LEARN: I must learn to walk in the God given authority: power, privilege, right of a child of God by clinging to my belief, and adhering to, trusting in and relying on the name of JESUS
Prophecy: Isaiah 56:5 To them I will give in My house and within My walls a memorial and a name better [more enduring] than sons and daughters; I will give them an everlasting name that will not be cut off.
LEARN: God had a plan from the beginning for me, I must let go of my way, be filled with the LIGHT of His Life and lean upon His Powerful name. JESUS!
VS16 Shows the abundance that our AWE-GOD has given us.
The Law can't compare to the grace- unearned favor, spiritual blessing and truth that came through Jesus Christ.
VS 18 Apply: Jesus can make the Father God known to me.

Notes As I Listen To Romans Chapter 13:
Submit yourself to authority, because God has established all authority. All authority that exists God gave, so when you resist authority you resist God. Do what is right! If you do wrong, you will be punished by the authority God has set us. Authority are God's servants who govern for Him. Debt to love one another. Do not commit adultery steal covet all summed up in love your neighbor as yourself, love does no harm to its neighbor. Wake up from your sleep, our salvation is near. Night is nearly over, day is here… put aside darkness and take up light… no sexual immorality, clothe yourself with the Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 13 is the chapter for the authority given to soldiers to kill, police officers to kill in the line of duty. VS4 For he is God's servant for your good. But if you do wrong, [you should dread him and]be afraid, for he does not bear and wear the sword for nothing. He is God's servant to execute His wrath (punishment, vengeance) on the wrongdoer.

My Thoughts About This = Miraculous Musings! J
I like the word constantly in this scripture! God is constantly changing our human condition into His Image! Our personality is being shaped to fit His Personality. Our character and integrity is being formed to His Characteristics. How amazing is that?! I know the purposes of God in play in my life right now, are a mirror of God's Glory, reflecting Kingdom Characteristics upon my soul. As I fully face my AWE-GOD today in the all of my everything, I step out into His Kingdom purposes in play, with the personal God intention of changing me; creating in me a clean-pure heart like Jesus has; saturating my soul with the incredible personality and passion of AWE-Father God; shaping-designing my spirit in the mirror reflection of Jesus' Glorious Image; renewing my mind in the fullness of the Holy Spirit's Truth with relevant-revelational Kingdom principles; and bending my will to the Sovereign Sway of God's Way-Making for His perfect plan to spring forth in me. Take Off the Mask By Joyce Meyer
So many times we act one way on the outside, but we're actually different on the inside. Because we have weaknesses, faults and fears, things that we think make us less likable or desirable, we'd rather hide them from other people. So we wear masks.
The danger of wearing a mask is that it misrepresents us. What other people see is a lie. It's not who we are or who we were born to be. We can change the outside, but we can't change who we really are deep down inside.
We need to realize that God loves us just the way we are right now, and His love for us will never diminish.
And there's more good news. Second Corinthians 3:18 says that God is changing us and making us more like Himself and fixing the flaws we want to cover up.
Trust Him enough to take off your mask. You will find, as I have, that you are being changed, little by little, into the very image of your Lord.
Prayer Starter: Lord, I realize that I often try to wear a mask in order to fit in and find acceptance. Today, I make a decision to find my acceptance in You. As You overwhelm me with Your love, continue to change me into Your great image.

- If God is my portion? What portion of my life is He? If I am constantly questioning Him? Have I surrendered all?
- Respect! I need to develop more of it! Who am I to question Almighty God!?
- Questioning God in the light of the TRUTH of Who He Is, is just my unbelief making me a fool! Help me believe… completely!
- My mind gets overtaken by emotional tornadoes and when I chase them, I end up truly beaten! I must be a God chaser 1st!

