Developing My AWE-GOD With An Attitude Of Gratitude!

2012 Awe-God Gratefulness! Jesus I am so grateful for Your heart of compassion and the tenderness that flows from it to us. You deeply care for us, nothing that comes out of Your heart is impure or shallow. I am grateful to have a relationship with YOU that is the purity of the passion of Your heart. I feel Your compassion for others, it compels me and I am grateful for it. Your compassion brings great purpose and life to me and others. Thank You Jesus for Your heart of compassion and the tenderness it steps out with. I am so grateful for it. AWE-GOD!

Nothing is so strong as gentleness, nothing so gentle as real strength.

M.E.A.L…. Meet With God! Examine The Word! Apply It To My Life! List My Learn!

What I loved so much about doing the 7/30 challenge from Pastor Bruce was that usually with reading plans, I was challenge to read so many chapters a day, but this format was meeting with God for 30 minutes and being in His Word and it really blessed me because it was relationally based 1st. I did not feel compelled to read so many chapters, I just simply met with God and began reading, examining, applying and listing. I am in the word a lot, but never a 30 minute span of M.E.A.L. and it was good for my soul. So I am going to keep a M.E.A.L. with Jesus in my weekly devotions!

John 2:14 Starting Here.

M.eet! Jesus I pray that You would be with me. Holy Spirit guide me as I read, apply it to my life as I examine Your Precious Word this morning. I ask you Holy Spirit to reveal Yourself to me. I want to know God better, I want to see Jesus and model my life after Him, I want to change to be less of me and more of YOU. AWE-TRIUNE God!

E.xamine!

15  And having made a lash (a whip) of cords, He drove them all out of the temple [enclosure]--both the sheep and the oxen--spilling and scattering the brokers' money and upsetting and tossing around their trays (their stands).16  Then to those who sold the doves He said, Take these things away (out of here)! Make not My Father's house a house of merchandise (a marketplace, a sales shop)! 17  And His disciples remembered that it is written [in the Holy Scriptures], Zeal (the fervor of love) for Your house will eat Me up. [I will be consumed with jealousy for the honor of Your house.] (amplified bible)

A.pply!

This is the 1st time I have seen Jesus that angry, that impassioned. His Father's house was so important to Him, that it be a place that was honored, that God be lifted up. He was angry that the merchants were doing business in His Father's house. You know the thought that comes to me is that we are the temple of the Lord and what kind of business are we doing in the Father's Temple. Am I honoring God 1st, or am I doing things in this temple for my personal gain. Do I take advantage of people in this temple, or do I put God 1st in this temple? Because from the above scripture, what we do in this temple of God, matters to Jesus, matters deeply to HIM.

Cross References:

Psalm 93 4 More than the sounds of many waters, Than the mighty breakers of the sea, The LORD on high is mighty. 5 Your testimonies are fully confirmed; Holiness befits Your house, O LORD, forevermore. (NASB)

Your testimonies are very sure; holiness [apparent in separation from sin, with simple trust and hearty obedience] is becoming to Your house, O Lord, forever. (Amplfied Bible)

E.xamine!

Jesus answered them, Destroy (undo) this temple, and in three days I will raise it up again.20  Then the Jews replied, It took forty-six years to build this temple (sanctuary), and will You raise it up in three days?21  But He had spoken of the temple which was His body.22  When therefore He had risen from the dead, His disciples remembered that He said this. And so they believed and trusted and relied on the Scripture and the word (message) Jesus had spoken.

A.pply!

Prophecy builds are faith. Jesus spoke prophetically and no one really got it until the prophecy was fulfilled and then it was brought to the remembrance of the disciples to build their faith, to undergird their belief and strengthen their trust. Prophecy is so important for us to know, to get into our hearts because it will help increase our faith and lead others to faith in Jesus. I have to smile at the reply of the Jews, it was so typical of our human condition to deal with all things surface, to not live life deeper with Jesus. So many things He said went deeper, were not for this earth but for His Kingdom. He spoke in a Kingdom Language that they did not hear because they were so focused on themselves, their ambitions, their self righteousness. Do I hear the Kingdom Language that is spoken to me daily or am I just hearing a selective worldly tune that is surface and does not reach deeply in my soul? Where is my discernment focused? Here or Kingdom? How deeply am I living life? Surface earthly concerns or Kingdom minded?

Psalm 16:10  For You will not abandon me to Sheol (the place of the dead), neither will You suffer Your holy one [Holy One] to see corruption.

I did not even see that in this scripture, he is talking about Jesus. I see it now!

