Jesus Christ and this has to be enough. The Bride belongs to the bridegroom and when He listens to the Bridegroom, He is full of Joy. The Bridegroom must become greater and I must become less. The one Who comes from heaven is above all, He shares His Truth, Accept it and certify that God is truthful. God gives the spirit without limit. The Father God has placed everything in Jesus' hand, if you believe in Him you will have eternal life. If you believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, you will have eternal life. It is your destiny. Just believe-receive Jesus!

Thur Sept. 29th 2011 My Thoughts: From The Bridegroom's Voice Week 3 on Peace
- Self driven is a place that is truly out of the position of Holy Alignment with God.
- Nothing good can come from being self-driven, nothing temporary remains from a self-driven man
- The love of God is what should compel us from moment to choice, not the idolatry of the self driven
- Self-Driven is a word that in itself derives a sense of being frustrated. True inner peace comes from being led by God.
- There can't be any God peace when we idolatrize anything, because there is no life in the subject of our idolatry.
- God's peace comes from His infinite being, His life. He lives. Whereas idols are not alive for the long run, therefore the peace you find in idolatry is not validated by eternal life, it is short lived
- Idolatry will dead end in disappointment every time. It does not have an object that can retain the peace-power-provision of our Infinite God.
- Is there any such thing as human clout? No! It has no eternal value, it does not stand the tests-trials of God
- Clout-Influence-Power all one in the same and people idolize it, seek after it only to find there is no gain that can be kept or even measure up to the Authority and Power of Jesus Christ.
- Human Clout may make you king of the mountain, but you will fall and all that was ill gained will be lost.
- How can you have peace when you are seeking after human clout, an elusive position of authority you can't hold?

My Thoughts About This Verse:
- Peace truly thrives in a soul that is unencumbered by idols.
- Unnecessary weights: Self pursuit – Self righteousness – Self Indulgence – Self Pity all things SELF!
- Love of self is idolatry and it is a totally unnecessary weight that keeps us from God's peace
- Clinging to all things SELF is exhausting and it steals our inner peace, destroys our humility and depletes our joy.
- When we are entangled with self wants and driven by self willed selfishness we have no peace to endure the trials of this life. We are to be compelled by the love of Jesus Christ, not driven by the love of self.
- How can you run for God when you are so encumbered with SELF. Selfishness definitely is not our appointed GOD-course.
- Jesus is our peace and He is the 1st incentive of our every course in this life that sets us up in His peace.
- Believing in Jesus, pursuing Him in followship brings us to maturity in the fullness of His peace
- Perfection can't even be hoped for if we do not walk in the peace of God. Without peace there is no endurance, there is no patience and we can't even begin to hope for perfection without the latter.
- Jesus endured because He was obedient to His Father's will and in this obedience He found great peace, joy and strength
Philippians 2:3-11
Do nothing from factional motives [through contentiousness, strife, selfishness, or for unworthy ends] or prompted by conceit and empty arrogance. Instead, in the true spirit of humility (lowliness of mind) let each regard the others as better than and superior to himself [thinking more highly of one another than you do of yourselves].4 Let each of you esteem and look upon and be concerned for not [merely] his own interests, but also each for the interests of others.5 Let this same attitude and purpose and [humble] mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus: [Let Him be your example in humility:]6 Who, although being essentially one with God and in the form of God [possessing the fullness of the attributes which make God God], did not think this equality with God was a thing to be eagerly grasped or retained,7 But stripped Himself [of all privileges and rightful dignity], so as to assume the guise of a servant (slave), in that He became like men and was born a human being.8 And after He had appeared in human form, He abased and humbled Himself [still further] and carried His obedience to the extreme of death, even the death of the cross!9 Therefore [because He stooped so low] God has highly exalted Him and has freely bestowed on Him the name that is above every name,10 That in (at) the name of Jesus every knee should (must) bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,11 And every tongue [frankly and openly] confess and acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
My Thoughts About This Verse:
- Our heart motives are really important when we are in pursuit of keeping our inner peace.
- What sets the attitude of our motives? Selfishness can and that would make a really sour motive, even if it is a sweet deed.
- Pride sets the attitude of our motives and can make a good deed a sour taste in God's mouth.
- My motive needs to be as godly and pure as the deed it is pressing forward.
- Goodness is not complete in a good deed alone, it must be preceded with a Godly motive.
- Humility is a path of peace and it takes its first step in the opposite direction from personal rights toward Kingdom purpose.
- Walking in humility, being more concerned for others than for yourself brings about in you a peace that surpasses all self sacrifice
- Investing humility, sacrificing your rights for the best of another is investing in your inner peace as well as God's Kingdom.
- If I have no inner peace even though I am doing something good, I need to check my heart attitude and my motives.
- My heart attitude directly aligns my motives in or out of Holy Alliance with God's Kingdom Purposes and His peace.
- My 1st call is always to Jesus Christ, I am not a champion of a cause or of a personal right, I am humbly, submissively and obediently called to Jesus Christ, His Way, His Truth, His Love, His Live 1st! When I stay within this parameter, being positioned in Jesus 1st, my 1st call to Him, then I will have His peace and His purposes very active in my life.
Psalm 89:20-27
I have found David My servant; with My holy oil have I anointed him, 21 With whom My hand shall be established and ever abide; My arm also shall strengthen him.22 The enemy shall not exact from him or do him violence or outwit him, nor shall the wicked afflict and humble him.23 I will beat down his foes before his face and smite those who hate him.24 My faithfulness and My mercy and loving-kindness shall be with him, and in My name shall his horn be exalted [great power and prosperity shall be conferred upon him].25 I will set his hand in control also on the [Mediterranean] Sea, and his right hand on the rivers [Euphrates with its tributaries].26 He shall cry to Me, You are my Father, my God, and the Rock of my salvation!27 Also I will make him the firstborn, the highest of the kings of the earth.
My Thoughts About This Verse:
- The anointing of the Holy Spirit in my life yields great things and awesome peace
- God is with me, His faithfulness carries me and in this there is great peace
- God's favor is amazing and I know that where there God's peace is, His favor has gone before it.
- God sets His mighty right hand upon us, He positions us in the best of His Kingdom and gives us peace.

When I am looking down with a self-righteous attitude at a Christian who made a mistake, then speaking the truth to them has no power of God's love with it and will not yield His peace. It is a good thing to speak the truth in a situation where a lie has been exchanged and a sin committed. Yet, my motive for doing so needs to be as Godly and pure as the deed of pressing God's truth forward to free someone from lies. Godly goodness is not complete in a good deed alone; it must be preceded by a Godly heart motive. When spiritual pride and self-righteousness set the attitude of my motive, it can make a good deed of speaking the truth, a sour taste in God's mouth. Being a peacemaker where a lie acted out has stolen the truth and wreaked havoc in a situation, requires a God-like humility, a reflection of Jesus' heart. Humility is the path of God's peace and it takes its first step in the opposite direction from personal rights. The first step of humility is toward Kingdom Purpose, and is always being more concerned for others than yourself and brings about a harmony vested in self sacrifice of personal rights, and a lasting, enduring peace. My heart attitude directly aligns my motives in or out of Holy Alliance with God's Kingdom Purposes and Peace. If I have no inner peace, even when I am doing something good, I need to check my heart attitude and my motives and make sure that they reflect the same attitude, the same heart motive that Jesus Christ had when He took on all of my sin and died in my place. My 1st call is always to Jesus Christ, I am not a champion of a cause or of my personal rights, I am humbly-submissively-obediently called to Jesus Christ, His Way-His Truth-His Love-His Life 1st!