As I wrestled through this particular message preparation, I kept thinking about places I see pride creep into leadership; even my own leadership. If we are not careful, our attempt at good leadership will be derailed by the pride of our hearts.
Remember, "Pride goes before destruction". (Proverbs 16:18)
Have you ever known (or been) a proud leader?
Here are 7 dangers of the proud leader:
Refuses to listen to advice from others – Proud leaders "know it all". Of course, that's not reality, but it's often their perception of reality. Certainly their pride causes them to want you to believe that is reality. Their attempt to perpetuate the perception of superiority causes them to ignore the wisdom of others.
Makes excuses for mistakes – Proud leaders refuse to admit their errors. They scoff at any insinuation a mistake was theirs and refuse ownership of the team's failures. It's always someone else's fault when goals aren't reached, mistakes are made or momentum stalls. They don't learn from times of failure; they try to hide them.
Protects position at any cost – Proud leaders try to keep others from gaining power or influence. They limit people's exposure and stifle leadership development. They tend to curtail information and keep power within an arms length of their control.
Takes complete credit for a team's success – There is only one clear winner on a proud leader's team…the proud leader. Proud leaders take the microphone first. They have their name on every award. They keep the prime, attention-gaining assignments for themselves. They make sure they are in the "right place at the right time", so no one steals their potential for applause.
Fails to see personal shortcomings – The proud leader becomes immune to his or her own deficiencies. Pride keeps him or her from getting honest about their weaknesses with anyone, including themselves. Proud leaders are careful to present themselves as flawless, whether in personal appearance or job performance. They may go to extreme measures to cover up any hint of an insufficiency.
Solicits grandstanding on their behalf – You'll know about a proud leader's accomplishment. They'll be the first to start the cheers on their behalf. Proud leaders say things which promote the receiving of positive encouragement or feedback. They've been known to stage things so it doesn't look like they initiated the recognition.
Removes God out of the supreme position – The ultimate danger of a leader struggling with pride is to remove God from the seat of control. Proud leaders refuse to submit to the will of God, preferring to chart their own path.
What other dangers have you seen in proud leaders?
Be honest, do you see yourself struggling in any of these areas? Is pride an issue for you?

My Thoughts About This = Miraculous Musings! J
Proud leaders who are blinded by their pride can't really see that they have flip-flop their call to God 1st with a call 1st to a successful ministry with "Self Kudos" deceptively embedded in their will-powered goals! You become their avenue to success instead of their disciple of servant leadership. The Warrior fight is no longer for or about The Kingdom, but for and about cultural title and positional rights. Pride in a leader disrupts Kingdom flow and then ministry becomes all about temporal earthly shows instead of Kingdom gain which is simply-significantly eternal. Organization or Organism? I served a proud leader once and it completely emptied me and left me crashed and burned. Now I serve on a team where our servant leader is called to God 1st, and we are continuously pointed to God, making sure that we are not kindling our own light, walking by a man made fire which will burn out. Prideful leaders walk by a man made fire and they and their team will lay down in torment – been there experienced that! Humble leaders, seeking the heart of God 1st, chasing after God 1st, walk by the Light of God, called to God 1st.
Man made light propelled by pride or God LIGHT impassioned by humility! Which one do you lead with? Which one does your leadership team walk in? I have been hurt terribly by one and encouraged greatly by the other! This verse also forever changed my life years ago:
Isaiah 50: 10 Who among you fears the LORD and obeys the word of his servant? Let the one who walks in the dark, who has no light, trust in the name of the LORD and rely on their God. 11 But now, all you who light fires and provide yourselves with flaming torches, go, walk in the light of your fires and of the torches you have set ablaze. Dear Bob and Kim,
Have you ever noticed that many times our good works work against us? I have many times... and that's OK. Why? Because we serve Jesus Christ, and not for our own glory and not for other people's glory, but for His.
Too many times God's people desire an appreciation "fix" from the people they serve. They feel slighted/hurt/offended if they don't get an expected reward or "thank you" for their efforts. Some even become angry if they don't receive an outward sign of appreciation like an award, certificate, or honorarium when they do something good for someone or for the church. Is our motivation all about pleasing ourselves and our peers? Let's hope not. Please don't misunderstand what I am saying. Receiving an honor or recognition from others, in itself is not a bad thing. Our motivation is what is judged by God. If we do good works in order to please man or to earn a reward from man, we need to review our motives and conduct a thorough self examination.
Isaiah 64:6 All of us have become like something unclean, and all our righteous acts are like a polluted garment; all of us wither like a leaf, and our iniquities carry us away like the wind.
Why do you do what you do for the Lord and His church? Think about it today.

