"The manna of one day was corrupt when the next day came. I must every day have fresh grace from heaven, and I obtain it only in direct waiting upon God Himself. Begin each day by tarrying before God, and letting Him touch you."

Road Trip 2 endurance/promises for soul nourishment

Psalm 1:1-3 Two Ways to Live

Happy are those who don't listen to the wicked, who don't go where sinners go, who don't do what evil people do. 2 They love the Lord's teachings, and they think about those teachings day and night. 3 They are strong, like a tree planted by a river. The tree produces fruit in season, and its leaves don't die. Everything they do will succeed. 4 But wicked people are not like that. They are like chaff that the wind blows away.

Road Trip personal thoughts!

I am finding that endurance is not something that is mustered up by human will. Nope!!! Can't do it! As I give my life to Jesus each and every day, dedicating it to Him, He takes the imperfections and His strength flows into them. It is a miraculous thing that happens every day as I sit with Him. He is so faithful in an amazing way. No one has ever been that trustworthy in my life. I know I let people down, and they let me down. I usually tell people not to put me up on a pedestal because I will fall off! Definitely so! Jesus is the only one Who has never let me down, He has always been there for me, day by day by day! I take great courage in His Presence each day, knowing that He has the best in store for me. Days I get up and my day may not look like the best is yet to come, but I know by the experiences I have had with Jesus, that it is. It is all good…eventually! I can see how He has worked out His purposes in every single situation of my life, good and bad circumstances alike! He is always there in the unseen, working His purposes for my good! Always! It is something I can count on in a world where there is not much stability to tally up, HE IS! This is the 28th day of this journey and I have stayed faithful because of His strength, choice by choice! I am growing 2 go unto endurance! Thank you Jesus for the daily wisdom, encouragement and strength. I am celebrating day 28th because I realize that I am no longer chaff blown away in the winds of this world. I am deeply rooted in Christ Jesus!

Road Trip : 2 endurance: attitude- paced- 2-appreciate!

  1. Lord I thank You for the strength You are in my life!
  2. I so appreciate Your courage, I tap into it every single step of this new adventure.
  3. Thank you Jesus for speaking to my heart each day with daily manna, through Your Word.
  4. I am grateful for a God Who cares enough about every single situation of my life to work until it brings forth a good purpose.
  5. Jesus, I am so grateful for stability that comes from You! What a gift that is in this unstable world.
  6. I thank you Father God for being so trustworthy, worthy of my praise!
  7. Jesus, you never let me down. I am grateful to be able to put all my expectations in Your Mighty Right Hand.

Grow-2-Go!

Day 27: Tuesday, January 27 2009:

Road Trip personal thoughts!

I am realizing that the Word of God is really key to my endurance. I get the Word in my heart in so many ways. Bible, Study Books, Christian Novels, Devotionals, Music and when I am saturated with the Word, my ability to endure really soars higher above my situations. Foundations for my emotions are what either bring up the anxiety or pace my gait in courage. Every day is an adventure and I step out into God's Presence, depending upon Him. Yet, things never go as I plan them and it is those times that I make the choice to go my way or go His way. Emotionally that choice really matters. My way is not really a good foundation for my emotions because this world is very unstable and uncertain… up and down! Jesus, His Kingdom is stable, sure and incorruptible and when I anchor my hope in His Word, I too endure and grow through my life in a stable, sure and incorruptible way!

Matthew 7:24-27

The Wise and Foolish Builders

"So then, everyone who hears my words and puts them into practice is like a wise man. He builds his house on the rock. 25 The rain comes down. The water rises. The winds blow and beat against that house. But it does not fall. It is built on the rock. But everyone who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man. He builds his house on sand. 27 The rain comes down. The water rises. The winds blow and beat against that house. And it falls with a loud crash."

Psalm 119:30-40

I have chosen the way of truth and faithfulness; Your ordinances have I set before me. 31I cleave to Your testimonies; O Lord, put me not to shame! 32I will [not merely walk, but] run the way of Your commandments, when You give me a heart that is willing. 33Teach me, O Lord, the way of Your statutes, and I will keep it to the end [steadfastly]. 34Give me understanding, that I may keep Your law; yes, I will observe it with my whole heart.(H) 35Make me go in the path of Your commandments, for in them do I delight. 36Incline my heart to Your testimonies and not to covetousness (robbery, sensuality, unworthy riches).(I) 37Turn away my eyes from beholding vanity (idols and idolatry); and restore me to vigorous life and health in Your ways. 38Establish Your word and confirm Your promise to Your servant, which is for those who reverently fear and devotedly worship You.(J) 39Turn away my reproach which I fear and dread, for Your ordinances are good. 40Behold, I long for Your precepts; in Your righteousness give me renewed life.

