AWE- ALMIGHTY GOD!
Make My Life Excellent In You-Constant In Your Courage
I am forever grateful to You, Heavenly Father and it is with Thanksgiving that I Kimberly Ann McCarthy step into this day shod with the shoes of gratitude that walk me into the Presence of Jesus with an undivided heart of timeless praise from now unto forever.
Psalm 46
GOD IS our Refuge and Strength [mighty and impenetrable to temptation], a very present and well-proved help in trouble. 2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change and though the mountains be shaken into the midst of the seas, 3 Though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling and tumult. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!

Blessings Precious Family!
Precious Family,
This morning I am reminded how short our lives are. Today is the day, God has given us, I pray we love each other well, I pray we bear with one another and live this day in the most excellent way we can by the strength, grace and power of our precious Jesus Christ. Let's encourage, pray for and love each other well this week my precious family. There is so much tragedy in our world right now, all around us people are dealing with more than they could imagine possible. This like no other time in history is a time for us to develop community and not isolate ourselves from one another. We need our God, we need one another. So pray for each other this week precious children and call, email, facebook, whatever it takes for us to encourage each other, let's do it. Love each other in your homes, in your family, neighborhood, workplace and in your community, love each other well through the compassion of God's heart. Where God has placed you, is where His legacy of love should remain as your living legacy, so be His this week, be His love!
I sense God wants us to learn to cling harder to Him, dig our roots deeper in His Kingdom during this season of our lives where we do experience the suffering of in our lives and our world all around us. Sudden tragedy seems to be the hardest to bear, especially when you can't even begin to wrap your mind around it. Tragedy never makes sense – Truth does – Hope does – God's promise does. Sometimes when tragedy strikes those close to us or even us, our heart fails and we cry out to God: Why God? We begin thinking and over thinking and trying to make rational sense out of something we were not created to understand. There are times in this life, we may not get an answer that satisfies our human understanding, there are places in God's Sovereignty, that we are not meant to go. There are times when the answer may only be: God is Sovereign! It is during these times that we cling to God, to the all of the everything that we know Him to be.
4 There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the Most High. 5 God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God will help her right early [at the dawn of the morning]. 6 The nations raged, the kingdoms tottered and were moved; He uttered His voice, the earth melted. 7 The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our Refuge (our Fortress and High Tower). Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!

When we yield our questions to His Sovereignty, we bow before Him and we grieve and cry out of the pain of human tragedy, it is in this willessness of our frail humanity, that Jesus gives us an unyielding, impenetrable strength and peace. I hope this for us precious family!
Psalm 29:11
The Lord will give [unyielding and impenetrable] strength to His people; the Lord will bless His people with peace.

There are times in this life that are so hard, that we feel we can't bear them without knowing something to make sense out of it. We are striving so hard at times to understand. We ask, and God does not answer. So what then? God is the solution. He knows the answer, He see's all and His
Sovereign silence protects us from our human inability. God tells us what we can handle, He keeps things from us to protect us and to bring forth the fullness of His Kingdom purposes at the best timing for our growth in Him. God is always being, He knows our pain, He is with us. God is always working out His purposes in the unseen and when He is ready and we are ready for Him to reveal them, we will miraculously step right into His Kingdom Flow. So wait on God, precious family, silently submit to Him!
Psalm 62:5-8
My soul, wait only upon God and silently submit to Him; for my hope and expectation are from Him. 6 He only is my Rock and my Salvation; He is my Defense and my Fortress, I shall not be moved. 7With God rests my salvation and my glory; He is my Rock of unyielding strength and impenetrable hardness, and my refuge is in God! 8 Trust in, lean on, rely on, and have confidence in Him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts before Him. God is a refuge for us (a fortress and a high tower). Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!

When life hits you hard and a suddenly sweeps your soul right off its feet and you feel you don't have the strength to stand back up, your emotions are broken, your will to do what is right is shut down and your spirit is underneath the circumstances, remember that God has commanded your strength. Omnipresent Reality Check! God is with you. God's Got This! He will take you at the place of your human condition and He will strengthen you with His might, power, purpose, provision, peace and promise. No doubt about it! He will!
Psalm 68:28
Your God has commanded your strength [your might in His service and impenetrable hardness to temptation]; O God, display Your might and strengthen what You have wrought for us!