L.ist!

Jesus help me to live deeper. I am just scratching the surface of life by being so focused on earthly concerns first. Help me Holy Spirit to be more discerning of Kingdom Things, to hear Your Kingdom Language, to set my heart by my Kingdom, my future home and not this home. Lead me to prophecy that I might be more aware and know more of what makes my faith real, the prophecies fulfilled, helping others to see the plan of God that is, was and will be forever!

Romans 5:8-9

But God shows and clearly proves His [own] love for us by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) died for us.9 Therefore, since we are now justified (acquitted, made righteous, and brought into right relationship with God) by Christ's blood, how much more [certain is it that] we shall be saved by Him from the indignation and wrath of God.

Does God Love You When You Make Mistakes? By Joyce Meyer

Have you ever wondered if you are good enough for God to love you? Unfortunately, many people believe God loves them only as long as they don't make mistakes.

Perhaps it was this outlook that caused the psalmist to ask, "What is man that You are mindful of him?" (Psalm 8:4 AMP). Yet the Bible tells us that we are God's creation, the work of His hands-and that He loves each one of us unconditionally.

Let's face it: Jesus didn't die for you because you were great and wonderful; He died for you because He loves you. Romans 5:8-9 confirms this truth by telling us that He died for us while we were still sinners.

God loved you enough to give His only begotten Son, not only to die for your sins, but also to cover your daily mistakes. He loves you enough to get you through each day in power and victory.

God loves you, and He wants you to believe it and receive it all the time...even when you make mistakes.

Prayer Starter: Lord, Your love is incredible. You love me even when it doesn't make sense to me. When I make mistakes, You are still with me. Because of Jesus' sacrifice, my mistakes are covered. I receive Your love today.

My Thoughts About This = Miraculous Musings! J

Yes Lord, You do love me enough and that enough is what will "grow me" through this day, will help me face my challenges with Your Truth and lean upon Your Holy Spirit with great hope today! AWE-GOD!

Proverbs 28:1

THE WICKED flee when no man pursues them, but the [uncompromisingly] righteous are bold as a lion

Walk with Boldness By Joyce Meyer

Some people exude boldness, while others struggle with living boldly as a loved child of God. I had that problem until God showed me some important keys that helped me live boldly, and I want to share them with you.

1. Refuse to live in fear. Fear is an epidemic in our society. The Bible instructs us in Hebrews 10:38 to live by faith and not draw back in fear.

2. Put setbacks behind you. You are not a failure because you try new things and they don't work out. You fail only when you stop trying. Don't be afraid to make mistakes, and if you do, recover quickly and press on.

3. Don't draw comparisons. Boldness will be impossible as long as you compare yourself to others. Boldness comes from accepting who you are and being the best you can be.

4. Be willing to take action. Search your heart and ask yourself what you believe God wants you to do, and then do it.

Pray over these four keys, and ask the Holy Spirit to help you live them out. Hold up your head and be filled with boldness.

Prayer Starter: Holy Spirit, I want boldness to be one of my defining traits. Help me to live out these four keys by Your strength.

My Thoughts About This = Miraculous Musings! J

Lord I pray for boldness to be a part of my Christian life, as I am led by Your Holy Spirit. Setbacks is a big thing for me, failure is something that I fear and it keeps me from stepping out. Failure in relationships hinders me, it is a part of my past that haunts me as I try to step out in new things. Lord help me to learn to leave the setbacks from my past…back where they belong and move forward with you. Jesus!

A Minute With Maxwell

Disposition

When we think of this word, we think of a person's disposition. The DNA or the way a person is. The word is misunderstood because we look at it as a word that stereotypes us and fences us in. We place people in a box because of their disposition and think they can't change. Disposition is not a permanent thing, it is a natural leaning toward some kind of behavior. It is a choice and we can change it, putting our lives in a different disposition. Put yourself into a position not to buy into disposition as something that cannot be changed and every negative part of your disposition will be changed and you will have a positive disposition.

My Thoughts About This = Miraculous Musings! J

Wow that was a good one. I can see how we are stereotyped by our disposition and how we in relational ways, categorize others in by their disposition and sometimes do not even consider or open our heart to them because of their disposition. I liked how Pastor Maxwell showed that we have a natural lean into a personal disposition, but we can change that as we lean into God's Sovereign Sway! The key to disposition for me is learning to be open hearted like I read about recently how Nathanael had boxed Jesus into a Nazareth disposition. "Can anything good come out of Nazareth?" Yet Nathanael, being openhearted gave Jesus a chance to disprove the assumed disposition of Jesus' Nazareth heritage. When it comes to this word disposition, my growth area is learning to be "openhearted"!

