Christ, The Church, The Culture By Dean Engebretson
2 Chronicles 18:12-13
The messenger who went to get Micaiah told him, "The prophets have all said Yes to the king. Make it unanimous-vote Yes!" 13 But Micaiah said, "As sure as God lives, what God says, I'll say."

My Thoughts About This = Miraculous Musings! J
The easy way out is to say what people want you to say, especially if you are under a lot of pressure. In our current culture, everything said is according to the political tide of the culture, do I join this or do I step out an stand for God in a counter cultural way!?
Notes From Sermon:
- There are so many ways the culture clashes with the church: time-context-community life-poltically-morally
- The church culture at Corinth was in a Roman Colony and it was saturated with political pressure in a significant way. This culture was a hub of traffic from all over the world because of its location. It was the highest in the excellence of technology because it had under ground water and refrigeration systems. In the culture of Corinth was great wealth and great poverty and nothing inbetween. There were 700 thousand people 400 of which were slaves. Luxury lived next to poverty. They were robust in the trade of human trafficking. There was great social inequity! They were morally self indulgent in every kind of human pleasure. They had a temple called Terror where children were sacrificed to the idols daily. The church at Corinith was impacted greatly by these issues.
- Churches are birthed into a specific region to transform its culture by God's Kingdom culture. #SGleam Dean Engebretson
- The church can be in the world but beware, the world can also be all over the church. #SGleam
- The church of Corinth was an infant messy stage when the Letter To Corinthians was written.
- Baby believers are messy and if a church is composed of them, it is a messy church! #SGleam Dean Engebretson
- Paul wrote the letter 1 Corinthians to address the messy behavior of the infant church.
- Acts 18:9 God told Paul not to be afraid to go to Corinth and told Him He was with him because this would be a difficult ministry to plant because of the culture in Corinth
- Paul arrives in Corinth In Acts 18 and begins persuading them about the truth by preaching the gospel. VS 4 He ran into great opposition VS 6 He shook off his clothing and left and went to another church where he was welcome. And that was right next door to the church that threw him out.
- Gentiles who wanted to become Jews but did not want to be circumcised were in that culture called: Worshipers of God. They were not fully gentile and not fully seen as Jewish. Titus was one of these.
- VS8 Men's significant role was their life influence 1st in their home
- 1 Cor 1 We see a church gathering together of those who are "called out" from the culture of the world, called to experience a new culture, The Kingdom Of God.
- Corinth was a church that had one foot in the church and one foot in the world and that was just enough to make them ineffective and give them a miserable, joyless Christianity.
- #SGleam Church: Those "called out" from the culture of the world to experience a new culture: The Kingdom of God.
becoming a woman of beauty & strength by elizabeth george
Notes From Chapter One Taught By Daisy
- We need to spend time in the Word to grow our roots
- Being deeply rooted anchors our soul, so spend time in the Word of God and grow your roots!
- A question to ask yourself weekly: Did my root system in God grow stronger this week?
- God will take us, plant us in a specific place and grow us for His glory! We have to dig our roots deep and bloom!
- God's favor is given to produce influence and create impact with our God given audience around us every day.
- Godly influence impacts our situations with His influence that changes the perspective to a truthful positive focus!
- My influence is for God's Glory. How can I invest my influence in my audience this week so God gets the glory?
- Who do we honor? Self: Psalm 49: 6-20 or God: Psalm 96:4-13
- When we honor God, the tone of our worship and the hope in our future is reflected in Him
- Guard against comparing the audience God has given you with someone else's audience, this creates a complaining spirit in you.
- Bloom where God has planted you! Remember God is in your audience too. Your audience may change but your Audience of One does not!
- No matter what audience God transplants you to bloom for, He is always your Audience Of One!
- God has given each of us wealth and riches of all kinds. Every day take what He has given you and invest it for His Glory.
- True Joy comes when you share the treasures God has put in your hand each day.