Only 4 God!

Exhortation From Father God To America:

"ONLY 4 GOD!"

"No soul can be really at rest until it has given up all dependence on everything else and has been forced to depend on the Lord alone. As long as our expectation is from other things, nothing but disappointment awaits us. Feelings may change, and will change with our changing circumstances; doctrines and dogmas may be upset; Christian work may come to naught; prayers may seem to lose their fervency; promises may seem to fail; everything that we have believed in or depended upon may seem to be swept away, and only God is left, just God, the bare God, if I may be allowed the expression; simply and only God."

Quote By: Hannah Whitall Smith

Deuteronomy 29:24-28

All the nations will ask, 'Why has the LORD done this to this land? Why this great outburst of anger?' 25 Then people will answer, 'It is because they abandoned the covenant of the LORD, the God of their fathers, which He had made with them when He brought them out of the land of Egypt. (A) 26 They began to worship other gods, bowing down to gods they had not known—gods that the LORD had not permitted them [to worship]. (B) 27 Therefore the LORD's anger burned against this land, and He brought every curse written in this book on it. 28 The LORD uprooted them from their land in [His] anger, fury, and great wrath, and threw them into another land where they are today.'

Economic Stimulus….Stock Market…. State of the economy…. is all everyone seems to be focused on and talking up these days! This morning the Lord spoke to my heart and shared with me that the true problems of our country go far beyond the symptoms that we endure in this 2009 recession.

"In what can I hope, then, or in whom ought I trust, save only in the great mercy of God and the hope of heavenly grace? For though I have with me good people, devout brethren, faithful friends, holy books, beautiful treatises, sweet songs and hymns, all these help and please but little when I am abandoned by grace and left to my poverty. At such times there is no better remedy than patience and resignation of self to the will of God."

Quote By: Thomas a Kempis

Exhortation From The Lord To America:

Dig deeper America! Economic Stimulus and the State of Your Economy is not what you need to be worried about, it is the surface of a very deep root of contention between you America and I, Almighty God. You have chosen to shut Me out of your economy, of your united states and therefore are abandoning Our Covenant, the Allegiance of Righteousness that you stomp on choice, by choice by choice. Because you America are choosing to go with the convenient and forsake the hard choices of doing what is right, in your all and everything, the consequences are seen on the surface of your countries soul! What happened, America to our Holy Alliance?

"God sent Elijah to the brook and it dried up. It did not prove equal to the need of the prophet. It failed; God knew it would; He made it to fail. "The brook dried up." This is an aspect of the Divine providence that sorely perplexes our minds and tries our faith. God knows that there are heavenly whispers that men cannot hear till the drought of trouble and perhaps weariness has silenced the babbling brooks of joy. And He is not satisfied until we have learned to depend, not upon His gifts, but upon Himself."

Quote By: Percy Ainsworth

Psalm 62:5-6

Only -- for God, be silent, O my soul, For from Him [is] my hope. 6Only -- He [is] my rock and my salvation, My tower, I am not moved.

Young's Literal Translation (YLT) Public Domain

Things are rocking loose on the surface, but even so deeper, you stand to lose something much more valuable than the money you so vicariously print…. YOU ARE LOSING MY FAVOR! I AM has made The United States Of America the greatest nation in the world. I AM founded your nation upon the strength of the principles of My Kingdom. No man can give you the favor I hold in My Mighty Right Hand, yet you abandon My Covenant, at every turn of the law and you crush the spirit of My life in the heart of your land. That which you choose America, will be so!

The United States Of America has enjoyed the freedom, liberty and justice of Almighty Father God, therefore I call you to think on this exhortation I speak to you today and do a U-Turn from your present course, before you run amuck the freedom of your country with all the principles of law, civility and justice cut from the cords of My Favor, Power and Might!

"Every now and again, Our Lord lets us see what we would be like if it were not for Himself; it is a justification of what He said - "Without Me you can do nothing." That is why the bedrock of Christianity is personal, passionate devotion to the Lord Jesus."

Quote By: Oswald Chambers My Utmost for His Highest

Is this what you want America? Because your freedom is about to hit a dead end! America! Wake Up! Shake Off This Luke-warmness That Has Settled Like A Dense Fog Across Your Land, This Lawlessness That Chokes The Life Out Of Your Freedom And Put Me 1st! One Nation Under God, Indivisible With Liberty And Justice For All!

"Here is the life of prayer, when in or with the Spirit, a man being made sensible of sin, and how to come to the Lord for mercy; he comes, I say, in the strength of the Spirit, and crieth Father. That one word spoken in faith, is better than a thousand prayers, as men call them, written and read, in a formal, cold, lukewarm way."