Gilberto Mac-Knight · Top Commenter · Itatiba

For sure we all met people who think no one likes them. Who think the universe conspires against them, if anything goes wrong. Who, instead of celebrating an accomplishment, comments: "It was about time something worked out!".

A disposition is a habit, or a tendency to act in a specified way. This is an UNCONSCIOUS mood, the basic impulse which, as John said, can be CONSCIOUSLY changed and even educated to change. As almost all things in life, adopting a new, good and shining disposition depends on us. It takes determination and hard work, but what doesn't? :-)

Jeff Moore · Top Commenter · Owner at Southern Hospitality, Inc dba "Tabica Grill"

I am determined to be cheerful and happy in whatever situation I may find myself. For I have learned that the greater part of our misery or unhappiness is determined not by our.

circumstance but by our disposition. Thanks John.

Gregg Stone · Top Commenter · GRADUATED FROM THE SCHOOL OF HARD KNOCKS

Martha Washington said, "I am still determined to be cheerful and happy, in whatever situation I may be; for I have also learned from experience that the greater part of our happiness or misery depends upon our dispositions, and not upon our circumstances." If you are not happy with where you are in life, if you are discouraged, lonely, angry, etc. If you allow God to change your disposition, that will give you the opportunity to change your position. Have a blessed day.

A Seasoned Servant Of God Has Encouraged Me Today

Pastor Elliott Osowitt

1 John 5:19 We know that we are of God, and the whole world is under the sway of the evil one.

Dear Bob and Kim,

Have you ever heard the expression, "the more things change, the more they stay the same"? I was thinking about this as I was traveling on planes, trains, and automobiles this past week. I thought about how things have changed little since the beginning of time, as far as man is concerned. Since the fall of man in the Garden of Eden there has been an on-going battle between good and evil and it still comes down to choices. The most horrible example today is the war between Islam and the rest of the world - purely evil vs. good. Study the terrorizing tactics of Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Jihadists, and those of Israel to see how so many embrace the devil's ways and one tiny nation is fighting to survive and stay on the land promised to them by God.

But the greater battle occurs inside each one of us each and every day, hour, minute and second... the choices we make between doing good and doing evil. Sometimes it's a big sin, sometimes it just another selfish response to something. But it's the same evil that leads nations like Islam and Naziism, and every infamous person and nation in history who have produce terror, death, and destruction.

What will YOU choose today? You will receive many invitations to lose your temper, judge others, over eat, waste time, and commit all the other works of the flesh. I pray that you and I will be strong in the LORD today and reject all things that are not from God and seize every opportunity to bring honor and glory to the Lord Jesus Christ

Pastor Elliott

My Thoughts About This = Miraculous Musings! J

That is so true! From every moment to every choice God is in between with His truth, power and promise. The choice is ours, will we lean into the Sovereign Sway of God or will we fall into the sway of the evil one. I so want to lean into the Sovereign Sway of God and make the right choice the 1st time, from each moment to every step. Let it be so in us! This was good for me to read this Monday morning, because this past weekend, I failed the anger test and let my anger fly over a situation that was frustrating. I hate it when I fail, when I lean into the evil sway of human condition instead of the Sovereign Sway of God! Forgive me Lord, cause me to lean into Your Sovereign Sway from every moment to every action, reaction and choice!

Verse Of The Day@biblegateway.com

"It is written: "'As surely as I live,' says the Lord, 'every knee will bow before me; every tongue will acknowledge God.'"" Romans 14:11 NIV

Notes Typed As I Listened To Romans 14 From Audio Bible:

Accept people whose faith is weak without passing judgement on disputable things. Don't condemn, accept, who are you to judge God's servant? God is able to make him stand. Do everything unto the Lord. None of us lives for himself or dies for himself alone. We live unto the Lord, we belong to HIM. Why do you judge or look down on people? We all will stand before God's judgement seat. Every knee will bow before God and confess to God. Each one will give an account to God, so we don't have to pass judgement on others. If someone regards something as unclean, then don't eat it in front of them, this is love. The kingdom of God is a matter of righteousness peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Make every effort to do what leads to peace and mutual edification. It is wrong for a man to do something that makes someone else stumble. Blessed is the man who does not condemn himself by what He approves. Everything that does not come from faith is sin!