I think we constantly need to be checking out our position. Where are we positioned in our ministry? Called to God 1st? Or called to our "ministry"? Our hearts are deceitful at times and our motives follow after our hearts. Staying in a personal relationship with God is vital! Omnipresent Reality Check? Am I positioned in God 1st? Do I care more about the Kingdom of God gains or temporal earthly gains for a "ministry"? Am I walking in personal pride or humble God seeking selflessness? Why? Why? Why? Because I love God with all my heart, soul, mind, will and spirit=completely! Because I so want to hear the passions of His heart and be a part of the flow of His Kingdom purposes in play! Because I want to abandon my everything to HIM 1st, to His Kingdom advancement! AWE-GOD! Let it be so in the Bride of Christ and in me, everyday, with everyone, everywhere He sends me!

Spiritual Labor
"Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain." 1 Corinthians 15:58
What is spiritual labor? It is work done with the Lord and for the Lord. It is a new mother rocking her baby, while she prays God's blessing over her little one. It is a blue-collar laborer, who, in Jesus name, is diligent in his or her duties. They are punctual when others are late and they are eager to work more, when others look for ways to work less. Spiritual labor sets high standards of service for the Lord.
Spiritual labor is an executive, a manager or administrative assistant who will not compromise their character to make more cash. Their word is their bond and their behavior points other people to Jesus. We are spiritual laborers when we do our work first and foremost for our heavenly Father. We stand firm in faith-motivated work and when we wake up every day grateful to represent Jesus in our job.
"We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ."
1 Thessalonians 1:3
This describes your public spiritual labor, but you are also called to be consistent in your private spiritual labor. Your personal empowerment by the Holy Spirit gives you courage for Christ and gumption for God. Your quieted soul quietly influences your noisy world. You go deep with Jesus in prayer and He expands your influence at home, in your community, and at your workplace.
Indeed, your spiritual labor is laborious. Thus, as you perspire for the Lord, pray to persevere through rejection and do not be surprised if your integrity irritates others. You continue to toil in trust, even when results are not immediately evident. Your higher calling from Christ fuels your service for Him. Let nothing move you from moving forward with God. Your spiritual labor in the Lord is not in vain, as it brings joy and satisfaction to you, Him, and friends!

Pure Joy
James 1:2-3"Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance."
Pure joy is the position and privilege of the person who follows Jesus Christ. Ironically, Jesus-generated joy is discovered and developed in the face of trials. Trials are designed to bring out God's best and, consequently, your best as well. You're going through your current trial by fire so that your faith can become more sincere and real during adversity's affliction. This is your time to experience God's faithfulness, for His joy and contentment are calming. The presence of Christ gives you reassurance and peace. He is the joy-giver, while Satan is the joy-killer.
Therefore, you can smile, because your smile, while enduring a trial, is the result of pure joy. It's pure joy because God can be trusted. It's pure joy because your faith is real and robust and Christ is faithful. It's pure joy because you will persevere by faith. Indeed, untested faith is a naïve faith. Until your faith has been refined through various trials, it will remain immature and judgmental. You can understand others' perspectives and respect them more when you have been broken over your own inadequacies and sins. Trials slow you down enough to allow you to look into the mirror and ask what needs to change. How can you lead and serve your family and friends during this time of unprecedented turmoil and tentativeness? Pure joy comes as a result of your faith changing and growing.
God is your agent of change. The work of God in and through your life produces pure joy. Change can be painful, but God administers pure joy at the point of your pain. It is the result of the Holy Spirit's fullness: "And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit" (Acts 13:52). Therefore, learn how to accept the pure joy of the Lord. It is available for you to receive. Do not see your present predicament as a setback. Instead, see your current condition as an opportunity—an opportunity to engage more deeply and more fully with your heavenly Father. Sometimes, it takes trials and tests to slow you down enough to look into the joyful face of Jesus. He is the personification of pure joy.
Jesus understood pure joy because He was focused on following the will of His Father (John 17:4). His heart was full of joy because He knew He was about His Father's business. Yes, His heart broke at times but He suffered out of joyful obedience (Hebrews 12:2). In the middle of His most adverse circumstance, Jesus still cried out to His heavenly Father. His intimacy with the Father was strengthened during difficulty. No person or circumstance, not even the devil, kept Him from pure joy.
Invite the pure joy of God to reign over your anxious heart as well. You can smile and place your refined faith in Him. He is building your faith capacity for the long run. The Bible says, "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit" (Romans 15:13). Pure joy does not depend on good circumstances; it thrives during trials and tribulations. Unleash the pure joy that already lives within, for He is faithful. Above all, promote pure joy and persevere in its promise.