Quote By: John Bunyan

ONLY 4 Me will you stand America! Choose ME now or face the consequences of your disobedient, unrighteous, foolish and politically enticed, lukewarm choices! Or…do without MY FAVOR. Do what is right, be a country of excellence in Your all in all and choose to be ONLY 4 ME in your all and everything! Do not be so foolish to even entertain the thoughts that you do not need me America! Apart from me, you cannot sustain a United States!

"[God desires] not that He may say to them, "Look how mighty I am, and go down upon your knees and worship," for power alone was never yet worthy of prayer; but that He may say thus: "Look, my children, you will never be strong but with my strength. I have no other to give you. And that you can get only by trusting in me. I can not give it you any other way. There is no other way."

Quote By George Macdonald

I AM THE civil in your national civility, THE FAVOR of your national freedom, THE FORCE behind your national free-will, THE PREREQUISITE of Your national provisions, THE SAFEGUARD of your national security, THE LAW of your national liberty, THE FOUNDATION of your national fitness, and THE PRIMACY of your national purpose! I AM! Therefore, think on these things and make the right choice America to be found IN ME- ONLY 4 Me!"

Romans 6:18-20

You were made free from sin, and now you are slaves to goodness.19 I use this example because this is hard for you to understand. In the past you offered the parts of your body to be slaves to sin and evil; you lived only for evil. In the same way now you must give yourselves to be slaves of goodness. Then you will live only for God. 20 In the past you were slaves to sin, and goodness did not control you.

"As the strongest faith may be shaken, so the weakest, where truth is, is so far rooted that it will prevail. Weakness with watchfulness will stand, when strength with too much confidence fails. Weakness, with acknowledgment of it, is the fittest seat and subject for God to perfect His strength in; for consciousness of our infirmities drives us out of ourselves to Him in whom our strength lies."

Quote By: Richard Sibbes

Romans 12:1-3

I APPEAL to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship. 2Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you]. 3For by the grace (unmerited favor of God) given to me I warn everyone among you not to estimate and think of himself more highly than he ought [not to have an exaggerated opinion of his own importance], but to rate his ability with sober judgment, each according to the degree of faith apportioned by God to him.

Road Trip 2 endurance/promises for soul nourishment

"God of our life, there are days when the burdens we carry chafe our shoulders and weigh us down; when the road seems dreary and endless, the skies grey and threatening; when our lives have no music in them, and our hearts are lonely, and our souls have lost their courage. Flood the path with light, run our eyes to where the skies are full of promise; tune our hearts to brave music; give us the sense of comradeship with heroes and saints of every age; and so quicken our spirits that we may be able to encourage the souls of all who journey with us on the road of life, to Your honour and glory." Quote By Augustine

Hebrews 13:5-6

Don't be obsessed with getting more material things. Be relaxed with what you have. Since God assured us, "I'll never let you down, never walk off and leave you," we can boldly quote, God is there, ready to help; I'm fearless no matter what. Who or what can get to me?

Road Trip personal thoughts!

Walk the talk! If you say it, you need to do it! Don't say it until you can be it! Hmmmm! I have had many heroes in my life that truly walked what they talked and left a lasting impression upon my life! Of course my favorite hero is Jesus Christ! I love everything about Him! Every day I learn something new about Jesus and it inspires me, challenges me to rise up to new heights as a Champion In Christ! One of my hero's here in this world is my son, Sergeant Christopher McCarthy USMC!

God has used Chris's life to teach this Marine Mom, volumes! The Lord reminded me of something today! My son' s unit called him "The Motivator" and I realize that he did not earn that knick name because of how persuasively he spoke, even though he is an amazing communicator! He earned that knick name because of what he did to back up His Words. He spoke like a confident well trained soldier, but He also acted like a courageous well trained Marine in the battles he faced. Chris was first out to lead his unit in battle, he risked his life to save other soldiers in trouble and when his unit was pinned down for hours and it looked like all was lost, he motivated them not to give up; and when His words became actions, they made their final stand with the rest of their ammo and they charged the enemy with a burst of courage and valor!

The Motivator, was not just all words and no action, he courageously led the charge, which in the end was a battle won and an unsuspecting enemy defeated! Endurance is not about what I say, it is about doing what God has trained me to do, and no matter what-- choice by choice I can be bold, strong and courageous as I am found in Christ Jesus! I can Grow 2 Go unto endurance!

Road Trip personal thoughts!

When things don't go my way, it is not necessarily a "bad" thing but in Christ is a "best" thing! On this Road Trip God Adventure, I am learning that God has a sense of humor and an incredible imagination! If I just let go and let God have His way, by letting go of what I want and yielding it to Him, I am realizing that a little sacrifice of my-me yields a lot of newness of Him and that is not at all bad… in the end it is all eventually good, better and best! Just Do It! Be found in Him! Yes, I am learning that the emphasis is not on who I am, but on WHOSE I am! Yes, I can see it in me, in my reactions and responses to things that suddenly pop up in my life path! Lately I have started to learn how to flip-flop my perspective of my-me to being His. I don't have an over balanced highlighting on who I am, but am leaning more towards WHOSE I am! That is a good thing! God is changing me!