When you feel like a sudden tragedy is more than what you can bear, that your emotions are all over the place and you can't settle down, turn and fully face YOUR GOD! Stand in His Presence, let HIM saturate your soul with HIS HOPE! You can be anchored in the position of His Grace and "grow" through every situation God allows to touch your life. Family, we are anchored in a sure hope, our faith will stand. I pray this for us today precious family, that we (Bob, Kim, Brad, Bonnie, Kiele, Ry, Chris, Summer, Noah, BabyM, Kenneth, Tina, Baby D) will have a sure and steadfast anchor for our soul, Jesus Christ! So Be It! AMEN!
Hebrews 6:18-20
This was so that, by two unchangeable things [His promise and His oath] in which it is impossible for God ever to prove false or deceive us, we who have fled [to Him] for refuge might have mighty indwelling strength and strong encouragement to grasp and hold fast the hope appointed for us and set before [us]. 19[Now] we have this [hope] as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul [it cannot slip and it cannot [a]break down under whoever steps out upon it--a hope] that reaches [b]farther and enters into [the very certainty of the Presence] within the veil, 20 Where Jesus has entered in for us [in advance], a Forerunner having become a High Priest forever after the order (with [c]the rank) of Melchizedek.

Psalm 27
The LORD is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life—
of whom shall I be afraid? 2 When the wicked advance against me to devour[a] me, it is my enemies and my foes who will stumble and fall. 3 Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then I will be confident. 4 One thing I ask from the LORD, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple. 5 For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent and set me high upon a rock. 6 Then my head will be exalted above the enemies who surround me; at his sacred tent I will sacrifice with shouts of joy; I will sing and make music to the LORD. 7 Hear my voice when I call, LORD; be merciful to me and answer me. 8 My heart says of you, "Seek his face!" Your face, LORD, I will seek. 9 Do not hide your face from me, do not turn your servant away in anger; you have been my helper. Do not reject me or forsake me, God my Savior. 10 Though my father and mother forsake me, the LORD will receive me. 11 Teach me your way, LORD; lead me in a straight path because of my oppressors.
12 Do not turn me over to the desire of my foes, for false witnesses rise up against me, spouting malicious accusations. 13 I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. 14 Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.

"The liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free."
Galatians 5:1
This "liberty" makes us free to heaven's charter--the Bible. Here is a choice passage, believer, "When thou passest through the rivers, I will be with thee." You are free to that. Here is another: "The mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed, but my kindness shall not depart from thee"; you are free to that. You are a welcome guest at the table of the promises. Scripture is a never-failing treasury filled with boundless stores of grace. It is the bank of heaven; you may draw from it as much as you please, without let or hindrance. Come in faith and you are welcome to all covenant blessings. There is not a promise in the Word which shall be withheld. In the depths of tribulations let this freedom comfort you; amidst waves of distress let it cheer you; when sorrows surround thee let it be thy solace. This is thy Father's love-token; thou art free to it at all times. Thou art also free to the throne of grace. It is the believer's privilege to have access at all times to his heavenly Father. Whatever our desires, our difficulties, our wants, we are at liberty to spread all before him. It matters not how much we may have sinned, we may ask and expect pardon. It signifies nothing how poor we are, we may plead his promise that he will provide all things needful. We have permission to approach his throne at all times--in midnight's darkest hour, or in noontide's most burning heat. Exercise thy right, O believer, and live up to thy privilege. Thou art free to all that is treasured up in Christ--wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption. It matters not what thy need is, for there is fulness of supply in Christ, and it is there for thee. O what a "freedom" is thine! freedom from condemnation, freedom to the promises, freedom to the throne of grace, and at last freedom to enter heaven!

Ephesians 2:1-3 "And you were dead in the trespasses and sins in which you
once walked, following the course of this world, following the
prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in
the sons of disobedience—among whom we all once lived in the
passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the
mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of
mankind." (ESV)
God's Wrath! Doesn't mean people are without value, if they weren't God would not have sent His Son to die for them.
Our "Before" Picture: DEAD, Disobedient,
Depraved and Doomed
I loved what Pastor Todd said about me being a person God values and how He valued me so much He sent His Son to die for me. That set well with my soul because my human condition comes with an independent- impulsive nature. That was my Before picture, and God gave me a Rhema life lesson in Isaiah 50, showing me that I was kindling my own fire, walking in my independence, by the light of a man made fire and as long as I did that, I would lay down in torment. My emotions were tormented for years by my independent nature, until God changed me and now My After picture is this…. And Oh, it comes with incredible peace!