Oh Thank You So Much! I have been struggling through this season of life, I know it has been in my own strength, because I keep failing. Going through is so different from "growing through" and if I want to grow through this, I need to fully face God and see HIS JOY, see the HOPE He has in HIS eyes for me. This put such a great perspective of pure joy into my heart. I am missing it, "pure joy" and I need it and desire it! My sites were set too low, I have been fighting for contentment in this season of life, desiring to learn how to be content with something I did not chose, and realizing it was chosen for me by my AWE-GOD. Now I realize with full peace that I must step up higher in my hopes and hope for pure joy, grow through with pure joy because contentment will be embedded in the pure joy. Oh I pray the pure joy of Jesus will be unleashed in me. Thank you again…

I will be praying for you. I honestly believe because of our human condition, because of all the things we "feel" we need, we can get soul tied to something God does not want us too. God will keep you desiring Him 1st. Really it is a simple yet significant adjustment that we have to make to be called to God 1st, to love God 1st, to love God completely. I have no doubt God will work this out in you, His love will compel you to love Him with an undivided heart like it says in Psalm 86:11 and it will motivate you to put all your expectations in HIM like it says in Psalm 62:5 and it will cause your mind to be continuously seeking His Understanding like it says in Prov 3:5-6. God just wants to be your full focus, so position your life so you are fully facing Him and that will truly help you get a supernatural soul tie to God 1st and it will break the natural soul ties that should not be there, that cause you pain. You want to braid yourself in with God's life, so you become a three strand cord that is not easily broken as it says in Eccles 4:9-12 with a Kingdom focus that is not dependent on the temporary of this world, but is deeply rooted in God's Kingdom, our home. Do what it takes to make God your 1st love and let everything else revolve around this relationship with God. I pray this for you. Cling tightly to God's Love, dig your roots deeply in His Kingdom.

A Seasoned Servant Of God Has Encouraged Me Today
Charles Spurgeon said of those disciples in that boat, "These were the very souls who would one day steer the ship of the church through seas of blood. They would stand at the helm in the midst of hurricane winds stirred up by the enemies of God. They had to learn that fear would make them unfit for the work ahead."
Brothers and sisters, we do not know what lies ahead of us in this world. Our present trials may be a training-ground for tough times to come. As we trust in Him and not in ourselves, when the power of His people is broken, then He will stand up and the trumpet blast of victory will sound!
Jesus says to us today, "Be of good courage! I have overcome the world!"
Should we be surprised when storms rise up against us? The Son of God was a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. But after the suffering of His soul He saw the light of life!
We must go through the storm to get to that place of calm and peace. After struggling through the wilderness, we will enter the Promised Land. After the devil has tempted us, angels of God will visit us.
We can trust Him, knowing that no vessel with Christ onboard can ever go down! With our faith in Jesus, we can never be destroyed! Wait on the Lord, and smooth sailing and blue skies will be our reward!
The disciples, sitting in that unsinkable ship, after the wind and waves were made calm by the power of the Son of God, said to one another, "Who is this man? Even the wind and the waves obey Him!"
The World is the unsinkable ship of men, a titanic ship declared unsinkable by men, a monument to human pride. Those who put their faith in that worldly ship of pride will soon collide with disaster.
