AWE- ALMIGHTY GOD!

Make My Life Excellent In You-Constant In Your Courage

I Kimberly Ann McCarthy will not participate in the ease and excess of my culture today, I will simply-significantly be completely Yours, being found on the path of Your Kingdom purposes at play all around me, therefore, stepping out in this day with an eternal edge keeps the sacrifice in salvation and makes a forever difference!

Jeremiah 32: 38-41

And they will be My people, and I will be their God. 39 And I will give them one heart and one way, that they may [reverently] fear Me forever for the good of themselves and of their children after them. 40 And I will make an everlasting covenant with them: I will not turn away from following them to do them good, and I will put My [reverential] fear in their hearts, so that they will not depart from Me. 41 Yes, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly and in truth with My whole heart and with My whole being.

My Thoughts About This:

What an amazing AWE-GOD promise!  I am overwhelmed by God's excellence. Infinitely So!  I love how everything God is and is being in us and for us is done in an everlasting way. There is nothing half done, temporary or disposable about our AWE-GOD! Our Way-Maker makes a way for us and it is a way of magnificent superiority!  What blesses me the most about this verse is all God is in His Mighty Being and He still makes room in the Omnipotence of His life purposes to rejoice over us. This touches my soul in AWE and overwhelms my understanding in reverence of Him. Our God does nothing in part, He sees everything in whole and we can be assured that He does everything for us with an excellence that we could not even begin to imagine or hope for. There is no one like our AWE-GOD, there is nothing in this world as excellent as His Works, Ways, Word and Love! Thank you Father GOD!

My second thought as I read this scripture is: God does nothing in part! God sees nothing in part! God finishes everything He starts with excellence! Today in the LIGHT of this scripture I stand in AWE of God's wholeness. Nothing is complete or whole in my part of the world I live in, most everything is excessively temporary and dysfunctional in part. Nothing completely satisfies my self-indulgent human nature, a human condition wrapped up in a cultural discontentment where enough is never wholly complete. Unless... yes there is a flip-flop side to my life... unless I find my way to the feet of Jesus, bowing before Him in reverent-respect and submissive-willess-surrender. Jesus is our wholeness, in Him there is complete satisfaction. Jesus is the only wholeness that can shape my human nature into Kingdom design. I am whole in Jesus Christ and Jesus has made a way for me to be set in a permanent position, in the flow of His Kingdom purposes as I walk in the wholeness of His Sovereign Will. He will be my God and He will give me wholeness of heart, way, truth, covenant in the WHOLENESS of His Being. AWE-GOD!

God Change Me! It is "grow up" time in the Body of Christ! Face your Goliath! Joyce Meyer

Blessed is he who endures from tragedy to perseverance.

Learn to pray before the temptation comes that you will recognize it and not go with it. Joyce Meyer

Endurance is outlasting the devil like Jesus did. Jesus make us like You this day! Help us to sidestep temptation today by Your Spirit and Truth!

Luke 4: 1-

1 THEN JESUS, full of and controlled by the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led in [by] the [Holy] Spirit2 For (during) forty days in the wilderness (desert), where He was tempted (tried, tested exceedingly) by the devil. And He ate nothing during those days, and when they were completed, He was hungry. 3 Then the devil said to Him, If You are the Son of God, order this stone to turn into a loaf [of bread].4 And Jesus replied to him, It is written, Man shall not live and be sustained by (on) bread alone but by every word and expression of God. 5 Then the devil took Him up to a high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the habitable world in a moment of time [in the twinkling of an eye].6 And he said to Him, To You I will give all this power and authority and their glory (all their magnificence, excellence, preeminence, dignity, and grace), for it has been turned over to me, and I give it to whomever I will.7 Therefore if You will do homage to and worship me [just once], it shall all be Yours.8 And Jesus replied to him, Get behind Me, Satan! It is written, You shall do homage to and worship the Lord your God, and Him only shall you serve. 9 Then he took Him to Jerusalem and set Him on a gable of the temple, and said to Him, If You are the Son of God, cast Yourself down from here;10 For it is written, He will give His angels charge over you to guard and watch over you closely and carefully;11 And on their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone. 12 And Jesus replied to him, [The Scripture] says, You shall not tempt (try, test exceedingly) the Lord your God. 13 And when the devil had ended every [the complete cycle of] temptation, he [temporarily] left Him [that is, stood off from Him] until another more opportune and favorable time.14 Then Jesus went back full of and under the power of the [Holy] Spirit into Galilee, and the fame of Him spread through the whole region round about.

Amplified Bible

My Thoughts About This:

The one thing that really jumps out of this scripture is that Jesus was led by the Holy Spirit into this cycle of temptations. It almost suggests a season of time! I can see in my life that temptations and trials have come in seasons and they have been one after another at times. Been there and felt that. I notice that Jesus did not get defensive at all with the devil, even though He could have proved Himself. Jesus took an offensive stand was consistently aiming and hitting the bull's-eye with the Word of God-His Truth!

This makes so much sense to me, especially after hearing what Joyce Meyer said yesterday: "satan moves us off the path of God's Will by getting us to try to prove ourselves, using who we are in our human position to impress others. Joyce Meyer said: "You will be truly free when you no longer have to prove or impress others."