  • Lord, I so appreciate You not giving up on me! Thank you for changing me, making me better because of You!
  • Father God, I am so thankful for Your sense of humor. I feel You smile when I get very uncomfortable on this Road Trip Adventure, because You know I need it, the discomfort teaches me good things!
  • I am so thankful for WHOSE I am! I belong to the Father God, Who cares so much about me, cares for me in ways that I cannot even begin to imagine!
  • I am so grateful for the NEWNESS of My GOD! Every day in every way He makes all things new!
  • I am so grateful for Your Excellence Lord Jesus! Your Glory Shines in all You do and the Purity of Your Holiness is a force to be reckoned with in this world!
  • Thank you Light of the World! Your Word Is Light For My Feet!
  • Thank you Lord Jesus! Thank you Holy Spirit! Thank you Father God! Triune Glory! AHHHHHHHHH!

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don't try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God's voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he's the one who will keep you on track. Don't assume that you know it all. Run to God! Run from evil! Your body will glow with health, your very bones will vibrate with life! Honor God with everything you own; give him the first and the best. Your barns will burst, your wine vats will brim over. But don't, dear friend, resent God's discipline; don't sulk under his loving correction. It's the child he loves that God corrects; a father's delight is behind all this.

The First Song I Sing By Sara Groves

Road Trip personal thoughts!

One thing God is changing in me in 2009 is praise! I am learning the true heart of praise and how much I need it, how much I have missed out on the shaping of my attitude of endurance! Praise keeps me enduring from bad to good unto heavenly hindsight! Praise has been something that has been so lacking in my walk with God. This God Adventure Journey, Grow 2 Go is teaching me praise priority! Undivided heart of praise!

  • I praise You Lord God, that You are Omnipresent! Always there for me! Morning, noon and night! Always!
  • I praise You Lord that You are the God of abundance! I have more than enough!
  • I praise You Lord that You fill me every day from top to bottom and I need to praise You because I am bubbling over!
  • I praise You Lord God, You are my chosen King! Abba Father! Jesus! Holy One!
  • I praise You Father God! 1st God! The One Who Chose Me! Praise You 1st One!
  • I praise You Jesus, My God of Purpose!
  • I praise You Jesus, My God of Provision!
  • I praise You Jesus, My God of Protection!

Road Trip personal thoughts!

Habitual Obedience, choice by choice! I woke up with this thought on my heart this morning and it was very convincing because I realized, I am walking it out right now in my Road Trip God Adventure: Grow 2 Go unto endurance! God was speaking to me this morning as I stirred about being habitually obedient, choice by choice. He has shown me on this journey that my goal is not what I set my pace to, that I set my sights on Him and that I obey Him choice by choice. I have been doing this and seeing just how much my endurance has strengthened. That is why I am convinced into my 24th and 25th day of this journey, habitual obedience to Jesus Christ, choice by choice, is the way His character of endurance is written upon our hearts and life. Obedience is not a goal anymore to me; it is a choice, from moment to moment, situation to situation!

I think about all those "suddenly" situations that pop up in my life and how my independent nature seems to impulsively gear up and do the same stupid things over and over! I can call it what I may, but in the end it plays out as a bad habit! A few days ago I read a scripture about Jesus and what He did when He found out that his cousin, John was beheaded. Meekness…. Power under control! I would not have wanted to be the person who beheaded John the Baptist if this were not so, if Jesus decided impulsively to take his anger, remorse and hurt out on others! No! He withdrew to His Father. Power under self control=dependence upon His Father!

Independence is the root of all my painful, regretful consequences! I thought I could handle something by myself that suddenly rose up in my life and remorseful consequences still lurk around because of a "suddenly" that I thought I had all under control! Ahhhhhh Lord God! ALL of who I am, must be under the control of ALL of Who you are in my ALL through YOUR Everything! I need to model what You showed me from Your life here on earth! Life really can't be all about who I am as much as it should be about Whose I am!

Road Trip personal thoughts!

There are times when nothing I do can help me calm the emotions of my spirit or find a place of peace in my restless mind or stop the carnal impulsive of my will to feed my wants or keep my heart in pace with the right attitude and the Holy Spirit. At times I feel completely lost at "doing" this life and deeply desire to be found in You, to rest only in the Presence of Your Peace and find my confidence, courage and compassion that I need to overcome me. More of You, Lord Jesus….Less of Me! Choice by Choice! So Be It Today! I bow before You Jesus… at The Cross!