My Thoughts About This = Miraculous Musings! J
This teaching settled something out of balance deep within me. When we got moved so suddenly from Ft. Benning, I grieved because of leaving the audience of 500 soldiers per week that God had put me in front of to share the gospel. What I did not realize was God is my Audience of One, always and forever and it is this common denominator to my life that will hold me steady. He is in my audience always no matter the size, shape or mission I have with the audience He has set me before, my 1st call is and always will be to my Audience of One… Jesus Christ! In Pinehurst I still have this audience, nothing has changed. As long as I have an Audience of One, which I always will, my life is purposeful from here to there unto forever! AWE-GOD! It is my hope to be deeply rooted in God, so I can finish every season He plants me in as a fragrant bloom.
Excerpts From The Book:
Roots are unseen: Be set apart, underground in God's presence and immerse yourself in His Word
Roots are for taking in: Take in and feed upon the Word of God to insure the growth of your roots
Roots are for storage: The routine care and feeding of your roots in God's Word will be a deep reservoir of divine hope and strength for the rough times
Roots are for support: The every day care of your roots through exposure to God's Word will cultivate in you a remarkable endurance and strength.

I Must Decrease - God Must Increase In Me!
My Thoughts:
Day Five! January 11th, 2012 My Thoughts: From Week Four:
- Hope is always manifested from the inside where Jesus is in me to the outside where He reigns through me.
- Confusion is not part of my inner life until I let go of the guard of hope at the door of my soul.
- The amount of hope that is present in me is in direct correlation to how much I am not being governed by my feelings.
- That which is external pressure needs to stay and hope keeps the external from wreaking havoc with the inner man.
- Our inner place of refuge is guarded by hope as it anchors our emotions in God's truth
Psalm 130
OUT OF the depths have I cried to You, O Lord. 2 Lord, hear my voice; let Your ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications. 3 If You, Lord, should keep account of and treat [us according to our] sins, O Lord, who could stand? 4 But there is forgiveness with You [just what man needs], that You may be reverently feared and worshiped. 5 I wait for the Lord, I expectantly wait, and in His word do I hope. 6 I am looking and waiting for the Lord more than watchmen for the morning, I say, more than watchmen for the morning. 7 O Israel, hope in the Lord! For with the Lord there is mercy and loving-kindness, and with Him is plenteous redemption. 8 And He will redeem Israel from all their iniquities. (Amplified)
My Thoughts About This Verse:
- This psalm gives us so much wisdom about hope! It 1st begins with prayer and crying to God, there is no hope without a dependency on God.
- We get hope when we listen to God, there is no hope outside of His Voice; the rumblings of the world will never be an anchor that holds our soul in peace.
- Repentance ushers in God's forgiveness and with this comes a sweet breathe of heavenly hope.
- Hope does not go far without expectancy in God's Word which is faithful, just, steadfast and true!
- When we look to God 1st, cling to Him and dig our roots deeply in His Kingdom purposes, we will have a hope that endures every storm that comes our way!
- Hope in God, set your faith upon His redeeming power over the human condition!
Job 11:13-20
If you set your heart aright and stretch out your hands to [God], 14 If you put sin out of your hand and far away from you and let not evil dwell in your tents; 15 Then can you lift up your face to Him without stain [of sin, and unashamed]; yes, you shall be steadfast and secure; you shall not fear. 16 For you shall forget your misery; you shall remember it as waters that pass away.17 And [your] life shall be clearer than the noonday and rise above it; though there be darkness, it shall be as the morning.18 And you shall be secure and feel confident because there is hope; yes, you shall search about you, and you shall take your rest in safety.19 You shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid; yes, many shall sue for your favor.20 But the eyes of the wicked shall look [for relief] in vain, and they shall not escape [the justice of God]; and their hope shall be to give up the ghost. (Amplified)
My Thoughts About This Verse:
- Fear is sin and God's hope is not present where there is fear.
- Hope is stretching out your faith to God with hands that are pure in motion from a heart that has been cleansed by God.
- Hope brings clarity of God's love into every situation that has been fogged up by the enemy.
- Hope searches out by the lamp light of the Holy Spirit in us and finds a position of safety in every man made storm I have to ride out.
- The wicked do not have hope beyond what they see, we have hope in the unseen riches of God's purposes at work all around us.