Verse Of The Day@biblegateway.com
"Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen." Ephesians 4:29 NIV
Notes From Listening To Ephesians 4
Prisoner for the law, be humble patient bear with one another in love… there is one body, one spirit, one hope, one Lord faith baptism…. Over all through all in all… Grace has been given to each one of us, gifts to men…. He ascended because He descended… He filled the whole universe… He gave some to be evangelist, pastors, teachers so the body of Christ may be built up, become mature attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ no longer to be tossed to and fro from the wind of teaching, speak the truth in love we will all grow up, from Him the whole body is held together an built up in love as each part does it work. No longer live as the gentiles do in the futility of their thinking to the hardness of hearts… loosing all sensitivity to God they give themselves over to immorality with a full lust for more… we are taught to put off old self corrupted by deceitful desires, made new in the attitude of your mind, created to be like God in righteousness and holiness, put off lies speak truthfully do not sin, do not let the sun go down while you are angry and do not give the devil a foothold, do not let any unwholesome talk go out of our mouth, do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God… get rid of slander, malice be kind and compassionate to each other, forgiving each other just as in Christ, God forgave you.
My Thoughts About This:
If you want to be enslaved by something, then make sure it is the truth and not sin. I would much rather be enslaved to truth than to sin. We human beings always find a way to be enslaved, it is silly because Jesus died to make us free. Yet our enemy is always trying to enslave us in some kind of sin, rule or regulation that is outside of relationship with God. Anger is always a trip up for me, especially if it is about my "rights". If someone accuses me of something I have not done or of an attitude that is not in my heart, this is a real stumbling block that can turn into a self righteous attitude, I always need to guard my heart from this. As far as loosing sensitivity to God, I think we all are capable of doing that and it does lead to some pretty radical places that you could never imagine yourself going. A God-Consciousness is a huge thing, it is so important to me to continuously be doing Omnipresent Reality Checks, yes God is with me, yes I am still positioned in a Holy Alliance with Him, Aligned in Right Living, Right Attitudes, Right Thoughts…
When a team or team member has no opportunity to rest, they soon lose their ability to maintain motivation and momentum stalls. Good leaders learn when to push to excel and when to push to relax. This may be different for various team members, but everyone needs to pause occasionally to re-energize. Quote By Ron Edmonson

Joshua 1:8 ~ The Message Bible
Don't get off track, either left or right, so as to make sure you get to where you're going. And don't for a minute let this Book of The Revelation be out of mind. Ponder and meditate on it day and night, making sure you practice everything written in it. Then you'll get where you're going; then you'll succeed. Haven't I commanded you? Strength! Courage! Don't be timid; don't get discouraged. God, your God, is with you every step you take."
My Thoughts About This:
Lord that is all I can hope for, that You will be with me from each moment to every choice I make. Help me to turn to You, to Fully Face YOU in the all of my everything. Jesus! Philemon 1:4-7
4 I always thank my God when I mention you in my prayers,
5 because I hear of your love and faith toward the Lord Jesus and for all the saints.
6 I pray that your participation in the faith may become effective through knowing every good thing that is in us for the glory of Christ.
7 For I have great joy and encouragement from your love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through you, brother.
Dear Bob and Kim,
Welcome to my daily (almost) devotional. I hope you are blessed by these morning devotionals. I suppose the reason God wakes me up so early and gives me these thoughts is to help you (and myself) just as he did for the Apostle Paul. Paul, in this letter to Philemon, has great confidence in what God has done and is doing through the ministry in which he has been called. Can't you feel the boldness he has in telling Philemon of his prayer that Philemon "will become effective through knowing every good thing that is in 'US'."? He is speaking of himself and the disciples he has trained. It also applies to us today. Paul's confidence was not in his own ability, but in the LORD Jesus Christ, and that hasn't changed for us today, either.
What is the main point of the scripture today?
In verse 4, it is the prayer of thanksgiving for Philemon.
Verse 5 is about Philemon's reputation for love and faith.
Verse 6 is about Paul's prayers for Philemon's effective use of what has been given to him for the glory of the LORD.
Lastly, in verse 7,Paul receives great joy and encouragement as his disciple puts into practice what he has been taught.
The Apostle John makes a similar statement to Gaius in 3 John 1:4, "I have no greater joy than this: to hear that my children are walking in the truth."
The main point of today's devotional is this: there is great joy in witnessing the results of all those days and hours of prayer and training that we invest in others. As a pastor, I can now really understand how Paul felt.
In whom are you investing today? God grants us knowledge, skills and disciplines that we ought to pass on to others so that HIS Kingdom will flourish and grow. Are you fulfilling your calling as a Christian to invest in others?
I can tell you from my own personal experience, there is no greater joy than this: "to hear my children (my flock) are walking in the truth". Pastor Elliott