Road Trip 2 endurance/promises for soul nourishment

"To believe that He will preserve us is, indeed, a means of preservation. God will certainly preserve us, and make a way of escape for us out of the temptation, should we fall. We are to pray for what God has already promised. Our requests are to be regulated by His promises and commands. Faith embraces the promises and so finds relief."

Jesus heard what had happened to John. He wanted to be alone. So he went in a boat to a quiet place. The crowds heard about this. They followed him on foot from the towns.

1 Peter 1:18-21

You must know (recognize) that you were redeemed (ransomed) from the useless (fruitless) way of living inherited by tradition from [your] forefathers, not with corruptible things [such as] silver and gold,19But [you were purchased] with the precious blood of Christ (the Messiah), like that of a [sacrificial] lamb without blemish or spot. 20It is true that He was chosen and foreordained (destined and foreknown for it) before the foundation of the world, but He was brought out to public view (made manifest) in these last days (at the end of the times) for the sake of you. 21Through Him you believe in (adhere to, rely on) God, Who raised Him up from the dead and gave Him honor and glory, so that your faith and hope are [centered and rest] in God.

Road Trip personal thoughts!

When I started on this Road Trip God Adventure- Grow 2 Go… unto Endurance! I knew God called me to this adventure with Him for this year, also knew without a doubt that there was no earthly way I could do it. I am learning that hope that is centered in Christ Jesus and hopes in His Promise is a HUGE HOPE, one that will endure. I can't hope in myself, that I have what it takes in a world such as this. Emotionally, I do not believe we were created to endure the consequences of such escalated sin. I need Jesus. I need His life, His Mind, His Soul, His Will, His Spirit personally intertwined with mine. (One of my favorite verses is in Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 because it talks about a three strand cord is not easily broken…Jesus, Holy Spirit, God The Father… you know I am going to right there in the middle of that strong cord!! Just a side not too about my marriage! It is a three strand cord not easily broken: Bob, Kim, Jesus! Hooorah! PS watch the movie FIREPROOF! Be A Three Strand Cord!!) Traditions, rules, laws and religiosity is just not going to cut it for me anymore, if I want to endure. I believe in God, yet my faith does not stop there. I adhere to His Promises and rely on His purposes being worked out in my life through His Holy Spirit! I center my faith in Christ Jesus, having no faith in men, no expectations in this world and therefore my faith can rest in God. As a Champion in Christ Jesus, I realize that when I get up each morning to run my race, I must first center my faith, my belief, my trust in the Kingdom of God right off the starting block I must be set and readied by resting my hope, my expectations my desires in the Lord of this Kingdom, Jesus Christ! Set! Ready! Grow 2 Go! Endure!

Streams In The desert by l.b.cowan

"There is no music during a musical rest, but the rest is part of making the music. In the melody of our life, the music is separated here and there by rest. During those rests, we foolishly believe we have come to the end of the song. God sends us times of forced leisure by allowing sickness and disappointed plans and frustrated efforts. He brings a sudden pause in the choral hymn of our lives, and we lament that our voices must be silent. We grieve that our part is missing in the music that continually rises to the ear of the Creator. Yet, how does the musician read the rest? He counts the break with unwavering precision and plays his next note with confidence, as if no pause where ever there. God does not write the music of our lives without a plan. Our part is to learn the tune and not be discouraged during the rests." John Ruskin

Road Trip personal thoughts!

Bad news touches all around me this day, in those so close to my heart as we all suffer through this down spiraling economy, my first response is sometimes fear, worry, anxiety. I find my impulsive nature rises up at the first sound of alarm. I want to fix it, by my own devices so that others don't suffer. Yet I know as I turn to God and see Him Spirit-to-spirit, that I must do what He says!

Road Trip ramah: Spiritual Nourishment 4 strength!

I woke up this morning and it was dark and cold. I don't turn on my own light, or kindle my own fire. I dependently seek first The Presence of My Lord, My King! I await His daily miracle that takes place in me as The Son of God rises upon His Kingdom in my heart. Faithfully, His Presence enlightens Me, His Light in me glows strong and true at the dawn of each new day. In His Presence this day, I see glimmers of God's wisdom speaking forward in loud, brilliant majesty, echoing His truth in my mind as streams of His strength envelop my will in multicolored chords of His joy. I sit in God's Presence as He conquers all the carnality of my inner personality, and swathes my soul in the purity of His radiant glory-glow! As I stand on this Holy Kingdom Ground, He prepares me, guides me by His Holy Spirit and I step out into this new day with fresh revelation, one foot at a time placed into His footsteps that He has personally imprinted, designed to fit His Champions pace. A new day, a new adventure begins, as the reflection of His Huge Hope sets upon the countenance of my spirit and I once again realize the splendor of my salvation! I get set in His plan, ready in His purpose and I grow to go to whatever divine appointments He has for me today! Yes, it is a new day and wherever my God Adventure leads this day, I will run my race with excellence upon my destined life path as I keep my promise to keep pace with the Holy Spirit choice by choice! Therefore, as I run my champions race today, I am once again, covered in the Shadow of Almighty God's Glory, Jesus Christ! This is the day the Lord has made, I will rejoice in it, I will glow His Glory leaving a dusting of glory behind so those who get lost along the way can follow footsteps that lead to good news! A true Champion in Christ Jesus always leaves a daily footprint that glows in God's Glory, a living legacy of those who walk in His steps, in pace with His Holy Spirit! Be that Champion. Just Do It!