There is a God-shaped vacuum in the heart of every person and it can never be filled by any created thing. It can only be filled by God, made known through Jesus Christ. -- Blaise Pascal
Joyce Meyer: Promises for Your Everyday Life - a Daily Devotional
Proverbs 23:7
For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. As one who reckons, he says to you, eat and drink, yet his heart is not with you [but is grudging the cost].
Free to Think Positive Thoughts By Joyce Meyer
This scripture shows us how important it is to think healthy, positive thoughts about ourselves. You cannot love life if you're always thinking negative thoughts. If you struggle with this, I encourage you to make up your mind to work toward changing your way of thinking. I've found the best way to become a positive thinker is to ask God for a lot of help, and to ask for it often.
That's really the hardest part of being set free from negativism: admitting that it's a problem and asking God for help. But once you do that, you can overcome it because according to the Bible, you're a new person in Christ (see 2 Corinthians 5:17).
Many people are afraid to hope because they've been hurt so much in life. Their philosophy is: "If I don't expect anything good to happen, I won't be disappointed if it doesn't."
That's how I used to think. I had encountered so much disappointment and I was afraid to be positive. When I began to study the Word and trust God to restore me, I realized my negative thoughts had to go.
We need to practice positive thoughts in every situation. If you're going through a difficult time, expect that God will work things out for your good. As a Christian, it's time for you to fight for your thoughts, because your mind won't automatically come into agreement with God's plans.
I encourage you to spend time examining His Word and comparing it to your thought life. Give God time to help you put your thoughts in line with His. He showed me how to be a more positive person, and He'll show you how to be one too.
Prayer Starter: God, I admit that I struggle with negative thoughts and I need Your help. Line my thoughts up with Your Word. In every situation, remind me that You will work things out for my good.

Lord I pray you cover my mind today with Your Truth, Your Powerful Word. Help me to fight for the control of my mind and help me Jesus to position, align my thoughts in Holy Alliance with YOUR Truth. I pray I won't exchange truth for lies today, keep me in the flow of YOUR Kingdom purpose. Jesus!

Gift of Sleep By Boyd Bailey
"In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat—for he grants sleep to those he loves." Psalm 127:2
God gives the gift of sleep to His saints. It is a gift easily taken for granted, because it is an everyday occurrence. But just like our Creator bestows the air we breathe, it is important to acknowledge and thank the Lord as the Giver of all good things. Sleep can be illusive when it is in competition with an ill-timed illness, erratic circumstances, or a guilty conscience. Indeed, sleep is sweet to a soul that is in sync with its Savior's love.
What contributes to a restful night, unencumbered by external forces or internal issues? Peace of mind that comes with resting in the security of Christ secures significant sleep. Trust in Him trumps any tension at work or conflict at home. A head falls quickly on a peaceful pillow and eyes shut quietly in a soul stilled by Jesus. Trust turns off a racing mind and reminds it that God works out worries throughout a silent dark night.
"When Jacob awoke from his sleep, he thought, "Surely the LORD is in this place, and I was not aware of it." Genesis 28:16
Contentment is another contributor to God's gift of sleep. Contentment claims its significance in Christ and not stuff. Because it is satisfied with Jesus plus nothing, there is a serenity that secures a good night's sleep. Contentment does not come to a person consumed by cash and it eludes the individual that is more interested in image control than Christ's control. Real rest comes not in un-relaxed striving, but in restful gratitude.
Lastly, a clear conscience with Christ, one's self and other people produces a productive night's rest. Honesty creates a calming haven in the heart, while lies run around erratic, trying to remember what was last said. If you are a forgiven sinner—you sleep well—without wondering what the future holds for you. The Savior of your soul gives peace to your mind, rest to your body and security to your soul. So, receive Jesus' gift of sweet sleep.
"In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, LORD, make me dwell in safety." Psalm 4:8
How can I slow down and rest securely in my Savior's arms with sweet and deep sleep?

Interesting that a racing mind at night is a lack of trust….hmmmmm I have had a racing mind some nights that has kept me up, stolen my sleep and now I can see it is a lack of trust, seriously so… the next time that happens, instead of tossing and turning all night long, I am going to get up and lay before God and pray through until that area of mistrust is settled in belief and faith and most of all truth. Because usually my lack of trust in God is a hidden lie that I have exchanged for God's Truth. I need to settle the truth in me and rest in it!