Conflict
If you work with people you have conflict. The good news is about people and the bad news is about people. There is the good and there is the bad, there is the ugly, the dysfunction in people. There are no two good consecutive days in a leaders life because you are leading people and there will always be conflict. We can't get rid of conflict no matter how hard we try or how good we treat people. Embrace conflict, take it as a challenge. Conflict will always be with leaders, take it as a challenge, you will never be rid of conflict. There is always conflict, people are messy. Embrace conflict as a challenge, take the conflicted and help them find peace. Take parties in conflict and help them find compromise. Conflict is always with us take it as a challenge, you don't get rid of conflict, you just help people through it.
My Thoughts About This:
Thank you that was so good. I guess I am not really good with conflict, I want to run from it, I usually do not face it head on. I too strive really hard to keep conflict out of my relationships, but now I see I was wrong in that. I get it! I can't believe after all these years it was that simple, just embrace it. Don't' run from it, that is very tiring and don't try to fix everyone, that was very frustrating and impossible and lead to a lot of personal disappointment. Embrace conflict. I like it! Conflict is a challenge I will be embracing it from now on.
Worthy News Brief @worthyemail.com
Kimberly, you're at war
2 Corinthians 10:3-6 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
As the threat of war looms on the horizon in Israel, I'm all the more reminded that we in the Body of Messiah are already at war spiritually. Constantly contending in our minds, we battle over thoughts and emotions which flow through them. The enemy often attacks by bringing up issues from our past. Failures, regrets, wounds, and traumas all have the potential to drag us down into doubt, darkness and despair. Our tremendous challenge is not to respond to these memories with old destructive thought patterns. Our victory lies in responding to these thoughts and feelings with the mind of Messiah as new creations in Him.
While we don't necessarily ignore thoughts and feelings from the past, it is vital that we don't allow them to control our souls and emotions, but that we take them captive through prayers and declarations inspired by our spiritual mind. For example, is the enemy speaking rejection to me causing me to feel unwanted and unloved? I will respond that I am ACCEPTED IN THE BELOVED and that the Lord has shown His love to me in many ways by His spirit and through His Body.
A powerful illustration from the Old Testament is the Lord's forbidding the levitical priests from entering His Presence if they had touched any dead thing. This is a lesson for us – leave the old, dead mindset behind, the ways that you used to respond to things in the past– instead, enter the Holy of Holies and commune with your Lord!
Kimberly, the battle over past issues is won when the Mind of Messiah in us takes authority over their meaning, purpose and definition in our lives With Yeshua (Jesus) on the throne of our hearts and minds, everything in our past is brought under His authority and works together for our good!
Your family in the Lord with much agape love,

***************Day FIVE… #5 Of Week Three ********************
Mon. Sept. 19th 201 1 My Thoughts: From The Bridegroom's Voice Week 3
- Inner peace lasts when it rests on a foundation of God's Word
- God's Word endures, it lasts from the beginning of my trial and keeps on giving as I "grow through" the season at hand.
- God's Truth endures through everything we "grow through" and shapes in us God like characteristics
- Say-so is sullied by culturalism in our generation and I don't want the misinformation of worldly Say-so and the chaos it brings. I want God's peace!
- The Truth sets us free from every form of misinformation by keeping what is true up front and center in our minds.
- It is so easy to stumble over misinformation when we are not in the Word. God's truth sifts out deceit and gives peace.
- I pursue God's peace more than I do mediatic misinformation. I read the Word 1st and soak my soul in its precepts; in this there is peace!
Romans 12:1-5
I APPEAL to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship. 2 Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you]. 3 For by the grace (unmerited favor of God) given to me I warn everyone among you not to estimate and think of himself more highly than he ought [not to have an exaggerated opinion of his own importance], but to rate his ability with sober judgment, each according to the degree of faith apportioned by God to him. 4 For as in one physical body we have many parts (organs, members) and all of these parts do not have the same function or use, 5 So we, numerous as we are, are one body in Christ (the Messiah) and individually we are parts one of another mutually dependent on one another].