Today, I will be found in Him! I'll Do What He Says!

Road Trip personal thoughts!

I think that my life on this Road Trip Adventure is hard! How dare I? That is how I feel after what God taught me yesterday. People are truly suffering and I have no idea with it feels like to go without. I have so much! I watched people stand in line for hours in the cold weather waiting to go into the food pantry at the Dream Center and get a couple of bags of food. I watched people get turned away when there was no food left, knowing that it would be Thursday until they could try again to get food. Lord, I feel ashamed of myself, that I would even begin to think that I am going without my comfort foods and whining about that. How sad am I? I am sorry Lord. I do not appreciate what I have. I want more, but I really don't need it, so many others have nothing. Please forgive me.

I think I get my needs confused with my wants! God gives me what He thinks I need and what He thinks and I think are very, very different. He is looking out for my best from an infinite perspective and I am wanting what I want from a finite prospective. It is differs at times….greatly! I am thankful for this promise, because I know that God will provide for me exactly what I need and not what I want and because of that… I will Grow to 2 and be the best I can be in Him.

Road Trip personal thoughts!

Yesterday was a tough day trying to shake this flu. It was funny as I sat on the couch, with the fever and chills, watching Hallmark channel and all the commercials were pizza and Hersey's chocolate…. God has a sense of humor. I am learning how valuable the wisdom of Choice by Choice is. I realize now that I used to give up at this point where I wanted something so badly and I would just ditch the whole goal. But last night I struggled with a choice, one choice and I began the fight with my eyes on Jesus, asking for His help for this choice. Wella!!! He did, and I did not cave into having the chocolate I wanted so badly. Thank You Jesus!

Everything comes from love, all is ordained for the salvation of man, God does nothing without this goal in mind.

Quote By: -- Catherine of Siena

Philippians 2:11-13

Living Like Christ

My dear friends, you have always obeyed God. You obeyed while I was with you. And you have obeyed even more while I am not with you. So continue to work out your own salvation. Do it with fear and trembling. 13 God is working in you. He wants your plans and your acts to be in keeping with his good purpose.

New International Reader's Version (NIRV) Copyright © 1996, 1998 by International Bible Society

Road Trip personal thoughts!

I have set a lot of goals in my life and have not stuck them through. Not our Father God! He had a goal in mind and He did what it took to bring us Salvation! Salvation is Here because of His endurance and faithfulness. So what I am doing on this Road Trip God Adventure is learning how to work out my salvation, realizing it is all about God working in me for His good purpose. His workout plan is usually not the way I would do things. I have a tendency to do things the easy way, but the Lord takes me down the narrow road that is longer, harder yet in the end it is the road to Grow 2 Go unto endurance!

Philippians 2:11-13

Therefore, my dear ones, as you have always obeyed [my suggestions], so now, not only [with the enthusiasm you would show] in my presence but much more because I am absent, work out (cultivate, carry out to the goal, and fully complete) your own salvation with reverence and awe and trembling (self-distrust, [b]with serious caution, tenderness of conscience, watchfulness against temptation, timidly shrinking from whatever might offend God and discredit the name of Christ). 13[Not in your own strength] for it is God Who is all the while [c]effectually at work in you [energizing and creating in you the power and desire], both to will and to work for His good pleasure and satisfaction and [d]delight.

Road Trip personal thoughts!

I realized a long time ago that the beginning of my journey was giving my life to Jesus, as I received salvation. God's goal is for me to cultivate the life of Jesus in Me, not in my own strength but by allowing His Holy Spirit to work in my body, soul, will, mind and spirit as I learn to submit, yielded myself completely to God. This has been quite a journey for me, the last leg of it was learning a willessness of heart, therefore creating in me an undivided heart that is not rooted to this world.

1 Thessalonians 5:7-9

Those who sleep, sleep at night. Those who get drunk, get drunk at night. 8 But we belong to the day. So let us control ourselves. Let us put the armor of faith and love on our chest. Let us put on the hope of salvation like a helmet. 9 God didn't choose us to receive his anger. He chose us to receive salvation because of what our Lord Jesus Christ has done.