Restlessness is a serious lack of trust in God- supported by a lie that I have exchanged for God's Truth. Settle the truth-rest in it!

Notes From: Surrender: http://johnmaxwellteam.com/surrender-2/
I surrender! Ah…One of those days nothing goes right and you throw up your hands in surrender. Outward circumstances no matter how difficult they become should not control the inner the attitude we have. I can't positively affect the things on the outside, it is not what matters to me, it is what happens in me. The only control I have to day is my attitude and the choices I make from this attitude. You can be beaten up on the outside but be alive on the inside. Those who have fail to surrender to the outside pressure but have determined to be never down, either up or getting up. Get up don't surrender and live for one more day, you will be glad you did.
My Thoughts About This = Miraculous Musings! J
I like that about being beaten up on the outside, (which so many of us are in this current political-economical culture in our country) should not affect us on the inside, we can still be okay on the inside when the storm is raging outside all around us. My soul-security can't be found from pulling it from the outside to the inside by sheer human will power, it must come from the inside where God reigns, to affect the outside where the storm rages. God is our refuge! Every attitude formed from the inside, where God is, to the outside where the storm is, will anchor our soul in His security. Again we must learn this: My soul security isn't religiosity willed in from the outside, it comes from the inside relationship where God reigns from the inside out, therefore affecting the outside where the storm rages.
YOU VERSION READING PLAN- THOUGHTS AS I READ:
Genesis 16
- Once again, the enemy convinces a woman not to wait on God and to do things her own way. An age old sin and her husband once again follows her. So often in my life I see this pattern too, Jesus break it in me. Help me to learn and to walk in a trust that waits on YOU, that gives way to YOUR "Kingdom Timing", giving YOU the time needed to work out all YOUR purposes in my situation. Jesus.
- Abram in the midst of walking by a "man made fire" gives Sarai human advice… you take care of it, your maid is subject to you. They forget all about God, they walk right out of His Presence into their human condition and Sarai treats Hagar out of jealously, instead of out of Godly characteristic.
- God sent His angel to straighten out the mess human beings had made. He gives Hagar wisdom to deal with the impossible of her situation. He tells Hagar that God has heard her and seen her affliction and He will bless her if she obeys him and goes back.
- Enmity is the only thing that can be born out of willful disobedience and God shows this clearly as He tells Hagar about her son, Ishmael and says that his hand will be against everyone, and everyone's hand will be against him.
- Ishmael recognizes God and realizes that He has spared her life and the life of her child.
- We sure do mess things up with our "human doings" instead of being found in the power and wisdom of obedience to our AWE GOD!
GENESIS 17
- God's heart desire is seen here as He asks Abraham to walk before Him and be blameless. He so desires that for all of us.
- When our response to God is humility and honor and we bow before Him, we hear so clearly from Him, He speaks to us in covenant and gives us hope.
- VS 8 What an amazing promise… I will be their God! Thank you Lord!
- God wants us to be circumcised in the "heart of our flesh" the place where life is reproduced. Our spirit, our soul should be circumcised. Circumcision of our heart assures purity and cleanness of heart and soul.
- Abraham laughed because what God told him would happen seemed so far out of the realm of possibility. Sometimes I feel that way in my life. I can't see how I can accomplish something that God has asked me to do, it is farther than my scope of understanding and I can't wrap my mind around it, so I doubt, instead of letting go in trust and not having to understand everything in my day.
- Then Abraham asked God if He could just use Ishmael, it was another statement of unbelief, the easy way out, something he could see, something tangible exchanged for something he could not believe could happen.
- God promises to make Ishmael a great nation with twelve princes but He says once again, my Sovereign Will is to establish a covenant with Isaac. God had a plan and he did not let the "human doings" of Abraham supersede His plan.
- God continues to do what He planned, even though in our "human condition" we messed things up. He cleans up the mess in HIS Way and His Sovereign Will stands.