VS 13 is eye opening to me! The devil could not get past the word of God, so he "temporarily" left Jesus, deciding to wait for a better more opportune-favorable time to tempt Jesus. For me, that opportune time would be when my weakness trumps the truth in my life and is leading. That happens way too much. I need to be more prayed up about temptation. I need not to pray for God to deliver me from it as much as make me ready for it, position me, align me in YOU, Jesus in Your truth and grow me through it so I might gain the experience of Your Wisdom. Jesus I hope huge You keep me in a Holy Alliance with Your supernatural power and not my human strength which fails every time.

"Joyce said: Whenever the devil starts something, say: 'I am not impressed'! If you don't let yourself get impressed by the trials and temptations the enemy throws at you, then you won't get depressed or oppressed or possessed by the trials instead of by God.

Devil! "I am not impressed"! Therefore I will not be depressed, oppressed or possessed by this trial, I will be found in Jesus Christ. Joyce Meyer

Philippians 4:12-13 I can do all things through Christ Who strengthens me.

My Thoughts About This:

Every time we grow in Christ Jesus during a trial, the tricks the devil plays become less painful and less distracting.

The most important thing you can do in a trial is face your Goliath in the power, wisdom and strength of AWE-GOD!

Our goal as Christians should be to endure everything with good temper.

We need to "grow through" our trials, everything and anything life throws at us and remain positioned in Christ: His character, His love, His truth, His Holy Spirit.

Worthy News Brief @worthyemail.com

Kimberly, patience - oh what a lesson!

2 Peter 1:5-7 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.

Patience is one of those attributes that you cannot learn by reading about it. It's a quality that can only be acquired by persistent, enduring, practice– and for me it's a drill that I go over, and over, and over again!

The original Webster's dictionary offers this definition of patience: "the suffering of afflictions, pain, toil, calamity, provocation or other evil, with a calm, unruffled temper; endurance without murmuring or fretfulness, from a kind of heroic pride, or from a Christian submission to the divine will."

Reading this definition two things really struck me – first, "endurance without murmuring". I, for instance, get so frustrated sitting in a traffic jam... counting the wasted minutes when I could have been doing something useful! Yet, what an opportunity for me to choose to quench the inner fumes – and use the delay to work on my patience!

The second thing that really hit me was, "a Christian submission to the divine will." How many times are we placed in a difficult position, or forced to deal with an "impossible" situation? Or perhaps, an "impossible" person? These circumstances are always opportunities to grow in patience – or to learn to submit to God's providential will, and often, to minister in some special or unique way.

Kimberly, is your patience being tested today? Great! Remember, love is (first of all) patient. [1 Cor. 13:4] The Lord is training you toward godliness –- and godliness is moving toward perfect love. With so much work to be done, He is really wanting to work this quality into your character now -– to perfect your love, and with it to transform the world around you for His glory!

Your family in the Lord with much agape love, George, Baht Rivka, Elianna & Obadiah

My Thoughts About This:

Yes, my patience is being tested today!! GRRRRR!! I hope I pass and move on to the godliness God is teaching me God character, He is training me for and what He has planned for my life. God is wanting to work the quality of His character in us, perfect our love and with it transform the world around us. Be patient!! I think the wasting time thing hits me the most at my weak spot of always trying to be scheduled and administrative, sometimes our strengths are our greatest soul-problems! Impossible: position-person-situation? This is an opportunity to grow in patience and to learn to submit to God. Godliness is always moving towards perfect love as God pushes our patience to new limits, working in us excellence of character!

Unjust Treatment

"When Jesus heard that John had been put in prison, he withdrew to Galilee." Matthew 4:12

There are days of mistreatment that come from disloyal and jealous people. Sometimes good people experience bad consequences, so that the glory of God can be made known through their lives. John boldly took a public stand for his faith and was punished for his courageous obedience to God. Do you feel like you have been wronged for doing right? Has your faith been put on trial and were you convicted for speaking the truth?

Your circumstance of ill treatment may not result in a physical rescue from Christ. It is in your trapped condition that He wants your intimacy with Him to grow deeper and sweeter. Your authorities at work may have broken a promise or used an unscrupulous process to get their desired results. You feel used and abused. So how will you respond? Will you return evil for evil, or will you extend grace in the face of extreme frustration?

"Do not repay evil for evil"… "If your enemy is hungry, feed him: if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head" (Romans 12:17a, 20). A radical response of love is a remedy for being isolated by an unjust person.

What are you learning as a result of feeling rejected or misunderstood? Has your determination grown in its resolve and do you have more focused attention on the mission of the organization? Loss of freedom and/or resources aligns us back to the essentials of an effective strategy and efficient execution.

Use this time of limited options to build sustainable systems and the most productive processes. Cling to your core values as your compass for behavior. Your optimism is an insurgent against others' insecurities. Lastly, let the Lord be your source of strength. Faith forged on the anvil of adversity becomes solid steel in mental toughness, emotional stability and spiritual maturity.

