AWE- ALMIGHTY GOD!

Great God! Great GOD Travel Adventure!

I will follow You, Jesus. This is so different from what I expected it would be like. Lord, I so want to give up. I want to run in the opposite direction of my disappointments in people and life and find comfort, because my life is not like I planned it would be in this season. Nothing seems to work or fit here, it is not like I anticipated, it is a huge change in a direction where my expectations for my life plan have crashed and burned; this seems more than what I can bear. But then I think of You, JESUS and what You endured for me and I think: what if You, Jesus had given up as you struggled with Your Gethsemane. I think of You and how Your ways are not like this human flesh at all and Your motives are not because of what I want, but because of Your Kingdom Purposes, Your Higher Plan. I think of YOUR Love for me and how much I love you and I know, I somehow know, this is not more than I can bear, because the truth is I have YOU, I have a future and a hope YOU purchased for me. Help me to focus on YOU and stop trying to make sense out of this and stop trying to find a personal comfort zone in this situation. It is what it is because of YOUR Kingdom Purpose, and not for my humanity to be placated. Make me into what You want me to be. I will follow You. I will obey You because I love YOU so much. Purify my heart motives, Lord God. I surrender to You, Jesus, I hand YOU all my expectations, all my plans, all my hopes and dreams. Please make me into what YOU want me to be in this season of my life. Please reveal to me Your Kingdom Purposes in play that I might step out of my human hopes, expectations and plans and diligently pursue Your Kingdom and be in the middle of the flow of Your Kingdom purposes. My Thoughts About This:

In Followship of Jesus, a completely looks like this verse and it starts off with "at once"…. No questions asked, just follow at once. So when the thoughts come, bombardment of tempting thoughts to disobey God, "at once" fully turn, face God and say: Jesus, Make Me Into What YOU Want Me To Be. I am completely Yours, all of my gifts, all of my faults, all of me! Jesus! Make me like YOU.

John 12:26-28

If anyone serves Me, he must continue to follow Me [to cleave steadfastly to Me, conform wholly to My example in living and, if need be, in dying] and wherever I am, there will My servant be also. If anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.27 Now My soul is troubled and distressed, and what shall I say? Father, save Me from this hour [of trial and agony]? But it was for this very purpose that I have come to this hour [that I might undergo it].28 [Rather, I will say,] Father, glorify (honor and extol) Your [own] name! Great God! Great GOD Travel Adventure!

I could not sleep last night, I was bombarded with thoughts, it was like battling my will all night long. I not only wanted to give up staying here but the thoughts went deeper - thoughts about going back to NC, starting a whole new life... God won the battle and it shows how important it is, the truth we lend our ears to and give our lives to. I heard Pastor Todd's message on Sunday and then the Jonah study, it was those two things that kept me true to God. I finally this morning told the enemy to shut up, this divisive bombardment of my head is not going to work.... My heart is settled! I LOVE GOD and I LOVE to obey GOD... period and you burned Jonah by that 1st wrong decision, you will not burn me so get lost, I plan to bypass the whale belly, no thanks!!!!!!!!!!!! Then my peace came back, the raging thoughts quieted and I knew this was a passed test in my Kingdom Training! AWE-GOD!

Thanks for your prayers and encouragement this week, they are invaluable and thanks for being my sister!

My Thoughts About This:

Jesus can give me the desire and passion to pursue God's heart and walk in His Ways. I need to be intentional, stay in the Word, stay connected to God's heart, stay in fellowship with God instead of chasing my feelings, wants and plans. Before this sermon I was wavering in my obedience. God has brought me to a place that is challenging my comfort zone in a huge way. I did not think I could stay here anymore. I wanted to run. Now I want to obey God, I want to stay connected to Him, to be where His plan is for me, no matter how uncomfortable that might feel and to be in the flow of His Kingdom purpose. Some season of life are just plain hard, but GOD, connection with Him is crazy awesome, sooooo good!!! I will stay put! Thanks for the message, it kept me in place. I look forward to #2!

Jesus I pray you touch this co-worker of Amy's, touch this man in a way none of us can, by Your Spirit, heal him, be His healer, be His stability, be the ALL of his confidence, be everything this world can not be for him and give him hope in You, a hope that anchors his soul in YOUR peace, a peace that surpasses everything he thinks is impossible. Jesus!

Father God, touch Ann Marie and heal her from her surgery, strengthen her physically and bless her in all she does for YOU.

Father Be with TK this week, strengthen Him in Your Word, draw Him to You.

Jesus be with Chad, strengthen his faith as he perseverses, be with Tyler, undergird Tyler in Your stability and touch Katie, draw her to Your Salvation, change her destiny, change the direction of her choices to that of righteousness. Jesus

Lord be with Ed, give him Your specific wisdom for what to do next and open the door for Him Jesus, for a job in WPB, so he can be with his children. Open a door that no man can shut Lord God.

I know what some of you are thinking, and quite frankly, I understand…

Sometimes I get tired of waiting as well…

You've been waiting so long already…

When is your turn?

Sometimes I find myself in another one of these trying times, when it seems I can't win for losing…I have my daily pity party…curse the day I was born…and wish the world would let me off the rotation for a while. Maybe it's not always that bad, but to be honest, sometimes I get impatient waiting for God to act!

Several times throughout the Psalms, the psalmist cries out "Come quickly, Lord!" I can identify with the writer. I want God to act on my timing. Sometimes…just to be honest…I can't understand why God hasn't responded to my pleas for help! NOW always seems like a good time to me!

Now, please, don't leave me out on an island alone… surely you've been there too! We have a hard time waiting for God to work His perfect will! It's just hard to see how the present situation could ever turn out perfectly.

Then I remember that God is longing to be gracious to me, that His ways are not my ways, that His thoughts are higher than my thoughts, that His plans for me are just and righteous. I recall that He loved me and planned victory for me before there was time, and that He sees tomorrow, before it is yesterday. He is God. He does not deal in issues of time. His ways are in elements of eternity. His view is from above; He sees the beginning and the end.

I know He has my best at heart. I am strengthened for another day. I can go on because I'm reminded of His love! I will wait for the Lord! Will you? Are you currently in a waiting time?