My Thoughts About This = Miraculous Musings! J

This is really a strong chapter on how to keep peace in relationships. The key thing is are we trusting and believing that God is a God of justice and He is the one who will cause each and every person to bow before HIM and confess the things of their lives. We don't hold anyone in account, God does and God will. We need to forbear with one another, bear each others weaknesses. If someone is struggling with alcohol, trying to not drink, then I should not drink a glass of wine in front of them. This is love. In every relationship, I need to keep the peace of God at the center of it. I won't answer to God for the differences I have with others, I will answer to God in how I handled those differences, was it in love and truth?

A Seasoned Servant Of God Has Encouraged Me Today

The Cross of Obedience By Anne Graham Lotz

"If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me."

Matthew 16:24, NIV

Are you repulsed by the thought of crucifixion? I am. But I also know that when I look into the eyes of Jesus, I see a cross! And He has said to me, "Anne, if you want to be My disciple, if you want to follow Me, you must deny yourself, take up your cross and follow Me. Because if you want to save your life, you're going to lose it in the end. If you choose to lose your life for Me, you will find it. For what good will it do you if you gain the whole world, yet forfeit your soul?" (Matt. 16:24-26, paraphrased).

The cross that Jesus commands you and me to carry is the cross of submissive obedience to the will of God, even when His will includes suffering and hardship and things we don't want to do. It is a willingness to totally, absolutely, irrevocably, and finally yield our lives to Him because we want what He wants more than what we want. Blessings, Anne Graham Lotz

My Thoughts About This = Miraculous Musings! J

This is a really good perspective of this verse! My Cross Jesus wants me to carry is submissive obedience to God's Will in all things the good and the bad and of course the things I don't want to do… a "completely"! Lately God has put in my spirit that I need to lean into His Sovereign Sway! I pray that will be so today! Jesus!

Worthy News Brief @worthyemail.com

Kimberly, embrace the desert!

Psalms 23:2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures: He leads me beside the still waters.

The average American who reads this passage probably thinks of green pastures as wide areas of unending soft green grass. But here in Israel the climate is so dry, that there's really no such thing.

Long ago, the shepherds of Israel learned to find grass where most people wouldn't think to look. Here, green pastures are created as the breeze from the Mediterranean Sea brings moisture into our arid climate. It is from this moisture that a kind of dew settles upon the sides of certain hills creating little tufts of grass -- just enough for one day's feeding for a flock of sheep. The shepherds would lead their flocks through the hot parched desert in search of these. It's no wonder those sheep would obey the shepherd's voice. They would easily die in the desert trying to survive on their own. The sheep learned to depend on the shepherd to daily lead them to their sustenance.

How many times does it feel like we're walking aimlessly through the desert and there doesn't seem any refreshment near? When our lives our bombarded with trial after trial it can feel this way. But we must keep in mind that though we are walking through the desert, our Shepherd is leading us to green pastures to be refreshed. And it's these times in the desert that God causes us to depend more upon on him. These thirsty times are special times -- times to be embraced! Worthyemail.com

Kimberly, don't despise those desert walks with the Shepherd and don't be afraid. God has something special for us there -- and there are green pastures near.

Your family in the Lord with much agape love, George, Baht Rivka, Elianna & Obadiah Negev Desert, Israel

Know that the Lord has set apart the godly for himself; the Lord will hear when I call to him. Psalm 4:3

God chooses His children for Himself. Our relationship with our Lord is all about Him. It is all about His desires, His pleasures, His vision, His goals, and His will. When we came to God we came empty handed, clinging only to the cross of Christ. So in our surrender to our Savior, we emptied ourselves and received Jesus. We went from self-sufficient to God-dependent. We went from flesh patterns to spiritual habits.

We went from ungodly to godly. We went from an impersonal relationship with a distant God to an intimate relationship with our heavenly Father, up close and personal. God chose us for Himself. Now in our engagement with eternity, we want what God wants. Our passions have been changed from the temporal to the eternal. We get excited over what excites God.

Furthermore, He wants us to know and not forget these basic tenets of Christianity. He knows we need to know. He knows that we need to know because we forget and revert back to beliefs that rival God's ownership of our lives. Because He owns us, He owns everything about us. You may be struggling with traveling overseas for the sake of His cause. But Jesus's commands are clear that we are to go into all the world and make disciples.

You may be too busy to build a relationship with your neighbors. But our sensitive Savior implores us to love them. Our words may say one thing, but our behavior brands us. What can we do today to set ourselves apart as His? Our distinctive may be to reflect a patient attitude, a caring comment, or sinless anger toward hypocrisy. We are at His disposal to carry out His desires. This is His expectation.