When people see Jesus in your humble, non-defensive attitude they hear His voice of truth. Learn your lessons from the Lord during stressful situations and leave it with Him to change others as to what needs to be done. Humility pays off with respect and results.

My Thoughts About This:

Wow that was power packed in God's Wisdom! I liked so much about it and so much about it convicted me greatly. Optimism adds value to other's insecurity, I like that. Faith pressed forward in adversity yields mental toughness, emotional stability and spiritual maturity. That is very cool.

Non defensive attitude- I need help with this one and the truth that humility pays off with respect and results is a big help a big motivator to not cop a defensive attitude. I realize too that a defensive attitude is me taking control of something Jesus is working through. Let God Work. I have to keep reminding myself of that. I am His workmanship, this is His work. I like what he said about good people, doing good things are still subject to bad things happening and all for the Glory of God.

Permission:

A wonderful word, especially when someone we respect gives us permission to enter their life and become a friend, to be a part of their life in friendship. A word that opens the gate to friendship and relationship. Unless a leader has permission to lead people, they will not lead them affectively. If they have to follow you, they don't follow well or long. But when they give you permission to follow you or lead you and people give you permission to lead them they are saying I trust you and I think that you want my best interest in your heart. he greatest compliment of a leader is when someone says to that person, I give you permission to lead my life.

My Thoughts About This:

That was really good and it kind of helps me understand why God gave us the free will to chose Him. We honor God when we say: Lead my life, Lord God – I choose You. I can see also that we follow Him better and longer when we choose to do so with all of our heart, when we in all willessness say: Lead me Jesus, make me into what You want me to be and I will follow only after You. I can also see how "religiosity" in all its rules and regulations only make shallow followers, who fall by the way side according to their own will and, who do not follow well or long. Permission may have been instituted first by Jesus when He created in us our free will. Lord I give You permission to lead me today, I know you have my best interest at heart and I will follow You. AMEN!

Isaiah 30:21 ~ The Amplified Bible

18And therefore the Lord [earnestly] waits [expecting, looking, and longing] to be gracious to you; and therefore He lifts Himself up, that He may have mercy on you and show loving-kindness to you. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are all those who [earnestly] wait for Him, who expect and look and long for Him [for His victory, His favor, His love, His peace, His joy, and His matchless, unbroken companionship]!

A Seasoned Servant Of God Has Encouraged Me Today

Deuteronomy 12:5

You are to come to the place where Adonai your God will put His name, which is where He will live (abide).

Even before Joshua led the children of Israel across the Jordan into the Promised Land for the first time, God had declared that He would choose a place somewhere in the Land in which to manifest his Name.  That place is Jerusalem (Yerushalayim).  Under David's son, Solomon, the Temple was built on that spot (that spot is now covered by the Muslim Gold Dome Mosque).

At the dedication of this Temple (1 Kings 8), Solomon prayed that God would meet the needs of Israel when they came before the Lord in the Temple, or if they would pray toward Jerusalem in faith, from a distance.  To this day, in synagogues around the world, Torah scrolls are located so that when the worshipers face them they are also looking towards Jerusalem.

Why was prayer so effective when directed toward the Temple and toward the holy city? That was the place where God provided the means for sinful humanity to reconnect with him by sacrifices, providing forgiveness and purification.

Similarly, turning to Yeshua/Jesus in faith is how we touch the manifestation of God's presence, where forgiveness and cleansing can be realized.  We can still face Yerushalayim when we pray.  However, the answer to our prayers comes not from the place, but from the person – Yeshua/Jesus – who gave His life for us in Yerushalayim and will, one day, return there to reign.  Hallelujah!

Remember today that all your needs are met by turning towards the One who is the living Temple of God.

Shalom,

Pastor Elliott

Verse Of The Day@biblegateway.com

2 Corinthians 13:14

The grace (favor and spiritual blessing) of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the presence and fellowship (the communion and sharing together, and participation) in the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen (so be it).

Amplified Bible (AMP)

Listening to 2 Corinthians 13 Notes:

Every matter must be with two or three witnesses. God is not weak in dealing with us, but is powerful among us. He was crucified in weakness but lives in God's power. We are weak but in God's power we serve. Christ Jesus is in us. We cannot do anything against the truth. We are glad when we are weak, and He is strong. Our prayer is for your perfection. Authority God gives us is for building others up, not tearing them down. Aim for perfection Be of one mind and live at peace and the God of peace will be with you. Grace of Jesus, love of God be with you all.

My Thoughts About This:

I think living at peace with one another may be the hardest command ever, because it takes a bending of our will and humility which is not natural to our human condition. Without people, Christianity would be easy. People say and do things from their perspective and it at times clashes with our life perspective. Maybe humility starts with a decision to respect other people's life perspectives, because theirs will be different than ours, because our shapes are designed so differently by our creator. Maybe the key is to accept that God has made us all different, shaped us in ways that we would sharpen each other by differing perspectives…. Whatever it might be, living at peace with other people is very humbling and it takes a laying down of our personal life-view and a willingness to look at things through their life-perspective and gain a new perspective. Maybe it is not the "right" perspective but humility will always lead the way to truth and agreement in what is Right and True.