My Thoughts About This Verse:
- My mind yielded over to God brings great peace to my soul. Yet in yielding my mind, I also have to choose what I listen to. What goes in, comes out in attitude, thought and action.
- Culturalism has a great affect on all of our minds. Mass media attempts to soak us in their way of thinking and doing. This can conform our minds if we take in too much and it can steal our peace.
- Read the word more than I take in the world's superficial media. Dig deeper with God and renew my mind with His Word, His Truth, this is what I need to be doing, so I can be found in His peace.
- Pride is a huge peace stealer, because it is so exhausting to hold it up and so frustrating to battle with it. Humility brings with it a sweet God-peace that can't be shaken, will by damaged cultural emotions.
- God's peace stays stable in every situation because it is propped up by His Grace and positioned in His Truth
- Peace comes from fellowship with one another, where we come in contact with the gifts of God that we each have been given so liberally by our AWE-GOD!
Psalm 85:7-12
Show us Your mercy and loving-kindness, O Lord, and grant us Your salvation.8 I will listen [with expectancy] to what God the Lord will say, for He will speak peace to His people, to His saints (those who are in right standing with Him)--but let them not turn again to [self-confident] folly.9 Surely His salvation is near to those who reverently and worshipfully fear Him, [and is ready to be appropriated] that [the manifest presence of God, His] glory may tabernacle and abide in our land.10 Mercy and loving-kindness and truth have met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.11 Truth shall spring up from the earth, and righteousness shall look down from heaven.12 Yes, the Lord will give what is good, and our land will yield its increase.
Amplified Bible
My Thoughts About This Verse:
- I think expectancy has a lot to do with our inner peace! Is it an expectancy that is fed by dread or is it an expectancy that is paid forward with hope and by God's promises.
- Of course there is a self confidence that is driven by pride and I don't think that ends up with a person being peaceful.
- Self confident folly is surely not a reasonable path to inner peace, but more often than not it leads to frustration and failure.
- Mercy, Lovingkindness and truth! That is a combination that will certainly yield inner peace.
- Right choices will always have an endgame of peace and the kiss of peace on our souls is always preceded by Righteousness.
- When righteousness and peace embrace, this is where you will find a consistent and thriving intimate relationship with God
My Bride, the inner peace you seek, it is in My Words, by My Spirit! I AM the only message that has endured for 2000 years!
Listen to My epistle and shut out the sullied clamor of say-so that bombards your spirit with misinformation!
Yielding my mind over to God brings great peace. Yielding has actions of right choices. In every moment to every choice, I must be aware of what I am subjecting my mind to. What am I listening to? Culturalism has a great affect on our way of thinking and it trickles down to our attitudes and actions. Too much of our cultural excesses and self indulgent messages can make us harried with the chaos that keeping up with excess and self indulgence can bring into our lives and it steals our peace. The Word will keep me in Holy Alignment with God's Spirit and Truth. It is the Word of God that I need to shape my attitudes, therefore my actions will be a living legacy of the character of Jesus Christ. What is my mind yielded to? Yes it matters! Infinitely so!
Expectancy is tied to our inner peace in ways we fail to realize. Is my expectancy fed by dread or is it an expectancy that is paid forward with hope, by God's Promises? Is my expectancy played out by my own self confidence that is pride driven? I am thinking the only place this kind of expectancy will drive me is to chaos and frustration. Expectancy wrongly placed in my self confidence is a folly that is not a very reasonable path to inner peace, but more often leads to disappointed failure. God's Mercy-Lovingkindness-Truth, now this is a trio that will truly fire up my expectancy and direct it straight forward with an endgame of faithful peace. I am thinking that right choices, inspired moment to choice, by an expectancy in God, is likened to a kiss of peace on our soul. Truly when righteousness and peace embrace, this is an intersection of life where you will find a consistent, thriving, intimate relationship with AWE-GOD!