- To the easy way out that Abraham proposed God said: 19 But God said, "No, but Sarah your wife will bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac; and I will establish My covenant with him for an everlasting covenant for his descendants after him. (NASB)
- Abraham obeyed God that very same day, he did not wait, he did what God asked him to do and he had all the males circumcised
Romans 6
- How shall we who died to sin still live in it? Think on this one today and every moment to every choice today obey God 1st! (Ro 6)
- We walk in the newness of life in Jesus Christ, through Jesus Christ.
- Jesus freed us from sin, it is by His power in us we are no longer slaves to sin to our old self. What we were was crucified on the cross of Jesus Christ and we are resurrected in HIM to a new life, a new way, a new truth!
- Once, Jesus died, just once and it was for All of us, so death would not be our master and life would be our hope!
- The life we live, we live unto God and we live it alive in the strength, truth, power and purpose of Jesus Christ!
- Today say no to sin, don't obey it's lusts, obey God, present your body to God as an instrument of Righteousness. Make the right choice 1st!
- We don't sin because we love Jesus, it is love, honor and respect of our AWE-GOD that keeps us making the right choice the 1st time.
- Obedience is from the heart and it is to God, we are His slaves of righteousness
- Consistently presenting myself to God's righteousness every moment, results in me being a dedication of Godly morality in my every choice.
- A habitual sinner is a slave to inner shame without the benefit of an eternal outcome. There is no lasting benefit for sin.
- Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
YOU VERSION NOTE – GOD INSPIRED- GOD WRITTEN
The Right Choice The 1st Time!
http://www.youversion.com/notes/3366749/bow-in-reverence
Romans 6:8-19
Jesus died once and for ALL! This speaks of a hidden value of truth to a Christian! We, who have given our lives to Jesus Christ once, have made a once for all time commitment to making the right choice the 1st time, from every moment to every decision! We have given our lives to God once, to be ALL IN with Him always. As a Christian, my every moment to my every choice is for God and in complete obedience to HIM.
I do what is right the 1st time and rationalization never enters into play in my life. I am tempted, yes, but I work out my salvation and from every moment to every choice, in the all of my everything, I can make the right choice the 1st time. Jesus is honored all the time as I am ALL IN with Him every time, making the right choice the 1st time! I love Jesus with all of my heart, soul, mind, will and spirit, therefore I do not habitually sin. I obey God, I am a slave to His right way of living, and my soul, my feelings, my natural human lusts do not control my choices, because Jesus Christ is my Lord and the master I submit my life to.
I honor Jesus with my 1st choice. I love Jesus with my 1st decision out of every moment, being the Godly choice. The life I live, I live unto God and through His strength, His truth, His power I make the right choice, the 1st time. Obedience cannot be kindled from my human will power alone. God must be an all consuming fire in me and it is by the light of His life, I walk. If I kindle my own passion by will power, I will fail.
I can't make the right choice the 1st time, independent from God's light of truth and walking by the light of a man made fire that has been kindled by assumptions. My heart must be engaged with my AWE-GOD and His Spirit and Truth. I must step into the power of His Kingdom Purpose in my every moment to my every right 1st choice.
Complete Followship! There is no greater way to live life than in obedience to Jesus Christ, the ONE Who has freed me from habitual sin and is the master over death. Jesus has given me hope in a future that is incorruptible and an inheritance that is sure, therefore I honor Him and love Him with my 1st choice out of every moment of my life being the right choice. I have the benefit of an eternal outcome and inner shame does not batter me with guilt and make me miserable.
I have joy and strength in my life as I consistently present myself to God's righteousness in every moment, resulting in me being a dedication and presentation of Godly morality in my every 1st choice. LOVE GOD LOUD today in a culture where right is seen as wrong and wrong is seen as right and make the Godly choice your 1st choice of your every moment. Oh Lord God, Creator Of All, Holy Spirit Of Extreme And Mighty Power, Let It Be So In Us! AMEN! AWE-GOD!

7 Spending Encouragements to Make Life Better
Posted: 11 Jan 2012 04:00 AM PST
Spend more time looking towards your future than at your past.
Spend more energy on what you can change rather than what you cannot.
Spend more time reading a book than watching television.
Spend more time extending grace than holding a grudge.