Moreover, God offers a clear channel of communication for His children. He hears when we call to Him. Prayer is not passive for our heavenly Father. He is interested in our intense circumstances and our heartfelt fears. Because we are His, He listens to and answers our prayers. It is not always the answer we expect it to be. He defines His will for us as much with his answers of "no" as He does with His answers of "yes."

Our prayers are a response to the love, respect, dependency, and trust we have in our heavenly Father. Because we are His, we come to Him often, as does a child in a healthy relationship with his or her parent. We have no need to fear, for our heavenly Father is near. He is near to listen and to love. He is near to forgive and heal. He is a prayer away.

The more we constantly converse with Christ, we will surely speak all the more boldly to men. Prayer is a purging and a preparation. It is God's platform to launch us into fields that are ripe for harvest. It is a preparation for engagement in the lives of people. Prayer fills us with love so we can be emptied of love. God chooses us, and what He chooses He makes holy. We are godly because we are God's. It is holiness that makes us fit to live with holy God forever. Without holiness we cannot see our Savior (Hebrews 12:14). Boldness follows seeing Jesus. Because He was poured out, we are sold out.

My Thoughts About This = Miraculous Musings! J

Wow! That was inspiring on so many levels and one thing really struck me that I need to change right away, was the times that God is using me to engage with people (I chat host for the online services at my church), those times that I know about in advance, where I will be specifically engaging with people, I need to stop and purposefully pray to be filled with God's Love so I can empty out His love to the people I am engaging with!

Exhortation- The Shepherd's Communicated Love-Wisdom!

I truly believe we are to be "called to God 1st" and out of that personal engagement with God, we will be seeking His Kingdom 1st. God won't keep you in the dark about whether you should work or should not work. When you are called to HIM 1st, He will guide you step by step, open the doors for you according to that which He has called you too. He is Your Provider and from every moment to every choice, He is Your Way-Maker. Everything you do, you do unto Him and I call that "working for Jesus" full out and All in with HIM. I believe the ways and the means, He takes care of. Look to HIM, He will show you that next step and He will provide for whatever He has called you too! God bless you!

Hey BBConline groupies! LOL! I read this today and was really convicted because I really need to take some time to purposefully and intentionally pray before I step into the online chat room on Sunday and Thursday, be filled up with God so I can be emptied out for God!

"Prayer is a preparation for engagement in the lives of people. Prayer fills us with love so we can be emptied of love… Boldness follows seeing Jesus. Because He was poured out, we are sold out!" Quote By Boyd Baily http://www.wisdomhunters.com/2012/04/chosen-by-god-2/

a.w.tozer quotes from "the knowledge of the holy"

Infinitude, of course, means limitlessness, and it is obviously impossible for a limited mind to grasp the Unlimited.

#AWE-GOD "He is greater than all language, and no statement can express Him.

Chance and change are busy in our little world of nature and men, but in Thee we find no variables nor shadow of turning.

To say God is immutable is to say that He never differs from Himself.

Any deterioration within the unspeakably holy nature of God is impossible. His perfections forever rule out any such possibility.

Holy Spirit Inspired…. He speaks, I listen and obey… Thank you for teaching Me!

Galatians 1:12 (NLT) I received my message from no human source, and no one taught me. Instead, I received it by direct revelation from Jesus Christ.

Excerpts From: Elmer L. Towns "365 Ways To Know God"

September 18th: THE HOLY SPIRIT: THE SPIRIT OF MIGHT

Isaiah 11:2 And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord

Amplified Bible

Excerpts From Book:

He can forgive your sins, fix your life, guide you this day and keep you from the Evil One. He can accomplish God's perfect plan in your life.

The secret of the Christ life is NOT to have great faith in God, the secret is to HAVE Faith in a great God! Elmer L. Towns

Don't just pray for greater faith, pray for understanding of God; then you can have greater faith. Elmer L. Towns

Luke 17:5 The apostles said to the Lord, Increase our faith (that trust and confidence that spring from our belief in God).

Key Thought: You don't need greater faith; you need a greater understanding of God

My Thoughts About This = Miraculous Musings! J

The only way to get a greater faith is to be in the Word, to be hearing the promises of God, to be learning about how great God is, to be developing your AWE of God. This will increase my faith! Lately I feel I should make a file on all the fulfilled prophecies from the OT, because they are documented proof of God's Work here on earth, they would totally boost my faith! Increase my "knowing" of YOU, Lord God and my faith will increase! Let it be so!