New International Reader's Version (NIRV) Copyright © 1996, 1998 by International Bible Society

Road Trip personal thoughts!

Whenever things seem impossible, I know in Christ that I can do more than I could ever hope or imagine. My mind is my biggest detractor as it vies to be the common denominator of my spirit, so that whatever I think, I am. Yet Jesus Christ became my common denominator when I accepted Him into my heart. Salvation is my helmet of hope that keeps the fiery doubts of my enemy from penetrating my mind, so that I no longer entertain them; instead I live my life with a Huge Hope in Christ Jesus, in my salvation!

1 Peter 1:8-9

You have not seen Christ, but still you love him. You cannot see him now, but you believe in him. So you are filled with a joy that cannot be explained, a joy full of glory.9 And you are receiving the goal of your faith—the salvation of your souls.

Hebrews 2:1-4

It's crucial that we keep a firm grip on what we've heard so that we don't drift off. If the old message delivered by the angels was valid and nobody got away with anything, do you think we can risk neglecting this latest message, this magnificent salvation? First of all, it was delivered in person by the Master, then accurately passed on to us by those who heard it from him. All the while God was validating it with gifts through the Holy Spirit, all sorts of signs and miracles, as he saw fit.

Road Trip personal thoughts!

For so long, I have strived to do so much on my own when truly, I have had the greatest gift in the world and never really valued it. My salvation! I always thought it was about me being good, serving and leading. It is not, it is about Jesus in me because of the gift of Salvation I can do my part, but He does the rest by His Spirit and Power!

Road Trip personal thoughts!

If anything goes together, these two bites of the spiritual nourishment for today do! When I get into my independent mode, it is me trying, wrestling and filling my soul with stinky frustration sweat! Then and Thus… LOL… my mouth goes into the downward spiral created by trying and trying and being frustrated… yes, my mouth at times such as these let's just say: it is not a fountain of life and it does destroy all my joy and then my hope. Trust is a big key factor on this road trip to endurance. It is because without it, I am striving in the flesh and my flesh cannot go the distance that my spirit can when it is in a Holy Alliance with Almighty God! Jesus! So be it! Road Trip personal thoughts!

I have to admit, the cravings for food and for more comfort like TV-DVD has been great the past few days because I am not feeling well and I am used to feeding a fever with what I habitually think is "comfort" to me! I am learning new things. Choice by Choice! I have until February 12th for this leg of the journey. I am fasting my favorite TV shows and in its place putting some good biblical study. I am fasting deserts, breads, chocolate (the hardest…) snacks and eating two meals, one protein shake. I am exercising 5 days a week. For my soul, I am exercising in compassion, writing at least one encouragement a day to mail to someone. I am reawakening my spirit to praise and I think this has been the best improvement of this adventure so far. I am learning not to focus on the 27 more days for this leg of the journey, but to be found in Jesus, Choice by Choice!

Your Name High By: Hillsong

"With eyes on High we praise You!"

"One Desire, To Praise You!"

  • I praise You Lord Jesus and Lift Your Name High!
  • I praise You Powerful Name Of Jesus!
  • I praise You for Your Might, Power and Authority! It Is Great!
  • I praise You, Sovereign God, You Hold All Time In Your Purposes
  • I praise You Omnipotent Father, I praise You For Your Presence!
  • I praise You, Simply Because Your Name Is Destined To Be Lifted High!
  • I praise You, Almighty God, Father, Creator Of My All And Everything! Jesus!

Road Trip personal thoughts!

When I started this adventure, the Lord told me what He wanted me to do. He led me in the 7 day fast and then gave me 40 day diet plan for my body and spirit that will continue with another 325 day life-style diet for my body, soul, mind, will and spirit! My first thought: This is asinine! Totally ridiculous! I am a person with a lousy past in this sort of thing, stinky in failure! I have never stuck out a diet spiritual or body diet plan! Yet here I am, go send me Jesus! He uses the weak to shame the pride!

So far I have learned from Jesus on this Road Trip God Adventure:

  • Prayerfully set His goal in my heart, mark it and then shift the focus and learn to use a shorter gaze, a focus on Him, not my goal.
  • Endurance is Grown 2 Go one day at a time.
  • His plan for me is successful one choice at a time, and that is where His strength is found, in the moment not for the whole goal.
  • Do not compartmentalize my life! That is a biggie. God's Presence wants all of my day and is in my all and everything. Be Aware. Don't shut Him out of any part of my day. I have a bad habit of compartmentalizing my day: it starts with this short sentence "this is God's time"… it is all God's time!