Spend more time listening than talking.
Spend more time dreaming than dreading.
Spend more energy with people you love rather than things you can buy.
My Thoughts About This = Miraculous Musings! J
I learned the one about not chasing people who do not want to be caught. I can't change them and I waste so much energy chasing them.
I do need to work on the listening one… more time listening than talking. Hmmmmm
I like the one on dreaming instead of dreading… that is a good one and I find I do spend way to much time dreading what is to come by my perspective instead of dreaming from God's vision.

Worthy News Brief @worthyemail.com
Kimberly, no matter how you feel -- you can always be a light!
John 1:9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
D. L. Moody told the story of a man who was crossing the Atlantic by ship. He was terribly seasick and confined to his cabin. One night he heard the cry "Man overboard!" But he felt that there was nothing he could do to help. Then he said to himself, "I can at least put my lantern in the porthole." He struggled to his feet and hung the light so it would shine out into the darkness.
The next day he learned that the person who was rescued said, "I was going down in the dark night for the last time when someone put a light in aporthole. As it shone on my hand, a sailor in a lifeboat grabbed it and pulled me in."
All of us have weaknesses -- and times of weakness. The fact of the matter is, though, that weak or not, we need to muster up the strength to put our lights in our portholes for the sake of the dying and the lost among us. It's so tempting to sulk in our weaknesses, and stay in our cabins -- but God expects more of us. He has given us the strength to do all things -- even move mountains! There are so many people around us sinking in despair. God has chosen us to reach out and light up their lives!
Kimberly, let's do something extraordinary for the Lord today. Be bold, speak up, let's get beyond our weaknesses! Your family in the Lord with much agape love, George, Baht Rivka, Elianna & Obadiah

A Seasoned Servant Of God Has Encouraged Me Today
1 Peter 1:3-7
3 Praise the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. According to His great mercy, He has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead
4 and into an inheritance that is imperishable, uncorrupted, and unfading, kept in heaven for you.
5 You are being protected by God's power through faith for a salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.
6 You rejoice in this, though now for a short time you have had to struggle in various trials
7 so that the genuineness of your faith—more valuable than gold, which perishes though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
Dear Bob and Kim,
Recently, and occasionally, I have the privilege to travel to other churches to preach, give testimony, or conduct a demonstration of the Passover Seder. It is such a blessing to see people that I love, cherish and with whom I share many memories. It is also a blessing to make some new memories while I am at these places with new friends. As we talked about children, grandchildren and the struggles of getting older I was reminded of this passage from the apostle Peter " Praise the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. According to His great mercy, He has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead and into an inheritance that is imperishable, uncorrupted, and unfading, kept in heaven for you."
The "Golden Years" are usually accompanied by aches and pains. We all face different struggles than we did when we were young. Thank God for His mercy and the HOPE of the RESURRECTION of Jesus Christ from the dead. Thank God for the family of God that grows and grows as we become more and more obedient to the call to share the "GOOD NEWS" with everyone.
Will Rogers has been quoted many times for the saying "A stranger is just a friend I haven't met yet". To the Believer, how many strangers are waiting to be your Brother or Sister in Jesus Christ? How many have been robbed of the love, grace, and mercy of God simply because we chose to stay in our own little group? How many have we robbed of Eternal LIFE in Jesus Christ because we refused to share the ONE THAT SAVED US?
The more you surround yourself with NEW family members, the more GOD can bless you. I have been blessed with friends who became part of the family of God from Israel, Asia, Central and South America, and in many places here in the USA. I thank God that we can still be looking for the family of God to grow in our own little piece of the world through Jesus Christ.
Meet someone new today. Don't miss the blessing.

My Thoughts About This = Miraculous Musings! J
Oh do I agree with that! You know how God likes to move us around a lot, but as I get older, it seems to be more of a struggle with desiring a home and roots, you know earthly security!! This last move was a real stretch because it was totally not planned and happened suddenly, like two day notice, we are moving… OMGFR???!!! I have struggled since I have been here adjusting because we had such a huge audience at Ft Benning. We got to share the gospel to 500 soldiers per weekend. Here we have not found our place yet, it has been slow go for a God Purpose. God is teaching us that HE is always our audience 1st. Our 1st call is to an Audience of One and this Audience is a common denominator through every single move. We finally found a church that God "wants" us at, not one we would have chosen, but we know we are to be there. This week I really struggled with going to the 1st Women's Ministry meeting, walking in alone, not knowing anyone. I had talked myself out of going, but the Lord kicked me out of the house to go. Then as the speaker got up to speak and introduced herself as the head of military ministry for this area, I then saw God smile…..We had been asking Him for a connection back into military ministry and there it was…. His purposes are in play all around us and they begin in surrendering what we want, going out and being His. In order to bloom where He plants us, we must be deeply Kingdom rooted, so watch out God will pull up our earthly roots in order to accomplish that! I know… He is yanking mine out by the earthly roots! This year of 2012 He has asked me to work on my "personal worship" and to develop it by speaking out gratefulness every day, to everyone in my audience and everywhere I go. He is asking me to position myself in Holy Alignment with His Holy Spirit and learn to step forward in complete followship of the Holy Spirit's promptings and be ALL In with HIM. Oh yes… this year will be a great God Adventure!
I will follow YOU, all my days! I will be ALL IN with YOU, Jesus. All IN, All For You, All About You!

Joyce Meyer: Promises For Your Everyday Life
Hebrews 5:14 says, "Solid food is for those who are mature, who through training have the skill to recognize the difference between right and wrong" (NLT).
The "solid food" of the Word will convict you, and that's a positive thing. It's the Holy Spirit letting you know in your heart that your attitude stinks or that you're on the wrong path.
Getting in the Word is the key to living life in the right direction. So don't be a baby...take in the solid food of the Word!
YOU VERSION READING PLAN- THOUGHTS AS I READ:
GENESIS 13 -14-15
- Abraham left Negev with much more abundance than when he obeyed God and went.
- It is funny how it actually said that they could not live there together because thy had too many possessions. Get a hint!!!
- Abram gave Lot the choice and he looked and took what he thought was best by his sight
- Wow can you imagine God saying, look around and whatever you see I will give to you and your children forever!!
- I am giving you everything you see, so get moving and walk through it. Wow!
- It is so crazy that Lot picked what he thought was the best and ended up with nothing and carried away in captivity.
- Lot showed no gratitude what at all to Abram, just greedily too what he thought was the best, yet Abraham when Lot got into trouble, went and rescued him.
- After the battle, the priest came and recognized God's hand in the victory and praised God and recognized that Abram was blessed by God and Abram gave him a tenth of all the recovered war plunder.
- Abraham took nothing for fighting that battle, He wanted to give God the glory in His life.
- Abram not only said he was all in with God but his actions showed it when he did not accept the plunder from the war, he gave it to the King of Sodom.
- Abram did not understand why God had not fulfilled his promise to give him a son and he questioned him and God answered him again, saying I will fulfill what I promised.
- Abram believed God and God declared Abram right with Him
- God is the same God who promises you and the same God who walks with you until that promise is fulfilled. He doesn't go anywhere, we do… we walk off with unbelief right out of His Presence.
- Abram was growing and developing patience on the fulfillment of God's Promises
ROMANS 5
- We have the peace of reconciliation to hold on to because we have been declared righteous by Jesus. Through our faith we take hold of God's peace and enjoy it.
- WE should be full of joy now! We do have an incredible hope and that does bring us joy in our future, but now, everything we "grow through" will also bring great gain to us.
- Pressure and affliction in our lives grow in us patient and steady endurance.
- Endurance develops maturity of character and character produces in us a joyful hope that does not disappoint us.
- VS 8 A picture of true love, the only love that will stand the test of time from here to there and unto forever. God's love an unconditional action of sacrifice for us when we did not deserve it.
- It is a human reaction not to hold back love from someone you feel does not deserve it, God broke that mold and sent His Son to die for us.
- We were reconciled to God by Jesus's sacrifice and even today we can b daily delivered from sin's dominance by the Life of Jesus Christ in us.
#AWE-GOD! Sin was a condition that no one escaped the power of until Jesus came and broke the chains!