So far, these are the things I have gained from the Grow 2 Go…. Unto endurance Road Trip GOD Adventure.

Road Trip ramah: Spiritual Nourishment 4 strength!

Psalm 92: 11

My eye looks upon those who lie in wait for me; my ears hear the evildoers that rise up against me. 12The [uncompromisingly] righteous shall flourish like the palm tree [be long-lived, stately, upright, useful, and fruitful]; they shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon [majestic, stable, durable, and incorruptible]. 13Planted in the house of the Lord, they shall flourish in the courts of our God. 14[Growing in grace] they shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be full of sap [of spiritual vitality] and [rich in the] verdure [of trust, love, and contentment]. 15[They are living memorials] to show that the Lord is upright and faithful to His promises; He is my Rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.(A)

Road Trip : 2 endurance! attitude- paced- 2-appreciate!

  1. I am thankful Lord Jesus for SAP!
  2. I am sooooo thankful for Your love, and the contentment I find simply in You!
  3. I appreciate so much that there is no, no, no unrighteousness in You. You are my only Hero!
  4. Thank you Lord Jesus that You and You alone have the power to make my life useful, to make it matter!
  5. Thank you Holy Spirit that You "keep me" on the path of Grace; Causing me to Grow in Grace!
  6. I am grateful Jesus, so very, very grateful for the protection You are from my enemies. Jesus! Mighty To Save!
  7. I thank you, My Rock, My Fortress…. My Deliverer! Jesus!

Road Trip 2 endurance/promises for soul nourishment

Psalm 92:8-10

But You, Lord, are on high forever. Promise 9For behold, Your adversaries, O Lord, for behold, Your enemies shall perish; all the evildoers shall be scattered. 10But my horn (emblem of excessive strength and stately grace) You have exalted like that of a wild ox; I am anointed with fresh oil.

Road Trip personal thoughts!

Today, I started out feeling very tired, sick in body, feverish and just plain yucky. I get very munchy when I have a fever. I want food and I want comfort food!!! I want some PIZZA n Root Beer!!! So, I am putting into practice what the Lord said. When I am sick with the flu, I usually shut out everyone, including God because I get sassy and He doesn't fellowship with sassy! I usually am like: "I don't feel well, so it doesn't matter what I do or say! I have a right to be grouchy and everyone needs to just deal! Not my fault, I am sick!" NOT!!! This is a very long life-style habit of mine that is about to be dealt with and changed. I don't feel well, so it is okay to be "sassy" or another word ornery!! Famous words of a sassy-ite: (just made that word up, not in dictionary yet….LOL) "Just leave me alone!" I just read Psalm 92:11-15 this morning and realize it is time to shed my "sassy" garment and put on one that looks "sappy", a pure white garment that glows God's Glory! Okay now… focus, one choice at a time! No compartmentalizing because today, I am learning to be "sappy" instead of "sassy"! Being sick in body, does not give me permission to be ill in will, soul and spirit! HMMMM…. If I am learning to be "completely His" no compartmentalizing, then I will be "sappy"! Growing 2 Go, positioned in His Grace, making the right choice moment to moment and choice by choice, I will be found in the righteousness of Christ Jesus, full of sap! Sap=spiritual vitality that is rich in trust, love and contentment! Every Christians DREAM life-personality is "sappy"! I am ready for this adventure today Lord Jesus, make it so! Make my life a living memorial, a life-legacy unto You! Exchanging "sassy" for "sappy" today!

Road Trip ramah: Spiritual Nourishment 4 strength!

Isaiah 40:28-31

Don't you know who made everything? Haven't you heard about him? The Lord is the God who lives forever. He created everything on earth. He won't become worn out or get tired. No one will ever know how great his understanding is. 29 He gives strength to those who are tired. He gives power to those who are weak. 30 Even young people become worn out and get tired. Even the best of them trip and fall. 31 But those who trust in the Lord will receive new strength. They will fly as high as eagles. They will run and not get tired. They will walk and not grow weak.

  • I love this scripture! I never thought of it in light of being Yoked to God. But I can see in my life where I don't know the Lord in Whole, in my all and everything. I have compartmentalized my life! I need to change that and tear down walls that keep me from being Completely His!
  • My independent nature has made a compartmentalized mess out of my relationship with God. I feel like God wants to tear down the whole structure of it right now!!
  • Jesus wants me to wear His Name, His Yoke continuously. I think to myself: Okay this is God's time with me. I can do this by myself. This is work. This time is just for me to relax. This is ministry. This is me putting God in and out of my compartmentalized life! UGGGG! I need to change this so that I do know Him completely and hear Him in my all and everything!
  • I want to be yoked to Jesus and come to know a perfect love that casts out all but Him and walk in a strength that I could only hope for, dream for or imagine!!
